100% Satisfaction! Our waiter was extremely attentive and had many other patrons to tend to. Food was aesthetically pleasing as it was palatable. The atmosphere was most enjoyable! Watching others being seated and the smiles on their faces just shows how excited a person feels coming to this restaurant. Fresh guacamole made to your liking was icing on the cake. Every employee was constantly working hard and with a smile. I will return again soon!

Me and my husband had a great time, great food, and great margaritas here. Honestly, we had excellent customer service, almost as soon as we sat down we were offered guac to be freshly made right at our table! Also, our waitress was very attentive without making us feel rushed. We will definitely frequent this place! Hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant.

A very solid first impression! It was a good 20 to 30 minutes of waiting just to get a single seat at the bar, but worth every minute. Above and beyond great service! Excellent well balanced portion sizes. Incredible flavours and I ordered the seafood Fajitas which includes shrimp, scallops and the fake crab as proteins. They put a nice twist on the presentation of the rice and beans plate which was a nice break from the traditional look. Once again flavours were the star of the show. I would highly recommend people try this place as every dish looked and smelt amazing. They have a large selection of drink options as well. Even have some nice dessert 🍨 options too! There are additional meal options for kids etc.. Basically this place has everything covered As I eat out for almost every meal and have eaten at more than 300 Mexican restaurants across 🇨🇦 the United States and Mexico 🇲🇽 in the last 6 years. I would definitely put this place in my top 10%.

We got there just before the dinner rush on a Friday night, and were seated right away. Just a few minutes later there was a 25 minute wait for a table. The table side guacamole is worth the price. Absolutely fantastic. I could not decide which Tacos to try, and the waiter said that he could do one of each of 3 different types, except the walleye Tacos. I tried the chicken, the steak, and their special for the night, a pork and pineapple concoction. Spectacular. My companion had the chicken in a Chipotle cream sauce with mushrooms which was also divine. Service was also excellent even though our waiter was dealing with a difficult table near us. I would definitely recommend you go early. Food is worth a bit of a wait though!

Really good food and service, much better than one could hope for and it would still be delicious in a city ten times the size of Grand Forks. Conveniently located right off of Interstate 29 too. The place was exceptionally clean too.

Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Grand Forks. Has a variety of authentic Mexican food options with some interesting alcohol choices too! Food was literally served faster than a fast food restaurant.

Get there early! It's packed! We waited for an hour but it was worth it. The salsa actually has spice and heat. Fresh guacamole made at your table. Great drinks. Food reminds me if what I could get in California. First Mexican restaurant I will return to for more since moving to the northwest.

As soon as I walked in they sat me down and gave me a big bowl of chips (really nice and warm and crispy) w a flask of salsa (not very spicy 🌶 thank goodness but just right). It’s wonderful when you are starving after a long day of work. The margaritas as huge here and the glasses are beautiful. The cups are also beautiful for just even my hot water I asked for. The staff are all friendly and nice and talk with you just because they seem to like people which is very awesome. If the staff aren’t happy it’s not a place I want to eat at. They have horchata here too! It’s a rice drink and it’s so good and different flavors. There are vegetarian options as most Mexican food allows for and they had a specifically vegetarian dish that you can make as a fajita or burrito or quesadilla or other ways of having vegetables. They also have a fresh guacamole 🥑 station person who comes around to make fresh guacamole at your table for an extra fee of $11 and you can have it with your meal or your chips. You can add anything from the cart to your guacamole that you want so it’s tailored to your liking. The fajitas I ordered came so fast I didn’t even wait for my meal after ordering it. I was so amazed they worked like NYC style…asap. No time wasted if you want to eat right away. I think it was not more than 7 min after I ordered it that I got my fajitas. It came with rice, sliced avocado, beans, and pico de gallo (again perfectly mild and not spicy bc that kills the taste for me so it was perfect), and also 3 corn or flour tortillas warmed up and placed in the the tortillas container to stay warm. My waiter Feyo asked me how I was doing 9 times during my dinner. Just awesome. That’s a record for me in my entire life of dining! So Amazed at how much attention he gave me while busy with all his other customers. Shout out to Franklin who was so sweet and friendly and talked w me while I ate at the bar and taught me some things about surviving North Dakota cold in -30 degrees. Just a great atmosphere to eat and enjoy watching TV or sports at while you enjoy Mexican food. BTW the tap water was great too bc they put a fresh slice of seedless cucumber in a tall and huge clean glass and it was so refreshing. I ate the cucumber slice at the end because it was inviting! Most places never think to add cucumbers to water … hotels maybe but not a restaurant. The decor is beautiful. The tables are easy to clean and updated. The bathroom was clean and pretty. And the icing on the cake! The pay process is so fast w a personal card hand held biller the waiter brings to you and all you do is tap your card! No waiting for paper receipts…no paper wasted...all green...and all done in 3 seconds. Plus, the tip guide is presented to you on the handheld device so no need to calculate.

