I wish there could be more nice things to say about this resort but unfortunately our experience was not that great. Our room was beautiful and cozy but there were kids screaming and playing in the hallway at 11pm. My husband’s golf cart was taken apart and his things went missing. We had to call the manager day after day to follow up if not they would not even call us. Some of the valet guys were great and hospitable but then another one decided to scream at my husband because we decided to get our own luggage cart after calling for 1 hour and no one was answering. For the amount of money we paid, we expected to have the best experience. We are now staying at a smaller hotel also Marriott and have had a way better experience.

I think this could be an amazing hotel but they have a few things that need to be fixed before we will return. Rooms- Some of the rooms have been updated and some have not- if you enjoy an updated room- do not stay in the magnolia building. We paid the same price as our friends and while there room was updated and had two sinks in the bathroom, ours did not. The rooms are very large so that is a plus! Food- breakfast was a daily NIGHTMARE. Buffet is included for some rooms but everyday was a super long to even put your name on the list and then a 45-60 minute wait. The Starbucks line was crazy and room service took over an hour every day. Pool- the water park is amazing but make sure you wake up early and are willing to stand in a long line to get chairs. I just don’t think they have enough. Food was good at the water park but service was hit or miss. They also give you a wrist band and claim it’s $300 if you misplace it. At checkout we asked what they would like for us to do with these, to make sure we weren’t charged and the lady said they don’t charge for them and they didn’t need them back. The valet/ parking area is always crazy and no one seems to be directing or helping. Leaving my husband was out there directing traffic to get cars to move and go to the right place so we could get our Uber. I have never written a review but felt this was needed because while the water park and location are great. The service was not worth the price we paid for the rooms.

Don't waste your money if you're going for the water park. The entire reason we stayed at the Turnberry Resort was to enjoy the water park with our eight year old son. We were in town last Thanksgiving and stayed off-site, but visited the park twice and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, for a park with a capacity of over 3800 people, it is apparently acceptable to have only fifteen tubes for the upper two rides. We spoke with management, who didn't seem to be all that concerned and even said "that's the way it's always been". When we in formed him it was not our first time at the resort, the response was "well, that's what it is." At this point, I don't believe we could recommend Turnberry for that reason alone. It is quite more expensive than other hotels in the area and when you can't even use the main attraction, it's kind of pointless. Also, the staff seemed more concerned about pleasing the special parties each day than addressing concerns of patrons who were staying at the hotel. This was one of my worst experiences with a Marriott to date.

We took our family of 7 (4 children) to stay here over the spring break week in Florida and it was the most overrated over priced horrible customer service Marriott I ever stayed at. The unfortunate part is I was looking forward to taking my family here before Covid when the water park first opened. Everything was overpriced and the rooms for a family with 4 children only included a mini bar with not one drink for children. The mini bar is controlled by a sensor and if you remove any item for longer than 30 seconds you get charged for it. The ice machine didn't work and had no ice in it for the 2 nights we stayed and booked 2 rooms for our 7 person party. For a five star hotel I would expect a five star customer service friendly environment for kids since we are there for the water park. When I went down to talk to the front desk about it the woman at the front desk told me they have fridges upon request for families but they don't offer them we have to request them. I told her that is ridiculous why wouldn't these be offered to all families staying at the resort for the water park. How do we store cold drinks for our children after a long day at the water park? Why aren't guests made aware of this when they check in? I said to her I can't believe I am the first person to complain about this. She told me "yes as a matter of fact you are"! I had to actually walk away from this woman because she had no customer service skills whatsoever. Jacob was the one who helped me at the front desk and agreed with me. He made sure they sent a fridge to our room with extra water. His customer service skills were phenomenal. When we went to the pool almost everyone ignored us instead of helping us find seats together for our family at the water park. But there was one woman who I believe was from Jamaica and she went above and beyond to help us. If it wasn't for Jacob at the front desk and the nice woman at the pool it would have been a nightmare weekend. Thank goodness for these 2 staff members. I will never return again!

From the entrance, Bell Hop Julio and Valet Gabriel, Inwas greeted like a true Guest and the check in process was great! Efficient and friendly, I was even given a free drink at the super swanky bar. During my stay every single employee from housekeeping, room service, to pool and front desk, they were so kind, helpful and most importantly authentically compassionate. My room was great, I had a nice balcony and two queen beds. I love it here. Highly recommend.

