This place is falling and FAST! On Friday August 26th. I came in the ER for chronic pelvic pain. They ordered tests and supposedly were clear. I immediately told the doctor that was assisting me to run other tests because that pain was excruciating and is coming from something. She walked out. I waited then walked up to the desk to speak to he floor manager. CYNTHIA came in and I was explaining the situation and told her if this is the wrong diagnosis that I would sue the hospital. She said “I don’t care” SHE WAS VERY SNIPPY AND OF COURSE AS SHE SAID DID NOR CARE. (At least she was honest) She began to take Off my IV. No proper dismissal! No vitals were taken, no follow ups no medications were mentioned . She just took off my IV and walked me to where they had the medical records. She did NOT discharged me properly. Never even received a proper diagnosis. But on MYCHART THEY LIED AND SAID THEY SPOKE TO ME BEFORE LEAVING AND TOLD ME WHO TO FOLLOW UP WITH ETC All lies! It was all recorded on camera. If they lied about that I can only imagine what else they lie about. And that’s long story short.Stay away from this place . The nurses here CLEARLY ARE MISERABLE! and they will take it out on you. In conclusion I was miss diagnosed just as I thought. Is also all on paper.

Did a review a couple of weeks ago of the amazing people who took great care of me at the ER. All were professional, extremely friendly and comforting. I received A+ care and probably won’t go to any other ER. Update: just got a bill from my ER visit. Insurance didn’t cover everything. Figured I’d give a call to see if I could get some assistance or reduction of the remaining bill. After speaking to a pleasant woman in the billing department, Maria, I was informed that the remainder of my bill would be written off. What a pleasant experience! So nice to come in contact with so many great people who obviously love what they do.😊

My mother was admitted at Memorial West going on for a month. Now, her doctors have been amazing, however, CNA and Nurses have been very neglecting. My mother is bed bound and needs assistance. Every time she calls for help to use the bathroom, they have her waiting for almost an hour every time. Even when she accidentally goes on herself they have her waiting for long periods of time for someone to come and clean her. I have been on face time with her and have witnessed this and when finally someone comes in, all they say is that there are busy with other patients. She was almost given the wrong medication. What’s worst is that the nurse was giving her attitude when my mom questioned her. When the nurse finally realized that it wasn’t for her, all she said was “Oh, this is for another patient” and left. My mother is even scared to ask for a cup of water because every time she tries to speak up they retaliate by making her wait for anything she needs. At this point, this is abuse of power. I am writing this because no one deserves to be treated like this. No one is there to advocate for my mother so I am force to leave this review. Memorial has always been our “go to” for years but recently has been a nightmare. Never did we encounter such treatment. My mother have CNAs right outside her door complaining about only getting paid $16 dollars an hour to take care of more than 30 patients. They intentionally hide out and ignore their patients for hours while they sit in their own soil. Memorial Healthcare system, this is unacceptable. Please do something about this. Our families do not deserve such treatment.

The ER doctors are amazing here. They get you in and out. The do thorough checks. I have taken my children here as well. Pleasurable visits. If you have to call the main number in the morning the receptionist is the rudest I have ever come across though. If you can avoid calling early. Maybe she can't work this early! Other than that, love this hospital.

I have been here for the last three weeks as a patient who came in on the verge of death. If it wasn't for the staff in ICU, the nursing staff in 6th central and the staff that I am currently with in Encology I wouldn't have been able to get through it all. I am currently still receiving treatment for my illness but the staff has been phenomenal up to date. I had one issue with an ICU nurse but the manager on duty handled her swiftly and professionally. The ER team definitely needs work as they slaughtered my arms trying to find a vein and the instructing nurse just walked away from them. Other than those two incidents my stay here has been comfortable and pleasant. I was scared in the beginning but I have all faith that this team will help me with the rest of my stay here. I thank all of my nurses for being awesome, the food isn't bad either. I WILL STATE THAT THIS HOSPITAL STAFF DESERVES BETTER COFFEE!

