The service is good. The ingredients are of quality. We love the dough. The Minestrone soup was great. The first time we went we really enjoyed it. We decided to give it a second try. This time, there was just TOO much fresh garlic on the pizza. It overpowers the flavor to the point that it burns your throat. The tomato sauce was also very garlicky. I visited this restaurant this afternoon to pick up a order that I placed online I walked in and was greeted by the hostess at the front counter and told to go to the back to pick up my food. I’ve been stood at the back counter for approximately five minutes everyone giggled around staff members didn’t even acknowledge my presence as I stood to the side of the counter purposely so that I would be noticed being that I had already paid for my food, and everyone else was placing orders at the counter. I then was greeted by Casey the manager who noticed that I was upset and I told her what happened. She then explained that these people are in line and the line starts here no apologies or anything , she then got the pizzas and to match my upsetting us. She slammed the four pizza boxes down on the counter and walked away. Didn’t even advise me that the food was for me or anything this is very disrespectful she walked away I called and I asked her why she treated me that way . She stated that she was at work and she could not discuss the matter with me and I stated to her that she discriminated against me no one and I repeat no one other than the hostess spoke to me and that is very very disturbing to me and then no apologies instead, a customer is upset about some thing and you get upset with the customer for being upset instead of apologizing customers please be aware of the treatment that you will get here. I am an African-American female and I am certain that’s why I was treated that way.

This is the baked ziti I received. Looking at pictures from just 3 months ago, I can only assume they don’t have the budget for quality food. So glad UberEats refunded me, bland low quality food. Never again.

I haven been going to this restaurant forever. The food is always excellent. The service spotty some days, it's excellent; other days, it's absolutely horrible. Once our waiter brought our food and nobody ever came back to our table. And the manager just stared at us, looking around. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. I finally went up and said something. It was a rare time I left no tip. I actually wrote on the check, "If the service was better, the tip would be bigger," and I didn't even feel bad.

Their small pie is kid size. Their medium is small. Their large is medium. Very good pizza, but they do not advertise the sizes accurately. Medium size pie pictured.

I don't know what been going on, but the last couple of months, the salads haven't been too amazing. The antipasto is eh... there's these two waiters have always been pretty kind named Rachel and Felipe, I believe. go them! but the antipasto... not so many kind words. The two stars are for the service. The missing three shows how bad the salad has been my last three visits.

We dined in. Had the 16" Pizza Margherita with Fresh basil, garlic, Roma Tomatoes, on thin crust and the famous garlic rolls!! Everything was delicious. My mouth is watering at the thought. Very Clean, Family run.

John the Baker has been our favorite pizza place for many years. However, the last three times with ate there the quality of the pizza has been sub-standard. The dough is different and each time we ordered EXTRA cheese it has very little amount for even a regular cheese pizza. During Lent, a cheese pizza was our Friday night dinner. I saw a sign behind the cash register promoting franchises. We will not be returning.

Went there with my mom to meet my oldest son as it is one of his favorite places and now I see why. My mother had the lasagna it was delicious I tried a piece and she enjoyed it, the garlic rolls are huge and the pizza my son and myself split actually had a great taste which many places lack. Looking forward to coming back, the only downfall is I live an hour and a half north,

Super crowded on a Monday night, so it made my expectations high. I ordered carry out. The pizza was okay, nothing mind boggling.

This pizza joint is amazing! Been there 3 times total within one week. The first 2 times I ate their pizza was 💯 But today, on my 3rd attempt, I don’t know what happened! Lol I think there are too many cooks, which can interrupt the consistency of the pizza. Whoever made my pizza today was skimping on the cheese and toppings, leaving me with all bread. Hope they correct the issue, cause I look forward to eating there again.

