Manager or whoever is in charge of pricing and cashiering has the NASTIEST attitude when confronted about prices being the same as brand new and in store. I was interested in purchasing one of their zara DONATED sweaters and he had the audacity to tell me I had to pay full price unless I found something wrong with it. Seriously charging full price for a donated item!?!? Get your head out of the gutter, and hire a new manager and staff who actually want to help the community instead of robbing them for money and profit. This is a DONATION AND SECOND HAD STORE. They should prioritize cleaning the store and getting rid of it’s musty smell and deeply cleaning the carpet instead of raising the prices to be the same as in store. After reading other comments where others have complained about the same thing it’s surprising to see they haven’t hired new people. Stick to the one on bird road, manager and staff are the sweetest, plus store cleanliness is waaaay better.

They have an area for bracelets and necklaces, at 2$ a piece and some are so cute. Store is fairly well organized and the prices are good. My husband picked out pants for work (they get messed up fast since he works as a cook) some t-shirts, the total was $14!!! We did go on a Wednesday, I do believe they have a special on that day. They also have a ton of books, if you are a book lover like me. Staff is friendly. As any consignment shop, you need time to browse if you are looking for a unique item or brand name clothes at a fraction of the cost. I got a leather purse, brand new, with all the tags still on for a few bucks. The picture shows just two of the 4 bracelets I got. Go check it out.

I've been going for many years, recently I went in a Saturday per usual & after ringing up my things, I looked @ the cashiers & asked why so much isn't it 1/2 price 50% off Saturday's. He said they stopped doing it! Without any explanation! 🙄

I have been to multiple thrift stores and so far this has been the worst one. Nothing is organized, you can find lingerie, kids, baby’s clothes, woman’s clothes all together. Employees are okay, but the whole place looks terrible. At least 30% of the clothes are stained or completely ripped, not a little whole, no, every item that is damaged it looks like a destroyed cleaning rag. The whole place smells bad and it’s dusty, I had to leave because I was sneezing too much, and prices are too high to be a thrift store and for the quality of the clothes.

Best thrift store in town to get furniture. Great prices for the most part. Come wednesdays and Saturday’s for 50% off clothing and household items. Household item selection is relatively weak considering the location, but clothing selection is amazing. Staff is great also.

This is a great place to find a variety of goods for any common household. You can purchase everything from clothes, furniture, books, shoes, dvd's, etc. with quality and the comfort of knowing you are contributing to a worthwhile cause. Most of the proceeds from sales help individuals that are residing in the Salvation Army's treatment & rehabilitation program. As long as you take your time searching, you can discover some absolute bargains on some high end clothing articles. Here's a tidbit from me : go shopping on Thursday & Saturday and the clothing items are 50% off! The staff is great and is willing to go the extra distance to make sure you are satisfied. Whenever you are in Wynwood, make sure to stop by. Tell them Jay sent you. Great deals! JE.

No good deed goes unpunished. Don’t bother calling for a pick up. I’m moving cross-country and needed to donate a brand new mattress and bed frame, along with household items, electronics, gently used clothes and shoes. They called me on the day of scheduled pick up and said they couldn’t pick up anything from the second floor…. Everything needs to be downstairs. Fine. I managed to move everything downstairs (even with my bad back). They didn’t show in the timeframe given. I called and the guy says they’ll be there in an hour. They never showed.

I was pleased with my experience at the Salvation Army Family. Everyone I came across for help stop what they were doing and helped or found someone who could help me. The prices were good.

Two weeks ago, I scheduled a pick-up for Saturday. The Friday before the pick-up, they call to tell me that they are not open on Saturdays and cannot pick-up for another two weeks. If you cannot pick-up on Saturdays, your system should not allow pick-up appointments to be made on Saturdays. Why is it so difficult to donate?

If I could rate them less than 1 I would. I scheduled a pickup for a literally new washer and dryer only used for a few months that could have helped a family big time. They call me the day before and tell me they couldn’t pick it up because I had no elevator. The movers brought them Using just one guy. Next time put that policy in the website. Don’t waste peoples time and don’t be rude the guy who called was beyond rude. Stay away find someone in the community to help on your own as Salvation Army only help themselves like my daddy used to say.

I love this store! The staff are really awesome. They keep the store super organized and are very helpful. Plus is that they play great music there. And it's across the street from the Arts High School so at certain times it's full of artistic high schoolers looking for cool clothes. It has a great selection that's constantly changing of both closed and household goods.

The man in the store was very rude. We walked into the store at 9:30 when google said it will be open. When we got inside the man said how many times do I have to tell you that we are not open. This was our first time in the store. I said what time do you open. H said I told you 10 this is the first time he say me. He was so RUDE for no reason. This store is usually great but he is not.

I went into the store for the first time, passing by before heading to work. The store is big and just by skimming through i can see they have good variety of shoes and clothes,i found myself a cute backpack for $5.00! Daniel a tall mid 50's gentleman assisted me,he was very noce amd reassured me of the technical problem they had with the debit card P.O.S he got it resolved and continued to help me. I recommend coming to wynwood side of town and visit the salvation army "Family store". The staff is so friendly!

Always a wonderful experience, all the men there are kind, helpful, supportive and act as leaders to others. It is always a great visit for many different reasons! 😊

The staff was helpful doing what they told considering it being a program, the prices were reasonable.but.the store could use a new dew.. considering the vibe of the neighborhood.minus out the Rescue Mission mess around the corner created by Marilyn brummer and her staffing

Is a thrift store. Sometimes good. Sometimes not. I've found some great stupid here but you have to visit often.

This place has a little bit of everything and the prices are great. I also was greeted by almost all of the staff. Definitely enjoyed my time shopping here.

I showed up with a truck full of furniture and the manager was very helpful and resourceful unloading the truck and collecting everything in record time.

Came here this afternoon around 1 o’clock to drop off a few small bags of donations. As I have never been here before I went to the wrong entrance. So the guy who I’m sure is the same guy in a lot of the bad reviews for this place, was really rude. He kept going on and on about how this is not the right entrance. Then when I said for the fourth time I’m sorry next time I will go to the other side, he said I bet you will! He was so rude and ungrateful of my donations. I will most definitely not come back here again.

The Salvation army family store is staffed by people of questionable work ethic . We have never had a problem here before but lately things have seemed to change . Maybe the pandemic has thinned out the job pool . This is the parking attendant in the photo . He spoke to me with out changing position . Pleasantly and with no bad tone reminded me that the parking lot was for Salvation army patrons . We wonder how good the manager of this store is allowing anyone in the public to see this regard for a job. If this type of work place behavior is accepted by the manger ( s) in plain sight of the public outside , what happens in the back sections of the store ?