I was offered guacamole dip from a cart a woman goes around making with different ingredients. When I saw the portion, I should've asked if it cost money. I'm a little angry that I wasn't told. It cost $11.00, and before I found that out by seeing it on the bill, I already made the statement I didn't like it. I was disappointed that my seat couldn't see the TV, which I was very interested in watching. There was a beam blocking my view. The water had an odd taste so I didn't finish it and otherwise it was OK. On the fence if the meat was cut too thin. Very friendly staff. Very clean place. When we're in Grand Forks, our go-to mexican restaurant is Casa Mexico in East Grand Forks. Unfortunately it was closed, assuming it was a covid closure. Well we decided to try a new Mexican restaurant in Grand Forks(new to us, since we haven't been to Grand Forks since 2019) We were not disapointed, what a fantastic restaurant! Food was amazing! As authentic as you will get for Mexican food in the Great white north. From the chips and salsa waiting at our table, to the fresh guacamole made at our table, to the meals we ordered....absolutely delicious! Had the Carne Asada myself and it was awesome. Shout out to Jose, our construction worker server from California. Service was great, as was the atmosphere. Will be back and would recommend to all to try this place out!

This was my first visit to Charras Restaurant in Grand Forks. The service was instant and friendly. Nice atmosphere with Mexican music playing on the speakers. The food was absolutely authentic and delicious. Tortilla chips and salsa are homemade, and guacamole is made fresh right at your table. We arrived early for dinner, and the place filled up quickly, even for a Tuesday evening. This is a place you must visit. You won't be disappointed.

We had a party of 10 that turned into 11 and it was no problem for the server and host. They accommodated the change without an issue. Our server was fast, friendly, and energetic and even split the bill for us. The food was amazing. All 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Amazing place, fresh guac made tableside, and delicious tortilla chips and salsa (could be a bit spicier) and cucumber ice water. Everyone's entree was so delicious, we all cleaned our plate even though portions were generous! Cocktails looked amazing but we were there for lunch, so will have try some of those next time. Also yummy were the dessert churros with Mexican chocolate. Very quick service from the attentive and hard-working staff. Highly recommend over other Mexican restaurants in Grand Forks!

Every so often that craving for Mexican food hits, and I tell you what, no other place hits the spot like Charras. The food is top quality, authentic, and service is phenomenal, if you get in early they have your food ready quicker than most fast food places. Now can it be a little pricey sometimes, yes, (those drinks add up), but il tell you what, it's worth it every time. Especially for that handmade guacamole, so good, I love going with a friend, and eating while watching and guessing trivia that they have on on of the tvs. Would and will go again.

Awesome first IMPRESSION! As going in we were greeted and seated quickly. I have to mention being hispanic I felt the atmosphere very nicely decorated. Server was awesome since we got seated. She was on top of our drinks and requests! I will share that the pricing is average to the plate size. Foof was very good!!! Chips and salsa IS A MUST! SALSA WAS GREAT!!! Tasted AUTHENTIC! food was a 100/10. I got a quesadilla fajita plate w steak. Steak had a great flavor! We ordered guacamole and its made fresh by your table which was awesome something i had not seen in any other mex restaurant. We got churros also with ice cream on the side and OMG!!! AWESOME!!! This restaurant is a MUST GO TO if you want to taste AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN ALL GRAND FORKS MEXICAN RESTAURANTS!!

Great place to get some delicious food. They have the guacamole cart that makes it fresh by your table to your gusto. Place opens from 3 to 10:00, we got there at 3:10 on a Sunday and place was packed. We ordered parrillada for two and all four of us ate. Good drinks and good service. Worth the wait.

This was more about the experience! Table side guacamole! 🔥 The fish tacos 🌮 😋... sorry, I was chewing! The fish tacos are delicious!! Desert was something to be excited about too. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience.

Absolutely amazing Mexican food!! We loved everything we ordered and the staff were great! The only thing I would suggest is the guacamole cart lady advise you that there is an $11.00 charge, she just asked us if we wanted fresh guacamole. I guess I should never assume anything is free…
