It's definitely impressive because of it's size, but other than that, I'm not really sure it's worth paying a visit. The entrance fee is 125k / person (Aug 2023) and even though the park surrounding it is large, there aren't many things to do, besides walking around. If you get bored while visiting Bali, you can pay it a visit, however if not... you won't miss anything.

The statue is truly impressive; it's the largest in Indonesia and ranks as the fourth tallest in the world (when you consider its total height, including the stand). To enter the park, there's an admission fee, and if you want to explore the inside of the statue, there's an additional cost. Inside, you'll find a museum where you can learn about its construction and get a glimpse of the structure's interior. I found it quite interesting. However, if you're expecting a breathtaking panoramic view, you might be a bit disappointed. While there are some windows inside, the primary attraction is the opportunity to see the statue's interior, complete with glass floors offering a unique perspective. We paid approximately €19 for park admission and access to the statue.

Ever wonder what that massive statue is wherever you are in Bali? This is it!! A spectacular statue and quite an engineering feat. The tour up the statue will not disappoint. There are little statues all around to buy and bigger ones to have a look. The dance show at 6pm is nice to see but not designed for English speaking tourists so you won’t be able to understand anything. There is a little museum at the end where they dress you up and take professional photos which I highly recommend.

Wasn't sure what to expect. The natural landscape is probably more interesting than the statues. The main one is worth seeing although the two smaller ones were more interesting for wandering around. There are lots of shops and places to eat. There isn't really much to see but it's a reasonably interesting place to wander for an hour or so.

Came to see the statue. Buying a ticket was fairly easy although they were pushing you to buy the higher priced ticket. Free shuttle bus, then if you have paid extra you get to take a buggy. The statue is impressive just by its height. The return trip should have been simple, but it wasn't. The return buggy does not drop you back of at the shuttle bus and you have to walk to the exit. For myself with a heart condition this is not acceptable. I am going to presume the reason they want you to walk to the exit is to try and get you to buy things at the shops. So basically it's a scam. Shame the statue was worth seeing the rest is just a basic scam.

Worth visiting one time. A shuttle bus is available for those who don't like to walk for 2 km to visit a big statue. There is a special ticket to observe the city from 23rd floor of the big statue.

Not worth the drive. The statues are mildly impressive but many portions of the park look unfinished. It's a lot of walking but not with much of a payoff. Don't go for the package with the ride, it's a scam, they just take you on the golf cart through the back route. Finally for going up the statue, that's also not worth it other than getting some air conditioning to have some respite from the heat.

Was interesting but not really much to see. Still in its building stage it’s really only a big monument. There are some shops and restaurants you can use and it’s a very large park.

It is the largest statue in Bali, the third largest in the world. It is mammoth and impressive, but was it really necessary? This I asked myself seeing the whole park and its statue. Costed 100 million dollars it has a recent history and without a great meaning. Impressive the size and height: beautiful the museum on the 23rd floor. However I would recommend it to engineers and architects, not to those looking for culture and history.

Garuda Temple in Bali is a true marvel, earning its 5-stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ status effortlessly. The intricate architecture and serene surroundings create a spiritual haven. The cultural richness is palpable, offering a profound experience. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and a deeper connection with Bali's spiritual heritage.

Good family attraction, still reasonably priced. Would highly recommend the buggy service on hot days. View at the top is nice, and the free performance make it worth while. Check the schedule before visiting as certain events close off parts of the park.

Amazing place to experience Bali culture. Huge Garuda n Wisnu sculptures with fantastic view. Route signs need to be improved in each point to ease the visitors. Worth to visit overall.

Amazing Garuda and Vishnu statue with other smaller, very beautiful and intricate miniature statues within the central building. Outdoor park still under lots of construction work but a must visit for a good cultural trip. Also must visit and dine at the panoramic Jendela Bali. Superb authentic food and view there!

The huge statue is visible from most parts of Denpasar- its the main feature of the ciltural park. Other statues, a cultural dancing display hourly in the amphitheatre, a hall with fun scenes for fun photos. For extra cost you can go up onto the huge Garuda Wisnu statue. A free drink with the entrance ticket entices you into the restaurant outside. Note: if you want to borrow a free umbrella, an ID card/ passport is needed for security.

