Stay away from this hotel!! We paid $280 for the following -The carpets stank of urine. -There was a cockroach in the bathroom. -The A.C could be on all night on the highest, and it would still be extremely humid. -The front desk lady was very rude and impatient. She didn't want to wait even 2 seconds for us to look at our room number. Instead she yelled at us. (other staff was nice) -The whole hotel stank of weed 24/7 -The bathroom floor is sticky as hell. I lived in a motel 6 for 3 weeks with no fridge or microwave, and it was better than this hotel. Update: Later that night, there were 3 more cockroaches in the room. Found out they're attracted to the smell of urine. * We called the front desk and asked if they could move us to another room, but there supposedly weren't any rooms available.. We asked if they have any bug spray that we could keep overnight,, they said yes and that they would bring it to our room, but they never came. * The next morning we asked for a refund on the last night, but they wouldn't allow it unless we checked out the night before... even though there were no other rooms available. Not really sure where they expected us to go..

I just checked out a few days ago. Stayed 3 nights. Great spot. Clean rooms. Yes, the building is a bit dated but more than worth the price for a comfortable stay. Easy check in, easy check out and deposit return. Close to the train station and nice walking park. 5-10 min walk to McDonald's, Burger King, subway and Target. Would stay again.

Every 1 star reviews were TRUE, read all them and move on👍🏼 (Although 1 star is given to the nice ladies at the front desk, all the staff on Oct 7-8th were sweet and lovely. That’s all.) Long story short… Family and I were staying at this motel for a night before getting on a Caribbean cruise trip🚢 This place totally turned my impression of Miami UPSIDE DOWN😅 Thought we can tolerate anything and had lower our expectations before checked in… but please traveller friends, saving 100-150 bucks was NOT worth it! Add a little bit more money. Find yourself a nice hotel in downtown Miami and have a good time🙌🏼

Overall my family had a great experience at Hollywood Gateway Inn. The Hotel/room was very clean and we loved having a patio. This outdoor space in conjunction with the pool pleased my children. The housekeeping staff and maintenance were pleasant plus quick to resolve any issue. However I didn’t give the highest rating due to the unwelcoming energy of primary morning front desk staff.

The worst hotel of my life time. The room was damp and had bad smell. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. We booked for two queen bed but the beds were full size which was smaller than queen bed. Also beds were very uncomfortable. It’s a waste of time and money. Breakfast was included with the room but they served few items which cannot be a breakfast item. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I wouldn’t even give this place a one star! Very dirty. Rooms and hallway smelt like smoke. Table had burn holes in it. Sticky residue in the drawers. Very sketchy at night. We left. Did not feel safe at all! Horrible! Pictures are very deceiving.

Great hidden gem of a hotel in Hollywood ideally situated right off the I-95 & Hollywood exit. I received exceptional service from both Lisa at the front desk, and Jen, the property manager. Both are the epitome of professionalism and at each stay here, they make every attempt to insure my visit is pleasant!

Driving around looking for motels is not easy. Your receptionist Shenelle made my experience a lot easier. She was professional and provided me with the best service I can receive with a smile. Because of her I will be returning and will recommend friends and family to your Motel. Thank you very much.

Construction crew working during day and doing great work. Clean room and new linens. Much better than other reviews that I noticed. Only there 2 days, so limited time at the motel. Free breakfast was basic, but good. Plenty of food options in walking distant. Very friendly staff.

The room I stayed in had bugs. Initially we thought it was sand in the bathroom floor, so we just wiped it up with a towel and threw the towel in the corner. Next thing we see in the morning is this “sand” was back. Turns out it was bugs. It was $150 for this room! Unreal for how disgusting it was. They refunded us only $50 stating that we “decided to stay in the room” so that was all they could refund. Gross! Do not stay here. Also not a safe neighborhood. There was someone sleeping in their car when we pulled up to check in. Sinks didn’t drain either, probably clogged pipes.

