Great location for the price, however the property is nothing like the pictures. It was super trashy and unwelcoming. Super challenging to even find the office for check in, and even when we did, it was super small, outdated, and the staff weren’t friendly at all. None of them speak English well. When we arrived to our room we were greeted with a broken door lock. You’re given a code to gain entry into your room, but you can open the door without putting the code in at all. The view from our room was the alleyway that was filled with garbage and their old furniture. The canvas in our room was hanging off of the wall because it had a missing nail. The room was advertised to have a pullout couch but the room was so small and the table was in the way that it was impossible to pull the couch out, or even rearrange the furniture to do so. The bedside tables connected to the wall were also tilted and falling off of the wall. There was no hot water. Not to mention we were charged twice. Great option for a last resort stay on the beach, but would not go back.

I recently endured a three-night stay at the Neptune Hotel, which unfortunately ranks among the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had. The premises' cleanliness was lacking, creating a sickening atmosphere, but what truly tarnished our experience was the abysmal service, especially from a staff member named Lisa Gonzalez at the reception. From the onset, Lisa displayed an alarming lack of professionalism and courtesy. When I approached her about being assigned the wrong room - a room that didn't match our booking, her response was not only dismissive but also condescending. Instead of showing empathy or attempting to find a resolution, she rudely informed me that there was nothing to be done. And as if to emphasize her lack of concern, she brazenly suggested I could write a bad review, even going so far as to provide her name, almost as a challenge. Well, Lisa, here's that review. Such flagrant disregard for guest satisfaction is unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. Future guests deserve to be forewarned about the potential treatment they might receive. I strongly advise others to think twice before considering a stay at this establishment.

Horrible experience! I am not one to write reviews but this us a must. Terrible service, extremely rude front desk. No window curtain in the bathroom and everyone was able to see you from the rooms across. The shower had a curtain that only covers to the middle of the wall so everything gets wet, there is a ceramic to go inside the shower and once it's wet it's extremely slippery. I fell and twisted my ankle and hit my head, very dangerous. We finally fell asleep and at around 3am a fight in the room next to us woke me up, screaming, slamming doors and I was terrified hoping they didn't have any guns. It was the most terrible experience ever and although it is across from the ocean.. you SHOULD RUN from this place. It is dirty, there are ants, it's simply disgusting! And again don't even bother telling the front desk, the lady and the gentleman there are rude and don't even bother helping. They simply say that's just the way it is. And if you ask for a supervisor, they give you a number to call, once you call, guess who answers?? The same people at the front desk so there is no way for you to complaint or do something about it. It was very frustrating and the most indignant time ever. RUN!

Absolute horrible experience your first encounter at the front desk is Maria. I did not get what I paid for. I was put in a hotel that was under what I paid for. I took pictures of the cockroaches in the room I would appreciate if someone from management call me back. Hbh hotels does not have a BBB rating and they have several complaints

We haven’t even stayed at the hotel. We are from Florida and are just going to visit family. However, it is storm season, there is a tropical storm hitting which won’t allow us to travel with small kids. The hotel has a zero cancellation policy even for hurricanes. I literally asked the woman so if a hurricane is hitting you keep peoples money, answer yes no canceling. The point of our trip with again to small children was to be outside with our elderly grandparents and family, not stuck in a tiny room with our kids. The customer service is awful, the third party booking has attempted to ask for exception multiple times, with zero response from the actual hotel. Money over doing the right thing seems to be their policy. If you have anything come up prior to your travel even if it’s out of your control, don’t book here you will be out money. The hotels in Hollywood seem to be traps this is the second year different hotel. First one was filthy, this one whole other problem

Beautiful beach view with a nice patio area during the day. That's probably the only positive thing I could say. At night it's a totally different animal. Lots of sketchy people riding bikes and hanging out on/near the property at night. There was a woman pooping on the side of the hotel last night. The room was clean but in bad shape. The stove didn't work, microwave table was incredibly wobly. The curtains /blinds were broken and would not cover the windows. The bathroom window was missing a blind and anyone who walks by could see you showering and using the bathroom (next to a parking lot). I went in naked and literally made eye contact with someone in the parking lot. Not happy at all and wouldn't stay again.

