Stopped by The Field Irish Pub as part of our night in Fort Lauderdale. We did not regret it one bit. The atmosphere inside made it feel like a genuine Irish Pub and Eatery. You had more of a Pub feel on one side of the restaurant and on the other, a quiet eatery. We opted for the quiet Eatery. We enjoyed many delicious options for food, from a genuine potato soup, to fish and chips, and even pot pie. We even tried bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. Our waiter was very attentive and gave insightful recommendations from the menu. We definitely enjoyed our experience there and would recommend it to others.

Love this place, always fantastic. Being from the North, it scratches a different itch. Irish food is comforting in nature, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Pot roast was delicious, Drunken chicken has what was one of the most delicious sauces on it that I have ever tasted. Brown butter in nature, I think, was divine to put it lightly. Don't miss the live music!!

We love this place!! We stopped on a spontaneous date night. We were blown away when we walked in. I felt like we left Florida and were in some cool Epcot Irish pub. The decor was wow. The whole ambiance was just so enjoyable. We had a great time!!! The food the drinks! They have bands playing. We can’t wait to go back!!!! UPDATE! Down a star :( So we went back and brought our parents. It was a nice experience again. The dinners were all good. Just a few issues. The waitress was nice but 1. We asked for our bread that was stated on the menu (comes with dish) she replied sorry it’s four dollars now. So all the menus we received were older? 2. We were charged more on our bill at the end -We ordered the bread pudding. We received ice cream with it. (thinking nothing of it) On the bill we were charged for ice cream we never ordered it. We were charged for beer we never ordered. The ice cream was good and didn’t want to make a big deal over it but the beer? She smiled and laughed and apologized saying it was the table before us and they didn’t want it and some how it was on our tab. :/

What a beautiful restaurant! The feel and look of this place is amazing! The service was great! Out waiter was very kind and helpful with questions we had. The potato soup was excellent! But I really loved the shepherd's pie. Wow so good! Oh and with cheese on top! 😋😋😋

An amazing and unique place to dine! The Field offers a great menu of Irish favorites, a full bar, live entertainment more nights than not, and an old world feel. The staff is wonderful and make everyone feel welcome. Parking is available on site, but limited. There is an overflow lot and short distance away, or you can valet. Call ahead for big parties or to reserve a special spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.

First time tonight and we can’t wait to go back! Locals here. Caesar salad, great bread with meal, tender grilled pork chop, yummy drunken chicken (mushroom sauce). Will try the “famous” bread pudding next time. I do like my potato soup more chunky though. Sat at bar. Nice crowd. Lots of little areas to sit in. Live band some nights. Good parking lot.

The ambiance in here is spectacular! This entire dining experience was phenomenal, and I loved that we found this place so late at night after seeing a show at the Hard Rock! There was live music, traditional dishes, excellent pours of Guinness, the bread with the honey butter was INCREDIBLE, and wonderful bread pudding! Thank you for incredible service, food, and experience!

The Field has been my favorite Irish pub outside of Ireland for the last 20 years! Highly recommend for a cozy night in the pub area with live music or a quieter evening in the restaurant area, all with amazing food and drinks and great service. I love that they have added several vegan options, including the impossible shepherd’s pie, impossible burger and veggie burger AND they have vegan Mayo! So awesome. Ask for the barrel booth in the pub area if you can! My favorite seating in the whole restaurant.

The place is an authentic Irish pub. The music, the people inside invite to spend a lot of time eating and drinking. They have different kind of beer between lager, Pilsner, red ale even porter and stouts. The food is really good. Try the scallops in white sauce and not forgot to order an extra side of bread, you’ll not regret. The fried Brie cheese will surprise you because is totally fried and look like the good knowing fish&chips.

My 11 girlfriends and i went yesterday to celebrate St. Patty day a few days early at your restaurant. 5 stars are not enough. First the place looks cozy and really clean and nice outside but when you step inside you are transfer from a typical south florida restaurant back to an Irish pub. The place comes alive with dim lights. Artifacts and almost every server had an accent. We actually had two Irish women in the group so they got a huge kick out of it. The servers were super good. In totally i think we had 2 of them. Sorry not good with names but the young lady had to had been from Ireland. And the food. Best part. Fresh. Large plates. So so yummy. We had Baked Brie with raspberries. Oozy cheese baked on crackers. Onion rings. Where did they get these huge onions from. Not greasy. Just right. Shepherd pie. Oh my heavens food. Their warm bread and sweet butter. Drunken chicken so yummy. Battered chicken with a mushroom sauce. Burger. Fresh with all the toppings. And for dessert Apple Caramel Blossom. Big enough to share if wanted to but small enough for one person. Everyone had a great time And this is a great place to get together. Until next time.

Love this place. Interior is authentic. You get live music ones in a while without planning it. Beer is fresh. Food is very good. Pork chops are amazing.

