just had big issue again with the ticket of the final show of my daughter ... terrible customer service terrible attitude on the phone. I paid and never receive my ticket. and they can not find anything... horrible service. and they were happy to tell me that if I don t have ticket in my hand i can not see my daugter dancing for the final show.... they treat you like "sh....t". some of the teachers are good but everything around is a disaster. I will not recommand this school . It was maybe good in the past but now stay away plus there is no parking a nightmare. Update may 29 : I talk with the director , and she was aware about this issue other people were complaining about the rudeness of the team , like my situation... and they also loose ticket!!!

Miami city ballet in Miami Beach is a gift. This small city is lucky to have a center dedicated to the arts. Seeing as how the beach is mostly populated with hotels restaurants and apt buildings. The parking in the area isn’t easy but neither is ballet.

I give it three stars. Not for the teachers or the academy, but for the administration. Classes are huge! 20+ kids per class with one teacher. Sometimes they have help from other older students and sometimes they don’t. As a recommendation I am hesitant. They will cancel classes and not make them up on another day. Classes missed because of hurricanes will not be made up. With the missed classes this year, each class of 45 minutes cost almost $40 a class. There are no refunds or adjustments either. During spring break and winter break of public schools, there are no classes either. I wish they would honor the amount of classes they said they would give. After paying $800+ the parents have to also pay to see their children during the end of the year recital. At least they let the kids borrow a tutu to wear during the show. Teachers are awesome and are working with what they are being given, but they look stressed. I would change some policies to make their system work more effectively. By the time the teachers are done taking attendance and getting the girls in line, the class went to 35 minutes of class. Do the math almost $40 a class for 35 minutes of actual instruction 🤔 UPDATE: recital tickets were sold out. Some parents that waited a week before to buy their tickets have no way of seeing their children dance now. Teachers are trying to help those parents, but again administration of this school is TERRIBLE!

One of the best ballets this side of the Mississippi river. Honestly, if it wasn't for the unbelievably talented and slightly overlooked head of staff (and what seemed to be the entire ballet) Jessica Bork this place wouldn't exist. My family and company will be returning most definitely to this grand ballet as miss Bork has made it, an unforgettable event.

As one of the top three companies in the country, Miami City Ballet is a splendor beyond words and a must see for everyone. Amazing dancers... great people... the best artistic team and teachers anywhere. True poets of gesture.

I spent $330 for tickets to the Nutcracker and we showed up at the "Miami City Ballet" only to find out that they were actually 2 hours away in West Palm Beach and not in Miami at the "Miami City Ballet." I looked at the receipt and in the smallest finest print on the receipt it said "Kravis Center." What a waste and disappointment for everyone, especially our 5 yo.

They charged us for a full adult ticket for a 7 month old baby. Disgusting money grabbing policies

Very effective training, you have to invite Sergeï Polunin to Miami, and not do like the Paris Opera

This is not simply one of the most talented companies in the country, from its artistic director Lourdes Lopez, to its corp de ballet, it is recognized Internationally as one of the best ballet companies in the world. (With one of the best ballet schools in the world.) And to confirm what I've just said, recently there was a Balanchine festival at City Center in New York City. Miami City Ballet, founded by Toby Lerner Ansin in 1985, was invited along with the Kirov, the Paris, The Royal Ballet, New York City Ballet, and the San Francisco Ballet. They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep. The same goes for ballet companies. Remember the advertising for Lay's potato chiP? Betcha can't eat one? See one of their performances, and betcha can't stop with one.

I do not typically write reviews, but I feel obliged. My family attended the Nutcracker at The Kravis Center in Palm Beach on Dec. 30, 2023 and I have to say it was the BEST performance of the Nutcracker I have ever seen. I did see the Nutcracker in NYC when I was a child but I do not remember the performance being this spectacular. Accolades go to the dancers, choreographers, and the orchestra and the conductor. They all had to take many bows and we all stood in awe. My twin boys who are 10 years old said it was awesome! and were quiet for the entire performance :0) GREAT JOB!

Loved the October 25 matinee performance of Romeo & Juliet. Carlos and Jennifer were tremendous! I have been a fan of theirs for several years. Looking forward to seeing them again. And the orchestra was wonderful! ! Rex
