An excellent concise museum, beautifully designed. This is our second exhibit, with the Celia Cruz being the first and will return again...have recommended the museum to various friends.

No pictures from inside. Why you may ask? Because it is not ever open during its "hours of operations ". Not open weekdays or weekends when they are suppose to function. I try called and get a full mailbox. Its almost a front of some sort. Ridiculous! Call first before going.

Was expecting a more diverse exhibit. The entire museum was focused on Celia Cruz. Understand she was influential but have to imagine there were more folks in the Cuban exile community. Even a small permanent exhibit about the overall community would have been nice. Was hoping to get a broader perspective about the diaspora and ended up in a (very nice) niche music hall of fame.

The American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora is a highly recommended place if you are looking for an approach to the Cuba that beats in the US and in the world. You will always find exhibitions of Cuban artists who have contributed to spreading their culture internationally. In addition to that it is an experience to know and understand the two Cubas in many of its aspects. The museum is located in a very convenient place and in a very beautiful building worth admiring.

A must to any tourist that visits the magic city to get the real perspective of the horrors of the communist dictatorship in Cuba and the Cuban diaspora. Cuba must be free.

I absolutely LOVE this museum. It captures the Cuban spirit and you’ll feel the very soul of Cuban culture. I visited when the play, “Las Paredes Oyen” premiered there. It was more than just a play. Life changing and unforgettable experience. The actors were phenomenal. The entire performance was remarkable. They got a standing ovation! This place and the play are both a must see for all Cubans and non-Cubans alike.

They have a great building with room to improve on, but the exhibition was rather small and limited to Celia Cruz. I feel like there could have been more permanent exhibits discussing the diaspora.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful experience: Yesterday, June 26, I had the opportunity to live one of my most beautiful experiences with the Cuban exile in a great concert with Marisella Verena. As a Colombian, I have linked with this community and its cause, because I see very critical moments in Colombian national politics whose peace process was endorsed to Castroism and today we live a delirious moment to stabilize our democracy. My congratulations to the director Marcell Felipe, because his effort has been very fortuitous in his short traginar for the salvation of this beautiful venue, Hispanic pride and wonderful representation of the greatness of the Cuban exile in all its fields (political, economic and cultural) . As a hotelier, and a resident of the Little Havana, I feel a great commitment to our roots and how beautiful it would be to turn it into a tourist attraction for our visitors. Great thanks to America TV, because they have been a great engine in this cause, as well as journalists who promote this purpose with Juan Manuel Cao and Pedro Sevcec. I have always believed that to understand the Bible, we must read the Genesis, as to know our bad delirious de Castro in Latin America, we must understand the Cuban reality in all its expression. Long live Cuba! Interesting museum. Leans very heavily towards only giving one perspective and I would have appreciated a more full and nuanced history of the Cuban diaspora, but it was still very informative and a good trip.

Learned so much about the Cuban diaspora and the Peter (Pedro) Pan flights. Also, the documentary about the Cuban Freedom fighters involved in the "Bay of Pigs" known as Battalion 2506, was amazingly informative. Cuban Americans can be proud of the dignity these heros comported themselves. Great exhibit a must for all Freedom loving people!

As a Cuban American, I’m very proud to see the former rich Cuban history exhibited here as well as hearing various personal stories from some of the people who left Cuba on Operation Peter Pan. Our group was privileged to have Ms. Valdivia as our tour guide. Excellent overall - definitely a must visit for any Cuban American who wants to get a better appreciation of their heritage.

My family members were not Pedro Pan (Father was a Balsero) but it was nice to see history and stories of those who lived to tell the tale of what happened those few years. The items are donated from Pedro Pan children so it allows you to get a sense of just how young they all were when they were forced to grow up.

An excellent way to gain first hand cultural experience about a situation of great significance to our country today. Everyone in the museum was knowledgeable and helpful. They spent lots of time explaining the history that led to the exodus of more than 14,000 overprotected children out of the ‘safety’ of their homes into the unknown. Most of those children (many of them grandparents now) know now the heartbreaking sacrifice their parents made to give them a chance at freedom. To them, their children and grandchildren…. A must see!

What a shame that this marvelous building houses such a colorless collection. This is what happens when art is politicized and an institution only represents what is comfortable to a minority of its constituency. A tragedy that the Cuban exile community simply won’t unite and that exhibitions have been relegated to oversimplifications and representations of things long past.

Just called the museum after 3 weeks since the Celia Cruz documentary was not playing due to technical issues, today they tell me that there are no videos playing. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and sarcastic and totally unprofessional! I came to this museum to see the Celia Cruz exhibition ‘Forever Celia’. It’s a small place and the Celia stuff takes everything they have. However, I found everything great. Very well arranged. Kudos to the executor for the care of detail and all the information he could gather. You can spend hours listening to every audio/video file, reading or just being amazed with all the things that belonged to that great woman. There’s a small room with an exhibit from a photographer that worked with Celia for several years and the quotes are very moving. I you loved the music and life of Celia Cruz, this is a must see. Everything else on this museum was very neat but I found disappointing that I had to run to an ATM because they only took cash for the admission. Also, I thought that this museum was included in the ‘Museums on Us’ from Bank of America but the receptionist told us otherwise.

(Translated by Google) The friendly receptionist and the design of the building were good, but the content to watch is rather lacking (I think it's being added). The Cuban national singer Celia Cruz is now in full swing. No matter where you go, you can see her face on the wall, on the signboard, or even on the menu.