This has got to be one of the most unique and interesting Irish Pubs I have been in for a while. I go to a lot of cities and have been in my fair share. This place has multiple sections, but it looks like you are in an old rustic house, bar, inn, barn. Totally cool place. The staff was very helpful and polite. The chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie were excellent. The live music was excellent.

Atmosphere Outside is a cozy banyan tree that gives plenty of shade to eat outdoors. If you eat inside, then there is live music to enjoy on weekends. The crowd tends to be a little older but all in all its still a fun time. The food has some classic Irish dishes with some more modern things to please everyone. I had a Shepard pie and it was better than I was expecting but not the best I've ever had. The salmon my mother-in-law had was very good. My wife got a salad but I wasn't going to try that at an Irish bar. They have a good selection of beer and quite a few local brews which I always appreciate. I had the banyan tree because of the aforementioned outdoor decorations. It was probably one of the better red ales I've had The service was good, it was pretty dead so that helped but we were never left waiting for her to swing by so that is definitely a plus. All in all would go again but mostly for the music when it's playing. The food was good but just not good enough to be great.

Such a great experience!! Best bar food I’ve had in a bit-and if someone not the biggest fan of bar, food and limited in options because I don’t eat meat this is saying a lot. Whole staff is great, live music is legit, and good selection of beer. You definitely need to make a reservation because the place gets packed and you can definitely tell there are tons of locals/repeat customers which I often take as a great sign. Parking is a bit annoying unless you snag a spot in the front you have to valet for a charge that isn’t the only con.

The atmosphere is amazing!!!! Feels like a very traditional Irish setting. I had the sausage rolls and they were delicious. I had the Galeic steak and my wife had the pork chop. I had half of both and they were cooked as good as any steakhouse. The bread they serve is very soft and tasty. Great experience. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Service: service was solid. Our waitress was a bit spread thin with all the tables she had to manage but she did a good job given what she had to do. Food: honestly was surprised by how good the food was. Expect your bar staples but with more variety and options for your entree. Atmosphere: the inside is fairly dark, might be a turnoff for some people but there is plenty of outside seating. Price: the portions make the prices fair. You’re looking at about $15+ per entree and it can get as high as $25. Overall: 7.3/10

My favorite thing about this place was our server Jordan. He was incredible, attentive and made us feel so welcome on our first visit. awesome guy. Besides the service the food was 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend the pot-roast and the smoked fish dip The atmosphere was so cozy and romantic I loved the swing chairs ! this will probably be one of my go to date night spots.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Atmosphere is amazing. The Field has successfully recreated the Irish pub with their decor. Plenty of fireplaces and Irish country antiques with a homey touch of family pictures and paintings and lanterns. There's plenty of seating inside and they also have outdoor covered seating available. The service was very good although a bit slow to begin with due to the large number of patrons who were there to hear Ian Miller sing Irish ballads and popular songs the night we were there. Food was excellent and choices were abundant with many traditional Irish choices. The steak and mushroom Guiness pie was excellent. Ian Miller was wonderful to listen too and soon had the whole place singing along with him! I would highly recommend the Field as a dining destination!

I recently visited The Field Irish Pub and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed their selection of Irish dishes. The ambiance was also lovely, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Field Irish Pub to anyone looking for great food and a delightful atmosphere.

Great food, ambiance, customer service, and entertainment! We went here on a busy Saturday night, and despite the crowd, we were seated promptly in a cozy booth. The vibe is very comfortable and homey even when crowded. You can sit near the entertainment, or if you would rather a more relaxing area, they have separate rooms from the live music. They also have an outdoor area with plenty of space. We got a few different items: -Fried Brie: Good, but I feel that frying it removes a lot of the brie's flavor profile. Would not order again as I prefer it baked or fresh. -Onion Rings: Very good, didn't fall apart, sauce went well. -Vegan Shepherds Pie: Tasted good, but I suggest that you bake it longer as it was a bit cold in some spots (likely because they use frozen vegetables). I would order again but ask to cook it longer. -Chicken Pot Pie: Fantastic, definitely the star of the show. It was the best pot pie we've ever had - it was SO GOOD. Definitely order if you come here. Drinks were mostly good, I would recommend the Wicklow Wolfhound cocktail and the guava sour. Irish cider was fine but would not order again. Overall, worth the trip for the pot pie, comforting vibe, and quality service. Thank you!

