Horrific service . You could be dying , but you will die in line . Zero empathy from the people at the front, security and receptionist who are having their own conversations while collecting a paycheck. Do better. Embarrassing and inhumane. Unacceptable .

This is the absolute WORST experience I've ever come across in a hospital. Brought my mom into the ER at 10pm. Took them over 30 minutes to get any vitals. Once we got that done they sat us back down to wait for another 2 hours. Not many people waiting either. One other lady was there because of a broken arm and was dripping blood on the floor and another gentleman just came from urgent care because of a heart attack. They came into the ER the same time my mom and I did. They unfortunately did wait longer than 2 hours as well. You would think there would be some type of urgency considering it's an EMERGENCY ROOM. But all the nurses were prancing around. Forward to us finally being put into the room, no one has come to see my mom for over an hour. She's crying and groaning in immense pain and no one cared apparently. Went to speak with a near by nurse to see if at least an IV can be put in to to get medication through to help simmer her pain. She stated that she can not and there is 9 people in front of my mom before a doctor can come see her. ONLY ONE DOCTOR AVAILABLE!!!! Why is there 12+ nurses in the ER but only 1 doctor on call? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

The amount of negligence and apathy carried out by some of nurses and staff here is mind boggling. Please do not send your loved ones here: They take advantage of elderly patient by providing subpar care thinking they have no family member to advocate for them. We decided to transfer my dad here since the wait at the other hospital where we always receive great care was packed. He has severe heart failure and was diagnosed with pneumonia so we wanted him to be admitted asap. What a big mistake, it would have been better getting treatment from the parking lot of the other hospital than coming here. We had one nurse so bad that in memorial Pembroke. Nurse Nina refuses to come after seven separate pages, not just from the family, but other nurses working as well. She gave him his medication HOURS late, gave him misinformation which caused a delay in proper examination, and could not be bothered to come fix a leaking IV regardless of how many time she was informed of it. She avoided my dad’s room FOR SIX HOURS and did not bother to check in on him in that entire time period. He needed assistance going to the bathroom and waited two hour after someone (not the nurse who was suppose to help) came to help. Not only the care is terrible. Housekeeping is incompetent. I will be filing report with department of health. If negligence continues we will be documenting and involving the lawyer. After many trips to different hospital due to my fathers health condition, this place was by far THE WORST

I had never had a good experience at an Emergency Room before, but the ER team at Memorial Hospital Pembroke is really phenomenal. Everyone at this emergency room made me feel comfortable the entire time. I was seen quickly and the medications I was administered provided much needed relief. I would like to recognize everyone because I came in nervous, not know what was wrong with me. The providers and nurses were compassionate, caring, and relieved all my fears. I thank Dr. Shawn Lieba for seeing me quick and helping me understand my options and what issues I was having. He had solutions and I felt so much relief after his visits. I would also like to thank the nurses Rehanna, Laurie, Kristen, Pam, and Andres for checking on me and making me laugh. Even the ER pharmacist, Nydia for being so kind and helping me when I had questions about my medications. I came into the ER scared but left confident because this team of medical professionals worked diligently to help me understand what was wrong with me and gave me instructions for follow up care. I can definitely recommend this ER with high remarks. If you are in Broward County, don't hesitate to choose Memorial Hospital Pembroke.

I can't be thankful enough for all the help and care I received at Memorial Hospital Pembroke All the staff were attentive and supportive. I was quite worried about the procedure and they made sure I received the proper care. They are friendly, professional and helpful. In addition, the place was kept clean, sanitized and organized. I highly recommend this hospital and you'll be satisfied. My special thanks going to the people who took such a good care of me : Elsie, Jema, Mimi and nurse manager Erica ( she was super nice and came to me several times just to check if everything was alright )

The lack of urgency at this hospital is ridiculous. The staff is rude, I over heard a nurse talk bad about a person that had called about a medication. “I don’t get why they call here”. I get it’s covid times and everyone is over worked, doesn’t mean you get to ignore patients pleads, doesn’t mean you make patients like myself wait 2+ hours for a covid test or any test. I highly recommend going to another hospital.

