We have been here probably 10+ times and will be back. You can't go wrong if you're looking for some great home cooked BBQ and friendly faces! I mean, we've had better BBQ and the prices here are a little high but we have never had a bad experience.

THE PITS Placed our first order here tonight. The only reason I am not giving Scruby's 1 star is because of the abundant amount of fried okra we received. (which served to supplement our dinner and was $11.49 on its own [$8.49 in restaurant]). And the Peanut butter pie was good. The beef brisket dinner we ordered for $24.98 ($18.99 in restaurant) was nothing short of a snack. It literally came with 5 thinly sliced pieces of brisket, almost cold. See photo. The pit lovers pick two dinner, also $24.98 ($19.99 in restaurant), came with two slices of beef brisket and a very small chicken leg and thigh. Not what one would imagine from a PIT lovers pick TWO dinner. The only pit we are loving is the pit of our stomachs being empty. Granted, the prices we paid were clearly higher due to ordering through DoorDash, however receiving 5 thinly sliced pieces of brisket and a piece of toast for $18.99, while dining in, would definitely have me asking for the manager on duty. Send the MOD, STAT. We (and our stomachs) are very disappointed as Scruby's has great reviews and high ratings from various sites. We definitely will not be signing up for their "Pitmaster Club." This place seriously left us in the PITS.

Hate to leave bad reviews, but wow. Probably the driest set of brisket and ribs I’ve had in my life. The stuff tasted like it’s sat out in a warmer since yesterday. Had to douse half of the plate in BBQ sauce so that it didn’t crumble to dust in my mouth. Barely any meat on the shriveled ribs. Green beans straight from a can with zero seasoning. The rest was thrown out. Felt robbed. Wont be back.

The food was super delicious especially the beer ribs!!! Everything came out super fast and made to perfection and the service was impeccable!! Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Great tasting food but… Really small side for me having to pay extra for certain sides now. Prices went up by $2 for everything. I paid $16.99 for catfish and bread?? And then $1.50 each tiny side? Lol

Soo have not been here in 7 years. I don't think I liked my experience or food last time but def happy I came back. Great priced lunch specials. Food was awesome. Delicious. Service was great. Came out quick. Staff was very friendly and nice. Will def come back 100%. If you are looking for a good BBQ spot then give Scrubys a try. Overall very satisfied with my experience. Hit the spot ya know! They even gave me a sweet tea to go!

I love the place it has country vibes. The service was great and super fast. The ribs were really good. The only little problem is the tables are kind of small. There were tables outside probably we will sit outside next time. They also have all you can eat sald buffet.

First time coming here, 2nd for my dad. The buffalo wings (medium) were some of the best we tasted. It reminded me of home cooked ones I had when younger. The brisket was a little dry, but the St.Louis ribs were good and flavorful. We like the original and hot BBQ sauces. Our server was nice to let us take home some. I would like to come here again sometime and order something different.

Excellent meal. Hats off to the pit master or grilled master the ribs are awesome. Will do it again.

Post surgery, I was quite hungry. My husband was smart enough to get me to the nearest place where I could eat. I had the Scruby's Philly with Brisket. It was very tasty, and all of the sides were delicious! My husband had the baby back ribs with beans. The Brisket tasted a little overcooked/dry to me. Next time, I will order without cheese, so it doesn't need to be reheated. The best part of my meal was the Tropicana Punch. It was very refreshing! There is a salad bar for those who wish to enjoy a lighter fare. The bathrooms were clean, and the wait staff was friendly. The atmosphere was ok the closer you were to the bar with different lighting. It looks as if it used to be a Denny's or buffet place judging by the seating arrangement. I will visit again when I can offer another review and try other foods. Until then, keep up the good work!

The brisket looks like it was boiled. It's so tough it doesn't bend when you grab it by the edge. The full rack of ribs is 8 inches long and 3 inches wide, totally shriveled and gamey. Collard greens had zero flavor. Complete rip off. Stood at the take out podium a long time while the server pretended i wasn't there and didn't respond.

