Staff are friendly. All requests were handled appropriately. The one- bedroom suite we stayed at is spacious and interiors were lovely. It is complete with amenities including a washer and a dryer.

Staff and facilities do earn this hotel 5 stars, credit where credit is due, if only it were not for the MULTIPLE incidents over a two week period where guests are allowed to bring local 'company' into the room causing disturbances to others. The rooms are terribly soundproofed, really awful both between one another and ESPECIALLY with the main corridors, allowing for all sorts of auditory annoyances and embarassments and making the constant coming and going of people and elevator bells in the middle of the night become part of the routine. The poor reception staff is left embarrassed and apologetic, but that does not give back guests the loss of good night sleep, especially as not everyone is in Manila to party!

We had high hopes but unfortunately wasn’t met! The facilities are good, the room is nice but nothing special, and the location is not that convenient. The spa was advertised to us at the reception upon checking in, only to find out later that they closed the spa since covid. One thing that stood out, the poor service from the receptionists. The cafe staff we interacted with are so snobby and didn’t seem like they know what they’re doing. We asked for one thing about the menu before sitting, and she demanded for our room number to give the answer. When we checked in, the receptionist said the breakfast buffet would be 600php, we didn’t decide then because we wanna see what’s on the menu first. Upon checking in the morning, the breakfast fee has gone up to 950php. Basically, they want you to decide right there and then when you check in haha. Also, we booked an airport shuttle service through the same receptionist upon check in, to ensure we can be at the airport at 2am for our flight. We were on time, headed to the lobby, only to find out the the receptionist booked our shuttle service for 4am instead. Mind you, they asked for 1400php fee for this service. They wanted us to wait for the earliest shuttle they can call (to arrive in 20mins) since they already booked for one. The receptionist even asked for our flight details, as if they know any better. We demanded a refund and good thing they gave it. We just booked a grab (uber in the Philippines) and the driver arrived in 2 mins. The ride fee is only 300php compared to the hotel’s fee. Way worth it to get a grab and tip the driver. Overall, wouldn’t come back to this hotel ever. You could get a better hotel, better location for a better price.

This hotel and staff is amazing! From security to management...restaurant staff, room service, bell hop, pool staff, housekeeping. We stayed 4 nights and experienced an earthquake during our stay. The staff was ready for emergency protocol. Every morning we were greeted with smiles and hospitality that I have never experienced before. I cant wait to go back and see the friends we made at the hotel ( all staff btw). Do not hesitate to book with this hotel as you will be amazed by the hospitality. Great pool also! so clean!. Love this place. Thanks to the hardworking and beautiful people who made our stay extraordinary!

Citadines got friendly, kind and caring staff. The room is clean. The housekeeping services are not able to come and clean but they are prompt in delivering what we request to help maintain the cleanliness. Room services staff are pleasant, very attentive and call us daily for feedback to make their service better. Thank you Citadines’ staff for helping us get through our “quarantine days”with ease. Through you, I have seen God’s love. God bless you! Take care and stay safe.

We booked our room on the spot, we have no reservation arrangements due to my kids' busy schedule. Thankfully, the lobby lounge was a nice place to stay even for kids. They enjoyed waiting while taking photos with the lobby lounge decorations that were festive in time for the Independence day celebration. As for our room, it was squeaky clean, larger than most rooms in the metro and very eco-friendly. Citadines is Located in Pasay city, just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. Very central. Thanks to Citadines and to all the people working here. ♥️

From the facilities to the staff, 5/5! It is not my first time staying at a Citadines and I can say that this place did not disappoint. Booked two rooms for 2 nights. The staff were kind and accommodating enough to make our stay more comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay here, especially my aunt who had a quick vacation here in Manila before returning to Hong Kong.

Overall, I like the place. The food was good, the service was okay. The major advantage was it was near our convention venue. The room that we stayed in was very clean. Except for that distinct smell of “body odor” that is very prominent each time we entered the room. There is a parking space in the basement. When we went home it was very late. The guard gladly helped us park. The breakfast buffet was amazing, the food tasted good and fresh.

Citadines Bay City is the best hotel in the Mall of Asia area for me, its very affordable. I liked the honey style of their rooms and the friendliness and courteousness of all the staff. Their breakfast buffet is something great to experience, with many options and affordable too Thanks to Allan and Ben at the front desk

I stayed here for couple of days last October 2020 for govt quarantine protocols. I did not expect the room assigned to me is superb. Credits to the room boys who are helping the guests and doing their jobs hardly from bringing our luggage down from the bus service up to assisting us in our rooms the same as we check out. Staffs are very easy and nice to approach. Thumbs up for this Hotel.

I was in heaven while I stayed there. The room I got was next to perfection. One thing though, I don't know if it's a safety protocol, but it could have been nicer if there was an electric socket inside the comfort room (put in a safe location) so the hair blower could be used inside . 🤷‍♂️

Finally completed my 10 days of quarantine. I am very pleased with the hotel staff. They were all great and responsive to whatever request you have. Thank you so much for making my stay as comfortable as possible. The food was great and the room is very clean. The washer and dryer was a big plus. Special thanks to Vanessa who helped me with my issue with Grab. I highly recommend this hotel if you are doing your quarantine or just need a place to stay in Manila.