I recently had an MRI with Aaron. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to share my positive experience. I was coming in for an MRI scheduled for over an hour to check for something very serious. I was beyond nervous. Aaron went out of his way to keep me calm. He was constantly making sure I was ok and comfortable. His positivity and gentle demeanor made the testing so much less intimidating. He was genuinely concerned for my well being and I so very much appreciate it. Thank you!!

Well, it's morning now..about 1:20 am. Mind you we checked in around 10 pm. Made it to the back quickly, got an xray and spent the rest of our time sleeping until 1:20 am. No one came to check on us at all. Haven't seen a doctor either. I'm glad neither one of us are dying yet because this would it. If I could give it zero stars I would. Superheroes my a**. Everyone is working for a paycheck although theirs should be deducted for every patient not seen. I am beyond disguted with Memorial and their staff. If No one is gonna serve the public the right way go to school for something else. A visit to the emergency room should only take about 2 hours if you aren't being admitted. The front staff who represent the hospital needs to be fired and rehired after taking a few trainings. Memorial do better or close down. I don't understand how anyone can praise these people when no work gets down. Just sad. What I can say is Doctor Pitts is amazing and is a life savor to this hospital.

I was transferred to this hospital from a smaller one because I was at risk of needing surgery. 4 hours after I arrived a doctor finally came in and discussed my condition in less than 5 min. The plan was simply to wait it out and see what happens. Over the next 2 days I had similar doctor visits, only one per day. No specialist was available to see me. I’m not even sure if this hospital has in-house specialists like they do where I’m from (VA). The food was absolutely horrible. The first thing they gave me to drink after not having anything for over 36 hours was an off-brand ginger ale with high fructose corn syrup. My discharge paperwork was so vague I had to come back the next day to retrieve more information. My suggestion to anyone needing emergency care in this area to find a different hospital!!!

I brought my grandma here the nurse basically told me that she have to be passed out to be able to give her a bed, also we brought her from another hospital and she told me oh so you think is going to be faster here? - so apparently this hospital offer 0 in humanity, hospitality or any kind of compassion sad that the hospital of these country are all about money! - maybe in a animal shelter they can treat humans in a better way

I went to the hospital a few months ago because I have broken my wrist, but my experience was awful, I told them that I don’t have any insurance and beside them taking my Vital signs nothing was done , NO X-RAY, No doctor ever saw me , but they gave me a diagnosis even if no doctor never saw me. after that experience I got insurance and I went to a specialist, and the specialist was so upset because now they will have to brake my wrist again to set it right undergoing surgery and year of physical therapy is recommended, when this could’ve been avoided if I was just seen the doctor, set my wrist and then discharged me but instead they are billing me for things that were never done , I’m so disappointed and upset about it and I keep asking myself How can you give someone a diagnosis without seeing the doctor or x rays being done , So I feel like because I didn’t have insurance I didn’t matter. Never again will I go back there and if you are smart or don’t have insurance you will find another hospital to go too

I was truly impressed by the care I received at Memorial. The staff was welcoming and very professional. The nurse who took care of me was Sheila who worked in the ER.This woman had a heart of gold. She was the most gentle and kind nurse I've ever met in my life. What made her more special is how she handled a difficult patient in the ER. This patient was out of order but she did an amazing job handling the situation. She stayed calm, listened and remained in control of the whole situation which provided myself and everyone in the hospital a safe and peaceful environment. Sheila is truly amazing and without a doubt one of best nurses at Memorial.

My experience today at Memorial Pembroke was awesome. Good check in with Cheryl. Aaron who did mri was fantastic...a great asset to patients and the Memorial system. His compassion and his ability to painlessly put an IV in my rolling thin veins were amazing. Many thanks.

Ricky and Marcia made my grandmothers exam experience so much better. My grandmother reluctantly went in for an x-ray and was not looking forward to her appointment. Ricky and Marcia kept her well entertained and were so careful with her. They made sure to keep her safe and comfortable throughout the exam. Great team and Great experience all around from check in to check out. The valet attendant was very polite, the security guard on duty was attentive, the wait was short and the check in was seamless, the cafeteria was clean and the staff throughout the entire hospital was welcoming. Ricky and Marcia were the icing on the cake! Will come again.

