Chapel Trail Nature Preserve is a hidden gem for those who love nature, birds, small trails, and just being outdoors. A must visit, it's free, the trail is an easy walk on a bridge over wetlands.

Peaceful trail on a boardwalk through some wetlands. Although it's not very big. It is peaceful and relaxing. There is a few spots where you can sit down and read a book or just meditate. Parking was free. You can spend about an hour or so. Not much else to do.

I searched for a nature preserve near me to explore and this popped up. It's a bit out of my way but I am so glad I visited. It's a beautiful preserve with a short but nice boardwalk stretching out over wetlands. The vegetation is diverse with lots of Red Maple, Live Oak, Bald Cypress, Slash Pines, Water Lillies etc. Lots of wildlife too with many birds, butterflies, dragonflies, fish, alligators and turtles to see. I loved it and I will definitely visit again.

It's definitely worth the visit. The walking trail gives you good views of various wildlife. Along the path, there are boards with the image of wildlife/plants, and it provides some details about each one. We had the opportunity of seeing a gator sunbathing by the dock.

Beautiful spot to go for a short walk, it takes no more than 20 minutes to go from the beginning to the end of the wooden bridge that runs across the swamp.

I never know if I should rate parks on my expectations or with what they promise. I guess I'll go with a lil bit of both. This park is exactly what if promises. A board in the middle of the reservation area. The board walk is a solid 5 minutes walk and well maintained. No trash around the park. You can also rent a canoe. Even though some were full of water. Saw one snake, and a few turtles and fish. It's a bummer you can't do anything "fun" here. No fishing, no drinking, no smoking, no skating, no boats, and specially no pets. If you want a park just to sit down and watch a swampy area. This is perfect for you. Anything else you want to do go somewhere else.

Very quiet nature preserve to get a quick getaway from the urban hustle. Like the boardwalk and the seating areas to take a break along the short walk. Not very big, but the boardwalk was in good condition and I saw a canoe launching area.

We enjoyed going for a walk on the trail. My kids especially loved the signs along the way with information about the animals and plants you can see.

hidden gem - makes you feel like you are in the middle of the glades. I visit here frequently for peace and connecting to nature- many turtles, gallinules, herons, egrets, ibis, marsh bunnies, natural local trees and shrubs as well as even the occasional smaller gator by the first floating docks. check it out!

SO MANY SPIDERS 🤣 Beautiful trails and it's great place to walk and chat. I hope you like creepy crawlies, because this park is filled with them!

Visiting nature trails on a vacation is a delightful past time. Saw this trail in the everglades area and was intrigued. The bathrooms on site are decently clean. The Chapel Trail Nature Preserve has an array of wildlife to view- from birds to turtles. There are funny birds too with such interesting calls! (Note the video below). Overall, the reason for the 4 stars is that the boardwalk was unexpectedly shorter than we anticipated. Also, there seems to be construction near the preserve which is confusing as to what's being placed there. Perhaps a visitor's center is on the way. Who knows?

Great way the see the swamps and wildlife. Beautiful views that stretch out as far as the eye can see. It's about a 20-30 minute walk roundtrip depending on how fast you walk. There are cute educational signs posted along the way. Come here for a nice break from the city.

There is a small board walk taking you out into the preserve with informational plaques. Fairly small, but a very beautiful place.

Chapel Trail breathtaking trail in South Florida. They offer canoe rentals and also the trail is fairly not that long. I thought it was absolutely worth the trip. Video on location is up on below social media. IG: FoodieFortLauderdale TIKTOK: FoodieFortLauderdale YOUTUBE: FoodieFortLauderdale

Nice little place to relax. The trail isn't very big but you can come and unwind and it feels great! You will see different types of animals. No gators from my experience but you will turtles, birds, and many types of fish.

A nice little walk on a boardwalk through the wetlands. Spotted a Great Egret, baby turtles, and a cute little yellow bird. Not many people around and mostly in the blazing sun. No trash cans except at the entrance.

We went on a air boat ride and felt like exploring more of the area. So glad we came here- Perfect for kids! We spotted a soft shell tortoise and a gar under one of the bridges.

Very nice, quiet boardwalk park. Informational plaques along boardwalk have seen better days, some unreadable. But that's Florida weather for you.