Thru all my life, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. 1 star is for the girls on the front desk who were nice, everything else gets nothing. Pictures online are NOT what it actually is. During our stay, it rain for 10mins, water was coming in thru the ceiling heavily, the telephone was missing half of the buttons. Bath tub has heavy rust marks from old bath mats, kinda scary to step in it. Sliding door to porch was stuck, could not be opened. It only had 1 mirror in the bathroom, no safe to lock anything if value. If I only knew, I would’ve spent $150 extra to stay somewhere else.

This is a basic hotel. Nice room, new TV (so new i had to program the remote), and very pleasant staff. We were early to check in but they held our luggage in locked office until we returned after catching a bite at the IHOP, just a couple blocks away. We sat by the pool, which was clean. The hallways smelled fresh, no lingering smoke. I would stay there again.

Consistency is one of your biggest strengths and Ms Michelle made me feel confortable and confident to count on this hotel team. So, Michele, keep working hard the way you did. And i cannot stop saying that my wife and me recognizing your value. We have a good time spending into this hotel in November 2021 since the check-in until the checkout.

Was there for a few months and House keeping barely cleaned my room, I had to put in a complaint, they only came to my room when I was at work to look through my trash!!! Yes you read it right, looking for a reason to kick me out & i didn't bother anyone. Worst experience I ever had with any hotel. So ghetto and outdated. Front desk has the worst attitude ever.

I wish I could give this inn 0 stars. The “clean” sheets they put on the bed are always dirty. There’s roaches. Big ones and lil ones and other different bugs. No elevator. No washer dryer on site. I stayed her many times and just put up with the poorly kept decrepit looking inn because it was so cheap. But if you don’t mind dog smell in the hallways and weed and smoke smell in every single hallways you walk through than give them a chance lol maybe you’ll have better luck. Pets are welcome here cuz I hear dogs barking all the time. Also they stole my air fryer. So be careful

Only stay here if saving $20 means you eat or not. The quality of this hotel is very poor and dated. I would not stay here again. For 20 more dollars a Motel 6 would have been a much finer option. I felt unsafe here even though it is an actual hotel. Weird atmosphere and the first worker I dealt with was horrible. All others were at least somewhat pleasant. Stayed for 3 nights.

The only thing pleasant about this place were the staff checking us in and checking out. I hate to give bad reviews but our room and shower were dirty, corridors stunk of cigarettes and who knows what else, a lot of noise and shouting going on all night. Wouldn't stay there again.

Not a bad place to stay it is a little run down staff was friendly and the pool was cold during our stay it would have been nice to use .breakfast was only from 7 to 9 as most places are to 10 but breakfast was held in the office/lobby so to be expected to be cleaned up early

Absolutely horrendous! Hands down the worst place I have ever stayed! For starters beds are very uncomfortable! Could not even get half a night's sleep it was so bad! Shower had mold in it, water did not get hot, and only worked at half capacity! Tub felt like you were going to fall through it. Stains on the sheets. Paint peeling. I could go on and on. Do not recommend for anyone at all! Wish we could get our money back!!!

The place is very unsafe! our catalytic converter was stolen and other parts such as oxygen and its sensor were damaged. The room is very smelly and the overall experienced was horrible! now we are stuck on the road because of our broken car 😭 I would never recommend this hotel. We were traumatized by the experienced and would definitely not come back because of it!!!