My ER visit was pretty easy…I went in due to a persistent earache. The facility was clean and it wasn’t busy. I signed in on the kiosk and was called to the desk within 5 minutes. From there , I verified my information and received my wristband and checked in with security. I was seated and called to see the triage nurse after another 10 minutes or so. She was nice, knowledgeable and most importantly…She was patient. I waited in the room a little longer than I’d expected, because there was an arrival of a more urgent patient (completely understandable). The doctor arrived and immediately apologized for the wait. He checked me out, asked relevant questions and made a diagnosis: ear infection due to my wisdom tooth needing to come out. He explained the medications and follow up instructions. It was an overall pleasant experience.

The service has definitely improved. The wait time has definitely improved. The facility has definitely improved. But I have noticed something about the young doctors and nurses they can care less about patient services. You hear gossip, vacation stories, backstabbing. I’m all for the tea, but not in a hospital. You hear everything, but the right thing and that’s a problem at all these hospitals. There is no sense of professionalism. Tell me imaging is running a little late can I offer you water or a blanket. I also don’t like the shady billing that happens at this hospital. You have a hospital bill and you have a doctors bill. The doctors bill is the same if not more than the hospital bill and they are billed separately. Of course, my insurance covers it but what if I had insurance to only cover the medical costs? When I had Medicaid it was a nightmare. The billing department didn’t want to deal with Medicaid so they’ll have you do it. Medicaid only deal with the billing company not the middle man. So I was constantly annoyed with them. Until I said you don’t want to call Medicaid then you don’t want to get paid goodbye. That was my first time visiting this hospital. This is the only Hospital that I know of have a separate billing system for the doctors and hospital and I try to avoid this hospital at all cost for that reason. I’ve been to other hospitals where in the doctor’s fee are included on one bill. Nope not here and I don’t like receiving phone calls about bills when I know I have insurance that pays. Even though you hand your insurance card to the hospital billing team they sometimes don’t relay that communication to the people who deal with the physicians billing. Dealing with those rude people who work for the physicians billing department drains me and because of that, I refuse to deal with this hospital. I will travel all the way to Broward General Hospital before I deal with these people, and I’m five minutes away from them. I’ve only been to this hospital three times and two of the three times I’ve had the worst experiences with billing. Overall, the hospital is pretty decent. It’s communication within the departments, and the young generation of doctors without a shred of professionalism.

I went to the ER due to chest pains. My nurse Sheila treated me with so much kindness, patience, and respect. The best nurse I've ever had! She is the type of nurse that makes you want to come to the doctors when you feel ill. Instead of dreading the doctors because of the staffs rudeness. She makes you feel so welcomed and well taken care of.

The staff overall were amazing and didn't hesitate getting to the root of my edema issues they were very supportive and understanding to my personal concerns I didn't have to wait too long and the team of nurses were extra helpful. I really appreciate it. As I exited the hospital I felt better knowing about my health. Thank you Nurses and doctors who treated me. You're the Best ❤️

Everything and everyone gave excellent service. The 1 issue is that there is only 1 CT scanner, which have you waiting very long. Going in around 1pm and leaving 5 hrs later is a little too much. Overall I love Memorial Healthcare ♥️

I found the staff very concerned for my comfort, my needs met, and on schedule with blood work, meds, and vitals screening. Some even went above and beyond their job description. The facility was friendly, and comfortable, clean and tidy. It was a pleasant experience amidst the painful recovery, they helped mitigate the physical pain with great disposition. Thank you

The stay for my mom isn’t worth even 1 star!!! In addition to what she was dealing with, they were loading her up on Melatonin which kept her very groggy and sleeping. The day she was released to the rehab facility she was awake and back to normal. While speaking to a private nurse at the facility, her patient had the same exact thing happen at this hospital. The doctor was very unprofessional and rude!!! Complete nightmare and if she wouldn’t have been transferred the day she was, I was going to take her out myself. Never again!!!!

Recently I visited the ER at this hospital, and I can't say enough about the professional and compassionate care I received. I would like to mention several professionals who took care of me while I was there. Catherine, the best RN ever, Jackie another great RN and the CT technician. I was also greatly appreciative of the follow up call I received regarding my welfare since my visit. Thank you Memorial Pembroke.

