This is an overall park rating. 1. The park itself is nice, with many scenic areas and several trails, the paths wind around the park nicely. 2. The playground is clean and nicely shades for kids however all benches are directly in sun. 3. The Safety Town area needs repairs but is a nice pretend play area for the kids. 4. The exercise area is a plus and well shaded. 5. Castaway Island is the highlight of the park -the prices are fair, the waterpark is clean and well supervised, i felt safe being there alone with 2 kids. I was surprised that they didn't offer to sell towels on site - would be a great revenue generating source that could double as memorabilia for visits. 6. RV campground - the spaces are pull through, no proper shade nor privacy (there is a trail around the lake where passerbys can just freely peer into your camper) and the train tracks directly behind the rv site area is a nuisance especially at night when trying to sleep. There are 5g towers all over the park which I'm not a personal fan of. The laundry facility is in need of some TLC. What i did appreciate and love that seems to be unique to this particular campground are the trash and recycling cans at every other site and that they practically cleaned them out every other day! I wouldn't stay here again as an RVer but would definitely come back for the Castaway Island Waterpark. ** my son scraped his knee while at park, i was able to use some of the beautiful Bidens alba (spanish needles) that are all over to stop his bleeding- the plant has natural styptic and antibacterial/fungal properties.

Stayed at the RV campground. NO directions on how to get into the park for RVs. Google sends you to an entrance that is a locked gate. The main entrance looks like it is for the water park. Fortunately, a kind neighbor who comes here to walk daily gave me excellent directions - assuring me that this was the only entrance for RVs and where the campground office was. Wonderful trails for walking and biking and lovely views of the huge lake. Our (paved) site was a pull-in facing the lake - spacious with a very large patio. The hook-ups are at the far back end of the site (off roadway). Some people needed 4+ extensions for their sewer hose. I would highly recommend this park.

This is great park with a lot of space to relax or walk around the lake. We come here to walk our dog and now baby. You can ride your bike, play basketball, tennis and even go swimming in the pool (before they drain the pool for winter, you can bring your dog). You can bbq and for bigger gatherings there are shelters to rent. You can even rent a spot for your RV. Off of Sheridan and 95.

Great park with a good walking trails. Parking great and there are lots of picnic tables and pavilions to eat or hang out at. The park is never too crowded and the people are pretty friendly. There is a good amount of ducks and squirrels at the park, but none are too annoying. Overall TY park is an excellent park.

Entirely worth the affordable entrance fee and maybe even the annual pass! T.Y. takes multifaceted to new levels when you consider all of its amenities and how large it is. That said, parking has never been an issue and during my visits the visitors have all been polite and courteous, whether it be on the trails or the roads. I'd say the gem of the park is it's massive lake which provides life to the ecosystem and variety of wildlife inhabiting the premises. In addition to the different types of wildlife, you'll find ample space for picnics, spaces you can rent for parties, basketball courts, volleyball setups, even a water park. The park has shelters scattered throughout that contain gender-specific restrooms, but the park in general does it's best to be wheelchair accessible. Best of all, dogs are allowed and everyone usually has the courtesy to keep them on their respective leashes.

So much fun! We had a gathering with my church community group from SHBC, carved pumpkins and ate pies. Plenty of tables under the shade without having to rent a pavilion. Was able to drive right up to our location. Weather was perfect and the grounds are well kept and clean!

2022 Year after my previous review, with my second child, I'm even more disappointed about the new playground. I find it dangerous for lityle ones, and boring for older ones. It only suitd the 3-6 age group. I love the park though! _____ 2019 here today was great as usual! Love this park. I am disappointed because they have built a new playground and destroyed the old one that included an area for babies. the new one is for children older than 2 years, and doesn't have any swings or anything for babies. The swings are a great way to develop balance and coordination. I wonder why the have been removed. I will be looking for a park with a playground for babies and with swings

Beautiful park! My daughter loves the kids playground. it’s pretty big in size and they also have a nice water park that we had my daughters birthday park at. and the guest loved it so much they booked their kids parties there. the only thing i didn’t like is they are very strict on collecting park entry even 20 minutes before they close granted it’s 1.50 per person but still the property taxes fund the operations of the park. i found that odd because we visit other county run parks and usually before they close it’s no charge but TY is still collecting entry

Awesome place to go with your family. It has as a water park for the kids, a huge pool even for babies with a beautiful waterfall. They don't sell food, but you can bring all the food you want. The pool area is located inside the park that has a lake where you can go fishing and the park also has bbq grills and benches. Great place to celebrate birthday parties. My family loves it🥰

This place is eye catching, quiet and family friendly. It has an outdoor gym area, basketball, volleyball, tennis, kids playground, picnic areas, bike and walking trails. It also has an RV camping area that is pet friendly, and an outdoor water park. The WiFi is a public Wifi that doesn't seem to reach the RV section.

Father's day picnic. Awesome! Had a wonderful time. Go for Pavillion 0. Faces the lake and the weather had a lovely breeze. Very separate from others. Plenty of tables and space for the kids to play. Grill. Definitely renting again.. Well worth it.

TY park is a phenomenal place. Myself and my family have been coming here for years. The way they nurture TY park is amazing. I took my little 5yr to the hayride last night and we had a great time. Staff was friendly also conducted them selves in a professional manner. I was very impress seeing it was majority of young adults. To top it off my wife and I spark up a conversation with Mr Crowley and to say the least chilvary is not dead, above and beyond with the hospitality. Keep up the amazing work ladies and Gents. Best,

This is a wonderful park with lots of room to unwind or stroll around the lake. There are cycling and walking routes, a kids' playground, picnic spots, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts outside. Overall, the park is lovely and peaceful. We cherished it!

Stayed at the rv campground during the month of September. This is a county park, very popular with the locals, because of all the amenities that it has. The rv campground is at the back of the park away from the crowds, which is nice. This is a great park if you are in need to be close to the urban areas (we were visiting family nearby). Full hookups, nice bathrooms. There is some road noise, as expected for such a location, remember, this is an urban park. As such, highly recommended!

Went here for the first time today. Overall, it’s a very nice and relaxing park. Personally, I liked the lake (or body of water there) and the area around it. There were a lot of people in the park, doing their own things like walking their dogs, playing, bar-b-queing, etc

One of my favorite parks. It has walking trails, a kid's park with a jungle gym, rentable huts for parties, and a water park too. It's surrounded by large trees and greenery where football games, picnics, and sunbathing can be done. There's also guided exercise equipment. It's dog and bike friendly. It's also home to squirrels and some iguanas. As of now, adults pay $1.50 for weekend entry. Weekdays are free.