Amazing park with fascinating sculptures and figures. Hat and water are a must as obvs quite a lot of the site is exposed with little shade other than the museum. Not much food options so best to plan timings and we had some difficulty in picking up the grab

Had a great day there in 2022.... Such a fantastic Cultural Park...in Indonesia... Had witnessed their cultural traditional dance performance too... So much to walk.. Had a different experience.... Nice place... Very beautiful statue...Garuda Vishnu Kencana... Wonderful views too. Kindly carry an umbrella or put on a hat as it is likely to be sunny there..as i visited by 3pm ... For those who do not wish to walk, there is a buggy service as well for which u need to pay extra apart from the entry ticket price... Can do shopping too as there are lots of stores ...

Very beautiful park showing Balinese culture! Amazing & breathtaking statues. Many great spot for taking pictures. I would like to recommend getting the one-way buggy car ticket to avoid walking uphill.

This place was very cool. Long walk up to the top in the heat but so worth it. Lots of cool things to see on the way up also, like the big rock formations that you walk through. Costs 125k or 200k and that includes a lunch. You can also pay 40k for a golf cart ride up and down but it's only about a 400m walk. Costs an extra 250k to go to the top of the statue which we didn't do but the view would have been amazing. I recommend this place.

Bring a good pair of walking shoes, Hat to keep sun off your face, and be prepared to have your mind blown. The construction of this eighth wonder of the world is amazing. We were a little bummed the elevator was closed after the long up hill hike to the monument. Would be nice if the park directors could be honest with their guests instead of pushing extra services at main entrance.

Definitely recommend, beautiful sights. Amazing ceremony at 6pm. The shuttle bus takes you up to the main attraction due to the construction currently going on, once under the statue you learn about the history. A work in progress but has a lot of potential.

Beautiful cultural park. Great initiative. Make sure you don't come with a time constraint. Cone with a minimum of 2 hours on clock. You can watch the dance and also enjoy a good stroll looking at the magnificent statue of Lord Vishnu. If you can walk, then prefer to walk and not take the cabby.

Price is 125K IDR per person + 60K IDR for a buggy (per person) to bring you to the main statue. + additional cost to go up the statue.. Half under construction, half already old + paths are not well indicated Not worth the price and not really the best time investment when you visit Bali

Magnificent, unbelievable, magnanimous.... I can speak about this place all day around. When you are about to land in Bali airport, this place catches your sight then and there itself. It’s so so so big that you can see it when you are in plane and then you just crave to visit this beautiful place. You reach the GWK and hop onto a bus from the parking area to the ticket counters. You wait for your turn and buy tickets to visit the statue. Tickets cost you 125.000 per person. With the tickets you get free gift which is a yellow cloth with GWK statue print on it. You have option to opt for cart to the statue or prefer to walk. My wife and me preferred to walk. Bali has a clean air and there is this fragrance all over this city. You want to feel it and enjoy every bit of it. Walk will take around 25 minutes but it’s worth it. Lord Vishnu riding on Garuda. This is not just a statue it’s about the culture of this amazing country. They are not just religious it’s their faith that God keeps them healthy, wealthy and karma is the basis of life. They smile at you, greet you and thank you for contributing to their economy. Also you can prefer to take bicycle to the status from the entrance but again will suggest you to walk. On the ground floor of the grand statue you will notice that future plans for this lovely place are amazing too. I can recall this futuristic picture of how GWK will look in night. You can spend a day in this place.

Finally able to visit this massive statue after seeing their reopening promotion on Instagram. Keep in mind that you need to pay a separate ticket in order to go up to the statue's shoulder on the 23rd floor even if you already paid a ticket to enter the park itself. We went there on Friday (26/11/21) which wasn't too busy and we went up in a group of 7 to 8 people. The tour guide will first take you to the 9th floor where they will explain the history of the statue, then up to the 23rd floor where there's a viewing gallery (claimed to be the highest view point in Bali) and little glass walkway. There isn't much to see up there and the windows are small, but I think it's worth the visit if you don't mind with panoramic views. Staffs are friendly and the history presentation is well explained. Note: To go here from the park's main entrance you can either walk through the retails and the plaza (approx. 20 mins), or take a buggy service which costs money. It's your choice.

