Food was pretty good and the octopus was very tender and not chewy. I just wish the customer service was better.

This was our first time trying this place We visited due to the reviews. We went on Sunday afternoon to try it out.First the positive the young ladies were polite however I found lacking in service. We ordered an appetizer the mofongo del Valle I think that is what it was which was covered in alfredo sauce not freshly made but seemed from a jar. Had to ask for the appetizer plate. I asked for a beer which was only available in a bottle that was brought to the table without a glass, so I had to ask for the glass. Having hospitality back ground I can see that they are lacking in the service knowledge to service the customer at no fault of their own. Out of courtesy gave it the 2 stars rating.

This was my first time at Tribeca,and to tell you the truth I had the best time. Love the upbeat music and the service. My waiter Victoria was super attentive and made me feel welcomed! The food was delicious I had the churrasco it was delicious. Their strawberry mojito was just as good . I will definitely go back.

Based on the reviews I wanted to see what all the raves were about. This joint is fairly new in the area. We went around 1:30pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty. The server was attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken carbonara pasta. The he portion was perfect, very fulfilling. It's on the pricey side but affordable. My food cost $19 my husband ordered the fried fish, which was pretty big for $30 came with sides. The food took a little long but can out hot. We both enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going again.

I had the Caribbean oxtail with white rice beans the food was delicious. The oxtail were well seasoned and soft. Will come here again.

Very bad ambience for what is advertised as a restaurant, it’s more like a club. Staff and other customers have no respect. When we walked in and heard the loud music, we were about to leave but the hostess then offered to seat us outside where we found it quite pleasant. Within 10 minutes new customers showed up outside with board games and brought their own portable music. I overheard the waitress tell two arriving customers to wait just a bit that we (she even pointed in our direction) would be leaving soon, and we had just received our food only a minute earlier! While we tried to enjoy the food at least (have to say that the food itself was not bad) the other customers were blowing cigar smoke and one even threw a lit cigarette in our direction. Impossible to eat, we asked for to-go boxes to finish the meal at home. There was no effort to apologize whatsoever. Check and tip would’ve been much higher had we been allowed to enjoy our dinner. We will not return and will recommend strongly against the place to anyone who may ask about it.

My first time there was this Saturday , my husband and I had a great time. Great variation of music 🎵. ..they played a bit of everything and the sound system was fantastic. Great atmosphere and service. Also, a big plus for me is A/C felt nice and cool. The ladies room was very clean too. Next time we go back we are going to try the food.

Very loud music not the typical restaurant to eat and have a conversation. Food is disastrous, taste like they use an old oil to fry. Drinks warm. And the staff is not at all excited to be here. Please avoid this place no matter how hungry you are.

This time, I was apart of a team that hosted a retirement dinner for a coworker. We made plans with Racquel, a manager, and she was very accommodating. She made sure we had the food we wanted for our group, the music the retiree liked and a variety of appetizers. She opened up for us an hour early and had us in a section all to ourselves. We dined and talked and laughed and enjoyed each other. The staff took care of us and we wanted for nothing. The sangria was so good!

I'm a little perplexed by some of the other reviews referencing the bad service. To me, it has been the opposite. I come here often and I have always received excellent service. The owner understands and drives a positive service environment. The food is delicious and it's a great ambience.

Went here one night with my bf for a quick drink before an event and the music was definitely loud but I liked the vibe. The bartender was attentive and made good drinks. I was definitely nearing drunk state after 2 cocktails. Will come back

I have seen this venue advertised for a few years , yet I never made the time to visit it. I must say it was absolutely superb service, ambiance, and background music by los Pascuals. Will be coming back again and again.

Had a great time. From the very personal Service to the fact that I felt the place was there for just the few people there this evening. Delicious food, good drinks, good music and such of a laid back atmosphere, absolutely Loved it!!!! Highly recommended to anyone in the area without having to drive far.

I continue to have bad experiences in Dominican spots, I think they just don't know how to manage events. Today I got kicked out with a party of 11 and saw at least 5 couples turned away because of an event. Management needs to do a better job explaining events. Also, service is not very good. A lot of work to do in the service department. In my opinion, these businesses don't care about service or even making money. It's more of what goes on behind the scenes so I will not be going back to this spot. I like legit spots.