I checked into the Neptune Hotel on 7/10/22 and checked out on 7/12/22. I was charged a $100.00 deposit fee upon check in. At check out I was told that it would take up to 10 business days for the $100.00 hold on my credit card to come off. However, as of 7/27/22, the charge remained on my credit card. I called the hotel at approximately 10:00 PM to inquire about the $100.00. The front desk agent told me that I was charged the deposit of $100.00 because of dirty linens!! What does that even mean? The agent was going to transfer me to the supervisor, and of course he/she never came to the phone. I'm disputing this charge with my amex. If you decide to stay here, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING VIDEO AND PICTURES UPON LEAVING! Please note, the property also charges a $50 cleaning fee as part of the rental. There are much nicer properties on Hollywood Beach.

I just completed /endured a 2 night stay at the Neptune. The photos on line HIGHLY misrepresent the condition of this property. The rooms are broken down, have missing window treatment, pealing paint, some moldy areas and way outdated and broken furnature. The bed was clean but not comfortable at all. At night there are ALOT of schetchy people hanging around. Upon returning to my room after an evening out we came back to our room door left ajar by the maid service. Just an overall bad experiance and can not recommend this property less. I am in the reavel business and understand fully the challanges facing the industry, but this property is not safe and not what is represented when booking... Psrked in the space that I was told to park in with my (paid for) parking pass and received a $60 ticket.... Oh... by the way, my bill for 2 nights was over $500... lesson learned.

Man these guys are fantastically greedy. Expect to get walloped by a $20 'Hotel fee' on arrival. When I wanted to extend one night the price went up by 250%- not possible to do online they said I would have to check out and in again. Cheap scam tactics. Oh, and good luck finding the office, miles away under a different hotel.

This was the most disappointing experience in all my many years of traveling and staying in hotels. First, consumers need to be aware that HBH is NOT one hotel. It is many hotels. They are small and run down, attracting shady individuals. These hotels are NOT on the beach as they claim, and there is no guaranteed parking, even though they charge you $18 a day for it. There were cockroaches in my room. The only reason I did not ask for another room or hotel is because I didn't think it would be any different than where I was. The room itself was falling apart. The couch felt like it was going to collapse, so we were afraid to sit on it. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were falling off. The refrigerator was leaking. The bathroom needed to be plunged after every use. The bathroom was horrible and extremely small. The toilet was low like a potty chair (I am not exaggerating). If you have claustrophobia, you will hate it. The bathroom is smaller than the ones they have on cruise ships. While the pool "looked" clean, the areas around the pool looked run-down and dirty, so I would not use the pool. The staff who came to the room were nice. The staff in the office were horrible. If I wasn't in the area for a funeral, I would have gone home and cut my losses. Extremely disappointed!!! I don't have this kind of money to throw away. I was supposed to stay at the Flamingo, but I ended up at the Neptune. They have a couple dozen motels, so make sure you know where you are before you end up with an experience like mine!

I don't think I will be staying at any other hotels on Hollywood beach besides Neptune. The view was spectacular. The size of the room was perfect. The cable they had was great too.

Was like staying in the projects. No room service, customer service was beyond horrible. Couldn't get toilet paper, 2 towels for 4 people. Customer service people are rude and not helpful. I'd recommend a hammock on the beach before recommending them to anyone.

Booked for my parents and was an awful experience. Mother is allergic to mold and immediately she reacted to the mold in the room. The photos aren’t at all what the room looks like. Broken furniture, paint chipping everywhere, obvious mold that you will smell upon entering. The area feels unsafe, and the window blinds don’t close to the outside allowing anyone to look into the room. My parents stayed in this room for less than an hour and then left. Owners wouldn’t refund money so my parents had to go through their credit card to get their money back for this room. Will always read reviews in the future. Trust the 1-star reviews folks!

By far the most scariest hotel I’ve booked . First off so many hidden fees . I ended paying $156 in total for a ran through cabin . Upon arrival I noticed to paint falling off and mold leaking throughout the entire building. Once I open the door I immediately felt like I was in a scary movie . Outdated appliances, creepy wood chairs ,mold all in the bathroom and a extremely foul smell. I was so disgusted and refused to touch anything. I checked in 5pm and left at 2am . Didn’t even stay til check out !

This hotel was in a great location right on the board walk. There is very limited parking one spot per place. It was built in 1940 and you could tell the outside showed its age and even that the room was updated the outside door did not feel safe and you could tell it was aged. The rooms and bathroom was small but nicely remodeled.

