Nice place. Located in a building that also houses for Fort Lauderdale reading center, the Fort Lauderdale library and the art center. Plenty of parking and easy access to the building

This is a place for cisgender and able-bodied queer history. It is not a place for trans, especially transmasculine, nonbinary, and disabled queer history. If you come here and you meet those descriptions, you will be sad. You will leave being reminded that you do not matter, even to your own "community." Do not come unless you want to be reminded that you don't matter.

Ray and I became very involved in Stonewall when we trusted they had the sophistication, vision, and ability to become the home of our historical collection. It wasn’t easy in the beginning creating a vision of becoming a national museum, but the time, attention, and money were were able to give the fledgling museum helped it become on of the most precious cultural gems in the United States. You will be blown away by your visit to both the museum, and to the library and archives facilities. Promise

Stonewall Gallery... Don't bother. My nephew, who is suffering from mental illness and unfortunately had to be hospitalized, made an expensive purchase here. After dealing with my nephew and getting him help I tried to return his purchase. The woman gave me attitude even though I had the receipt and refused to do anything but store credit. I can understand that but it made no since due to the fact that he lives in NY City and will not be back and she refused to give store credit to anyone other than my nephew. In effect stealing the art work. When I said I would just take the art and receipt with me she acted like I was stealing. She took the receipt made a copy and I left. The attitude of this woman was so offensive. I will never shop there and I will encourage everyone I know to avoid this gallery.

This is a great and very special place! They rotate the exhibits and are welcoming to all. They have some great art work and also some stellar in house branding and marketing which extends this places importance through a further reach. #wiltondrive #stonewall

Stonewall National makes every effort to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible. As an organization we firmly believe that every story needs to be told and every person's truth needs to be shared. We have no favorites here, are collection is made up of that which is donated, and all items are welcome. Trans, nonbinary, fluid, leather, disabled, this is your home, you and your archives, books, collections, are welcome. We are wheelchair accessible, we are working diligently to expand and reach parity in our library and archives, so all members of our community are included. If you have a question, or concern, come in and talk to us...consider joining us on a Donuts and Conversation Saturday, the opportunity to be part of our family is always open to anyone and everyone in our community.

I was somewhat reluctant to enter this museum thinking it would be a downer. I am glad I went. What struck me was how relatively recently the GLTBQ community has faced adversity (and still does) and how far we have come for basic (not extra) rights. As a younger person who does not think twice about expressing who I am, you realize that just a few decades ago it was so different and you never can take things for granted. Everyone should visit this museum for that reason.

Small but informative. Great staff and well worth the 30 minutes or less that it will take you to see the exhibits. Know your history, unless you want to be doomed to repeat it.

What a great place. Even though I'm gay myself and I know our queer history, I still got very thoughtful there. I had tears in my eyes. I am a tourist from Germany and I am really happy to have been here. I was only too happy to donate 10 dollars. I will definitely be back on my next vacation in Fort Lauderdale.

Huge archive with a few displays. Top-notch docents! Easy ♿ access. Currently they are working on putting their artefacts online and uploading lectures to Youtube. Suggested donation $5.

Very educational. Took my students here, and we were very impressed with the artistic photography that displayed the gay culture through the 80s and 90s. We learned about LGBTQ history and the struggle of what people had to go through in order to get to where we are today. A very important lesson to instill appreciation for what they currently have, even though we have a long way to go. Definitely a "must see" if you are in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

This gallery/museum was very informative, with much information about LGBTQ+ history, and the woman who was worling there was lovely and helpful. It was a really lovely experience to view their exhibit for the 50th anniversary of Stonewall and see images and flyers from the timeline - and it was also lovely to see the timeline that started before and went well beyond Stonewall - a really nice view of the hiatory of the community through time.

So informative! Mr. O'Hanian was a wealth of information and helped extensively with my research. This is a wonderful place to start learning about the beautiful population of the LGBTQQ community!
