Went here for dinner last night. Vegetarian friendly but not vegan friendly. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. They were busy so it took a while for the waitress to get to the table initially but she was very nice and knowledgeable. All the food was delicious. Bruschetta is fantastic and the beet salad (in the photo) I had was very flavorful. My husband's grouper sandwich was also very good although the fries were unseasoned. Overall good experience.

This was my first time here and It was a lot of us, the waitress did all she could to keep up. We ordered many different dishes. The rainbow trout was a tally delicious, the fries were not. Macaroni and cheese was not that great, the salmon was good, the grilled meatloaf was good with the mashed potatoes, taste Luke homemade, I know it was late but, none of the staff came over go sing my daughter happy birthday. Food was a little pricey

Pretty good neighborhood eatery. Lots of comfort food items. Happy Hours during the week. I had the crab dip and Cajun fettuccine. Both very good.

We’ve been here a couple of times and like the restaurant and atmosphere. Nice and quite place. This time around our waiter Jermari was awesome, the restaurant was busy but he took great care of us, making sure we were satisfied at all times. Keep up the great job Jermari, you are an asset to the restaurant.

Honestly from the atmosphere, to the food, to the service, village tavern is hard to beat on all fronts! My wife and I love their new england clam chowder, the prime rib is always great, and their deserts are scrumptious as well! I would definitely recommend for a nice date night

Ok let me start out by saying that the place is beautifully decorated...very nice on the eyes great Kodak moments. Now I gave the food 2 stars because it was bad 👎. The pictures are great...but...first they had no piña Coladas ( the machine was broken)they had run out 9f the meal I wanted to eat PRIME RIB! I ordered fish and chips...the fish was had no taste! It was not seasoned 🤦‍♀️my mother inlaw had the brick chicken...that was mediocre. My brother inlaw had the pimento 🍔 burger, he said it was bad...my spouse had the butchers cut medium well came to the table almost well done. For the price that we paid we should have had a great and delicious meal. I've eaten way better at Flanagans! That's the last time we'll be eating there. Don't recommend it...spend you money some place else.

Save your money. Food is greasey and cold. Service is not good at all. The managers have to bring bar drinks, condiments etc. The Apps came out cold. Drinks are over poured so you cant tell what your drinking if its a mixed drink. Main course cold and bland. The only thing that came out hot was the Mac and Cheese.

Great experience, nice staff, clean environment. The grouper pasta was excellent. Smaller portions than I expected but it was so good I can't be mad. ( There were no leftovers) The fish tacos were good, and the meatball skillet was good too. I'll be back again to try something else.

Reservation for a family birthday dinner was at 6:45pm but we were early by 15 mins. Was promptly seated. Our main server Eric and Jeff who was serving next table, greeted us and served us bread also checked in with us on food. Overall A+ service. Food arrived fast. The manager Mike greeted us, in between checked in with us and sent us birthday card signed by the staff. Almost forgot to mentioned food is delicious as always. ( forgot to take pictures of the food ) We were truly surprised by the overall experience at this restaurant. We will visit again next time we are in town.

Customer service was great ! The food is good . I order a couple of appetizers, fried calamari , wedge salad, truffle fries, onion soup (very cheese ) everything was good Note :when ordering calamari order the sauce on the side (sauce can be overwhelming). But overall the ambiance is nice and the food is good.

The worst piece of overcooked meat i've ever had. Shoe leather is comparable. My Transaction ID 79301930. First and more than likely the last time I will ever visit. We sat down for Lunch and placed our order. The waitress (Valentina) was very attentive and knowledgable. My family orders their food and I ordered the Filet Medium (Red/ Pink center). She informed us that the restaurant is "scratch built" and the food would take a little bit to come out, but not terribly long. we ordered an appetizer (Caprese salad) and that came out relatively quick. Then we waited, and waited. The waitress kept on checking in and saying the the food should be ready soon. After about 50 minutes, I asked about the food and informed the waitress that we needed to leave soon. They finally bring out he food. I looked at the filet they placed in front of me and I could immediately tell that it was over cooked. I cut into it once and for sure it was solid brown with a very small pink center (About the size of a nickel). I asked for the manager because i was not happy at the fact that I ordered my food at a certain cooking degree and that it took for ever to come out and now I knew there was not time to make a new one. The manager arrives (Ray Garcia - Assistant GM) I explain that the filet is overcooked and is now well done (who the hell would do that to a filet, The whole purpose of ordering a filet is for the softness of the meat.) and he looks and says, "that's what a medium filet is supposed to look like" and offers no apology or any solution. I showed the waitress the cut of meat and she agreed that the filet was overcooked to hell. Needless to say that I had the waitress take back my dish and left without eating. ***** PLEASE RETRAIN RAY GARCIA on how to provide correct customer assistance when dealing with a customer. I have pictures to prove the overcooked term on my filet. I am also going to be providing my review of your establishment and my experience with pictures on Yelp, Google, Tripadvisor, etc..... The food and hospitality industry is all about the experience and the food you provide. One chooses to dine out for the experience and the food. If one of those is off and the customer is not happy and they request to speak to the manager. It is expected that the manager do everything in their power to make it right. RAY GARCIA  failed to do that on 9/11/22 and tarnished your company's image in my eyes and of everyone i speak to. Completely NOT ACCEPTABLE....

