Visited Waxy's for Happy Hour. We were greeted, seated and served our drinks within 10 minutes. Our server, Gianna, was fantastic, knowledgeable and efficient. The place was busy, and we chose to sit inside, as the outside patio was too humid. Their Happy Hour specials were abundant. I chose the Blackened Fish Tacos, which came with French Fries, and my friend ordered Shepherds Pie. The tacos were delicious, and the fries were just as they should be. I sampled my friends Shepherds Pie and found it to be wonderfully prepared, hot and tasty. Service was great, and our glasses were kept full. Will definitely be back here.

Great little Irish pub. Stopped in for happy hour and just relaxed with a local beer. Tried the sausage rolls they were awesome! Light and flaky, soooo tasty. They have a lot to offer in both food and adult beverages. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere laid-back. They offered inside and outdoor seating. Very clean, bathrooms were clean also. There is a good amount of parking too.

The Reuben there has to be one of the best I have had. Not sliced corned beef, but nice and thick slabs of it. Plenty of flavor, while not being overly salty. The bread was nice and toasted and not greasy. The cut fries are also good too. Great service behind the bar too.

Hands down best Irish Spot I have been to in the states. Their happy hour is incredible (50 percent off all drinks. Even top shelf) and their food is phenomenal. They have classic Irish dishes as well as a killer Reuben. Best I have ever had. Sean (bartender) has been here 15 years and is as authentic as it gets. He is great, Accommodating, and fun to be around. The atmosphere is lively and they always have some games on. Best spot in FT lauderdale!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mark the owner who provided us with the table and menus right away This was our first time at this place and we would like to send a shout out to our server Connor, He was very attentive friendly and kept checking on our table making sure we were well taken care of! We ordered fish and chips loaded potato soup in caprese flatbread, The food presentation was amazing, plates were decent size and came out relatively quick Paired with space dust IPAs and Guinness Stout we’re definitely coming back had a great time in a nice place. Great location plenty of parking. The special for Monday was haddock fish and chips which was good perfectly. Breading was crispy not oily and the fish was moist and flaky. The fried clams were excellent as well. Highly recommend for a cozy dinner or a nice pub crawl it fits the bill.

We came here because she wanted Loaded potato soup and it was a new spot for us. The soup was VERY rich and creamy and the Fish and Chios was a hearty portion and the house made tartar was the perfect pairing. They do NOT slouch on the adult beverages so you may need an Uber or Lyft after. We will return, quality food, reasonable pricing, great atmosphere. Ask for Philip, he's excellent!!!

Love the Irish food, Guinness bread, stew, and corned beef. Rubin.all! The workers are great and the place is very cozy and clean. Love to go here. Best Steak plate in FTL This week, a special on a Gyro and chicken casadia. Both are great. Thank you, Shawn! Today, I had the fish & chips. Saundra, my love, had the Reuben. Again, outstanding food and service! Wow! Thank you, Jackie!

Good place for a nice pint. The fish dip and Guinness bread were done well; the Fish 'n Chips were okay, definitely left something to be desired and was also supposed to come with mushy peas but they didn't arrive.

Jewels, Barry and Sean are phenomenal servers. They have gone above and beyond, not only in delivering our food, but in making us feel at home. We just moved from Miami and have to admit, the hospitality at Waxys makes us feel like we already found family in our new neck of the woods. FOOD SUGGESTIONS: - Chicken Tenders and chips - Brussels Sprouts - Juicy Cheeseburger

I had time to kill waiting for a delayed arrival at FLL. I’m sort of glad it was late. My sister, who used to live here, recommended Waxy’s. She was spot on. I I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and a Sheppard’s pie. The beer was, well, beer but the pie was crazy good. I think I cried a little after the last bite.

Would love to go back and have meal! We actually found this great place taking a walk after dinner with Family. We were only in Ft.Lauderdale for the night. But, may plan a return trip just to check out a few places we stumbled across. Staff was fantastic and seemed to work the whole bar area together ❤️ All the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled fantastic! We have spent a lot of time in Irish Pubs over the years. I can say that was quality food going past me. I just wish I wasn't so full at the time. Grabbed a night cap and walked back to our hotel. Till next time Waxy's!

We loved this place. Only 10 minute walk from our hotel, Hyatt Place. We had for appetizers: Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Fried Goat Cheese with marinra sauce and garlic bread. Very tasty! For Mains: Fried Fish and Chips, instead of fries, my spouse had freshly steamed carrots and peas. My entre was: Reuben Sandwich with coleslaw. Excellent meal. Spouse had club soda with lime wedge and I had good fresh brewed Iced tea with lemon wedge. No dessert - we were stuffed. Waitress was excellent!

