The night projector installations a brilliant idea. Something really nice to do after hours and enjoy the creativity of others and experience with alike of the community. Such a fun and creative idea definitely should consider this monthly as an event to attend to and rotating the art and themes it as it goes. Thank you for doing this!

One of the best museums I’ve ever visited! I’ll be honest I didn’t expect much from this museum because I was visiting Fort Pierce (somewhere I’ve never heard of) with a friend and we were looking for something fun to do. I didn’t expect such amazing and emotionally moving works of art. This has taught me not to judge a book by its cover (or not to judge a place just because you’ve never heard of it!). I’ve added my photos of my two favorite pieces. If I ever visit Vero Beach again this is the first place I’ll be visiting. Thank you for displaying such wonderful artwork!

Impressive museum for a "small town". Staff was amazing and displays of art pieces from local artists was really neat. To see a Picasso or Matisse not far from an up and coming local talent shows you how amazing the Vero community is. Would highly recommend. Don't forget to see the outside sculptures in the back.

We enjoyed our visit to the Vero Beach Art Museum. We came during the Christo and Jeanne-Claude exhibit. I was not familiar with their work however the museum provided adequate information and samples of their work. There was also a film documentary to watch in the exhibit that showed them at work building their art. The museum has some other exhibits which were interesting and an outdoor collection of art. I would recommend this museum for older teenagers and adults interested in art. It makes a good day trip and many restaurants are nearby to enjoy as well.

Small but lovingly curated museum. Lovely outdoor sculpture garden. We visit once a year on vacation and there are always different and extensive exhibits. The current exhibit features local private collections. Stunning works from Monet, Matisse, Picasso Rembrandt, Hockney, Warhol, Cassat, Rockwell, and more. Highly recommend. During pre-pandemic times and hopefully in the future there is a nice cafe.

Great little museum but professionally taken care of with amazing exhibits. Always check on what's upcoming on their website featuring art, photography, paintings, sculpture and video. They also have an art school for kids along with workshops.

We came to the MOA to see Rolling Sculpture. We had not been here previously. There is plenty of parking and we took some time walking the grounds prior to going inside. The Museum is small, with only a few exhibition halls, but it is beautiful. We spent about two hours here and really enjoyed the visit.

The facility here is gorgeous. Plenty of room inside. The check-in was friendly if not a bit slow. The exhibits are presented in a clean modern roomy setting. All in all the facilities are impeccable. It's unfortunate that more resources are not allocated to their collections. There may be a few exceptional pieces in their collections but we did not find them. Their website references a glass collection and when we got there we could not find it. When we asked, they said it was in storage upstairs. With all the room they have you would think they would be able to display their best pieces rather than keep them in storage. For Vero Beach I guess this is a great museum.

We had a homeschool field trip to the Vero art museum, and I think we were one of the first groups to come for a field trip since everything has opened up again. Our group was mostly younger children with my son being the only older age one. A group was given several sets of tour guides and all the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a children's section to the museum though it wasn't open when we visited. There's also a garden area but it started raining during our tour so we couldn't access it, the pavers get slippery in the rain. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of art given how small the museum looks from the outside, and there was a lot of attention to detail given during the tours. There is a small gift shop here.

We have been members for years. The exhibits are great and in some cases like the Rolling Sculptures collection currently on display can't be seen anywhere else.

Architecturally interesting, in a secluded location. The guitar exhibit was amazingly well done. Learned so much in a short amount of time. Even had an air guitar which of course does not exist. A few quality Ashcan school artists. The standout picture in original period 19th century frame was a large haystacks painting by #MartinJohnsonHeade It is luminous as it gets. In great condition, it seems it has always been in a cared for position. Loved the sculptures garden and art classes. The docent was charming and well spoken. Very nice experience. Will go back if in the area.

Went in November to see Modern Folk Art exhibit that included local artists. Hoped I would see some cool pieces. Instead, there was an old wooden ironing board with a childish painting of a woman hanging laundry on it. And a painting of six rooster heads in a small rustic crate. Both by Judy Burgarella. Both resembled the country kitsch you see for sale around every corner when you drive through the Smoky Mountains. This may have been modern folk art for someone living in a remote cracker homestead on the Florida prairie many moons ago, decorating mama's ironing board and celebrating their six beloved roosters in full living color. Burgarella , however, lives in a subdivision in Sebastian. She completely missed the mark and the Vero Beach Museum of Art was complicit in accepting her ridiculous entries. I had no idea their standards were so low.

I take my aunt to this museum once a month. She's 86 years old. We walk around and look at all the exhibits and we always have a good time. When the concession stand is open we grab a bite to eat before leaving . We always enjoy seeing what they have.

We loved visiting the Art museum for free with the military summer program! While it is small, the kids loved the statue garden and kids at play room. I would've loved to see more of a mix of art but grateful the AC was cool and the children were amazed by the galaxy photograph exhibit.

Well-curated pieces of popular and local arts. Great protocol procedures in place like temperature check, monitoring occupancy within each exhibit hall, etc. I really enjoyed my time there!

Love this jewel of a museum. Located on gorgeous grounds, they host rotating exhibits. Well worth the three hours we spent there. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and the sculpture garden is very pleasant. Plus they offer classes. Perfect way to spend an afternoon. Then take a stroll along the water in adjacent Riverside Park.

The MC Escher exhibition of one of my favorite artists was such a worthwhile experience! I also enjoyed the additional works, including seeing a piece by Jim Dine.

Very nice museum! Had a great M.C. Escher exhibit while we were there.

I’m not extremely into art but this exhibit is very cool. I had the pleasure of being in town while the MC Escher exhibit was available which was the main reason I decided to go. It did not disappoint. I really enjoy his artwork and the trippy ideas he had. Was nice that military/first responders get in free.