A very beautiful cultural park. Went there on my last day trip to Bali. Witness the majestic statue towering above me. Overall the park is very spacious. The entry fee of Rp125k is quite reasonable for a tourist attraction and this includes many of the other attractions in the park. You can opt for the buggy ride at Rp40k. This is good for those who would prefer not to walk from the main entrance to the GWK statue. There is an additional fee of Rp250k (iirc) if you want to go on top of the statue for a more panoramic view of the park and beyond. I didn't get to watch the traditional performance as I didn't stay until late. The art museum (entry fee included with the park admission) is very informative about the different yet similar culture of the Balinese and East Javanese. There is even a photographic service if you want to. Prices vary depending on the package chose. There is quite a few eateries yo fill your tummy and the gift shop has plenty of souvenirs to bring back home too. All these are payable by cards. And if you still like more shopping, there are more souvenir shops located along the stretch of walkway leading back to the main entrance. But all are on cash payment basis. Having said the above, what GWK can improve is on some of the signs. As there are some tourists that may not know where and how to go about the park, especially the part where it's at the "walk only" area. For example, there are a few that asked about where they can claim their "welcome drink" which were included with the entrance fee. But overall, it was a mind blowing experience. Will surely recommend for people to visit the place if they have a chance to.

Such a surprising place! Was not expecting the statue to be as big as it was. We did the top of the tower experience which was very informative. Highly recommend getting the buggy pass to avoid a fairly long and steep walk up to the statue

This statue is possibly the highest in Bali. Very good architecture alongwith scenic beauty. The place is peaceful too.

Giant statue, very cool to see. 125k entry, but you see three statues, and there is a food court, Starbucks, gift shop, clothings stops, and a nice restaurant. There is a shuttle service for 30k, but if you can walk uphill for 5-10 minutes, and do a few stairs, you don’t really need the shuttle service.

Disappointing visit, so little to see and to be honest the entrance to the park is much more grand than the park with the statue itself. The show with the traditional dance was very good though but if you want to visit it you will be done in less than 90 minutes including the show.

Amazing statue, a testament to the lovely Balinese. U can buggy it up, but we walked, only 15 minutes with kids and enjoying the fresh air. Some nice photo ops, but I suggest going to the main statue and doing your thing, then taking it easy to check everything out on the way back. We went and did a full tour to the 29th level... spectacular view from the tunnel windows, the experience was nice but not for children as mine got bored lol. If u love ice cream, you have to try the ice cream at ground level near the elevator, the velvet, mangoe, strawberry, and yes, the bubble gum flavors rocked !! Overall, it was a great experience. Hidden gem was the painting in the corridor going to the bathroom, check them out as they tell the story of the Hindu Gods... if u look closely, you may see UFOs or the magnificent levitating islands of Pandora... amazing stuff

Almighty Lord Vishnu's beautiful sculpture in Bali. You will enjoy the balinese cultural dance performed by the locals during special events. A must visit place if you're in Bali for vacation.

This place is really amazing! If you come to Bali but you did not come to this place, I think you missed something on your holiday. After 3 PM lot of shows will be held, so don't miss it!

  • 3/5 pradeep p. 4 years ago on Google
This is a man made structure which is of a recent origin and does not hold historical significance. The statue is of mammoth size and the area to be covered as part of the visit is also huge and tiring especially if it is hot and humid. The management does provide for alternate means of transport which includes electric vehicles. The center also hosts a cultural center with different performances running at fixed timings, one can enjoy such performances, which are lively and all the more you get a shelter to hide from the sun.

Must visit! Best time is late evening - when the place is lit up - on way back from watching the sunset at Uluwatu. Sit on the open deck of the restaurant to enjoy lights below towards Kuta.