Hubby and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I can truly say that I will never go back. First, the service was horrible. The hostess sat us down and the waitress didn't come to check on us until 20 minutes later. We ordered a bucket of beer, a chicharron appetizer, and a glass of water with lemon. We got the beer and placed our dinner order. Hubby got the Mar y Tierra for $35, mom got the pargo a la criolla for $25, and I got the chimi sliders for $16. The chicharron appetizer came out and was placed on our table. We had NO silverware and no plates. Meanwhile the waitress was MIA. I had to get up from my table to go look for her to ask for silverware and napkins. After a while we got our food order. I had to ask for the water again since she had forgotten about it. The Mar y Tierra was very good. It was the best meal of the night. My mom's fish was a joke. She didn't even get a whole fillet. It was broken into pieces. The flavor was also very fishy. I wanted to send it back but she refused as she was afraid of retaliation from the kitchen. The mofongo was also very dry and was not served with a broth to dip it into. Ughhh After almost 20 minutes my sliders finally came out (just as I was about to cancel them). The sliders were horrible. The meat was overcooked and did not taste good. The toston portion was drenched in oil, as is the oil they were cooked in was not hot enough. Overall this restaurant experience was negative for me, aside from the Mar & Tierra, which I say again was very good. The service was slow and inattentive. Plus, the restaurant itself was so noisy. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

First off the drinks are way too expensive! $12 for a rum and coke give me a break! Pork chunks were fried so hard you couldn't chew them. The Spanish music was so loud we had to holler at each other across the table! The waitress we had did not speak English! This is America and everybody should be speaking American English! She had to get another waitress to interpret what we wanted. Will not go back to this place, too expensive for two people! 👎👎

The food was good and prices are not bad, but the service was horrible. Our server never came up to us to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. Definitely not a place that I would like to go back.

The chef of that place is absolutely excellent. The seasoning…ahhh….one of a kind place. Prices are affordable. Shows are loud, but fun (wear ear plugs 👍🏻). Highly recommended.

The food was good, the service was ok. Beware of the automatic 20% gratuity fee they charge. It was explained to us that it’s more of a service fee shared amongst all staff, only after the 20% cash tip was already given to our waitress. So we essentially tipped 20% twice. Probably will steer clear from that place for that deceptive practice.

I visited on a week day for an industry event and the place got packed as the night went on. They staff seemed overwhelmed, but were managing quite well under the circumstances. I ordered shrimp pasta and it was tasty. My blueberry lemon drop was delicious. Nice atmosphere with a comfy outdoor area. Will return.

Went to this restaurant fairly early in the evening so it was quiet, no live music. We ordered a bunch of appetizers so we could sample lots of items- We were so happy we did - Interesting flavors and textures- Great happy hour drinks too! Not many good restaurants near our hotel so decided to give this unknown place a try. We didn’t expect much so were happy to get great service, a full bar, and we loved the food we ordered. I recommend you give this place a try.

This establishment is very nice with attentive and helpful staff. Food was very tasty and alcoholic drinks worth the price. Only downer was loud mic feedback and squeaks as band was setting up.

First time trying this restaurant and was impressed by the pictures of the plantain crusted salmon. I also decided to try the shrimp macaroni and cheese.. However, when I opened the meal I was disappointed since it didn't appear as pics. It seem like it was missing the plantain. Gonna give them a second try though. First 2 pics is what I got. Last 2 is what inspired my order.

Not the best place to come and eat. Chair was wobbly and warned the server, to watch it out, so no one could fall. Food :we asked something Dominican, mofongo, but it was extra dry. The worse was the piña colada, or watery piña colada, first no alcohol, send it back to the " bar tender" and came the same, she should go and taste the ones in Bahama breeze. Music was good( at least something positive). If I will recommend it to a friend?? NOPE. Our server was Catherine, she was ok, she offer a dessert on the house, but we declined the offer, we didn't wanted more surprises.

Omg. Loved this place is huge. The food was great. The service was amazing tell Jessica and Maria Jose I sent you. I heard weekends is really busy like a big party. It also has a huge bar. I cant wait to go back