My mother is a stage four cancer patient, on several occasions we've had to wait hours in the ER to get a room. Once in the room the treatment from the medical staff is incredibly hit or miss, and the doctors don't even communicate their intentions to us, leaving treatment as a total mystery. Our questions regarding pain management and quality of life have been totally ignored, disregarding the MULTIPLE issues we've had where nurses haven't reported important details, along with the fact that at one point a doctor told us she had weeks to live and then another doctor the day after told us the complete opposite. On several occasions they have rushed to discharge her without taking the necessary precautions so that she will have an acceptable level of care at home as well, letting us know in the morning without giving time to prepare and make sure that everything is ready for her at home, including medications, home health, medical equipment etc. This hospital does not take its care seriously and you should only come here if you want sub par care for your family members, the fact that they want to open a cancer center when their standard of care is this low should be a big red flag. There are other hospitals that actually understand the disease and are interested in treating it, not the optics of the prestige of a cancer center

If I could give this hospital ZERO stars I would. Absolutely the worst care I have ever encountered. Straight from the ER, to the floor nurses - treated with absolute disrespect. Do NOT go to this hospital if you want proper care. Very unfortunate the only way my mother got the proper treatment was by having a neurologist I work with call Memorials West neuro service. I do not recommend this hospital, and would never want a family to go through what I had to with them.

The absolute worst hospital experience I have ever encountered. Incompetent staff who have zero business caring for peoples health. There is no communication between doctors and nurses which causes massive delays and frustrated patients who are already suffering. If you or your loved one are in need of care please stay far away from this place. I have had the utmost respect for medical staff during these times, but almost everyone who “cared” for me during my stay are jokes.

Best labor and delivery team! Nurse Ruby was so welcoming and sweet before shift change. Nurse Victoria did an outstanding job making me feel as comfortable as possible and even introduced me to the peanut ball to make sure the labor was progressing. Nurse Victoria was also very attentive and made sure I was taken care of when my pain started progressing. When I went to the postpartum floor nurse Angelica and Sherri were by far the sweetest. I also want to mention how sweet the lactation specialist was. She gave me amazing advice and said I was doing a great job. Overall I had a great stay and felt so welcomed. Thank you all for taking care of me and my son Matthew 😊

My elderly mother was taken by ambulance last night. I had to go through the main entrance and wait in the main waiting room until they had her settled. The waiting room was littered with trash with hardly anyone there at that time. I had to explain to the nurses that my mother is elderly and gets nervous while alone and was finally able to go back and stay with my mother. She asked for a pillow and was told that there were none available. At 4:30 a.m. they told us that she was being admitted and they were just waiting for a room. I told her I would come home for a few hours to sleep and would be back. I just called and was told she’s still in the ER and there are no beds available and there are people who have been waiting longer. I should have taken her to Cleveland Clinic, but didn’t have a choice as she was taken by ambulance. Lesson learned. I do want to add that her doctor and nurse over night were wonderful and I feel bad that they working at a facility that’s unable to support them professionally. This is now my third bad experience with this hospital in a row within 5 years. I’m off to the ER where I can hopefully request them to find another facility for her because I have ZERO faith in this facility..again.

I completely understand the horrible reviews because if i could give them a zero i would... It's completely mind blowing to me how waiting time can be 5+ hours especially when it's an EMERGENCY ROOM. When you ask the staff how much longer or how many patients are ahead they answer with hostility or as if they're simply annoyed ...For this i would've subsided my pain with some ibuprofen and taken myself to my general DR .. the next day and avoided the time to wait to be seen. The staff disregards the level of pain everyone is in. This is and was ridiculous.

Everyone was wonderful!!! Very attentive. RN Tim from the ER was excellent and his co worker also. They brought me lunch and were very attentive Dr. Rose was awesome!! I was weak and dizzy and he gave me a transfusion, If it wasn’t for that transfusion, I wouldn’t be at work right now. The Nurses from 4 West were very good too. Thank you Memorial staff for all you do!!! ❤️

I highly recommend Memorial West hospital for their emergency room and overall medical care. My mother was admitted to the emergency room in the evening, and she was attended right away with all her needs. The hospital staff is amazing, their response time ,and care is very well appreciated and needed. I like to a highly recognized nurse Andy in the ER for going above and beyond with my mother’s care. He would come in and check on us to see if we needed anything. He placed her blanket on her at night, and made sure she was well fed. The little things go along way! He has a natural way of making a hospital feel like home with his humor, genuine care, and very positive Spirit! Thank you Memorial West for a safe and recovered experience! I posted a happy picture of us!