I came to this emergency room because I spent 11 hours with a terrible back pain at Jackson Memorial Hospital ( Miami Florida ) and send me back with the same pain and not even a clue about what was causing the pain! Literally I felt in love with this team at memorial Hospital Pembroke Pines ! Today I was there from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm is amazing how much they help me , they did an MRI , they found the reason of my back pain , they got me the right medication for the pain, the did blood test and urine test and help me to find a doctor for follow up and they send me home without pain , the staff was amazing , fast and effective I wanna to say thanks to them !!! And congrats 🎉. I have not seen medical staff as efficient as this, throughout the country, I affirm it this way because I have lived in different parts of the country, going to different emergencies room and this one , the Memorial Hospital Pembroke Pines deserve the first place 🥇!!!

Absolutely love this hospital!! Been in and out of here several times the last few years. The last time was just 2 days ago. I had a terrible infection in my scalp and unfortunately no insurance or doctor to go to. The lady when you come in the door named Tasha was super sweet and helpful. The ER nurse Lisa is absolutely SUPERB at her job. She is chock full of information and resources. She is so nurturing and caring. (which is what I needed most) Lisa is super professional and BORN TO BE A NURSE ❤️ Thank you Lisa, Natasha and Memorial Hospital Pembroke. I'm feeling better already 😃

I was on the second floor (2 west) for 3 days and I feel like I got excellent care. The room was private and not cramped at all. I know it is a hospital and not a hotel so I usually have very low expectations when I am admitted to the hospital so I was extremely impressed by the room. The bed was pretty comfy and so was the reclining chair. My room also had a 3 person couch and 2 folding chairs! I've been admitted to many hospitals and have had many shared rooms with little to no seating so this was a nice surprise. Every staff member I met was really helpful and nice but I especially remember and appreciate Nurse Lauren in the ER and, Nurse Norah on the 2nd floor. I spent most of my time in the ER or in my room on the second floor so I can't really speak to the rest of the hospital and I was on a clear liquid only diet so I can't speak to the food quality either.

After checking into the emergency room, I was pleasantly welcomed by Alexander who took down all my information, and followed it by going above and beyond to get my doctor to see me after waiting for a period of time when I told him the situation. Dr. Fernandez was an amazing person with his patience and empathy towards me. Monique was tremendous on her patient care services by verifying my information and taking quick action to update any mistakes. Danielle was wonderful attending to my injury, along with Celeste and Katherine who all were superbly caring, informative, and polite towards me. All the other staff members who were involved in the X-ray and CT scan room were splendid. In conclusion, I had to inform the supervisor on duty at the time for her marvelous coaching skills towards her staff, Ms./Mrs. Veronica Guzman! Thank you all kindly for a great job well done. Keep up the efforts. Respectfully, Jeffery Celestin

I had previously received excellent care at this facility. I don't know if it is because I changed insurance, or because I was on a different floor of the hospital with different employees this time, but the second half of my last visit was a nightmare. When I was admitted as an observation patient I had no problems with the staff or anything else. It wasn't until my stay was converted to an inpatient and I was sent to the Telemetry floor that the problems began to arise. I must admit that I also became a nightmare patient, due to the treatment I received (or lack thereof). The lack of empathy was appalling... and they couldn't even get my food orders right. Tests that my pulmonologist ordered were not run, and I had to notify my pulmonology practice that I was even there, because the last time I was in this same hospital, my doctor said nobody told him, even though someone who claimed to be from their practice did visit me. For the moment I was too sick to notice when they first gave it to me, but they were giving me an antibiotic that doesn't even work for me. When I asked to have it changed, they wanted to change it to one that makes me sick - which should be noted in my chart somewhere. I should not have had to tell them these things, and if I do tell them these things they should believe me and listen instead of acting like they know better than I do about my own body. I even had a charge nurse lie and say that I threw something at her, which is absolutely not true but without video evidence I can't prove that I did not.