As a paraplegic I stayed in an ADA room. First let me say it is a beautiful resort and the service was always done with a smile. Unfortunately there are a few things that should be improved for wheelchair users. The beds in the room were lower, which is great for transfers but the mattress was an old spring mattress and extremely hard. I had to make sure to wake up every two hours to turn myself so I didn’t begin a bedsore. The toilet needs to be raised also. While I was showering the provided shower chair broke and collapsed under me. Thank goodness my daughter was still in the room!! The pain and fright had me shaking for hours afterwards. One more thing, the carpet in the hotel has deep padding and it was extremely hard to push myself on. I needed assistance often because of major fatigue. May i suggest a runner on the side for wheelchair users to make it easier.

Beautiful Resort! I was in town for a conference so I didn’t get to explore all of the property but I what I did see was amazing, clean, welcoming, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. My room had a wonderful view. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was a joy to shower and get ready in so bright and clean. Love the layout! The room I stayed in also had a loveseat/couch and a desk which provided a nice separation of space for me for this working trip. I noticed they had a Bourbon Steak restaurant right by the Lobby- I didn’t eat at this location however I have eaten at others and their food and presentations are fantastic. Each night I walked by and could smell the deliciousness of the dinners being served.

We have stayed here twice and have enjoyed their water park both times & absolutely love it here! Looking forward to being back soon. The pools, the slides & the lazy river are great too. Hotel and Pool/park area are well maintained & clean. All staff members have been welcoming & accommodating. The only reason why I am giving them a four star is because I feel like there should be a different system for outside guests. The first time we went, there were so many non guests in the pool area that a lot of the hotel guests had nowhere to sit. I feel like hotel guests should have priority.

I am a platinum guest at Bonvoy. I asked for an early check in. I can every hour from 7am to 6pm. They could not give me a room. They were always about to have it clean. It was always about to e a great room. I spent the day carrying my suitcase back and forth across the property. Talk about recognition

The hotel wants to milk you dry and will sacrifice your experience to do so. I understand that they are running a business, but when you are paying for a stay, you are not expecting to be nickel and dimed on everything. We stayed in an upgraded room and were surprised to not find such basics and microwave or a fridge. This is extremely inconvenient when you are traveling with small children. They are forcing you to keep going to their overpriced restaurants serving overpriced fried food. Even preparing a bottle of milk is not possible. The room only had two bottles of water and room service did not show up or replenish anything during out stay. The property is nice, but there is no pool that you can go with the children outside of the aqua-park. The main pool is for adults only during the day and it closes at 7. The regular parking is $40 dollars a day! The whole place is giant parking lot. Overall would not recommend, there are many better options.

The property is good and the staff is great but the overall impression of the hotel is not good for the price they charge, in my opinion. Rooms are outdated, AC makes a sound like if you are near a lawnmower plus the temperature never goes under 72. Bathroom has a lot of tiles broken and the shower was constantly dropping water (at night that sounds like a terror movie 😂), also the toilet tank continuously sounded like you had flushed the toilet. Rooms are very noisy, you can heard people walking in the hallway, kids playing outside (even in the 1st floor) and even you can heard when people in the room next to you flushed the toilet. Rooms doesn’t have fridge, they only have a small minibar full (see my pictures) so no space to storage anything for the kids. Pool is only for adults, so when you travel with kids you had been force to stay all day at the overcrowded water park. The lazy river at the water park is REALLY LAZY, the amount of people inside makes almost impossible to get move in the tub. Lines for the slides were crazy not to mention the lines at the bar, it was like a concert because if the amount of people inside the small water park. Imagine how crowded was the water park that my kids preferred to go home on Sunday rather than go to the water park. Hotel is really busy and valet is the better example of that. To get your car you need to wait from 20 to 40 minutes and I’m not exaggerating. I cannot tell about the restaurant’s because we prefer to go out to eat, prices at the hotel are way high 🤯, besides there are plenty of options nearby. I don’t think I’ll return to the hotel, there are better options for the same rates.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that your staff created. Everyone we encountered was not only professional but also genuinely pleasant, making us feel at home during our entire stay. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing! The serene ambiance and the variety of treatments available provided us with a much-needed opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. It was truly a highlight of our visit. Additionally, I must mention the tidal cove, which was a true delight for our kids. They thoroughly enjoyed their time there, and we couldn't be happier to see them having so much fun in a safe and enjoyable environment. One person who stood out during our time at the tidal cove was Patty at the tidal cove bar. Her exceptional customer service and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on us. She went above and beyond to ensure our time at the cove was enjoyable, and we cannot thank her enough for the wonderful service she provided.