Delicious food and a variety of food as well as drinks. The restaurant inside is very nice with a casual feel. From burgers to seafood and steak, there is something for everyone here. Prices are reasonable as well. There is also happy hour. Will be coming back and recommending.

Village Tavern was surprisingly good. Came here based on some reviews and they didn't disappoint. Great restaurant, lots of options. The restaurant is big and has lots of tables and a bar area. Outdoor is usually packed .... well... inside as well. Try to make a reservation when coming here it will be much easier. The menu is big and has tons of delicious meals to pick from. The beet Salad was super fresh and delicious. The hamburger which I think I ordered the American and added an egg was cooked perfectly. Great flavor and the bun was soft yet held the hamburger through the process. Definitely worth coming here. 👌

Village Tavern is a very nice restaurant. We had Mahi-Mahi with green beans and rice, a pimiento cheese BLT with coleslaw and a Godiva chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was tasty except for the coleslaw which was not to my liking. I thought the sandwich could have been on a better bread than the toasted white bread, but it was a huge sandwich with delicious applewood bacon and a great tasting pimiento cheese. They have some of the best coffee I've tasted. With so many restaurants in the area, I probably won't go there again.

Good food on take out order but last trip we dined-in and got a different experience. The food for pick up for my first time was amazingly fast at 15 minutes (several places have told me that they are prioritizing deliveries and pick ups, I understand since most people have switched to take outs since the pandemic). I was amazed how fast and good the take out food was for a regular restaurant. The last visit was different though. My mom and her friend decided to go out to eat so we came to village tavern and try out the rest of the menu. Wait time was 45 minutes but it seemed like less. My mom’s friend was starving so she was a bit aggressive since she wanted to take a table that was waiting for the next party to arrive. When we finally got our table, we had a friendly waiter and we ordered a crab appetizer and some complimentary bread (upon request according to the menu). The bread was extremely hard but warm. My mom’s friend claimed it was stale bread and requested a new batch. She was right, the replacement basket was filled with soft hot bread. Unfortunately when you make the bread “upon request” only, it tends to leave bread waiting under a heat lamp for a while since many people might just expect bread instead of asking for it (not everyone reads the whole menu like me). My mom hated the crab dish because she claimed she tasted cheese, i didn’t taste the cheese but it did taste like a regular tuna salad when i just add mayonnaise to a can of tuna. They garnished it with a lemon wedge which did make it taste much better once we added the lemon juice. They are a craft kitchen so everything is made on site at the moment so when I ordered lemonade I was hoping for the one your mom makes for you in the hot summer days, but my drink tasted like the lemon water you get for a cold remedy. It was bitter and had no sugar added which is ok for a diabetic like me but not for normal public consumption. My mom liked her Cajun cream seafood pasta (she hates cheese or butter so we were happy she had a creamy dish she didn’t complained about all night). My grouper Hemingway was a bit overcooked on the fish and the pasta (I switched fettuccine for the usual angel hair pasta) was a bit underdone with no taste. The sauce was either not mixed well with the dish or they just didn’t strain the water out properly before adding the pasta to it. My mom’s friend said her shrimp risotto is ok. So we had a Goldilocks reaction with all three dishes. One underwhelmed, one ok and one that was loved. Since there were two different experiences with this restaurant, I want to try again with a different dish. The meals were served within 15 minutes and I do believe they are making it all on-site. The staff is helpful in trying to address any issues we had that day. I would however recommend they offer the bread up front when the guests sit down so they don’t have stale bread accumulating under the heat lamp. I would have thought that was the quality of their bread had my mom’s friend not rejected the first batch. It has convenient parking next to the restaurant unlike the other places in this plaza which is always full because they are surrounded by shops, so I encourage people to give it a try.

The brunch here is amazing! My server was great too. The only reason I did not give this location the full 5 stars is because one of their host did not greet me nor say good bye when I was leaving. But I did notice her greeting other races. Didn’t get her name unfortunately but managers should look into that. She was a blonde.