Ask for a $150 in a deposit took 75 and refuse to tell me why. Housekeeping manager was very disrespectful. the bed would broken And lean to one side. The room had a weird Smell. Is the slider door didn't open. Is very loud highway all the time. Definitely wouldn't come back

Me and my friend going to the cruise leaving Miami. So we decided to spend couple of days in the city. We are on the budget. It’s why we choose that Motel. It wasn’t the cheapest. But had good reviews and photos. Please don’t believe it. Horrible Horrible place. Dirty, outdated, stinky. If you not pot smoker please don’t go there. People smoking on the balcony’s. And it’s allowed. I couldn’t sleep. Someone was smoking marejuanna next balcony all nights. Nightmare. And we stayed in several cheap hotels on the way. But not like that. When I complained about it manager told me “ITS FLORIDA! What do you want”

The rooms are nice and comfy for the price the hotel is a little outdated as far as decor and is definitely not a 5 star hotel but it's good for a nice rest. If you're expecting a four seasons for a motel 6 price you are definitely going to be disappointed all considered it's a great value

I wish I could give a 0 🌟 rating. This hotel is an absolute dump. The price is outrageous for how the place looked, very rundown and in need of painting. The check-in agent was very unprofessional, ill- mannered and uncouth. The reservation was made through priceline. The name had to be spelled at least 5 times for the reservation agent (just 5 letters for each name) and there was still an error with the spelling. So at check-in the agent said the name on the ID was different than that on the reservation so she couldn't honor it. No attempt was made to redo the transaction or try to correct the error. When we were leaving she stated "good luck getting back your money" in a mean and sarcastic manner. I consider it a blessing. Who knows what nastiness was lurking in the room.

They will take your money and never put it back into your account. The “do not disturb sign” they obviously can’t read. Everything was nice but as soon as I started talking to them I was placed on hold (which is fine) and then totally forgotten about. Good luck trying to get your deposit back even if nothing wrong. Managers name is Mitchell and she did absolutely nothing to try and help me

Not even one star but had to click on one to submit this review!! Terrible terrible customer service. We fully paid for the room and got denied when we checked in! We did what they told us to do by calling the third party to change the name from Will to William which allow us to check in but now, we couldn't pay the deposit because they don't accept credit card that doesn't match with the ID. This was an Air Miles reservation and they were useless to resolve the problem. We almost had to involve the police. It was definitely a shocking experience given that with my 25 years of travelling, I have never been denied into any hotels especially with a fully paid hotel reservation. SO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!

I am giving 5 star because compare to the price and service I am satisfied. The location is not good and it is hard to find the hotel. Rooms are clean but the building is old. Compare to Miami hotel price, it is good place for $70.

Filthy, filthy hotel. Mold on bathroom walls and around base of tub. Toilet whistled when it was flushed. Smelled like marijuana smoke. Very dated. Walls were poorly patched. Ceiling light on the wall. When checking out we heard another guest complaining about seeing a cockroach in his room. I would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy. Disgusting. Do not book here

Sometimes all you need is the rest and you choose one closer to you. Look like I’m lucky compared all reviews about bad smell. My room smell alright. Also there’s nice desk light:), look like clean bedclothes. But much rust around bath door and different other places, some close hole in ceiling, don’t think I can use towels here either, you can meet some small bug can fly too. But price is cheap that’s why you are here:) so enjoy your rest and there’s no much information i can provide at this time. I just practice my English grammar that’s why I text so many but I’m glad if you find this review helpful

At first everything was great. We got into the room and it looked okay. But when I went to use the bathroom to change to go to the pool, the toilet was broken and there were bugs on the floor. When I went to the pool with my sister and parents, a coconut almost fell on my head because a coconut tree was hovering over the pool. WHAT A BAD PLACE TO PUT A DAMN TREE!!! When we got back into our room, it was freezing cold and the ac was set at 75 degrees. At 9PM when I went to turn off the TV, it wouldn't turn off so I had to sleep with the TV on. When I woke up in the middle of the night at like 5AM, there was a creepy guy staring at us from the back sliding door. Thankfully he couldn't get in so I was relieved. At 8:30am after I woken up, I ask my dad if he could take me to breakfast because they were serving breakfast until 9am but it was 8:45am when we asked where breakfast was at the staff said that breakfast was closed when it wasn't 9am yet. I was so mad and my sister and parents and I don't want to stay at this hotel again. Get better service and please do what you guys say your gonna do.