Not as advertised, horrible customer service, price paid was way to high also not as advertised. Rooms trashy and cramped. They put us in an old pool house. Terrible place to stay . People sleeping in closets around pool. I wouldn't stay here for free in the future.

Surprisingly nice for the price . Yes the office can be a bit busy but I had no other complaints , rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was good 🥰

Would give this place -5 stars if I could, absolutely horrible, booked the Neptune at 2021 Surf Rd, upon check in they assigned me a room at 309 Oklahoma St, with a view of construction equipment, microwave had a half drank dup of coffee in it, food in the sink, burn holes in the sofa, AC unit broken, rusted doorstop, and toilet paper holder, sand all over he floor and bed sheets, marks on the walks and furniture. They charge $20 for parking and a $50 per day cleaning fee but they only clean every three days. Place is gossly misrepresented, pics on the site are nothing like what you get. Avoid this place at all costs.

Outside-- *The outside of the Neptune Hotel honestly SCARES anyone, everything looks rusty and ran down, and honestly just not clean in the slightest, this place looks older than the dinosaurs. The doors are ran down and look like they can be broken into. *pools look mid. Service-- *They gave us the incorrect room at first, and when we asked for this to be corrected (we paid oceanfront and two beds), they gave us the room key to a suite that WASN'T clean. This place is nonrefundable sooooooo..... we went back where they gave us AN ATTITUDE when we asked for the correct room that we PAID for... the woman kept telling us to sit down... *We paid two days worth of housekeeping and they never showed up or contacted us. Inside-- The only pro to this place is the rooms, they are pretty renovated. However the floors are still sorta dirty, the bathrooms aren't properly cleaned and they also smell. Summary-- Only good thing about this place is the location (obv. on the beach) and the inside of the rooms.

This place is a scam, they scream at customers to pay extra $50 or leave even when it's fully paid with fees. I left and asked agoda for a refund. Agoda agreed but later went back on the decision, trying to play games. Stay away from this scam, it's a vacation place no need to deal with poisonous customer service.

Great location, great staff. Everyone will make you feel like at home! I will be happy to come back! Rooma are very clean and tidy, the housekeeping team is going above and beyond to ensure the rooms are spotless.

Very busy office. Expedia gave me the unit address which is different to the reception office. Very crowded. The breakfast was abysmal, same choice for 8 days stay, boiled eggs, the rooms even worse, paid extra for resort services that also had a lot to desire. My rating is 0 star. No hangers, not even the rod to place hangers on, I will never go back to this place. I'm still waiting for my deposit.

The location of the property is perfect as it’s right on the boardwalk. What’s not very clear is the check in desk is not in the same building as the actual hotel rooms. You have to walk to the very end of another street to get to it and it’s extremely confusing. I had called the front desk after wandering around for a bit for help and they were still not very clear or helpful. I luckily ran into another guest who showed me where it was. The staff leaves a lot to be desired. The room itself was clean and upgraded. There was also a $50 resort fee they did not mention during the booking that you have to pay at the front desk that’s non refundable. You can’t beat the location of the property, but it was overall a frustrating experience.

This is the place where i was very comfortable had such a beautiful view every morning. This little hotel doesnt look like much but it is such an awsome location. 10 steps to the sand. literally on the board walk plus an amazing staff. Sweet little breakfast and Maria the booking agent goes above and beyond to help you.

Cheap. Do not expect to see great accommodation. It is better to take something on the second line than pay for "ocean view". Dirty floors, the enormous amount of dust on the walls and appliances. No hot water. No batteries in some remote controls. Trash everywhere on-premises. We spent 30 minutes just looking for the reception when we arrived around 8pm - there were no signs or any information about where to check in.

Great location right on the boardwalkThey upgraded our room because we are promised beach front. We paid an extra 50 dollors a day for towels and cleaning services and received only twice. When we asked the maids, their answered back, don't speak english.

Seeing some bad reviews is confusing. Did we stay at the same place? I thought my suite was great value, other places want double that. My suite was clean, spotless comfortable, and affordable and Yes we had shades on our windows. Outside was a little rough but I did not go on vacation to sit in a courtyard. The location was great. Walked out our door onto the beach, to restaurants, shops all along the beach walk. No need to even get a car because everything was right there on the beach walk. Would definitely stay again and look forward to returning. If I can post pictures of my room I will do so.
