Over crowded rooms with over 10 guest in a very small room with 5 bunks. When laying on bed,either someone's feet or head was less then 2 feet away. Ten guest and about ten other reasons why the bedding situations were extremely poor. I've seen better in 3rd world countries. Horrible check-in experience, prices started to change and was told to cancel my booking. Guest checking in after me was told to cancel aswell and then ended up paying 40% more than original booked price. New front desk person should be considered as well, unproductive,as to check in process felt like dealing with a sloth in super slow speed.

Hostel was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a great sleep. The AC was perfect. I had a flight canceled and just needed a place to stay for one night but I would have happily stayed longer.

I had a wonderful stay here at the Sheridan Guesthouse. The staff was very friendly. My sleep area and bed were very comfortable. I stayed for 2 weeks at an unbeatable rate. It really had a great community vibe where people would cook with each other and make new friends. I know If I am ever in the area again I won't hesitate.

Cheap Very comfortable and reasonable rates. Nice space to lounge. And adorable kitty cats roaming the area. The staff was kind of rude checking out time. I would be miserable if I work there but I didn’t let it effort my stay. Make sure you ask for fresh sheets I stayed here. I didn’t change the under sheets. Make sure you have mosquito spray in the lounge area they attacked you like crazy.

I had a bad experience . if you wanna be in a place where managers are walking in all night in the rooms, slamming doors confronting you dirty bathrooms no privacy AC doesn’t work. Bed bugs and no kitchen. no fans in the patio come to this place if they know that you live there because you necessary, they will treat you completely different.

Very nice. The rooms are a little tight but the lovely grounds more than makes up for the right quarters. Rooms and grounds are clean, tidy and well organized. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. And the ocean is a quick five minute drive away. More details coming soon. On day one of a three 🕒🕒 night stay.

Advertised 6 bed dorm yet placed me in a room with 15 beds. Sure separated by a wall but still same room, one bathroom for the 15 people in that room. Curfew of 11:00 enforced by some rent a cop who lives here. Owner will talk to you at check in making the check in process longer and try to upgrade you to spend more money. The smell of weed throughout the courtyard is disgusting. Everything is an up charge. Parking extra, bottom bunk extra, one night extension extra. Also they make you pay to use their lock. Not like a deposit that you get back when you return the lock, no. Just pay to use a lock whether you use it or not. In the end you'll end up paying the same as you will at a lower end motel. Stay away. It's bait and switch. Look at the reviews. Look at the responses from ownership to the negative reviews. Anyone who says something negative was apparently a problem at this place? I don't think so. Stay Away.

Someone didn't wash and bleach my pillow and pillow case. It smells of deep sweat. My blanket smells terrible too like armpits. I'm not asking hour Holiday Inn cleanliness, but you guys *NEED* to start using a quality detergent like Tide for everything, and bleaching pillows and pillow cases. I feel so disgusting right now. It's 1am and I can't sleep because of the smell. I feel like I'm in a train car in India on a hot summer day...

I’ve been here for two years now off and and on and the experience has not changed. Ariana helped me this time around and she was absolutely delight. She supported in a way that went above and beyond for me. Love it

Business does provide good service. I was very impressed with the set up that they have and amenities, I recommended. It is what is expected.

I visited FLL with a friend and they assumed that we were a couple and placed us in different rooms. Like what the...??? They increased the price per night per person because they said that most of the hotels were full for the night even with a reservation in hand. Inside, the facilities are OK. The chek-in tooks us like 15 mins each, very slow service and they charge you $6 more per night of you have a car and need a parking space. Not the best hostel I have been in the US to be honest .

This is a very nice place and it's surrounded by different stores but the people they allow to stay there makes it not so clean. I would give this place 5 stars but I have experienced getting ate up by bed bugs on two different occasions staying there, you guys should really consider buying new mattresses and buying the plastic bed protectors instead of the ones made out of fabric.

Great service with a great rate! The room is cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at along the Southern Atlantic Coast. If your a traveler and need a night or 2 or 3 look no further then this little place. Bed is beyond comfortable! Excellent shower with the perfect amount of pressure. Everything about this little place is perfect! All the guests are extremely nice! Absolutely would give it 6 stars if I could!!