Loved that it's near MOA and other restaurants and establishments! Rooms were spacious, and amenities were great! All the staff were polite and accommodating! 👍 Breakfast buffet can get a bit crowded, but we stayed during the holidays, so it is quite understandable. Next time that we'll be attending a concert around MOA Arena, we'll definitely stay here again!

My stay was a very pleasant stay. From check-in to check-out I was attended by very helpful and attentive front desk and concierge especially Alan, Ben and Cathy. During breakfast, staff are also accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is delicious with wide variety. While the room is big enough for family, it is clean and comfortable as well

This is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms and I would have given a 5 star review however unfortunately it wasn’t a 5 star stay. The staff were great and the service brilliant. I booked 2 suites and 2 studios and 3 were great but mine had problems. The sink was blocked and then under the sink the pipe work flooded the room. This was fixed apparently straight away. I honestly don’t mind a fault if it’s fixed. But the next time I used it it was the same. Flooded bathroom. I’d just finished a 30 hour trip from the UK and it wasn’t ideal so it’s a shame. However the hotel is great and I would recommend it for the comfort and location to the mall and also the visa application centre.

Wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. Hotel is just a walking distance from our office which makes staying here at citadines a very logical one. We are always happily accommodated by guest service and restaurant staff. Nice room, nice food and nice staff. Good job Citadines and Allan and Ben

Everything was perfect! The room is very clean and we were very impressed by the service. Anna at the front desk was very helpful with our inquiry, big thanks to her and all the service team. Would definitely choose Citadines Bay City again if we pay a visit to Manila again.

I booked this hotel for the reason that it was near Terminal 4 airport. As you enter the hotel, there's already a good aura of good service. James and Romnick were very helpful from the start. The reception was very nice, nothing too grand, but you can feel at ease already straight away. The room was very spacious compared with other hotels, it had a nice comfy bed, and the pillows were very nice and fluffy. The bathroom was also spacious and has everything that you might need. If you're eco conscious, you're going to like that they use refill shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap. I'm quite particular with the gym in the hotel because I like to work out while waiting for appointments, and theirs doesn't disappoint it was well equipped., the pool was also nice, the size is perfect. Now, about their buffet breakfast, the dishes weren't as big as the other hotels that I've been, but for me, it was just the right size, the selection was nice, and.please try their eggs benedictine it was amazing.Would I recommend it....yes, would I go back....yes, booked my stay there twice in less than a month.

I was skeptical since it was my first time going there but my expectation is exceeded when I got there in Citadine for my business trip. The hotel is nice and the food is great, the hotel staff are also very nice and welcoming, will definitely go back again. Thank you for the accommodation.

Prime location. Walking distance to MOA. Though it has to pass a construction site and could be potentially scary at night. Breakfast is good with variety of fruit and cheese but the coffee is so so. Room is big and comfortable. Can hear the noise in the hallway when certain guests are noisy. The front-desk is as inflexible as any local ones. Got one little spot of blood stain and informed the front-desk immediately so they could wash it off because it's common sense that it's hard to remove after several hours. Yet she insisted the laundry is out-sourced so this has to wait and needed to charge me. So I washed it off in the bathroom myself. Took like 5 minutes. And the housekeeper was happy to change the wet one. So either this front-desk lady lacks basic life knowledge or simply needs some training and attitude tweaking. The job of front-desk is not just being pretty and arrogant. On the other hand the housekeeper lady Evana is very nice and friendly and accommodating and should definitely get a higher role in the hotel. So your reply is prompt but I don't see problem fixed. Your front-desk is still asking about the blood stain, which I told the housekeeper and she witnessed was washed-off by myself since your precious staff refused to help. Again, I handled it myself. Funny how I pay this money to live in a so-called 4-star hotel and get this treatment. I had similar incident in 3-star hotels and was treated better than this. And btw they charged me 4000 for the stupid sheet. If you're too poor to host a hotel, just close off already. Not to mention other similar rated hotels. Never again.

We only stayed one night in this hotel, but everything was just perfect! The rooms were nice and the staff was so kind. We were even able to use the gym and showers the evening before our flight left, although we had checked out in the morning. Definitely a recommendation!

My friend and her husband treated me to dinner here at Citadines. I am truly amazed by the rich flavour of their food here. The portion size was adequate, and the price was reasonable. I'd say the place is also Instagrammable. Because there were few people eating when we arrived, the service was quick from the time we ordered until they served. Cocktails and liquor are also available. While we waited for our food, the waitress brought us a complimentary soup from the kitchen. We had a great time here and would highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay and meals at Citadines because the food was incredibly tasty and the staff and chefs were pleasant and accommodating. They are all smiling, which makes the atmosphere more upbeat. I had a great stay. I will definitely return here to eat.