Stay away from the imagery department located in the medical building on the third floor, Suite 306. As a patient getting a test done that is sensitive in nature, I found a technician to be unprofessional, lacks compassion and basic skills. The technician was more concerned about answering her cell phone and engage in personal conversation doing my exam. Details of my experience (short version) I had an appointment scheduled on June 28, 2023. Upon arrival at the imaging center, I was greeted with excellent customer service and provided detailed instructions on where to report (Medical Building / suite 306). However, all of that changed once my exam began. *The technician conducted my exam, did not introduce herself, nor the second party in the room. *The technician did not review the process of the exam with me. *The technician did not know why I was there. After informing her the reason for my visit, she replied with “get on the table …..” and take ……. off. However, she and her intern ( I would later learn) never left the room to give me the opportunity to undressed. *Doing my exam the technician instruct the intern to go into the next room to retrieve her phone, which was ringing. My exam room door was then left opened, while I was still exposed, with the exam equipment in my body. *The intern returned with the cell phone, at which point the technician proceeded to engage in a personal phone conversation during my exam. Unbelievable! **I have emailed my detailed experience to Memorial as indicated in the response to my Google review.

I got to the emergency room because my water broke and my baby was 20 days early. The attention has been wonderful, they gave me a room that same night and they explained all the details of my surgical procedure (cesarean section). I really don't know who treated me better, because absolutely all the staff treated us excellently, with humanity, respect and professionalism. I want to thank the emergency nurses Nicolle and Lysa, Maria and Brigitte, nurses who received my baby during the delivery and gave me the assurance that everything was going to be fine, the anasthesiologist nurse Lisandra who gave me the security and behaved wonder, everything was better for me thanks to her. to nurse Lisett, I don't know what I would have done without her support when she gave me the panic attack. Dr. Wext was very professional and explained the entire procedure to me, as did Dr. Blanco. The nurses for my baby and myself in the recovery room in the room were the best, thank you Belinda, Mildre, Marcina, Veronica, your care was a fundamental part of my recovery and I want to tell you that your work is wonderful and humane. Thank you Alejandra for giving me the guidelines for proper and pain-free breastfeeding. Thank you Maria and Sheryl for being so attentive in taking vital signs and thank you for bringing me the blessed ice that was good for me. I love you all. Finally, thanks to my dear Doctor Cepeda who carried my pregnancy in the best way. Maybe I have a name, but thank you all, if I could give you 1000 stars I would not hesitate.

I have no words for how happy I am with my experience here delivering my first baby. Every nurse and doctor was efficient and caring. They kept all of my birth wishes in mind, gave relentless postpartum assistance breastfeeding and sent me home prepared to care for a newborn for the first time. I seriously would travel to birth here again.

Delivered all my children here… I feel safe and welcomed. The care each time was just all around amazing. They allowed my husband and other children (after the first) to stay over night, even getting a cot for my little ones. They do everything with a smile and seem to genuinely care. I even enjoy my hospital meals!❤️

The nursing staff was attentive, caring and professional. They get an A from me. The food included healthy choices and tasted good. The attending doctor was an excellent communicator and took all the time I needed, to answer my questions. Another plus in his favor was a caring and affable personality. The cleanliness was somewhat under my standards, I would have liked to have seen a more thorough job than just mopping the floor. And the bathroom was not cleaned at all during my stay.

Unfortunately my wife was admitted at this hospital with an acute gallbladder infection, she was treated very professionally and the extraction was postponed until she recovered and recuperate to withstand the surgery. We ended on the fifth floor for a week and My wife wanted me to write about her care during this time; nurses for the most were outstanding in their compassion and proficiency ( there were some not as much, but the lowest minority) She wants to single out some for their excellence CINDY head of the nurses on this floor went out of her way to make my wife feel like human being by bathing her when it wasn’t her obligation kudos to this lady, Eduardo a cut above of all the nurses, Jeremy quirky and helpful with a great outlook on life, Julianna and tens more that she forgets their name, while we were scared and anxious, they tried their best to ease our angst

My experience was amazing! From the time I walked into the ER, the entire staff took great care of me. I was kept informed about all my tests, the reason behind them and expectations were set! I appreciate them taking such good care of me during a scary situation. Special thanks to the ER doctors, the radiologists and techs, the transporters and extra special thanks to Annie and the nurses on 4C (stroke floor).

