We had the opportunity to see the first full moon of the decade. It is a small space, but a very nice experience. The people from the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association are super nice and eager to share their knowledge and their private telescopes. You have to be a bit patient because there is a line to use each telescope, but is not crazy time... It is part of the experience.

The volunteers are so friendly and informative! The telescopes they use are phenomenal. This is a great place to bring the whole family on Saturday nights after dark. Make sure you put on bug repelant. But it is an amazing experience to see and learn so much from these knowledgeable folks. We try to get out here as much as time permits and when skies are clear.

I visited this place on December 23, 2023, with family and some friends. When I excitedly asked whether we were looking at a star or a planet, an older man, Steve Luxenberg, who was by the telescope, replied sarcastically, "A planet, Jupiter! You know Jupiter, right? Do you even know your planets? If not, we might need to call your 4th grade math teacher!" I was taken aback by his tone, especially as he said this in front of my wife, friend, and others. I noticed he was rude to us but polite to others. He's consistently snarky and sarcastic on my visits. He really needs to learn how to be respectful. The experience was terrible.

Got to see Jupiter and it's moons tonight. What an interesting place. Lots of amateur astronomers on site setting up their personal telescopes.

We enjoyed visiting Saturday night. Even though the evening was overcast, they still opened up to answer questions. Eventually they brought out a telescope and we saw Saturn. Summer isn’t the best time to visit - humidity and clouds obscure the view. I look forward to returning in the winter. The visit is free but donations are suggested since they are a nonprofit group.

I can’t believe this place actually exist. You can come here at night and use their telescopes to look at the stars. They are highly informed on astronomy and supper nice! Would recommend for all and those who love the night sky 🌌

They have 2 large telescopes inside and 2 medium size ones outside. The one outside has an app you can download on your phone and it will send you the pictures it takes. Super helpful crew of volunteers ready to answer questions. Kids loved it.

Great place. Beautiful. Make sure to cover your legs if you go in the summer because the mosquitos will be out! I brought someone here as a surprised and she loved it so fyi it's a great date idea if you catch the sky at the good time.

Awesome to have this very accessable observatory in our back yard. Super knowledgeable and nice people part of this location. It's busier than I would expect. Wow, a little bit like a concert / party atmosphere when we arrived.

Telescopes they share are out of this world!!! Staff is super friendly, their willingness to share their knowledge with the public makes for a truly unforgettable experience. We will absolutely be back as much as possible. So worth the 3 hour trip!!