Just robbery. They know its your only option to stay in fort lauderdale without spending $200 so they charge you through the roof just for one bed and the worst service Ive ever received. The staff treat you like a nuisance. No handsoap at any of the sinks, yuck! Except for the one eastern European lady who checked me in at night, she was nice.

Stopped on a business trip once. It reminded me of a trip to Japan. There is a very developed system of lodging for the night. Cheap price and good quality. I advise everyone to choose places to sleep right here. I want to wish, on my behalf, the development of your business and also always remain as cool. I am very glad that new areas of hotel business are developing in our country.

Booked it at last moment for the weekend and is pretty much satisfied with service received from this place. Very well maintained , organized and good value for bucks...

The wait time at check-in can be a be a bit much due to there only being 1 person at the front desk, and only 1 person is allowed in at a time to check in... They have 2 facilities. 1 for shared rooms and another directly across the street for fully furnished rooms... Most of there business is for the shared rooms... There can be up to 8 people in a small room at any given time. There is a curtain around each bed that gives you a sense of privacy but keep in mind it is a shared room... Rooms are co-ed... No special treatment for female guests. For the most part, my stay has been pleasant... Better than I expected... Rooms have a microwave, an iron and ironing board, 1 bathroom inside room with 2 bathrooms outside in courtyard, and 2 mini fridges... you'll get your own locker with lock and code for minimal storage... Weekly price is $235/week... Great deal if you ask me...

I was surprised I had a decent time. People in the rooms did not bother me. I don't even think I saw their faces they all kept distance and was quiet. Would consider going back. The male front desk clerk was helpful.

Good place to stay

The WiFi is super fast, the areas were all clean and beautiful, I really appreciate the outdoor workspace. All of the guests and workers were friendly and I could easily walk to everywhere I needed.

If your looking for a quality at the cheapest rates then Sheridan hostel is the place to go. I was quite comfortable and nobody bothers you here. They are all a friendly staff and will help you anyway they can. It’s right by the beach and other places to have a great time with your family. 10 out of 10 recommended

Clean peaceful laid back atmosphere. Clean and clear lifestyles going on. no drinking, no 420, there is two smoking areas ,no riff raff, no drama I would come here again, they charge Fri,sat,sun. Safe for women, security lives here, mixed dorm, room for private phone calls in sitting areas. Pleasant yard set up. Laundry could be better, broke down dryer.

Well, the grounds are absolutely Beautiful!!!!! However, some of the staff are rude, their weekday and weekend prices would go from 37.00 per night to 100.00 so be sure to do a weekly rate and not daily rate, they will screw you!!! Then you have a room full of bunk beds mixed with men and women which the men were very respectful but a few of the women guests were absolutely terrible!! Take the good with the bad. It's not that bad if you aren't a Barbie Doll and need space, if so, get a hotel room.

I like how the GM can respond to my review and tell me that my review isn't legitimate because I didn't stay (due to their lack of managment), but cant respond to any of my emails. Nowhere on your website or confirmation does it have your office hours! I contacted your office about the hours 3 months before my booking. You have zero concern for peoples safety. Leaving them stranded in the middle of the night in a foreign place! Shame on you!

lousy service, we had to rent the room for more than 15 days for my son, one day a bag with his clothes was lost and they never gave a reason, another day a person with whom he shared a room took his computer and was going to steal it, luckily he realized it, he managed to notify and they checked the suitcases and they found him, but the pearl was one day that he went to work and left his things stored in the "loker" where everything is supposed to be safe and the only ones who have the key are the from the hotel and the cleaning people, when he came back from work he realized that they took his Nintendo out of the locker and he went to the managers and the answer was we don't know anything, he called the police because it was the third time they took his things and He never had an answer, they didn't talk to the cleaning staff, he just got lost and that's it, the security is lousy even though they have a thousand cameras precisely for the room where he was, they didn't have any fences, because they called the police and made the claim of not the robbery They wanted to rent again.

Good location minutes walk from anything you may need. Nightlife a big plus at just 5 minute trip as well down Hollywood Blvd

I’ve been staying here for over two weeks now. Must say it has been a wonderful stay. The front desk attendants is very respectful and understanding and the rooms are clean. Very affordable and is very close to the beach which I like personally.

