If you are in need of some adventurous offroad ride, and a lovely jungle stay, am sure you have arrived at the right place. One will definitely enjoy the serenity of the Idukki forest and dozens of beautiful landscapes around. The stay in Thekkady heights is a heaven like experience, amidst of jungle. The area is covered by huge jungle trees and cardamom plantations in between. The rooms are very well organized. Great care is taken by hosts, reflecting their taste of friendliness and hospitality. The food is also very good, especially the barbecue. The campfire facilities provided were of top class and enjoyed every bit of it. For those interested in fishing and swimming can explore the pond by means of pedal boating, rowing etc & etcs, which is very adjacent to the stay. The area is also found to be rich with various wildlife. If you are lucky enough you could possibly snap some wild buffaloes, bears, elephants, deers followed by hornbills and numerous species of birds. Providing an excellent scope for those who are passionate about photography. One could even roam around the near by areas and cover some interesting view points. Overall a great place to hangout with family and friends with excellent vibes. Highly recommended.

Forest home stay. Located inside cardamom estate. 3BHK house with food. Tracking available here. Two swimming pool are available, one large there pedal boat and kuttavanchi available here. Neat, clean and hygienic place. Peaceful place. Many animals and species are here to see. Elephant, bear, fox and some time tigers rarely see there. This place reaching only home stay off road jeep. Our vehicle is parking near the thekkedy road HP pump. Off road experience are heavy both tracking and way to the home stay. Cost of stay depends upon the person. All types of people can enjoy here except senior citizens because hospital cases travelling is to difficult. Customer friendly service available here. Fire camp and grilled chicken music system etc are available. House is constructed full modern for attracting foreigners also. Fully cold climate. Enjoy each moment's.

Very nice and calm place for relaxing. Very near to the boundary of Periyar Tiger reserve at Vandiperiyar. You have to take a offroad drive to reach here. Great location. Serene place. Full of fresh air and oxygen. As it is in a forest area, you can enjoy the sounds of various birds and animals. You can watch birds and see wild animals around here. The rooms are very neat and clean. The environment is clean and clear. The area is well maintained. If you want to relax, away from the city life and refresh yourself, this is the best place. The offroad experience was awesome with a 360degree valley view at the top.The food provided is very tasty and homely. The ambience and the scenic beauty of the place is remarkable. The staff are extremely courteous and gentle,specially the owner seby. Great place. Surely will visit again

A Quiet hide out on the fringes of periyar reserve forest, located about 2km away from Kottayam kumily Road. The 10mts drive from KK Road to this place, through cardamom plantations with tough roads and rough terrain itself is an experience. The place per se is surrounded by cardamom plantations. There's a small check dam where they grow fish. Guest are allowed to boat in dam as well as catch fish using traditional hooks. Isolation is the word which comes to mind when I remember the place. The nature around and your companions are all, thats left in the world for you.. There's a hiking / Jeep trail nearby where you can go to the edge/ into the reserve, where the view of green mountains & valleys in 360 degrees awaits you.. The place is frequently visited by animals as it's near the reserve. So venturing out in night can be dangerous. Rooms are basic and neat. They have a dedicated barbeque place as well. The host also provides a music system. Food was tasty and had flavours of our local Kerala cuisine. They give the property in entirety, so, it's a good choice for bachelor escapades. The price quoted online thou is a bit expensive for the amneties and room. Ideally, it's a 10k max property excluding the vehicle expenses.

From the adventurous off road ride there the place has something special to offer. The secluded cottage in the middle of the plantation is just serene. With no sound to distract you, you can listen to the sounds of the nature in peace. The view from above is just beautiful. And the food was too good. With the barbeque made after the campfire and the fishing in the pond it was a great foodie experience too.

Beautiful place beyond the word's. Especially the staff make us feeling comfortable. The chef was really great, binoy and thankachan. Anyway looking forward to come back asap.