My first time here in my nearly 4 months of living in this area. The food and service was very good. I started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were cooked perfectly! For my main I had shrimp and grits. Everything was cooked very well, I would have liked a slightly more bite with the shrimp. Then I ended the meal with a slice of cheesecake. They offer toppings, but I prefer it plain as it’s meant to be!

My first time at Village Tavern was perfect all thanks to Pia. She was so incredibly sweet and on point with everything. She even surprised my mom and I with a birthday sundae. The food was amazing. The rainbow trout was cooked to perfection, and spring rolls were amazing, accompanied with an amazing miso dressed salad. Roberto (the manager) went above and beyond to make our experience amazing.

Visited Village Tavern for a Father’s day lunch and it was great. Our server, Leonardo, did an amazing job very attentive to our table especially on a busy day like today. The food was great. Definitely would recommend the meatloaf and the bacon jam burger.

I took my boyfriend out for his 50th birthday. We had our party grow from 4 to 11 on a Friday night and they were able to accommodate us with several hours notice. It was the first time anyone in our party ate here. The prime rib, fish tacos and shrimp risotto were super tasty. Kristen was our server she was amazing and very sweet. The manager Michael is such a sweetheart. We were all impressed with the atmosphere: it wasn’t very loud (even though it was busy) we were able to hold conversations across the table without yelling. The Moscow mules are the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend for family dinner or date night. We will be back!

Whether your looking for a quick bite, meetings some friends or looking for a date night spot. They definitely check all the boxes, the bartenders are FAST, friendly and efficient. I had the hot crab dip, the bread, the portions and flavor were all there. My main course was the rainbow trout with mashed potatoes and green beans which didn’t disappoint. Try the smoky old fashion, you won’t regret it

Love coming here for Sunday brunch. The food is always prepared perfectly. This time we had a guest in our group that cannot eat eggs, Kyla our server was very helpful and suggested great options. Highly recommend Village Tavern and if you get Kyla as your server expect great and professional service.

First time going there and it was great. The food was really good. Only thing bad was the wait for the food (20 minutes) but honestly it was worth the wait. Definitely recommend!

Nothing fancy. Just a basic place to get a pretty good meal. I opted to sit out on the covered patio. I came here early enough so that the place wasn't busy yet. I was able to maintain social distancing out there since no one I saw was wearing a mask. I ordered the Angus beef meatloaf, which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. A good meal, though nothing outstanding. It did fill me up. Reasonably priced.

I’ve always wanted to try shrimp and grits at a restaurant and this did not disappoint at all!! Our server was really attentive and made the experience even better. We sat outside which is covered so although it was a hot day it was comfortable! Hope to come back!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Manager passed by and was very friendly. Zucchini pasta with steak tips added, white sauce instead of red. Delicious.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars but I am keeping it at 4 stars because the menu was basic. The service was excellent as well as the drinks but the menu selection didn’t excite me. It had typical items that you can find at any chain restaurant.

Nothing is done great here. It is good all around. Just well executed food at a 25 to 30 dollars per plate.

First time in and I would definitely check it out again. Very clean restaurant and the atmosphere is very chill. I had the spinach dip which had lots of flavor and the consistency was what a spinach dip should be. I ordered the Grouper Hemingway which was a great portion. It is Market Price so It was $31 dollars. Drinks were delicious and they offer daily deals which is always appreciated.

Went here on a busy Friday night. It was 3 of us, we were seated in a timely manner. Jeff was our waiter. Be sure to ask for him, he's an expert there. The food was AWESOME and for a packed Friday night, it came out very quickly.

  • 3/5 John L. 1 year ago on Google
Server was great. Food was ok, BUT silver ware wasn't very clean went through 3 sets to finally get a clean fork. The seats were disgusting was brought to mgr attention, he was apologetic Thou. said they have a cleaning crew and they must have missed that one. If you see picture you can tell it has been missed being cleaned for many months. They should fire the cleaning crew and who is responsible for checking what the cleaning crew does should also be fired. YUCK i hate to see what the kitchen looks like.

I went for happy hour yesterday (4:30pm-6:30pm) to celebrate my friend's birthday and I was thoroughly pleased! I got a rum punch and my friend got a few shots and a glass of wine. We had multiple items from the happy hour menu: firecracker shrimp tacos, ribs with fries, prime rib sandwich with fries, and chips and dip. My only issue was the chips were in too many broken pieces. I will be sure to ask about that next time. We also had the butter cake and ice cream for dessert. I always enjoy coming here.