The Hotel is nice but the front desk staff needs training, I was charged almost $300 in 2 credit cards for incidentals, the breakfast area was too small for such a huge resort, also I served milk to my 3 yrs old daughter and was spoilaged, the cook to order lane was too big! The water park too crowed with local people... The Hotel pool won't allowe kids in there until 5pm... Does not make sense! Valet parking takes half an hour. If you want to rest, stay somewhere else!

Loved my stay at the Turnberry. Everything was top notch. I had some issues at check in and parking, but the resort itself was enjoyable. Great water park, golf course, fabulous steakhouse, and a very welcoming room.

Outclass, one of the best resorts in Miami. Superb and huge rooms and the golf course is amazing which is a treat for golfers. The view from higher floor rooms are beautiful as evident from the pictures. The resort is very well kept and the staff is also very helpful. There is also a water park inside the premises which is a must try for kids. There is a nice big pool as well in the middle of the complex. Aventura mall is rite across the resort and one can find almost all brands there including at Tesla dealership.

Arrival was the worst and unorganized, we let that go because as business owners we understand how staffing can be. We then find out that the suite we book only came with 3 water park bands. A typical family coming to enjoy the resort almost certainly consist of more than 3 ppl. We had to purchase additional bands that were very expensive. Although this is a prestige area you still have to be realistic with the pricing of the park.. considering the size of the park & letting anyone purchase tickets without having to be a guest there. The weather was bad, not their fault.. but they never explain the time the water park closed so we wasted money on the first day, by the time we got to the water park they were closed and allowed us an hour to swim in the pool. Getting to our room, we were in the Jasmin wing. After several nights of staying we realized that our door had not locked the entire time. We had to call Several times before the manager came to the room. Not only was this unsafe, it was difficult to get assistance. The let out bed sheets and comforter were not clean, they had red stains on them and sand. Called for new covers, they told us someone would be up shortly, they never came. The bathroom door didn’t lock, and kept popping open so there was no privacy. We chose this location for our family annually vacation, and sadly we were terribly disappointed. The valet guys were very nice, as well as the employees. However the experience and what it cost us.. so not worth it. With all the fees they charge, daily resort .. parking … we should have went out the country

Rooms are not luxurious at all. The carpet was broken and the room was dusty. I asked for another room but they said all the rooms were the same. Water park was great. The food is “okay” but overpriced for what it is. The service was great and the staff was friendly. Overall the hotel and food is overpriced but the kids had a great time.

My family stayed here for 4 nights. The grounds, hotel lobby, and rooms were beautiful and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price of the rooms included the cost of the attached water park at Tidal Cove. An overall great experience and we will likely return.

If money is no concern to you, then this place is hard to beat. It has everything you would want in a resort, such as included gym, steam room and Himalayan salt, water park, and golf course. They also offer other premium services like massages and room service. The food and drinks at the restaurants here are excellent. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The rooms are typical Marriott quality, good if you like them, bad if you don't. My only gripe and the reason why this is 4 stars is that there are no included dining options. I have been to many other Marriott hotels and resorts, and so far this is the only one that does not offer complimentary breakfast or at least to-go boxes for gold/elite members. I would of been fine with the prices of everything else, including the drinks (which I paid $52 dollars for 2 pool side drinks, by the way) had they had some sort of complimentary snack or breakfast. Breakfast buffet is $36 + 18% service charge (standard every time, and almost every where in Miami, just FYI) + any additional tips.

The rooms here are nice and it is great to have a local water park that the children really do enjoy. However, some of the staff treatment to certain guests is just uncalled for. We recently stayed at this hotel this past weekend, and it just fell short of amazing starting with our check in experience. The hotel was over booked so although we received a confirmation email of our reservation we were told to wait. We checked our luggage to the bellhop while we went to visit the water park and it was left unattended. At the water park one of us got sick and was throwing up; we only received assistance when another guest requested for ice although we asked multiple times already. I am one to give the benefit of the doubt to believe that people make mistakes occasionally. I love the ambiance of this hotel, and my kids love the water park too much for us not to go back. The service is just less then what it should be for the quality of this hotel.

