Honestly, I don’t understand how the fried chicken is made here but I used to come to Dutch pot very frequently and now I do not, every time I come here the fried chicken is old and dry , I’m not sure if it’s made the night before or left under a warmer for hours on end but it’s never fresh and never edible, this is a problem that needs to be fixed because I went in yesterday and my chicken was in the worst shape I could not eat it and was left with a drumstick (was dry not old) this is honestly ridiculous and embarrassing!!!this is the quality that staff is serving people to eat. Food is not fresh at all!

Love the food variety and reasonable prices but not sure if the cook changed at this location because I haven't been enjoying the food at all these days and things aren't cook well. I found this uncooked piece of meat in my curry chicken meal today. Unacceptable. After posting my previous review maybe a few days later I was contacted by nicky at the HQ of Dutch pot. She handled my concerns very well and even offered a replacement meal to make up for the inconvenience. My new meal was delicious and I have no complaints. Way to go Dutch pot. Another business that really care about there customer experience.

Been eating Dutch Pot for years, the quality of food has declined. Ordered Jerk chicken they didn’t send any jerk sauce, the chicken has no flavor and is barely brown and the plantains are greasy, soggy and gross. I just basically ate some rice and tossed the rest.

I’ve been twice now. And I love it! Food is great. I’ve had the oxtail and curry goat, and I was licking the plate. The portions are HEALTHY. I had the small and saved some for later. I also got a large, and saved some for later, lol. And the best part.. an actual Jamaican restaurant where the employees don’t have an attitude!! They smiled, they joked. I will go back and you should too.

Very rude and unprofessional personnel at the drive-through window. When I asked what was on the daily menu she responded by asking what I wanted as if it was a bother. She listed a menu item that was not on the menu which I ordered only to tell me that it was not available when I had already paid. When I asked for her to refund that item she refunded the whole bill. Then her superior added insult to injury by arguing with me saying that I told her I wanted a full refund when I said refund the item that isn’t available. Horrible customer service! I visit Dutch pot at least once a week for years and this is definitely a turn off.

This place has amazing food! All the food has rich flavor and feels homemade. I would recommend asking for the "lunch special" its a filling portion and it's only $6. You cannot get a better deal for the quality of the food they serve. This has been become one of my favorite places, I highly recomend it!

Dutch Pot is always with a line inside and in the drive-thru because the food is so good! People have no problems with waiting. Best time to pickup food is when they first open and around 2-3pm when a lot of people are picking up their kids from school. Either way, trust me….They are worth the wait and the money.

My husband and I really enjoy food there it's really tasty. That's not the BIGGEST PROBLEM it's the female staff I'm not sure why they're attitudes are so disgusting. Their so rude, unfriendly, disrespectful, you get treated like you're begging for free food. Argue with customers in front of other customers. I definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. They have to do better with these employees working behind the counter at the cash register.

The food is good. However These people take over 40 minutes in the drive-thru. You’re better off going to Donna’s paying a few dollars more and getting your food much faster.

My sister bought 2 stew peas meals today and my goodness, it was the worst. It seems like they took the stew peas soup and throw it on the rice, the stew peas was just draining like water. I had to hurry and remove the so called stew peas from off the rice!! Very disappointed Dutch Pot, you have to do better than that man, nobody cares anymore, no wonder God is fed up with us, we do wicked things to each other thinking God is not watching us. I called the number no one pick up! Very 😔

I have eaten at this place a couple of times (including ordering food to be delivered to me and takeout). The food is always delicious and in hearty portions. This is my go-to for fast-food Jamaican brown stew chicken, rice & peas, etc.

Dutch Pot in Pembroke Pines is hit or miss depending on the day! I'm so disappointed with their services. I recently started working nearby, and decided to get lunch. The mini meals are great but sometimes the food is overcooked and skimpy. Also the customer service is insufficient... I spent over 40 minutes in the drive thru one time, only to get to the order menu and was told that the computer is down and that they are taking CASH ONLY!!! Why allow people to be in line all that time and wait to tell them that at the window???!!! They were unapologetic and the staff lacks customer service skills... it's truly sad because the food can be delicious...the quality of Dutch Pot has gone down, I truly hope something is done... until then, I'm no longer a customer. I drive down the street to another Jamaican restaurant.

Is it our taste buds or just a bad coincident for the same problem at different locations??? The food is TOO SALT, even the peas & rice “what!!” We Caribbeans do not love going to FAST FOODS , which is highly salted , fat & sweet.. therefore it’s a great blessing to have a Dutch Pot & others.. BUT!!! The cookings get to TOO SALT. It’s bad enough your waiting time is off the chain, but yardy becoming something else. Chefs check yourselves man!!

Good Jamaican food for the area. The best location for me. Curry Chicken was good and oxtail was well cooked. Previous reviewers were right on the money with this location. Drive through is crazy long. Some customers do argue with staff causing the lines to stretch (witness twice).