Amazing food. In cowboy hat and boots, found myself having dinner with close friends from the islands. Great food. Great attentive staff. Pricing is actually pretty good considering the prices everywhere. Had pics of menu and actual food, I must of eaten them. No where to be found. Anyways, definitely Worth checking it out. Try one of the family meals, there , nor Togo.

Service 5 stars, no complaints there everyone one was very friendly and helpful. I even felt I was not in “Miami/SF”. The place is outdated but clean. The food was ok, I give it 3 stars to the food. The brisket was so dry and it had a weird texture, the ribs were ok also dry. The mac and cheese you could see the oil separation, the Cole slaw was acceptable, and the corn bread normal. We Paid $100 for 2 fountain drinks, 1 app, and 2 entrees plus 2 corn breads. This was an ok restaurant overall, one of those restaurants you are in the area and decide to try it but that is it.

Very disappointed.... I ordered take -out of the rack and a half of baby back ribs dinner @ 32.99. 1st... they charged 34.99... an upcharge for something? The receipt doesn't say... As part of the dinner I asked for a sweet potato and potato wedges. I received.... A mini sweet potato 11 potato wedges (most were 1 bite sized) And... 11 ribs... there's typically 11-13 ribs in a full rack.. I think they forgot 1/3 of my meal... The best part of the dinner was the order of corn nuggets I purchased. @ 9.99. If I had opened it in the restaurant I would have walked out... Sorry.... lost my business. Don't know if it's the same owner, but I'm going to Rob's BBQ (brother of the original owner)....

It has been some time since I went to Scruby’s BBQ. The waitress was happy and friendly. (just as I remembered them.) the place was clean and organized. I had a hankering for some fine finger licking baby back short ribs. Sweet potato and yummy baked beans. Every Monday and Tuesday is the special discount price. Another special was the perfectly soft fried to perfection 2 large pieces of fish!!! Again with two side orders of your choice. I was shown the order for confirmation. Well, I couldn't get home fast enough to settle myself down and enjoy 1/2 of both dinners!!! Yum, yum it was delicious!!! with plenty left over for tomorrow!!!! You should come on down and try it out!!! Tell them Rosemarie sent you👍👍

Met the owner and he was awesome my waitress Brandy was awesome too, then there's a guy that works in there who I swear looks like Abraham Lincoln please, go check him out, I believe he's the cook there

I was here a few weeks back and the ribs had great flavor, but were slightly dry. Could use a tad more sauce cooked on them as well, but that’s just personal preference. Baked potatoe was “loaded” with no sour cream, but also came without butter, so was also dry. Mac N Cheese was phenomenal, as was the waitstaff. Warning for people not from the area: the water here is VERY chlorinated. It made the drinks taste horrible.

I dont usually write reviews for restaurants simply because im not very cultured in my palette lol but i wanted to shoutout the staff here specifically. They are a super sweet group all around! Kimmie is usually our waitress, and of course we love her and gave so much good to say about her, but everyone else is also so kind and attentive. Erika is another sweetheart that i happen to remember the name of haha. I have never ever had even a modicum of poor customer service when I come here with my fiancé, and we've become regulars, so i feel like we have a very good idea of everyone's general behaviour and vibes. Everybody is always smiling and seem happy to be there! They make you feel at home and asking for sauce, refills etc is never an issue, because Kimmie is always on top of it making sure you dont even have to ask! As far as food goes, I usually get the chicken tenders or a burger and both are good values! I do prefer the burger in general, but it's a barbecue place so of course their burgers are better hahaha. 😋 My fiancé typically gets the sliced pork sandwich, and always remarks how tasty it is. The cooks always load up the fries/sides very well and I never feel like I'm overpaying for my meal, which is a rarity these days. Our servers always ask if we want anything to go and ensure we are very happy before we head out. The food is delicious, service beyond excellent, and everything is very reasonably priced, especially during lunch hours throughout the work-week! If you want to try a local barbecue restaurant with great food, amazing hospitality, and small town vibes right here in Broward County, I really recommend Scruby's. According to my fiancé, who has lived here his whole life, it hasn't changed since he was a kid that came here. It has maintained its charm, comfort, and kindness since the 90s! This is not a paid advertisement, btw, haha I just really love this place and think they deserve more recognition and clientele.