My family and I had a great experience at the Turnberry resort. Upon entering your greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and well designed. There were a few things we needed as we were traveling with my 2 y/o nephew and service was expeditious even at 11pm. Tidal Cove is awesome for both children and adults, very family friendly. Even the food poolside was better than expected so that's always a plus. For the golf enthusiasts, there's a course and driving range with the hotel even sporting a golf shop for all of your needs. All in all, I would highly recommend the Turnberry for families and couples alike.

We loved everything about the JW Turnberry. The moment we walked into the property we were welcomed by the friendliest bellhop. He guided us to our room and gave us a great tour of the amenities on the way. We had one very small concern about our room and they sent housekeeping immediately. Once again, the staff was cordial and nice. The Tidal Wave (water park) was fun. It was a adult only trip and even we enjoyed it. But I will say, the adult only pool with towel service was my favorite part (and their staff was amazing too)! You know it’s a great stay when you don’t want to leave. This resort truly knows how to treat their guests and maintain a beautiful property. I have no doubt we’ll be back again!

Great place for a getaway. Come alone or with the family and you will find relaxation and fun. Only thing that would make it better is if it had Beach access. Other than that, it’s great! There is a water park and 2 golf courses on the grounds. It also boasts 2 sit down restaurants and a spa. I would definitely return here. Valet is $50 per night, but there is a self parking option for $25 per night.

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel for a conference. The property is beautiful, personnel very pleasant, accommodations very comfortable and the food was excellent. Golf on premises, but I was not able to take advantage of it, but the course looked immaculate. Separate pool for adults only and plenty of water activities for kids. Will try to return for a vacation to this property.

We really enjoyed our staycation here. Very welcoming staff. Everyone always said hello. I loved the automatic doors through the property. The spa was okay. My pedicure wasn’t really that great but everyone was nice. The only thing I could complain about is the pool being cold, I’m surprised there wasn’t a heater. Christian at the front desk is an outstanding hospitality professional 5+ stars he definitely deserves a promotion/raise. Thank you Christian!

Hotel has everything you need: Water Park (included with stay): has a kids section with calf level water and mini slides. It is adorable. Has 6 or 7 larger slides for adults and kids over 42" or 48" depending on slide. Lazy river and very very clean. The poolside pizza is great - highly recommend. Restaurants: there are 2 amazing restaurants in the hotel - Bourbon Steak (definitely for dinner or drinks) and Corsair a more casual (but nice casual) restaurant. They are both delicious - at Bourbon wait until you try the fries... Golf course - I don't play golf personally but I hear it is impressive Spa: wonderful spa, all the amenities are here and my masseuse was great. Beauty Salon: I haven't gone but it looked like many locals use it which was a good sign STARBUCKS: a full size Starbucks is here, a regular Starbucks with the full menu. Rooms: nice and clean no comments or complaints Only con: valet here can take a long time so plan accordingly

Love this resort! We held a company event here this week and the service and accommodations were outstanding. Added bonus: you can easily walk to Aventura Mall from the hotel -- fun alternative if golf isn't your thing.

This resort has a lot to offer and the waterpark is certainly a big draw for families. There is a lazy river, hot tub, water slides, kids area, surfing, and pool. Accommodations are nice and clean. Staff is very polite and hospitable. Pricing is a bit steep in all areas and be mindful of the resort fee and added costs. Overall, an enjoyable way to spend a day or two with the family.

I want to start by saying, the customer service at this hotel is beyond anything you can ask for. There’s a VIP Service Rep here by the name of Dylan Rosenberg, his professionalism, care and kindness is something I wish every single hotel in the world had, he goes above and beyond to make every single guest feel like royalty. To be honest I doubt I’d be able to stay in any other hotel in the world if Dylan was not taking care of every single thing we needed from start to finish just to make sure we had a smile on our faces. He literally made our entire trip!! So thankful to have been able to stay at this resort and experience true VIP customer service from someone like Dylan! Forever grateful! Thank you, Ezra Sultan Morris Michael

Great resort. Our room was very specious, bed was ultra comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly. Restaurant food was very good for a hotel restaurant. Prices are high but expected at a hotel. Pro shop has good selection with good brands. Front desk service was superb. Bravo to the team 👏

We did a mobile check in as there was a line out the door. We left our stuff with the bellman and went to the pool for a few hours. We decided to head up to our room because it looked like bad weather was closing in which might close the slides. We went to the lobby and waited in a line for 20 min to check in. We called the front desk to get our stuff but they never gave us a ticket so I had to go down the the room where they store the bags to find our pillows on the floor not near our other belongings. When we got to our room to shower we had one towel for four people. Went out to the balcony so I wasn’t cold in the room while the kids showered to find a nice hairball on one of the chairs. I forgot to mention that in our fridge that the previous guests took out a drink and replaced it with a cup of water so they wouldn’t get charged for what they took. Great catch by housekeeping. Came down here for a night to get away before school started for the kids but will never come back. What a shame.