Stopped by this absolutely hidden gem of a place recently There is a nice bit of parking and an age old Banyan tree up front. The whole vibe was cozy, warm, welcoming and I got the feeling I was about to take a load off. The minute I walked into this place, I felt like a cross between JRR Tolkien and Captain Cook transported back in time walking into an Olde Pub for a weary traveller. Oh, what a treat! The decor inside is simply stunning. The place is so full of character, the walls had stories upon stories to tell and I would have just been content sitting here forever, drinking my Guinness and reading a dusty old book for ages through a monocle. We tucked ourselves into a cool little booth by the corner that felt like a ships cabin and ordered ourselves some Guinness and some house brew (Banyan?). Both were fantastic. Since we were just coming off a 20 mile trek, we were utterly famished and ordered a bunch of stuff. Chips and Curry - 10/10. Classic English Chips, almost like wedge fries with a fantastically tasty curry dip. Not too spicy and delivered just the right amount of kick. Bread with Honey Butter - 10/10. Warm and so satisfying. Onion Rings - 10/10. Surprisingly large portion size, and absolutely well done! Irish Sausage Rolls - 10/10. The sausage inside was deadly satisfying and the flaky, fluffy, light, airy, crusty pastry outside was a masterclass in how a flaky, fluffy, light, airy, crusty pastry should be like! Stupid good. Shepard's Pie - Gazillion / 10. Muahahahaha and on to my next piratey adventure is how I felt when I had this meaty, potatoey, cheddary baby right here. Waitstaff - 10/10. Attentive, pleasant, speedy and bright! Easy no brainer repeat for me!

There are a good amount of Irish Pubs here in Broward, but I think The Field has the best food of all. The sausage rolls are a must as an appi. As far as an entree, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. The last time I had was the Guinness beef and mushroom pot pie. It comes with a little scoop of mashed potatoes and peas. Another great dish is the pork chop with veggies. It's one of the best pork chops I have had. The service is good, but sometimes the servers do take a little bit of time when the place is busy. The atmosphere is great, dimly lit, but that fits the pub esthetic. Usually live music on Thursdays; acoustic classic rock and Irish folk.

Food and atmosphere were terrific. We happened onto this place buy accident. We are extremely glad we did. Authentic Irish fare. Prices are somewhat high but the quality of service and food made it well worth it. If you are in the Fort Lauderdale area you will not be disappointed by dining there.

I came here out of curiosity last week and then came back with my girlfriend and her sister. This is one very particular theme restaurant, the atmosphere is very dim lighting and very Irish theme. The food is amazing! We had the European Cheese Board, the Fried Brie, Potato Skins and the Country Bread for appetizer! Each was really good but my favorite had to be the European Cheese Board as it had a variety of cheeses and crackers. For my entry I had the pot roast and I was blown away! I usually go for a steak or a burger but I decided to go with something completely new and was pleased with my choice. I paired it with an Irish red ale. The veggies were cooked really well. GF had the salmon, and sadly she said it was too gamey for her. I had a taste and I do have to agree. She did finish it but, she’ll have something else next time. Her sister had the Barrywall steak. She loved the way it was prepared with the Worcester sauce. She also had a Irish Potato soup, which was fulfilling too. We came in the right time and had Ian perform some live music for us, music was great and it fit the theme! Overall I really had a blast coming here as did my girlfriend and her sister! I definitely recommend coming here for the scenery, the food or to grab a pint! There is absolutely something for everyone at the Field!

This is the coolest place, it doesn't feel you're in South Florida, it has a lot of ambience, it's lively yet quiet enough. The wait for a table was long and the wait for the food was also long, even though the restaurant was not full. Food was healthy and good quality but a bit on the bland side. Corned beef and cabbage would definitely benefit with some salt and pepper 😉. All the staff members were super nice!! 👍

SO GOOD!! The best Irish food I’ve ever had! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is amazing we’ve never had bad service here. The food is so good I’ll even sometimes pick it up to go on the way home from work just because I’m craving it. The potato soup is mindblowingly delicious!

  • 5/5 Simon W. 10 months ago on Google
I go back to this place a lot, and for good reason. When you walk in, it doesn’t feel like you’re in South Florida anymore. It feels like you’re in Ireland. Very charming, they have two sides to sit at, one is bands, and it’s louder, and the other is a quiet area. I chose the quite area. The service is great, it’s pretty fast, and they’re pretty attentive. This last time I went was for Father’s Day, sometimes we go there to celebrate some occasion. Now onto the food. So this time I started out with the potato soup, which was the first time I ever had it. It was topped with cheese, chives, and bacon. And it was really good, it was very hearty. Then I had the meatloaf, with veggies, and I replaced the mashed potatoes with French fries because I knew that the French fries there were amazing. The second best in Broward county. And the meatloaf was amazing, we usually have desserts which are also great, but we were so full that we didn’t. Overall one of the best in Broward County, and I’ll continue to go. Final Rating: 10/10

Easily accommodated the 10 of us. We ate inside, Irish Pub ambiance. Great food. We stopped on the way to the airport, sure beats airport food! Nice Banyan Tree incorporated into the outside. 2 different atmospheres inside or out.

In comparison to other Irish restaurants I've visited, the food is on the bland side here. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service was slow, but our server was nice. The veggies were served barely lukewarm and my fish breading/crust was soggy instead of crispy, i ended up peeling it off ro eat since i was hungry and it was also tasteless. The kids enjoyed the bangers and mash and grilled chicken kids' meals options. the chicken pot pie was the best dish ordered. i would still recommend the restaurant if looking for a decent Irish meal.
