One of the worst admin / customer service experience at a doctors office. -8/5/21 had an appointment at 12:30pm, arrived at 12:35pm. Was told by someone in the office that I was too late and that the doctor left. This was not true, in fact a blatant lie. I contested this and was told by the individual that "after speaking to the office manager" I will be seen by the doctor. She obviously lied that he left. When I told the Doctor he himself was surprised. -After a colonoscopy was scheduled I received a phone call from the office stating that I owed a Copay. This was not true as I have met my annual out of pocket maximum. I tried to explain this but was given an attitude and told that "the reinsurance doesn't cover the biopsy". Which was again a lie. -9/10/21 day of colonoscopy I was again told that I needed to pay the Copay. I again explained that this was incorrect because I had met my out of pocket maximum for the year. I was rudely told that I needed to pay and she refused to even allow me to explain or verify with insurance. Charged $121. -I check a week later with my insurance and the claim was paid in full, just as I stated it would. Called the office on 9/22, no one picks up at billing, I leave a message with name and number for a call back. No one calls me back. 9/24 I call again, no one picks up at billing, I leave a message with name and number for a call back. No one calls me back... for 3 weeks. -10/13/21 Arrive at my follow-up appointment, tell the front desk my my experience. She contacts billing, I am told a refund will be issued. Over a week later, I have not been refunded. -10/21/21 Called the office, someone picked up and put me on hold without saying anything. After 20 mins of being on hold I hung up (I have a screenshot). Called back again, someone picked up and transferred me to billing. As with previous times, no one picked up. I left a message. I will be switching doctors and disputing the charge with my credit card. Would not recommend this office to anyone.

A colonoscopy can be an unnerving proposition. There's the questions about whether it will hurt, what they'll find, if anything but make no mistake, if you are of age, male or female GET ONE DONE. GDC streamlines the procedure in such a way that you're in and out in a matter of one hour at the most. First let me start with the staff: everyone at this place is amazing but especially Yadira and Plinio treat you with respect and dignity and put you at ease. Now for Dr Jeffrey Steiner, a consummate professional who exudes compassion and connects with his patients. It is obvious he understands the nerves and concerns of the moment in his patients. He's quick to put his hand on your shoulder and reassure you. His bedside manner is second to none. Dr Snyder, the anesthesiologist is communicative and affable and puts you right at ease. When you wake up the job they've done is so thorough and compassionate you wake up without pain, feeling great just waiting for Dr Steiner to give you the rundown on what his findings are. The whole operation is great, the facilities are easy to find on Taft St and University in Hollywood and the place is clean and well put together. Dr Steiner and his team have this down to a literal science and I thank them for a great experience with something that can be unnerving.

Whole colonoscopy procedure from start to finish seem well oiled machine, industrialized in a good way. Dr. Dooreck kept me informed pre & post procedure. As usual most challenging part of the whole procedure was preparation on the day prior, drinking never ending bucket of cleanse solution! Detailed procedure report was sent promptly with few images as reference.

COHEN is by far the most unprofessional and rude doctor we have ever met. He only sends you to imaging and lab that he gets kickback from. He fails to listen, and seems to be only focused on maximizing his financial profit. The worst!!

Today was my fourth colonoscopy in 20 years. This was my first time with Dr. Doorick. Doctor D. and his staff were wonderful! Very professional but also caring. Thank you all for a great experience!

Updated review. Everyone was great today. The staff was kind and took good care. It’s good to see the staff has changed for the better. The doctor is always excellent. 07/27/2022 Excellent doctor but horrible staff and good luck Making an appointment because you'll get transferred to a machine. I called today with pain in my entire lower stomach and told this to Ashley and she kept transferring me to a machine. When I called her for the fourth time she told me I had to leave a message there's nothing she can due. I ask to speak to the doctor she said sure I'll transfer you to his answer machine. They don't care.

Lol this place is a joke. The receptionists and staff are all rude. The doctor is very dismissive and talks over you. He asked me “do you have any questions?” I ask how can I change my diet to avoid more acid reflux? He cuts me off and says he will give me a packet that explains everything (which it didn’t) and just schedules me for an endoscopy for February. The whole appointment felt very rushed and it was a waste of time. Then the place calls me for the endoscopy procedure a week before it’s supposed to take place, I pick up and tell them I will not be able to attend. The lady on the phone gets an attitude and says “so you weren’t just going to let us know.” I tell them “yes I was” then she just repeats herself. What kind of customer service is this? She then proceeds to ask me why I want to cancel the appointment so I tell her the doctor made me feel uncomfortable because I felt like it was a rush. She starts laughing. Honestly go work somewhere else more unprofessional where you clearly belong and not in the medical field for the money.