Recently I had an MRI appointment and the male nurse/tech that took me to the MRI department to get my testing done wasn't wearing a mask. UNfortunately, my mask had metal in it so I had to remove it. Even though it was visibly noticeable & I expressed that I was uncomfortable about not being able to wear my mask, that male nurse stayed without a mask on for my entire appointment. I had to pull my robe over my nose and my mouth as I went into the MRI machine to feel some sort of security and after the testing was done that same nurse that wasn't wearing a mask felt compelled to tell me (as he was getting me out of the MRI machine) that they're all vaccinated so I can pull my gown down from covering my nose and my face. I didn't listen to him. Somehow, he felt offended that I wanted to continue covering my face. So, not only does HE choose not to wear a mask in a hospital but he's also advising patients not to wear their masks either. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to keep my nose & mouth covered the entire time that he was around me for testing reasons which is what concerns me. I just can't believe that someone who works in the medical field/a hospital can be so irresponsible, so dangerous & so biased about wearing a mask that he's willing to risk patients' safety/lives. Someone with those kind of views shouldn't be working directly with patients nor co-workers. I expressed my concerns to his Superior who just so happened to show up there and was walking me back to the front of the hospital. If that guy/nurse feels so freely to go against Memorial Hospital's mask policy, I can only imagine how reckless he is in his personal life. My experience with everyone else there was wonderful. The only complaint I have is that guy put my safety, my family's safety & other patients' safety at risk and he didn't even care.

Wanted to give a grateful shout out to the nurses on the third floor, like Nicole, and all of the others that were so kind and to Dr. Garcia, who provided such quality service to my sister, Amy. My sister is blind and handicapped and was treated like gold for the entire week that she was there. I can't thank all of you enough. Caregivers in the world could learn a lot from you all!! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! <3

I've been here twice once for my daughter and another time for myself. The first time I came my daughter had an ear infection and the doctor had just told us to use some medicine and that it would be gone. And so we went and got medicine and that just made her ear fully close and she couldn't hear anything. Second time same doctor I went because I had pain on my face from a previous surgery and the doctor told me he couldn't do anything and asked me what he should do as if I was a doctor. The check in lady was incredibly rude and had a very bad attitude in which she would talk to the people coming in. Overall a very bad expierence both time I dont recommend coming here.

My Brother had surgery September at Memorial Pembroke he was doing well and then he was sent to a horrible nursing home where they miss treated him and he ended up back at Memorial Pembroke in acute renal failure recovered there then was sent to another nursing home sent home in December case worker said he would have Home Heath ( did not receive home health care) ended up going back by ambulance when he somehow pulled out his pick line . Which was a good thing because he had a very bad bacterial infection when he was brought back to Hospital This time MEMORIAL south where he was allowed to have visitors one a day then right before Christmas they stopped all visitors and he started having one problem after another was transferred back to MEMORIAL Pembroke . For a second surgery Now he is doing very horrible and is starting to give up. I understand Covid is a threat but I see on the website that they are taking appointments for patients so I don’t understand with the bad shape that he’s in we have been told he’s one step above Hospice yet he cannot have a visitor. We are all vaccinated and would be very diligent with handwashing and mask we are afraid that if he does not have a visitor since he has not had one since December And of course spent Christmas alone we are afraid he will give up .not complaining About the staff he is getting good care but he is alone and his mental state is diminishing every day because he is so depressed

My mother has been a patient several times at this hospital. She's bed bound with feeding tubes, foley, pressure ulcers, wounds, Diabetes, Parkinson, etc. This hospital is very unorganized. They will call several times for the same information that was already given to another employee. Patient Safety is not a priority. My mother was discharged with an IV line still in her arm. The transportation company brought her home and she wasn't wearing a mask and the transportation worker mask was off his face. The discharged nurse placed my mother at risk by being negligent. What I'm noticing is the healthcare system is NO LONGER about patient care. Memorial Healthcare System use to be a leader in providing high-quality healthcare services to South Florida residents NOT ANYMORE. They NO LONGER have exceptional patient- and family-centered care that creates the Memorial experience. Memorial Pembroke need to retrain its nurses on patient care and safety. Most of the nurses are there for a paycheck NOT TO BETTER the healthcare system.