The food is really good! They have like 4 bbq sauces, one better than the other. The staff is stunning, kind and friendly. Christine is the best! And all u can eat is coming town soon. The baked beans are great, and everything fresh. For us do not get 5 starts just because the amount of food is not that big as other places for the same or even less price.

Delicious KC Barbecue! And i had the fried okra and the corn . And a sandwich to go. Everything was perfect.

Scrubys is good food. I came with family from Chicago an they enjoyed the menu overall! Wish garlic bread was replaced with CORN bread just a suggestion.

I recently was in a jam and had to cater BBQ for a party kind of last minute. I called Scruby's catering line and had the pleasure of speaking with Michelle! Wow excellent customer service. She helped me come up with the best menu based on their catering list. Scrubys food was amazing, everyone enjoyed it. I had to call her back a few times and she never made me feel like I was bothering her. Michelle and Scruby's saved the day. I will definately be back!

The first time eating at this restaurant, I ordered the St. Louis rib plate lunch special. The mac n cheese was nasty and tasteless. Whoever made the Mac put effortless time into it, the bake beans are delicious except whatever string meat added inside can stay out. The lemonade & tea were good. The ribs are good. Add bbq sauce. Everybody taste buds are different, but I'm definitely a foodie person and know what should taste better than normal. The customer series was good. I mean, i did take out. FYI- it instantly hurt my belly I will never eat at this restaurant again. Good luck with your business and journey Respectfully!!!!!

So disappointed Been coming here for a Very Long Time. New owners for a while now and the place just hasn’t been the same. The food use to be fresh Same day cooked, they had Christian music playing and people cared. The atmosphere was positive and the place smelt clean but seems now they just don’t care. The place isn’t being taken care of. And now they serve reheated food. So disappointing the workers are friendly a bit slow and the manager well she just does not care. I will Never be back and I am sure with the way this place is looking they won’t be open much longer.

My wife and I have eaten at Scruby's several times a month. We've tried to love it like we did in years past, but it is unwelcoming and food and service are unpredictable. From the outside the restaurant appears dark and closed. Hostess is not usually at the door and customers are not acknowledged by other staff. A simple "we'll be right with you" would help make customers feel more welcome. The bar area has bar stools blocking the area near an area that might have been for takeout at one time. It has a hand written sign not to move the stools or to sit there. The seating areas along the back wall are isolated and feel like you are in a cubicle with the "galley/bus area" open to the booths in that area. It appears dirty and unkept. The staff congregates around the booth right outside this area where they eat, chat and seem to store their belongings on the seats/table. The food is unpredictable. The items on the salad bar are not always fresh or refilled and lately has been missing several of the items. Meats (brisket & sliced pork) have been dry and overcooked. Without giving you the sauce options, the waitresses ask "what sauce do you want". Perhaps a friendly reminder of what sauce is available would be helpful. Sides are not always fresh. So sad as this long-time, independently owned restaurant could do better and thrive like it once did.

If you want barbecue in Pembroke Pines or the surrounding areas this is the place to go Yum and more Yum they have everything in the barbecue that you would like they’ve been there for many many years and they know how to do BBQ right from beef ribs baby back‘s just St. Louis style they also have chicken and catfish you won’t be disappointed make sure you give this place a try they have a full liquor bar and some good beers on draft handsome daily specials and they also have delivery services but it’s better to eat inside you won’t pay the exorbitant price

DO NOT ORDER THEIR CATERING!!! I am very disappointed with this company. I placed a catering order which I order the same thing every year for the past 5 years. The catering manager Michelle explained the price did not go up and we agreed on the order. After picking up my order I noticed there was half the amount of brisket I ordered. I called her to find out why and she explain a few months prior they changed their trays from 5 pounds to 3 pounds. I was expecting to get the 5 pounds we agreed to, and they would not make right on their error. Not to mention she lied about there not being a price increase. If you are charging the same price for 3 pounds that's you were for 5 pounds that's a price increase.