I went in for an appt. While I was filling out paperwork, they kept asking me for copay. I told them I was filling out paperwork and I will pay when I hand it in, they said they wanted to charge me because the doctor "wanted to leave". The location on Maps has Pembroke rd I guess their old location, Thank God I went to my appt early because I went to the old location first, then saw the relocated office on University. I made it 10 mins before to my appt. I informed reception area and they were dismissive, like they didnt care that their clients are sent to wrong location. Not even a fake "I am so sorry you went to wrong location, im going to let office manager know that that's happening so they can update the address immediately ". While I was there, there was a lady upset because her appt was at 11 and it was 1145 and she had not been seen yet. I asked for my paperwork and left. If this is the first impression I am getting of a clinic, I do not want to see the doctor.

I went in for my consultation and the process was fast, no sitting around for to long. Doctor was friendly, humorous, and direct. The staff is very friendly and makes you comfortable. I will definitely recommend this office to others.

First visit to Dr. Steiner and was impressed with the efficiency and pleasant manner of the office staff. Dr. Steiner’s “bedside” manner was great too and professional and to the point! Definitely feel I am in good hands!

STAY AWAY!!!! Prior to going to my visit I had made the person on the phone aware that I wanted to see Dr. Dooreck for a second opinion about my elevated liver functions. It took some time to get my records over but when it did, I was finally able to book my appointment. On the day of the visit, I paid $75.61 and I was told by the receptionist that, that was my copay for the visit. When I was brought to the room with the doctor's medical assistant, I could tell he had an attitude problem due to the way that he was treating his staff. When the doctor came in he was only there for five min; he seemed like he was in a rush. When I tried asking him my questions his response was "you can do whatever you want to do" and I was like..hmmmm okay. He asked me how I found out about him and I told him that I have done my research and I saw his reviews and I wanted to make an appointment because I had some concerns about my health. His response was..he chuckled and said there's nothing special about me I am just a simple guy and when I tried addressing more of my concerns he said "well this is because you're fat". After the visit I was taken to another room to schedule my EGD but I made his medical assistant and scheduler aware of how unsatisfied I was with the visit. I decided not to make a big deal about it because at the point I have made the decision that I was not going back there. Fast forward a few months later I get a bill for $39 dollars that I apparently owe. I called the practice several times and no one would answer; I left two voicemails, and no answer. Finally, I got a call from the office manager who offered no help and said I needed to speak to the billing manager which I did and again she ignored my concerns, did not want to void my suppose "copay" even though I was told that I had already paid my copay the day of the visit. She said there was nothing that could be done because there is no documentation of me being satisfied with the visit which I find very convenient for her to say that. I have sent several emails regarding this matter and I have not received a reply as of yet.

I have received a very blessed and excellent medical care from Dr. Steiner and his staff. I had a colonoscopy yesterday, March 1, and everything was done with love and care. I was very pleased with Dr. Steiner’s gentle care.

The prep for a colonoscopy is annoying, but the procedure is a breeze at GCI. Everything is fast and everybody is extremely pleasant. I feel in fabulous hands with Dr Yotseff and the team. Thank you

I had a colonoscopy and, other than the prep, this was a very good experience. I wasn’t rushed by any of the staff AT ALL! They eased my anxiety for the procedure and answered any questions that may have been concerning. There were even a few jokes….. totally comfortable. When I woke up, it was as if nothing happened. Wow!

Dr. Steiner was so warm and so gracious. It was a great experience to work with him and the staff - Michelle, Maria, Dr. Schneider, Angie and Plinio. They were a great team and I will recommend them to all my friends.

Called for an appointment, and they wanted me to provide them with results from an Endoscopy I had at another Dr.'s office which is fine. But then I couldn't email them the results. I had to make an appointment to drop them off then the Doctors were going to study them, then decide if they if they could see me. 😱😱😱😱

Never seen such unprofessional place! Called as a new patient to schedule a follow up after hospital visit. I told them everything upfront and they had me send them all my medical records just for them to tell me they will not see me because I saw a different Gastro almost a year ago!!! they have this nonsense policy where they will not see someone if they had a visit with different Gastro less then 5 years which is "their right" but they could have told me on the phone sorry we can't see you due to 1..2..3 and not waste my time to call different doctors to send them all my medical record to tell me they will not see me due to the fact I had different doctor prior which was disclose to them on the phone RIGHT AWAY in our first call! If that's how they handle a simple task such as making an appointment in such ridiculous manner god only knows how they handle something more complicated like actually taking care of a patient.

I was a bit nervous, since it was my first time with general anesthesia. The staff really made me fell comfortable, by explaining the process and assuring me that I will be okay. The anesthesiologist was superb in making me feel comfortable, before that comfortable rest😊. Last but not least, Dr Dooreck was just great, my husband was surprised that he called him to assure him that all will be well, before the procedure. Overall it was just a great experience!

It is important to get your first colonoscopy if you are 45-50 years old. Earlier if you have family history. I am really happy that I had Dr. Dooreck to guide me through my first colonoscopy. Dr. Dooreck and his team are professional and friendly. I had a morning appointment on the day of the procedure, and was seen shortly after arriving. Everyone made sure that I was comfortable and answered any questions I had. Dr. Dooreck spoke with me immediately after the procedure, and called later that afternoon to see how I was feeling. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dooreck!
