We had a lovely time being hosted at Folias De Baco, it was so good we went twice so we could try everything on the menu! Despite our poor attempts at broken Portuguese we were made to feel so welcome, as if invited into their own home. It's a fantastic place to try authentic Portuguese cuisine in a warm and intimate setting. What makes this place extra special is the natural wine, coming from their own vineyards which we visited whilst staying in the Duoro. This is exactly what we were looking for, the perfectly authentic Porto foodie experience with effortlessly warm and attentive hosting. It's small so do call and book a table so you can visit too!

Had a glass of organic red wine made with both red and white grapes, octopus salad, a traditional Portuguese dish with bread and meat (I forget what it was called), mackerel bruschetta, and a second glass of organic red wine made from just red grapes. The octopus salad was FANTASTIC 👌 Both glasses of wine were really, really good 👍

Amazing small authentic restaurant that is associated with a winery. The server was extremely knowledge and friendly. He spends a lot of time with every table explaining the menu and the different wines. The food came quickly and tasted great. For two people and €15 each we got bread, olives, cheese plate, meat plate, sausage, two specialty toasts, two espressos and a bottle of sparkling water. There were many varieties and flavors to choose from. Everything on the wine list sounded amazing and we learned a lot about each one by our server. Needless to say, the wine we got was amazing. Highly recommend. Call in advance to reserve your table.

What a fantastic place! They are cash only, but that shouldn’t deter you from going. You should definitely call ahead as they are very busy and I watched them turn away at least 5 parties in like 30 minutes. I had the octopus salad, a tomato crostini, and the most incredible custom made dessert, black sesame pudding. While I don’t drink wine, I hear their selection is incredible (and their own!). Please go and enjoy Andre’s incredible hosting skills, as he speaks English, Spanish, and of course Portuguese.

It's possible to get a table straight from the street but it's also warto to just book a table in advance as the space is rather small - which is an advantage as atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. Level of service is at high and you really feel taken care of. The manager of the taberna takes time to explain you fixed dinner menu (both vegetarian and meat) as well as makes sure you understand your wine options. Food is freshly prepared - you can see it and wine is just over the moon! We will definitely come back during our next trip to Porto. Obrigado ;)

The food is more than delicious, the place is cute and people are really nice. Nothing wrong about this restaurant. We came back to Porto this year and this is the first place we went to right after we landed. We will come back every time we will be in Porto, and never ever disappointed. We had an early dinner in this cozy little Taberna and oh what an experience. The place is located in a narrow street and first we almost passed it. The entry was blocked by a small table with some disinfectant gel and a sign to wait to be seated. They have a great variety of food and drinks and we choose the menu included several tasting dishes like cheese, ham, sausage and toasts, everything from local farmers. They also have a menu for vegetarian folks. At first we thought the food is not going to be enough but it was plenty. Must try the desert too. Overall a great local place with nice atmosphere, super nice staff and you cannot beat the price. Including a tasting menu, desert, wine and water we paid 40eu for two. Simply mind blowing.