A truly authentic Irish pub, food and all.lt was packed by 10 am. Soccer game going on, all European customers, deligtefull accents, and a highly charged atmosphere. Very local, regular patrons and friendly as all getout!! The service was superior!!, and now we know what a banger is.

I had one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Really, everything I ordered was delicious: kale salad, mozzarella sticks, and brownie a la mode. Mom had fish and chips and the best bread pudding ever. Everything tasted fresh and the food stayed pretty hot the entire time we ate, which was surprising given the inside temps. The restaurant was cold, so I'll eat outside next time, but the server was nice and brought us an extra candle to try and keep warm. The staff seemed very nice and our server was informative, but was difficult to get in touch with for refills and for our ticket. Over all, great experience. I didn't think I'd enjoy an Irish restaurant so much but the menu looked amazing. Everything exceeded expectations. Waxy's is definitely a gem.

First time I’ve been to this cozy Irish pub. Order the fish and chips. Was a very large portion and took half of it home for lunch the next day. They have specials Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at lunchtime, so check them out if you have not. we ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Filled with fresh fruit. Very friendly service.

Big shout out to Lisa our server! She was fun and did a great job taking care of us. This Irish pub had very good Fish ‘n Chips and Chicken Pot Pie (Large portions). Appears to be a nice local pub, but was super convenient to our hotel (Embassy). Good beers options - something for everyone, tasters for those unsure what they wanted to drink. Overall good experience , good food and beer, great service.

They had corned beef poutine. Not sure if that's really necessary LOL but it was delicious all the same. Very pleasant waiter and awesome music playing.

Awesome atmosphere and even more awesome food! HIGHLY RECOMMEND through bread pudding! It was better than any of the desserts we had on the cruise we had just come off of!

A legendary stop in Ft. Lauderdale so legendary that it's obligatory. A welcoming locals spot filled with friendly characters & if you're lucky, the occasional honorary bookmaker. Great food, cold drinks and specials the beckon one more. The best days turn into nights. Very highly recommended!

By far one of the best Irish pubs I've been to. The environment is always lovely and never once have I had a complaint about their food. Their shepherds pie is definitely my favorite. Very comforting and savory in flavor pairs great with their Kerry gold garlic bread. Their Happy hour also definitely works in your favor as well

The food was average. I was disappointed that the tartar sauce was in a Hienz packet. Also they were out of Smithwicks which was a disappointment for an Irish pub. The waitress was nice but not very attentive

Decent place for happy hour. Select apps are $7, while not large portions they’re decent to nibble on. Beers start at $5 and even Guinness is well priced. They have a patio outside if it gets busy inside. Staff is laid back—-friendly and efficient but not the type to constantly check on you.

Came here to watch a Tottenham-Man U match and I'm glad I did. This is a Man U bar and it was completely packed for the week 2 match. The bartender was quick with the beers and as soon as I finished mine, another pint was already waiting for me. I had the Irish breakfast and it was really good. Two sausages, eggs, blood pudding, soft bread (I think), a couple tomatoes, beans and toast. Can't go wrong with that. Totally with the visit if you're looking to watch some soccer and enjoy a great environment.

They don’t skimp on the liquor and they make their cocktails tasty. The cocktails we purchased were $12, and if you’re from the area you know this is a decent price for a SoFlo Bar. The food is nothing to brag about but it is far from disappointing. It is worth a visit, especially between 4-7PM when they have Happy Hour every night.

Decided to stop in for dinner since we were staying in the hotel across the road for a night. Best decision! The service was excellent, we were given our drinks right away and our food also came quickly. We ordered 2 appetizers since it was happy hour and 2 mains, and everything was fantastic. Best pot pie I have ever had (Guinness beef brisket and mushrooms)! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

This place gives great Irish pub vibes. Huge TV's, tons of Guinness signs & cool, Irish decor. Food-wise, about half good & bad. Good: The Waxy Burger was fantastic. I added cheddar cheese & applewood bacon. Bad: The fish in the Fish n Chips had that obvious previously frozen texture & taste. I'll come back for sure to try other options.

Delicious food, excellent brews and friendly service! Classic Irish Pub atmosphere. My friends and I love the Wednesday lunch special: A half pound burger, fries and a draft beer for only $10! Sean the bartender remembers our favorite beers and how we like our burgers! I highly recommend Waxy's to anyone who enjoys great food and drinks in a relaxing atmosphere.

You seat your self. Had seating inside and out. It was a Saturday and lunch time. It was busy but did find a table right away. Ordered the Guinness brisket. Loved it. Others had the chicken sandwich and chicken pot pie. These were good also. The chips with gravy were very good. The wait staff were very helpful and nice

Our flight got delayed (Spirit) so we ended up staying at the Embassy Suites. We ended up going to this pub across the street. BEST fish and chips I have ever had. 2 big fish fillets fried with jumbo fries. When I come back to Florida will definitely stop by here again.