Great location clean rooms friendly reception. Good breakfast. The sofà was the only odd thing in the room, there's no leg room to sit on it. Other than that, great place

Stayed for 2 nights as I was attending a concert. All staff were very courteous but we had a security concern so that's what kept me from giving 5 stars. My friend who got to the hotel a few hours after I did was just given a keycard to the room without notifying me in any manner, and that was only because they gave my name (without saying the room number).

This is my second time to stay at Citadines Bay City Manila. And same as my first stay, I am still impressed with the hotel's facilities, service and staff. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. I really appreciate that I was able to check-in early and was even upgraded to a premier room. The facilities and amenities in the hotel and inside the room were definitely useful and added convenience. Same as on my first stay, I love the overall calm, quiet and relaxing ambience of the hotel. The staff were all knowledgeable, professional and approachable. I am also satisfied with the breakfast offered, next time, I will definitely try the foods offered by the cafe. If ever that I will be attending a concert again in MoA Arena, I will surely stay in Citadines again.

Overall Summary: Amenities: 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 Breakfast food: 🌷🌷 Staff: 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 Price: 🌷🌷 We needed a room before heading to the airport so I booked a Studio Deluxe room for a night through Agoda. This amounted to 8000 including fees and tax. I was welcomed by Ms. Lyn, one of the nicest receptionist I've ever met. She welcomed me and explained all that I needed to know. My partner was arriving later that day and it was nice of her to ask about my partner and if we were celebrating anything in particular. The room we were given initially had a rancid smell that was really intolerable. I called the front desk to tell them about my predicament and I was surprised that Ms. Lyn herself brought my new set of card keys and transferred me to a nicer room. We were upgraded to a Studio Premier with a mini kitchen. Ms. Lyn was apologetic (although it wasn't her fault) and made the necessary adjustments. Overall, the room was cozy. The kitchen was complete with basic cooking and eating utensils. The was bath was spacious enough. You also get your own water dispenser. The room came with buffet breakfast although the food was short of fine. Nothing was really delish. Bread and pancakes were dry, the meat selection was just ok ( there is no bacon that day which by now should be a staple in breakfast buffets), there was no garlic rice. Coffee and fresh juice is available upon request. Don't expect much from their breakfast. The deck pool is decent enough, but it was the gym that impressed me. For a multi-use apartment/hotel, the gym was more than decent. It was complete with treadmills, weights, different equipment for fitness. Overall, our stay was good, but for 8000 pesos it isn't worth it. I've been to better hotels for half the price (example: Park Inn's basic room at 4000 per night is way better than this premier room).

I like this place—overall— but I couldn't give it five stars. The pastries and breads at the lobby taste like their were baked by a baker who barely passed baking school.

  • 2/5 Louie C. 1 year ago on Google
The good: spacious 1-bedroom accommodation, friendly staff at breakfast and cafe (big applause to Yna, Ben) who were quite helpful during our lunch meals and merienda. Great location and literally walking distance to convenient stores, pharmacy (Mercury), and mall supermarket, coffee shops, and restos. Parking was very convenient too and always had parking spots available at level 2, so thumbs up. The bad and the ugly: Breakfast buffet was just annoyingly and unnecessarily complicated. Rather baffling why there was chicken adobo and beef mechado for breakfast instead. So forget the basics like ham, bacon, corned beef, spam, or tocino. Just scrambled eggs and (local) sausages (longganisa) along with the typical lunch dishes I just mentioned. Then it was just plain rice; no fried rice option. As for west options, there were bread selection (up to 3 if I recall it right) and fruit jams but only offered slices of a single (sandwich) cheese type. So it was such a letdown. Coffee was inconsistent too. There was a DHL corporate event happening so we saw some of the food items being plated and served to them during their brakes. Hence, we suspect that food options may have been intentional but my opinion is that this could be better managed (breakfast is not necessarily the same for lunch and afternoon snacks for obvious reasons). Cost may have made more sense for the hotel but customer delight was an absolute amiss. Thankfully we had it only for 2 days. We stayed at room 910 and it always smelled like sewage when coming back to the room. We suspect it was coming from the kitchen sink (and seemed to be worse everytime we use the sink). It was just unpleasant. There were no available laundry (plastic) bags and those hotel slippers that one would typically expect from decent hotels.

It was an amazing stay and feel delighted for staying here for 5 days. Especial mention to front desk staff Ariane who gave me a complimentary breakfast on my first day which is my birthday, the concierge James, the kuya guard (im sorry i forgot his name), the staff im F&B Ben, and the others who are very cheerful in serving their guests. They are all very friendly and accomodating, the housekeeping for making my room neat and tidy everyday. It may not be a 5 star hotel but the services and good vibes they rendered to every guest is truly made them deserve my 5 star-rating...Thank you Citadines for having such an excellent-service staffs. I will definitely come back and stay here again whenever i come back to Philippines😊