On February 5, 2022 my wife gave birth to our first baby, Valentino. The whole experience was nearly perfect. We constantly had nurses checking in on my wife and son. Any issue was promptly tended to. Despite being first time parents, nurses were clear with instructions and gave us confidence in caring for our son. We felt safe while there as well. Only issue was the hallway can be quite noisy while trying to rest in the room. Other than that, a big Thank You to everyone who helped us during our stay!

The best labor and delivery by far. Professional loving and quality care. After months of aggravation and headache I could not have asked for a better experience for my daughter. Our nurse Amber in labor and delivery was EXCELLENT Professional down to earth and although busy with several patients she ensured our experience and delivery was as smooth as possible it was nothing more that she could have done to put my daughter at ease. She coached my daughter through to a great delivery I honestly could not have asked for a better experience Thank you.

If you’re an expecting mom, I highly recommend choosing Memorial West. All the staff at the Labor & Delivery unit were incredibly attentive, empathetic, passionate and patient. The nurses helped me feel comfortable and provided resourceful insight on how to effectively deliver my child. Nurses Danielle, Amber, Camella and Yvonne in the Labor & Delivery unit attended to my baby and me and I will be forever grateful!

I went to the ER for pregnancy related issues and I was in pain. The only reason why I drove to this hospital, is because my OBGYN told me to go there. They refuse to see me, because I had my minor daughter with me. They wanted me to leave my daughter outside at 10:30pm. They didn’t care for her safety. The nurses was very rude to me!

I’m 34 weeks pregnant and I started having these nonstop Braxton hicks contractions that drove me insane, I would recommend every pregnant woman to go here because they are very professional and they help you a lot as your dealing with any time of pain. My nurse Nicole and the medical staff name Shasha were amazing they answered all of my questions and helped me in every way making me feel comfortable. If my time of labor comes I would want to deliver my baby here, definitely recommend anyone to go here.

I gave birth here December 29, 2021. The nurses in labor & delivery were so kind to me, especially nurse Lilly. She was there for me every step of the way during my labor and c section. She comforted me when I was a whimp through my epidural, and reassured me everything would be fine when I ugly cried upon finding out I needed a c section. I honestly think some of these nurses are doing gods work and she is certainly one of them, they don’t deserve us! She was hands down the best nurse I have ever had. Perhaps god put me with her because he knew I was so scared! The nurses who accompanied me during my surgery were also very kind and I am honestly grateful I had such amazing women around me. Overall I am very thankful for my experience at memorial west during my labor and delivery, and my doctor Dr. Robert Klein was awesome as well and took such good care of me and my baby.

Memorial West is the best hospital. The doctors, nurses and other staff are so kind and compassionate. They're quick, too. When I went to the ER, they took me right in, no waiting. With hours, I was better. There was no attempt to admit me just to make money. I'm moving out of state soon and it kills me that I won't have access to this hospital anymore.

I was passed quickly through to the ER area and the doctor and nurse assigned to me were amazing. So nice, compassionate, patient and had a great sense of humor, which made me feel at ease. All proceedure were done quickly and results were processed quickly too. I was impressed with the treatment I received from all of the staff, doctors, nurses, imaging techs, etc... I recommend everyone go to the Memorial Hospitals.

Pros: Best hospital to give birth! Every single person you meet is so caring, kind and attentive…. The free valet service was extremely helpful at arrival, my postpartum room was huge & beautiful. The food was an 9/10. Con: I was told to take my jewelry off and the staff placed it in a bag… 5 days later, I still what happened to my jewelry. Maybe don’t show up with jewelry. ?