I can't say enough great things. The adult pool service manager, Luis, and the pool security, Brandon, made a wonderful trip that much more amazing. The gym was the best I have ever seen. I can't wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my family, and it was an experience we will never forget. Beautiful Place!!! This hotel truly has everything you need in one place for a family to have a great time. With amenities ranging from a fantastic waterpark to a variety of dining options, we never had a dull moment and my little gir absolutely loved Tidal Cove. Rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the view was simply beautiful. The hotel's convenient location also provided easy access to nearby attractions, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to any family looking for a perfect getaway.

We loved staying here. The perfect vacay with 2 boys, they LOVED the water park. Note that if your kids aren’t 48 inches high they can’t enjoy most of the slides other than one. We enjoyed it all. We did find a spider in our bath tub, which was unfortunate because that means the cleaning crew didn’t do their job appropriately, but I didn’t give it too much attention because other than that the room was super pleasant and looked beautiful

As a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member my perspective about this location isn't the best. I've stayed here multiple occasions and when I do I rarely feel welcomed. My recent stay wasn't very good. Our room was pleasant but a small fridge in the entrance was an eyesore to say the least. Certain things like robes weren't available unless requested...? The property itself is beautiful, the rooms can use some refreshing though. The buffet breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very polite. I would encourage that the check in customer service and bar staff have more welcoming attitudes towards patrons who pay a lot of money to stay in these resorts. Hopefully if I visit again there will be a better impression left. Best Regards.

Normally, I don't leave negative reviews. But even though it's a well-known resort, the rooms are terribly dirty. We had to take a shower in sandals, the shower floor had mildew, the grout was dirty nasty , when we got here we noticed the toilet had a crust of urine on the rim of the toilet. I was so eager to bring my son, but it was a letdown. My son has severe allergies, and because of the amount of dust in the cupboards, cabinets he felt ill while we were sleeping in the room. I would have thought that after each visitor, they would perform some sort of deep cleaning and sanitizing. This is our first and last time coming

The JW Marriott Turnberry is a true embodiment of luxury and comfort. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by an attentive and professional staff. The rooms are elegantly furnished, spacious, and extremely comfortable, offering breathtaking views. The variety of on-site dining options is impressive, each providing a unique gastronomic experience. The resort also boasts top-notch amenities, including a fabulous spa and a well-maintained golf course. The attention to detail, the opulence, and the seamless service all contribute to a truly 5-star experience. The JW Marriott Turnberry is the epitome of luxury hospitality.

Extremely disappointed in my stay here. Came here for vacation and the service was terrible. Slow, not enough staff. I was asked several times a day at the valet if I was checking out or had checked out — not a “welcome back” or anything like that. Calling down to the valet for the car still meant a 10-20 minute wait for the car. Housekeeping didn’t come to my room at all for two days and then only came when I complained. When I requested new towels, no one came. Buffet breakfast is terribly overpriced, as is all of the food. Service at Tidal Cove is incredibly slow, especially for drinks. The food isn’t bad though. The size of the rooms is pretty good but doesn’t make up for all of the other negatives. Everything is a hassle here. The exact opposite of relaxing. It’s also 30-60 minutes to Miami.

Very nice location. Across from a very nice mall and a supermarket. Perfectly set apart from Miami with just enough downtime and quiet for a city getaway. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The kids loved the muffins at breakfast service for members and the cookies were awesome! Rooms were super best and very comfortable. My stay was enjoyable. But do now that the hotel was undergoing some construction at the time and it did take away from the aesthetic of our stay this visit.

We stayed at the Turnberry hotel and Our experience at Tidal Cove was fantastic!!! Mostly thanks to Ricardo as our pool attendant. We were there for 3 days and the 2 days we sat in his section we were treated like VIP!! He brought us ice, he moved our lounge chairs every 2 hours to always ensure we were in the shade. Endless ketchup for the kids. You name it, he thought of it. He made us feel like celebrities!! Kenny was the wait staff and he took great care of us also. When we return we only want to sit in their section. Super accommodating super nice thanks to Ricardo and Kenny.
