Dr. Perez was so compassionate during the process and ALWAYS made me feel comfortable to ask questions. I got the results from my treatment with dr. Perez to reach my goals and also discovered so many other positive benefits of acupuncture to heal chronic pain I was having from being so active and a former teacher. I moved here from Los Angeles where i had a great acupuncture for over 10 years. Dr Perez is just as good or even better. My acupuncture in Los Angeles treated both front and back of my body during a session and Dr Perez is one of the few that does that as well. He doesn't rush you and will spend as much time with you as you need. His office also takes my insurance and Shannon his office manager is amazing at getting me reimbursed. I always feel better and more relaxed when i leave.

From the reception to the actual acupuncture, they are very caring and professional. I have been going to Rafael’s for a few weeks now and I can say he does an excellent job listening to whatever you might be going through and helping you improve and feel better. I was really relieved to obtain a quick appointment at Downtown Miami Acupuncture Center, as I was experiencing debilitating pain in my upper back when I first came in. Dr Perez’s work on me was very impressive. After only 2 sessions, not only was my upper back no longer hurting, also ongoing tension, which I had become used to and had been bothering me for years in my neck, shoulder and arm, started melting away. After another 2 successful sessions, I am feeling amazing and I am able to safely exercise again. This clinic is wonderful! The team is helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable, on time, not rushed... and Shannon (the Patient Care Coordinator) is so welcoming! I got immediate relief after seeing Dr. Rafael Perez for back and sciatica pain. We put together a personalized plan that fit my specific needs. After a few sessions I felt better than ever. I have never experienced such a dramatically wonderful improvement in such little time than I did coming here. I came in with a neck sprain, unbearable back and shoulder pain, and difficulty moving my neck at all. After just one session, I felt like dancing out of there! The best acupuncture ever! I’ve seen multiple acupuncturists over 10+ years, in different states, and for different reasons (currently for pain relief) and no one compares to Dr. Rafael. He is attentive and thoughtful in his care- and really works towards accomplishing your individual goals with a game plan. The office is lovely, relaxing and welcoming, everything runs so smoothly. I’m very active in the gym and constantly recommending others who are also looking to optimize their health too check them out. I couldn’t recommend this practice more!

This clinic is AMAZING! Literally changed my entire health and wellness trajectory. Drs. Rafael and Lisette, and Shannon, are all are truly experts in what they do, but just as important, they are always attentive and easygoing - and make the entire experience totally worthwhile and beneficial. I'll never forget when I started going, Dr. Rafael told me that his goal was to get me feeling better as quickly as possible such that I don't need to come back (aka, the clinic truly cares about its patients' wellbeing). Well I had such a positive experience early that I've now been coming in for a couple years, both at times where I had more acute needs and when I've had less critical needs/coming in for general wellness and relaxation - and no matter what, I get the same high level of care from the clinic. Best acupuncture care and patient experience I’ve ever had. I realized substantial improvements where other modalities didn’t work. Dr. Perez and Shannon the Care Coordinator strive for great care and a great experience and they are crushing it — each visit was friendly, professional and effective for me and I’ll definitely be returning in the future as needed.

Amazing acupuncture work with immediate results - 1st session and back pain was almost non-existent. I have had acupuncture for lower back pain in my life several times and only with Dr. Rafael did the relief begin after the very first session. 5 more sessions later and I had "graduated" to full mobility with zero discomfort - back to normal. Having had prior experience with acupuncture, I was prepared for the 30 something needles in every session. Dr. Rafael will work with your comfort level on needles if you require fewer needles, but the more the faster the healing I think. My insurance covered most of the cost approx 70%.

As a medical professional, I wasn’t sure what to expect trying acupuncture. However, after many months without success to improve pain, mobility, strength with my knee after ACL surgery, someone recommended acupuncture to me. I came in nervous, but Doctor Rafael eased me with his knowledge, patience, and calm/friendly demeanor. I immediately noticed a difference after one treatment and was able to reduce my pain significantly. Doctor Rafael and Doctor Lisette are both very patient and skilled in treating patients with different styles/modalities. I had improvement with each one. I've been coming to Downtown Miami Acupuncture for a month now, and am so pleased with my experience there. I've seen both Dr. Lisette and Dr. Rafael.