I had the privilege of giving birth to my second born at Memorial West and I just want to say just how grateful I am for all the staff. They were all so kind and helpful. I had a very traumatic experience at Northshore hospital from my first child so being at Memorial West was such a breath of fresh air. Special thanks to Nurse Stacey, Nurse Mia Kim and nurse Maria. You guys were heaven sent. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My grandfather had to visit Memorial Hospital West while visiting from out of town and was admitted for 3 days. From start to finish we greatly appreciated the facility and care he received. You can tell the hospital is patient-centered and their processes are very efficient. It was nerve wracking having something happen while he was away from his normal providers, but the staff at MHW made him feel comfortable and safe. They even followed up next day after dispatch to see how he was doing.

Recently I had surgery in Memorial Hospital West and I cannot say enough about how well they took care of me. Everyone I came in contact with from the intake to the discharge process was very courteous and helpful. Every nurse that took care of for me was compassionate, attentive, and professional. I had two different teams of anesthesiologists because I had to go back into the OR and both teams introduced themselves and made sure I understood what was going to happen to me. Even the staff that took care of cleaning the room and emptying the medical waste bags were friendly & respectful. In the future, I will make sure that my doctors work with Memorial West because it was such a positive experience.

Any surgery is scary but the quality of care makes a big difference how you feel mentally. It was superb. Argentina was my nurse in the morning and she was super knowledgeable and helpful. She was also helped by Taylor. After surgery, Des helped so tenderly, with compassion and care. These ladies made the whole experience less traumatizing and scary. I had all the information i needed and if i needed anything it was provided. Thanks to everybody!!!! I'm on the road to recovery. Everybody from the doctors, anesthesia and nurses i was well taken care off. I ❤️ Memorial

Hospital was efficient. Nurses were caring, funny, and professional. Unfortunately, many of the doctors I encountered for my surgery, while knowledgeable, were quite underwhelming in the human relations department. No senses of humor. No compassion for the patient as a human being. They need training in dealing with the human aspect of medicine, and not treat them as machines or unwitting idiots. In a nutshell, the doctors I encountered were too often pompous. Quite unfortunate as the rest of the staff were top notch!

I am very happy to advise that my short stay at Memorial 4 West was memorable. Even though I was concerned that I was hospitalized, all members of staff I came in contact with assured me that everything will be OK. I was moved by the warm hospitality and courtesy displayed by all. Keep up the good work, a jib well done all. Give yourself a pat on the back and a round of 👏 applause.

I gave birth and I felt very good with all the attention from the doctors and the hospital staff. Being a first-time mother, I had many doubts and questions, but the attention of the nurses helped me a lot and was excellent. My husband and I have no words to thank you. We are grateful for the attention received for me and my baby by the nurses. Jaime, your welcome was very kind, the anesthesia girls wow the treatment was incredible, Julianna from the Night Shift, oh my God Julie, you are great, also Claudia from lactation and Lauren, these girls helped us a lot, Marisela and Maggie, thank you very much!!! and all those who were part of the most important moment of our lives. If we could recommend the hospital, we would always recommend it.

I just had surgery at Memorial Hospital West. I was well cared for and treated with compassion and respect. The whole staff of nurses and doctors were absolutely the best. When I got there the day of my surgery, the nurse assigned to me, Flavia, made me feel safe and secure. She stayed with me all the time, was very helpful, very professional and knowledgeable, but above all, she treated me with compassion. She went the extra mile with a smile and a positive attitude. I'm beyond grateful 🙏. Memorial Hospital staff, from the person that cleans your room to the nurses, doctors, and all personnel are without doubt, one of the best. Thank you and God bless you all.

Excellent! All the nurses involved in my case were amazing. My preoperative nurse was awesome. She made me feel comfortable. Dr Jacob Tangir and his team were the best. After he explained what needed to be done and the expected outcome, I felt safe, secured and confident. The recovery room nurses whose names I cannot recall were very caring. They handled my postoperative pain effectively. My discharge nurse Joy did a fantastic job. She took her time to explain my discharge instructions. My husband and l were very happy and grateful to all of them GREAT TEAM!!