On Sunday, 11-05-23, I went to The Dutch Pot, along with my daughter, Shayla. I was greeted with a Warm and Pleasant Greeting from the Staff. My Curried Chicken, Rice & Peas with Cole Slaw was Fresh, Hot, Tasty, and Well Seasoned. My Side of Macaroni and Cheese was Delicious, Freshly Baked & Scrumptious. It is refreshing to come in contact with a Professional, Courteous Group of Individuals with Excellent Customer Service. 👏👏👏 Cheryl Jones

Great food! Great prices! Every location I visit I’m never disappointed with food. However there is one particular individual who make the serving process very uncomfortable. The light skinned guy with green eyes is very rude every visit. He likes to make his own rules….. For example every Dutch pot location serves plantains with every mini meal. But for some reason when he is serves me I have to pay extra for plantain. I understand that Dutch pot is a franchise and that each place may have different rules. But it seems a little wild I get charged for a side of plantains, when I’m only getting two very small pieces.

I love your food, really love your food. Only 4-stars because I used to LOVE the curry chicken, but lately it is not the same. No offense to the chef. Otherwise, GREAT, GREAT FOOD!

I was loving this restaurant until I decided to use them for Christmas eve dinner. I bought some curried goat and rice and peas. NOBODY ate any of the goat. I mean NOBODY. The goat was so so salty. I mean like taste it and spit it out immediately salty. I tried to eat it so it wouldn't go to waste and I just couldn't. Waste of money. I had to throw out the whole thing. Very disappointed. Do you not taste what you cook? Esp since its not just a little box its a whole pan. Just happy I didn't order the other meats from here.

Food is freshly cooked, consistently! I wish they would reduce the amount of salt used and instead use more seasoning. My restaurant still.

It was Amazing today. The older Man serving me was Really Great. He filled my container so much it was hard to close it. Rice with beans, Island cole slaw and Brown Stewed chicken, get brown sauce all over. What a meal! This location is usually packed and the drive up line goes out onto Pines Blvd. Find a parking if you can and go inside. It's worth it! Eat in it take out. Home made food, hot and ready to go. Lots of choices, different size containers and plenty of additions like Jamaican patties and cakes. You're on the Island 'mon! Just Awesome!

Had the peanut porridge. Delicious. Really do not buy Jamaican food as I cook my own but their curried goat and oxtail is great. The young man from St. Elizabeth that took the order was so pleasant and the cashier was just as awesome. Totally enjoyed my visit and food. Pines Blvd location.

I ordered the mac and cheese in the drive- thru. When I arrived, the drive-thru wasn't that crowded. However, it took quite some time for me to finally reach the drive-thu window. The girl at the window was pleasant enough. When I got the mac and cheese home, it looked absolutely delicious, and I couldn't wait to dig in. What a letdown! It lacked flavor. I was very disappointed😞. I ordered this dish last year, and it tasted good. Not sure if they changed the recipe, but it wasn't tasty. I won't order again

Visiting from NYC and have been having the HARDEST time trying to find good West Indian food in Miami, stumbled across this spot and decided to order in via Ubereats. Portions were pretty decent for the price but my bbq chicken was dry, way over cooked and man talk about salty! My taste buds were in a full on war with the saltiness from the oxtail and rice and the super sweet plantains. I really wish the food wasn’t so salty! Everything i had was way too over salted. ***Oxtail and rice, bbq chicken & mac and cheese

Best Jamaican restaurant in town for for quick casual dinning! I recommend the jerk and the curry chicken! The rice and pea are great! The large is enough to feed two or three people! Well worth eating here if you’re looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine!

Delicious food. Catered for 15 adults for lunch with only a day's notice. The staff had the food ready without any waiting. The aluminum pans were labeled for easy checkout & set up. Everyone had a plate full and all went back for seconds. The young men had thirds! Praise to the chef(s), the food was so juicy and tasty that one guest who didn't like Jamaican food due to overcooked food from other restaurants, was pleasantly surprised and he too had seconds. The only things I would change in my order would be a smaller pan of rice & vegetables & more plantains(perfectly cooked). I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to cater authentic and delicious Jamacian food. Here's what was ordered... Large pan of rice and peas, 10 lbs of oxtail(2 half pans), 5lbs of brown stew chicken(filled half pan), 5 lbs of curry chicken(filled half pan), 5 lbs of jerk chicken (filled half pan), half pan of steam vegetables(had 1/2 left over), plantains(45 pieces, 3 each)

4 PM and the staff seem very tired and no enthusiasm while serving you, they were out of a couple of items. They also give away too much rice rather than protein. It would also be nice to have more than one vegetable option. I will say it is very good comfort food.

My friend, Asia, told me about this place and thank goodness she did! You cannot beat their all day, every day, “mini” Brown Stewed Chicken for $6 meal. for me, this is the perfect amount of food! It’s always hot, not over or undercooked and delicious.

Only because zero is not an option. I ordered a large soup and brown stew chicken got home to find one large cup of oily chicken water with two dumpling and one potato floating around and a curry chicken. Not what I ordered and this was 11:30 in the morning. You won’t see me again Dutch pot!

I give it 3 out of 5 even though this place is always packed regardless of the time that you go so people definitely like eating here. I got a jerk chicken meal and it was pretty dry the rice and chicken. My wife got the oxtail and she said it was amazing so for her it was 5/5. The Mac n cheese is really good I forgot to add. I will try again and see if my rating will change.

I come in here EVERY DAY and ask for a mix of steam cabbage and coleslaw and it’s never been a problem yet today I ask for it “you’re not supposed to do that”. I Tell the lady that I get it all the time and there’s obviously a miscommunication amongst them. She just serves the cabbage as if there isn’t a problem. Just absolutely brainless. Basic customer service would be to accommodate the request now and set the expectation going forward. Instead, you’ll never see me again.
