This nature center is awesome, very quiet, also peaceful. The park trail was beautiful, and the scenery was inviting. Parts of the park were closed off, that is to be expected but still a great way to spend an afternoon with family and friends. No entrance fee

Beautiful park and trails. Love that they pay homage to the previous tenants, Pioneer City and Kapok Tree Inn, with pictures and memorabilia in the Main Hall along with exhibits, fossils and interactive content for the kids

A great park with a bit of history attached to it! Did you know that 56 years ago this location was home to an Old West theme park, complete with a saloon, general store and gun fights at high noon? Or how about that the same ground was home to ever so popular Kapok Tree Restaurant in the 1974. The beauty of this park not only lies on the nature trail and scenery but the wealth of history associated with the land. This park is truly one very unique and very educational trip!

Another hidden gem. I've lived in Coral Springs nearly 19 years and only discovered this place today. If you happen to have your own horse, the bridle path is paradise. If not, bring your bicycles for an easy ride along a paved sidewalk that parallels the horse trail. The nature center provides an informative hands-on exhibit of flora, fauna, and interesting exhibits of indigenous peoples from long ago. It's hard to think this was an island once, in the heart of Davie. Outback is an amazing lilypad pond that will remind art lovers of a Monet painting. Cold drinks and rocking chairs are available.

It's a nice little trek through nature, and you'll see a few birds. But that said, it surprises me how few birds there are. I came earlyish, but didn't see too many. Still, it's a nice place to unwind and take a break!

Lovely walk! The paths and trails are very well maintained. Plenty of photo opportunities along the path, along with rest areas, and the large pavilion/guest center with the most magnificent porch filled with rocking chairs and overhead fans.

Very beautiful park but please be aware of the spiders I didn’t see any caution signs for spiders at the park and not even 2 minutes into our nature walk a huge golden spider & web was face level & head level above 5’1 , but don’t let the spiders ruin your visit so try not to walk into their webs be very cautious. I enjoyed my visit , I do plan on going there again just wish the path way wasn’t blocked by a huge golden spider and it’s web. Also the park is so big some of the park isn’t maintained because we saw parts of the park closed off with a no trespassing signs that was fading away. If you want to see iguanas, spiders, turtles, butterflies or just nature in general I do recommend this park 🌺 Also I was able to capture a couple of pictures I will share with you guys. Rare Coontie Butterfly.

It was a very informative experience. Tequesta and Seminole tribes lived there. Liked the museum and a small trail, rocking chairs are a must in the afternoon.

This is the second time I've visited the park. This park is quite large with plenty of walking trails in dense native South Floridian woods. Lots of cool areas to visit and explore in the park, such as Pioneer City. Very historical area.

Today was a gorgeous day for a nature walk through the hardwood hammock. Some of the trees are over 350 years old! I enjoyed the dirt trails that veered off the concrete path. Beautiful trees and vegetation, wildlife, lots of butterflies and an interesting structure with a water feature to sit by and relax. The nature center had some interesting exhibits as well.

A very nice little natural park. Plenty of areas to walk with nice paved trails. At the right time of year, check with the staff, migrating birds and flowers would be beautiful. There is a very interesting map of how the area evolved over the past half century plus. Nice little ‘museum’ with local items as well. Restrooms are clean. Definitely going to try to visit this park again. Didn’t see any fees required to enter the park.

This place is beautiful. Good for relaxing, having a picnic, walking, and more. It's also a host of many rental events (like weddings). We got to know this place because my son started volunteering here almost every first Saturday of each month. That said, it is a great place for teenagers to get volunteer hours. Also is free for you to enjoy. It has become one of my favorite parks.

The first few times we came here most of the park was closed but this time we were able to go into the nature center and thoroughly walk the trails. It was very interesting to learn about the history of the area that also used to be an attraction called Pioneer City. Definitely worth checking out on a beautiful day.

Love this little gem. Free and accepts donations. If you trek out past the horse trail, you can see some remnants of the old Western Theme Park. Lots of birds and a cute little museum with changing local art and photography galleries. Many thanks to the curators and park employees!

I'm a local resident but never had been here. Very impressed with the nature center. My kids enjoyed it. I learned a lot about local history. We had a nice walk on the trails. We definitely will return. Very clean restrooms.

Beautiful nature center, great paved sidewalks to wander around, lots of butterflies, great nature walk spot for my baby and I! You really feel deep in the jungle at some points, you can’t hear any cars, and we were the only people there when we went- great place to spend time in nature, catch a breathe and relax.

A nice place to get away from the city and soak up nature! Loved walking around the paths, also noticed they have special hikes and activities for children. Will definitely returned!

Very nice park. They have an area with water running in a circle in a trough, very nice place to sit and meditate. Nice trails.

Great park and place for a picnic. We took a group of our older residents, some walkers and power chairs and had no problems! We put this at the top of our favorites list!

Really beautiful trails shaded by tall trees. There is an information building with an interesting presentation on the area. Outside there is a shaded deck all around the building with rocking chairs.

Loved it here. A lovely nature trail. My 4 years old daughter loved it also, so it's definitely a great place to take the kids.

This is an incredibly spacoius nature center off the beaten path. The bridges over the water filled with lily pads are peaceful & serene. There is much shade through the trails clearly marked with appropriate directional signage. The Broward County Human Rights Coalition reflection area is lovely. They offer picnic tables in shaded open spaces areas - great for lunches, reading books, and taking photographs. This nature center is very quiet and peaceful. There is the occasional wildlife roaming the grounds - to expected when you're in the woods. Parts of the park were closed off, to be expected but still a great way to spend an afternoon.

👍 It was a dream of my son to fly in the tube iFly. So I took him for birthday. Experience was great and staff was friendly. But pricing is not something you want to pay 100$ per person for 1 minute of flying two times. I’m being honest, because then you have to add $20 twice. Each time when you want...