I’ve never had a major surgery where I had to stay overnight. Let alone a whole week. All I know for sure is that they set a high standard of excellence in all areas. Great friendly helpful people from Doctors, Nurses, nurses Assistants, cleaning crew. Meals staff and all the meals were excellent. I might have had one of the best pieces of salmon I ever had in my life one dinner. I feel so fortunate that Memorial is where I got my surgery done

I went into the hospital in excruciating pain. I could barely walk due to the level of pain I was in. At check in the worker asked for mine and my husbands ID’s we didn’t have them on us because we rushed over due to the level of emergency. We weren’t permitted into the ER with out the ID’s the worker never once asked my symptoms or the severity of the emergency. upon leaving i told her “I guess i’ll have to go to another hospital and hope i don’t die first” to which she responded “ok” I left in tears and had to drive miles away to another hospital in order to been seen.

Today we went to visit a family member of ours. As soon as we entered the hospital the front desk lady with short brown hair wearing a yellow cardigan with polka dot shirt and black high heels literally was yelling at us to go in one by one. We were not even able to speak back because of how demanding and loud she was. Her attitude towards us extremely unnecessary and horrible. She kept talking over us and kept repeating the same thing over and over again. However, the people who came after us were greeted so kindly by her. People with such behavioral issues don’t deserve to work in such field. She is not professional at all and needs to get herself checked asap.

My mom was recently in the Oncology unit at this hospital and the staff was exceptionally kind, attentive and thorough. She saw a couple of gynecologists while here as well, and they were great as well. TBH, even the cleaning crew & the food service workers were kind and courteous. This hospital is much better than Memorial Regional.

If you ever end up in the ICU and get Shinu as a nurse, you have been blessed. She truly is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and she handled my son with the utmost care. I was here a few months ago with another family member and she too was very professional and quite frankly an exceptional nurse. Meeting the needs in an instant and her tenure exemplifies efficiency times 1000%. Please hire more knowledgeable nurses like her. You are very fortunate to have her. But your ER is a mess. Not the waiting room inside where the rooms are. It’s utter chaos.

I had a great experience with our newborn my husband and I. We notice the especial care in the Mother Baby unit the great care and comfort that our RN 's Natalie at the nursery, Karina in L&D and, Belinda took care of my family. Belinda was so nice and caring due that I had a c-section and was in really bad pain she helped me with the pain and had a great smile all the time, I really felt we were in great hands. I am pleased to have made my decision to come to this Hospital. Memorial Hospital West treated us like VIP's and had the best care provided. Thank you again.

Danielle Kent, PA, really help remove the earring my daughter had embedded in her ear. Eddy the RN was also assisting her with the items she needed to remove the earring. The numbing medicine. The actual needle and gauze in order to remove the earring. He was wonderful and pleasant also. You can tell joe helpful he was he asked Danielle how could he assist. Danielle was extremely patient, and made my daughter feel very comfortable in helping her. I was blown away by how efficient she was removing the earring as I was anxious and scared for my daughter. The procedure was painless and we left the hospital happy. Memorial is my go to hospital for my children and myself.

I am in a ball of emotions as I write this amazing review on this amazing team. I didn’t even want to leave. I arrived at Memorial West Hospital on December 19, 2022, and delivered my son at 7:16 that morning. From the moment I walked in, the nurses were so attentive to me, and were so caring as I was enduring excruciating labor pain. I was already 9 cm dilated and they took every effort in them to get my wonderful doctor there in time in conjunction with allowing me to have a smooth delivery. I just couldn’t believe how sweet they all were! You can tell they each do their jobs with their HEARTS. The same for the nurses on the recovery floor.. always made sure I was hydrated, took their time to show me how to breast-feed and provide breast-feeding education, asked and checked on me at appropriate times. I just really didn’t want to leave. I hate that I am not able to remember every single nurse that made these 3 days that much easier but Susey, Elsa, Alex, Belinda, the wonderful lactation consultant Claudia, and the rest of you angels that helped me and my family, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I got the chance to experience the first-rate treatment offered by Memorial Rehabilitation, and I'm delighted to provide this glowing recommendation. This amazing facility actually goes above and beyond to care for its patients. I was welcomed with kindness and warmth right away, which helped to create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere. The outstanding staff of therapists at Memorial Rehabilitation was one feature that really stood out throughout my time there. I can't thank them enough, especially Lanell (Ty), who was crucial to my road to recovery. Every interaction I had with Ty shown his commitment, knowledge, and sincere interest in my well being. He took the time to comprehend my unique needs, and his individualized  approach to therapy made a big difference in my progress. Ty was an exceptional therapist with a wealth of information and skills. Ty led me through numerous workouts and treatments with a ton of patience and inspiration, always adjusting to my ability and pushing me to do more. He helped me recover by keeping an optimistic outlook and inspiring me. I genuinely thought Ty was interested in how I was doing and was committed to assisting me in regaining my strength and mobility. In addition to the therapists themselves, Memorial Rehabilitation is a wonderful example of top-notch patient care. The building is up-to-date, well-kept, and furnished with cutting-edge tools. Everyone on the staff, from the receptionists to the nurses, is kind, attentive, and really concerned about the wellbeing of each patient.

