My
friend
wanted
to
visit
the
Venetian
Pool
for
her
birthday,
so
off
we
went,
two
locals
who
had
not
before
visited
this
lovely
place!
What
an
historic
and
beautiful
pool
for
locals
and
visitors,
alike.
We
went
on
a
weekday,
low
season,
dodging
a
bit
of
rain,
but
it
didn’t
matter.
The
grounds
are
lovely,
the
pool
water
is
cool
and
refreshing
with
varying
depths
for
serious
swimmers
like
us,
and
those
who
just
wish
to
enjoy
some
fun
in
the
water.
The
lush
tropical
surroundings
add
to
the
ambiance.
There
are
lifeguards
on
duty,
and
some
chairs
and
benches
around
the
perimeter
of
the
pool.
We
opted
to
pay
the
$7
for
a
lounge
chair.
Ladies
Room,
showers
and
dressing
areas
are
spotlessly
clean.
There
are
lockers
if
you
prefer,
but
we
just
took
our
bags
poolside.
There
are
areas
to
picnic
outdoors
and
also
lovely
wrought
iron
tables
and
chairs
on
the
veranda.
We
parked
easily
and
adjacent
to
the
facility.
Front
desk
personnel
were
welcoming,
friendly
and
helpful.
The
admission
is
$21,
but
it
was
less
due
to
the
time
of
year,
September.
As
you
enter,
inside
you
will
find
a
fountain
and
on
the
surrounding
walls
photos
of
swimmers
in
their
fashionable
swimwear
across
the
decades.
It’s
interesting
to
view
the
historical
time
line
of
this
place
since
1924!
We
grabbed
cheeseburgers
and
sodas
from
the
small,
but
efficient
and
pleasant
cafe.
A
beautiful
day,
indeed,
and
a
place
to
add
to
your
things
to
do
when
you
are
in
South
Florida
or
even
if
you
live
here,
like
us!