I loved my stay. the place is beautiful, there’s a lot of nature, tress, animals around it’s extremely beautiful, specially for the price. the staff were also super kind & helpful! will be coming back.

Zack are a excellent host, he are professional, gently and friendly! 5 stars for service at entrance hall and outside, but the bedroom and bathroom are so old and duty inside, no way to cook at kitchen and im not felt well to sleep

I've stayed in many hostels throughout the years and this is my favorite. Diana in the front was incredibly helpful and informative. She made me feel at home. Close to the beach at a great price. Lockers, shower, kitchenette, location and a very relaxing garden where I spent a lot of time sunning, reading and napping.

The sherridan hostel is a great place to stay if you are just visiting South FL or a resident. The staff here are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms and facilities are cleaned thoroughly daily . The prices are also great for being so close to the beach and downtown hollywood , the property is lush and filled with beautiful plants , flowers and trees . I have stayed here many times and I enjoy my experience each time .

The best hostel i’ve stayed at yet. the atmosphere is probably my favorite part. you can easily achieve the other categories, but not the atmosphere. attracts the greatest people and even if you just want to sit and read, there’s a place to do that amidst all the fun to be had. everything is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and no complaints on the location. a great hostel!

I've been to numerous hostels in the not so distant past. And my past experiences have been downright dreadfully awful. And the hostels that I've stayed in the past were in residential houses. And the set ups per room were just not pleasant. But that was the past and today is the present. And speaking of the present... I felt that having my stay at the Sheridan Hostel was a PRESENT for me. As I stated... my past stays at hostels were horrible. But this time around at this hostel will never be forgotten! And when I say this next statement... what I'm about to say is highly rare coming from someone who isn't too picky and has sorta high standards. Sheridan hostel is the TRUE example of a HOSTEL. Whoever the owner of this establishment truly thought out how to CORRECTLY build/remodel/construct a hostel. When I say that this place was carefully thought out.. READ CAREFULLY... THIS PLACE WAS REALLY THOUGHT OUT for ANY guest needing a short or long term stay. Where ever your assigned in a unit, you'll have your own PERSONAL place of rest WITH PRIVACY CURTAIN! SOFT AND CLEAN sheets as well as pillow case, towel and small towel conveniently stored away in an INCLUDED locker with NUMERICAL LOCK to store your personal belongings! There are numerous units and each unit has its own personal bathroom with standing shower as well as two more additional full bathrooms outside within the compound. And speaking about the outside compound... your welcomed to two propane grills! (But make sure you clean up afterwards!) There are also mini areas to enjoy the Florida sun with gazebos and designated areas for smokers where the staff WILL KINDLY remind you of the two areas you're free to smoke at. Now that we're on the subject of staff... although they are kind and HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL.. the staff at this hostel KEEP THE PEACE AND DO NOT PUT UP WITH THOSE THAT ARE OF DRAMA. Like any REAL PROFESSIONAL place of business which they do... they also have great hospitality on top of that. Head office will be very detailed on your first visit and when it comes to the lovely Miss Diana or Mr Ben to the sweetest most professional Ariyanna... all I can say is that they are more than wonderful! I can truly say that the entire office and daily staff ARE THE FACE of the Sheridan Hostel of Dania Beach! Any issues... KINDLY reach out to the staff and they WILL ensure ANY issues will be professionally handled. Their daily cleaning staff know EXACTLY how to prep any bed or any restroom and when you see them hard at work... THANK THEM FOR THIER HARD WORK in maintaining a CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE place to rest. Great place I come in town for work often. I’m a hostel traveler. Apple in Philly etc. best hostel in area hands down especially the receptionist Arianna. Way better than the ones in Miami a lot more relaxed and hostel feel.

I have been in a lot of hostels , but this one is the best. When I came there was at the front desk Ben . The best customer service. Cozy outdoor. Comfortable beds. Prices are reasonable.

The people at the front desk helped me out immensely. I came in once they were already closed due to flight delays but they still checked me in and printed my boarding passes for my flight the next day. They were so helpful and friendly giving me directions to everything i needed. The outside seating is beautiful and a perfect place to chill and hang out. 5/5 would recommend.