Personally had a negative experience and their sister hospital and was skeptical but am so grateful for the staff here. Went in to emergency Tuesday evening with severe vomiting and pain. It was very packed so I expected a wait. The staff was very attentive and I was taken back within 20 min. Doctor Zachary and Nurse Christina were very fast and efficient and we thought we had treated the issue with fluids and antibiotics and I personally should have requested a little more time but I saw that it was very busy and felt healthy enough at that time to be discharged. Doctor Zach let me know, to come back if the issue returned. It did, I went back after the vomiting started up again and my condition was definitely much worse. The triage nurses were so great and did their best to put me through quickly and I'm sure vomiting in the lobby is not something any one wants to see or hear...Wish I had their names. However, I wanted to write this review about the emergency team that helped me. My condition is still in question and I am to follow up with a hematologist tomorrow but I am so grateful to Doctor Zach, Doctor Pena, Christina, Tanika, Levar, Kathy, Chris, John, Cristal, Emily and many others that I was not able to get the names for being so attentive and happy to be there. So many workers in the health field have become numb and I genuinely felt like a priority the entire time I was there. They did run out of beds and I had to be transferred to the Pines & University location which was also very pleasant but I felt the need to acknowledge what a valuable team they have in emergency and I genuinely hope they are appreciated by their superiors. If you are feeling like death and want to be treated with respect this hospital is definitely a great place to start. Hoping to figure out what is going on with me soon & thank you all again for the hospitality ;)

There may not be enough room here to fully explain why I gave my grade, but I’ll try. Nikki’s team was absolutely amazing….simply put! I went in for a surgery this week and was admitted for a couple of days. As I was being brought up to my room my wife and I were immediately greeted by Jeremy who was our 1st nurse. Jeremy was an angel from the moment we meet him. His demeanor and energy made us both feel right at home. I truly loved how attentive and responsive he was each time I needed help. I never felt like a bother to him and he made sure I was comfortable. I wish I could remember the name of the girl who followed him but she was also a pleasure to work with. She consistently checked on me and made sure I knew she was available at any time of the night. She stressed how important my comfort was and to never feel shy to ask for help. Juliana…another angel sent down to care for someone in need. Her bedside manners are beautiful as her gentle smile. She lit up the room every time she came to check on me. Dee also made my stay such a great experience with her warm and compassionate nature. She took her time to always explain what was happening and encouraged me to always reach out for anything I needed. Suzy was also so sweet and calming each time she visited with me. Moises and Lavanda also did amazing work. They quickly answered my calls and provided the very best of themselves. Right down to the woman who cleaned our room. She was very respectful and encouraged me to keep strong. I loved seeing her and talking to her. We drove almost 2hrs from where I live to receive treatment at Memorial West and would drive another 10 for the same experience. Thank you to all who cared for me.

From the moment I walked in, the staff at Memorial Regional West has treated me and my family like we were part of their family. I feel blessed that I was able to have my child there and felt safe, comfortable, and supported the whole time. Each member of the staff worked efficiently to ensure that I was informed and knowledgeable about my medical care. They listened and tended to our needs-- all I had to do was ask. Thank you Memorial Regional West for reminding me of what love in a hospital setting is supposed to feel like.