This place is an institution and there's not much else to say that hasn't been said a thousand times already. Go for the garlic bread, and stick around for the perfectly cooked pizzas and all the unique things you see in a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant -- including the paper place mats from 2003 🤣

Absolutely delicious!!! I used to go to this restaurant when I was younger and growing up in South Florida, I moved away 13 years ago.. Nothing has changed, other than the fact that they now accept credit cards. I tried something I hadn't had before... Short rib Ravioli with pink sauce per the waiters suggestion. Wow, was it good!!!! 🤤 If you're in Pembroke Pines, highly recommend this local low key spot. 👌🏼

We hadn't been here for a while, and everything we had was perfect. I give the pizza 8.5 out of 10, and the reason why is we ordered it extra well done, and it was still soggy in the middle, but the flavors were good. The garlic rolls were perfect.

I have been coming to John the Baker since I was a child. The quality has always been top-notch. The food is delicious. The service is always good. Even though prices have been increasing everywhere and restaurants have been skimping on portion size and/or quality, they have not. They have kept their quality and portion size the same as it has always been. They are one of my favorite restaurants. You always get what you pay for and sometimes more when you go to John the Baker. Highly recommended.

We were greeted by Joann with a smile. Our table was cleaned and setup by Antonio. We had Jessica as our waitress. Jessica is very friendly and personable. Jessica brought freshly baked garlic rolls to our table and the rolls were out of this world. Our food came out in a timely manner, hot and delicious. We love Jessica and the food.

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. The waiters are great and the food is out of this world, especially the pizza!!! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

It was my first time visiting, I ordered a small pizza. The order came out wrong, the cashier apologized and redid the pizza in a timely fashion. I didnt have to wait am extra 30 mins. The pizza was delicious and perfect for one person. Thank you, I will be back again.

Loved the service & sheer "your with family when you're here" attitude of the place. Loved the thin, crispy crust, traditional pizza. Did not like the garlic rolls. While fresh, they're just doused in very fiery fresh minced garlic & olive oil. No herbs were provided at the table. Easy access, free parking, inexpensive.

I ordered a 9" pizza. I t was very good. The dough was thin and crispy which is a nice surprise. It was my first time back at this new location. It is very nice. Thanks for the good service and pizza.

This was my first time here and I am very impressed. My wife wanted some Lasagna so I searched on google and this establishment was on my route home. So, I called in an order for pick up. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and she told me about the daily specials. I ordered some things and she told me I was order number 7 and it would be 15 minutes. I arrived in exactly 15 minutes and walked up to the counter. I told her my number and she began to gather my order. What really impressed me was that she asked me if I needed any utensils, napkins or anything? It is nice to see that they are on the top of their game for take out orders. Arriving home, unboxing and opening everything up, I was very satisfied. The garlic rolls are amazing. Perfect consistency, very tasty. I could probably eat a dozen of these myself in one sitting. I took a chance and ordered John's favorite salad. I am normally a ceasar salad guy however I am glad i did. The salad is awesome. It came with more than enough dressing. Check out the photo I uploaded with this review. The salad is very filling, it could be split between two people. My wife really enjoyed her lasagna so I was happy about that too. All in all this place is definitely worth a visit. I appreciate establishments like this, that take the time to do things right.

The cheese and basil pizza is my favorite. Honestly the best dough in town. I also love how fresh the house salad is. I feel less guilty eating the garlic rolls when I have a fresh salad to go with it.

Our family had not visited this location since they moved . The restaurant looks very nice inside and the food is amazing . My five year old kept saying that he loved the pizza and he is a picky eater. The spaghetti and meat sauce is also very good. The dish looks sloppy when they bring it to the table and it's full of sauce but that makes it more delicious . The rolls were big and had an amazing garlic sauce.

I love John the Baker! Been going there for years and the pizza & garlic rolls are delicious. Today however I went in to pick up take out and the lady attending at the counter was very rude. She believed I was a delivery person and when she realized I was a customer she changed her attitude. I don’t understand why she can’t be respectful to all who walk in to the restaurant...