  • 5/5 Mellanie D. 6 months ago on Google • 22 reviews
Lovely place! The M. C. Escher exhibit is a lot of fun and I suggest you all go and see it while it’s up. The museum guides are very friendly and come up to you to talk about the artists and tell you a bit about their life. Beautiful and well maintained place!

Great museum and a nice place to beat the heat. Took the kids there and they loved Art Zone. Interactive exhibits that they can build, create and edit. Galleries are well laid out. We were going to do the sculpture garden, but ran out of time because we were in the Art Zone too long. Highly recommend. Grounds are beautiful. Funky eclectic gift shop.

    Much ado about mediocrity.

  • 5/5 Tasha T. 4 months ago on Google
Saw the Escher exhibit and it was fascinating! Nice selection of his work from different eras of his career. Docent tour was not necessary as most of the information was in Wikipedia and it was hard to hear her speak in the gallery setting. Overall a small, quaint gallery in a nice area of Vero. The sculpture garden was lovely but didn't have many sculptures... they may have been removed for cleaning or repair or something.? Nice student artwork area and cute small gift shop.

We really enjoyed our visit here and found the staff, especially Ruth, to be friendly and welcoming. There are a few sculptures in front of the museum, which could be accessed without admission, but the art inside and the additional sculptures in their gated outdoor area were wonderful.

  • 5/5 Diana B. 2 years ago on Google
We are here for the weekend and just want to relax. This museum was very comforting and the staff was very friendly. They have inside and outside exhibits so we sat outside and enjoyed the sculptures out there. I highly recommend this place for art and exhibits. ☺️

Small but with great wall art work and special Parisian posters exhibit. Astrology exhibit was educational and beautiful. Dont miss the outside gardens gallery. A must see.

  • 5/5 Dave G. 11 months ago on Google
I have been to the museum several times and have always been glad I did. It's a very attractive modern building in a beautiful lagoon-side park, and the art displays are excellent. My most recent visits (two of them because I went twice) were for the art deco car show. This exhibit was exquisite. I have never seen anything like it. Kudos to the museum for curating such a world class show!

I was visiting friends in Florida and the show of vintage concept autos and 2 motorcycles was fascinating with knowledge of the designers and auto makers of the 1930's of both European and American!

We visited the Vero Beach Museum of Art and took a guided tour of the exhibit Rolling Sculptures. It was an excellent experience. Our Docent, Deborah Flynn, was charming, patient, knowledgeable and enjoyed taking us walking around the cars, motorcycles and mascots. It was a very interesting well curated exhibit that took us all back to a time in history full of creativity and contrasts.

Awesome art museum to just go and hang out in. My fiance loved it.

  • 4/5 Zachary P. 2 years ago on Google
Good way to spend the afternoon inside looking at exhibits and pieces and outside browsing around the sculpture garden. It isn't a huge museum with floors of galleries, so I thought the amount and time spent was just right; maybe people who love to spend hours appreciating art would think it could use more.

  • 5/5 Dylan A. 2 years ago on Google
What a surprising gem of an experience. A wonderful and varied selection of pieces. The atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. A great collection and a must see if you are in the West Palm Beach area.

This morning Kathy and I went to the museum and saw the exhibition of the French Posters. It was fantastic 😊 Well worth the hour's drive to get there. And of course we had to go through the rest of the museum. What a lovely surprise to see what they've got.

  • 5/5 Nancy H. 4 years ago on Google
As a visitor to Vero Beach This was a lovely stop. The museum and its works of art are definitely worth seeing. The building itself is interesting and the artwork unique and beautifully displayed. The extra special treat at this Museum Is the Garden in the back. It is a place to spend quiet time to enjoy the beauty of the garden in the sculptures that are there. And I would say don't skip the Museum Store. There are also some unique and beautiful items there at affordable prices

A must visit when you are anywhere near Vero Beach FL.

  • 3/5 Anne M. 4 years ago on Google
Not as big of a place as most museums. The cost of admission is comparable to museums such as Boston's Museum of Fine Arts yet not even close to being as interesting. I suppose that explains the lack of patrons the Saturday morning we stopped by. Sad since the facility is quite nice. Exhibit currently on display seems to be more about photography than actual paintings and classic art. The sculptures in the garden were more interesting and seemed to be the highlight of this visit for me.

  • 5/5 Billie R. 4 years ago on Google
A smaller museum than most but a lovely space. The docents are very knowledgeable so take advantage of one of the free accompanied tours.

  • 4/5 Lisa C. 4 years ago on Google
The art was amazing. Very happy to see the Phillips collection. I was a bit disappointed they closed early the day we went and we drove over an hour to get there so was not able to explore as much as I would have liked.

Such a wonderful little treasure of a museum! Even the café now has delicious sandwiches and snacks made on site. All the visiting exhibitions I’ve been to have been highly memorable. I also love that they offer classes—such an asset to the community.

  • 5/5 Ann D. 4 years ago on Google
The current exhibition of Phillips collection is thorough and tells a story that's worth viewing. Really liked the museum. Recommend

  • 4/5 Leslie T. 5 years ago on Google
We went here on free day at the Museum. I had never been here before and will return. Loved the inside and outside art of their permanent collection. Loved the museum store and certainly made it up to museum for the free admission with many gift purchases. Only issues were that they didn’t have any type of map outlining what was in the museum and that the museum was in between exhibits so normally there would be a lot more to see. Docents were all over and were great at adding little bits of extra information about pieces which was nice. I will go back when there is an exhibition.

This museum is wonderful for a community of our size. It has had a wide variety of exhibitions from The Hudson River School to Folk Art to the Highway Men. There are many classes and programs for both children and adults. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. It's free on the last day of the month.