To my new family in “5C CENTRAL” and yes, I put that in all caps because you got to put some respect on their department when you talk about them because they were absolutely rock stars. Their friendliness was above and beyond and so energetic as I was brought up to the fifth floor and welcomed by the whole staff yelling welcome to 5C Central with bright smiles. Instantly I felt I was in good hands :). As a hospitality worker myself i know how hard it is to find good genuine people who care regardless of their work load and step ups to the plate every chance they can. So it means so much to me when I receive such personalized hospitality.. Their level of professionalism, kindness and care I received from their unit was beyond my expectation. I literally left feeling like I had a new family. Please recognize these ladies to name a few Kendra, Georgie, Jackie, Lorna but I appreciated every kind interaction from the lady who took my blood pressure each day to the food ordering staff you gals are amazing . Please recognize this unit as they truly made a difference in all the stress I felt being healed from a quite annoying medical issue lol.. Warm Regards D

One key thing to know about the family birthing center is that all of the nurses are knowledgeable. My wife and I had our first bundle of joy here, and I can't say anything negative about my experience.

The apathy and neglicence exhibited by many of the nurses and staff is appaling. It is evident they are overworked, but it is also evident Management should get rid of employees which such lack of regard for other human beings. My relative has been in 7 West for a few days and they are the worst!! The day nurse hardly communicated, did not even noticed my relative's IV had been out for a while, or when the patient disaturated to dangerous levels. She was too bothered to take a moment to go over the medications or even asked what was needed. Horrible attitude!! A humidifier was requested, never received. A recliner chair was not provided until Management had to be contacted 48 hours later. She misinformed us when we asked about a procedure ordered; was it that hard to take a second and look at the computer? We were also misinformed by a couple of nurses from the 4th floor. Thank God for Charge Nurse Leslie that so kindly assisted us! After 5 days and multiple tests, they still have not been able to resolve the health issue that brought my relative here. No answers! This is now the second time this happens and with a different health emergency! The Food Service staff that takes food orders over the phone for "4 Central" could not be more rude and unprofessional! They dont listen, rush you and give you an attitude if you dont answer in the first 2 seconds. Hospital administrators: It is time to focus on people over profits!!!!

Crystal, the nurse, and the front desk staff were incredible! I, however, had a terrible experience with the attending physician! Our wait for Dr Alfa Omar Diallo was hours long. Neither did he care about our concerns nor did he want to answer our questions. His irritation at being in the room was obvious. Two times, he misdiagnosed my mother. I have given 2 stars because the nurse and other staff were great. However, I would give 1 star to Dr. Diallo.

Every nurse and Dr that I had contact with was AMAZING. They were all very kind and caring. They made me feel so comfortable before my surgery and helped me with my anxiety! My recovery room nurses were great, always making sure my pain was taken care of. A nurse called the next day to make sure everything was okay. I had a great experience!

I want to recognize Amanda Colon for her outstanding work. She has played a significant role in taking care of my wife and her improvement. Amanda provided clear and concise explanations to questions regarding medicines and treatments. Most impressive is her demeanor. She went out of her way to make my wife and family feel good and reduce the stress of being in the hospital. It's clear Amanda loves her profession and she's a wonderful example of the important role a nurse plays in a patient's recovery.

I had a c section on 7/12 and had the most amazing experience! My surgical team in OR 5 @ 3pm started this beautiful experience for me, made me calm and laugh, I was so comfortable! Then my postpartum nurses, Lindsey, Shauna, Anjelica as well as my PCAs Marie and Ann made me feel so well taken care of, they helped me so much with my daughter latching and breastfeeding! I was extremely well taken care of and I felt like they really went out of their way for my daughter and I! I would 100% give birth here again based on the nurses and how loving they are!

My three day stay at Memorial West was comfortable. The doctors and nurses were great. They took very good care of me. My room was like a first class hotel room. I’m glad I went to Memorial West Emergency Room in my time of distress.

😠 Horrific service . You could be dying , but you will die in line . Zero empathy from the people at the front, security and receptionist who are having their own conversations while collecting a paycheck. Do better. Embarrassing and inhumane. Unacceptable .