This is the most amazing hospital ever. Our journey started February 29 2020. We spent 2 1/2 months there. My wife was miss diagnosed in our home state of Oregon 20 years ago. She was dieing and had months to live. We were getting on a cruise and she was to sick to go. We ended up in ICU for around 30 days plus and then in general care. There care was amazing from dietary to CNA to infectious disease doctor and all in-between, my wife is well to day. We just went back to say hi and give our thanks. Our lives are ever changed because of grace and care that this hospital gave me my wife back. I am so blessed. Special thanks to Dr K and Dr Solage

A family member was transferred from the ER at Memorial Johnson to Pembroke due to no beds?well he has lots of issues. He has been in Memorial at Johnson and South often. After being here a few days it was said by the Dr that it was better for him to go a skill nursing facility for rehab. Well the day of the transfer he started to have excruciating pains in his right leg just before the time the transport was picking him up, at that point he said I can’t leave with this pain. Well I told one of the Nurses to call the charge Nurse, this by a way is the 3rd floor, she was only not rude, she was arguing with him that he was discharged, what do you mean you don’t want to go”she said” I then said I can file an appeal, and then she said you will loose it. In other words no one care about the horrible pain he was having, all they care was about for him to go. He was getting really upset so I said let’s just go. I also have to mention that the care while there was not like Memorial at Johnson, he is bed ridden and needs to be turn twice daily and that was not happening. Nurses are just ok except for Bryan that he was really great. Also,no one explain that the Nursing facility have to order the medications, they don’t have pharmacy, therefore he did not get his meds the day of the transfer including insulin since he is also diabetic. It looks that all the Hospital wants is to get rid of the patients ASAP.

I was admitted to the hospital overnight a few nights ago. It’s probably the third time I’ve been to this hospital in general. I just have to give a shout out to all the nurses and doctors that took care of me… so kinda and compassionate and took the time to order tests I requested. I send you al hugs. Someone please pull up my chart and thank all the nurses and doctors that treated me. Literally every single one of them was so compassionate. Especially Dr. Daphne Pitts.

February 14th I went to ER because I have a pain. At the waiting room everything was quickly and nurse really nice. Doctor was great and did different examination for me. I wasn't OK with my diagnosis because my pain was strong. So Wednesday I went to work I couldn't drive back home my pain was worst I took another pills because I was suffering at home. Decide to go back Thursday my pain has been worst and I spend more than 1 hour at waiting room. Patience who arrived behind of me passing first. I asked twice if I had to go home or wait, nurse told me to wait but I wait another half an hour I am still there. So I decided to go. I felt discriminated because I am latina and do not speak English perfect... I have to pay too that is not free for me. I felt worst of my pain seating in a chair for a long in a waiting room.

Pathetic doctor, specially the one I had experienced, I went at night so I can avoid rush , there was no one in the waiting room so the nurses did what they were suppose to do and I was in , nearly emergency beds were half empty, nurses were chatting, laughing, and all doctor veloz williams was in his office, supposedly working! Which was to see patients, like me I waited 3 hours for him when there was no one coming, no one was in any emergency I say him in his room while crossing but he came after 3 hours how unprofessional is that . This health care system sucks big time or this doctor .

Nurse Flo from the ER is the most sweetest genuine person you’d ever meet! Non judgmental, most empathetic person I’ve ever met she’s so nice and energetic you’d forget you’re going thru anything! Nurses like her are who we always expect to have! I really appreciate your service and good job to memorial hospital for recognizing and hiring such a beautiful person I see this lady going very far if she doesn’t change! I hope she doesn’t 🥰😘

I had appendicitis back in October. I was transported from your smaller hospital to this one. I have to say you guys are excellent! Every one of you was compassionate, understanding, and I was treated like your royalty. The discharging time was irritating but besides that I can't thank you enough for saving my life. My appendix was one day from popping and you guys treated me amazingly! Thank you.

This hospital has been a 5 star facility but this last visit it is only getting one star. Thank God for the nurses they came to rescue for me. I was in 350 bed one and I have COPD and anxiety, found it very hard to breathe in my room. Posted on my door was allergic to perfumes and chemicals but on the wall across from my door was a air deodorizer machine . Between the charge nurse and my nurse they had to disassemble the machine which totally help me Breathe Again freely. I thought all hospitals are fragrance-free !! These machines use a oil base fragrance and anyone would lung problems will have a hard time breathing. Would really appreciate the higher-ups to investigate this situation because anyone that had covid-19 has lung problems I do believe. Sincerely Heather Wood Just received a call from Margo charge nurse on 3rd floor who informed me that the air deodorizer have been removed!! So this is good to know that this hospital are on top of the safety of their patients! Thanks for caring for the patients, that's is the reason I am changing my 1star to 5 stars !!! It's really appreciated so thank you Margo! Sincerely a happy patient Heather Wood
