I would put zero stars if it was an option. Honestly never had a chance to visit this doctor nor his office and I would love to find a way to contact him personally because I am not sure if he is aware that he can probably not only have his 4.1 rating go up to 5.0 but also make a lot more money if he starts with creating a new front office, 1st impression staff. I've worked in the education field for the past 12 years at a Nursing College (#1 in the county at that) so I am having the hardest time understanding how a Medial Assistant can be comfortable being so unprofessional, coming off uneducated, no patient morality which obviously she won't have good bed side manners and no work ethics. I had a complaint and the lady was comfortable arguing with me on the phone, when I hung up on her she had the edacity to call my phone back to tell me "tell your husband ...." all I could think is "is this really America, is this really why I pay $700 monthly in health insurance for providers of this caliber"?! I can almost guarantee a physician of Dr.Berkower, DO stats is not aware that his front office is hindering him from the opportunity of more patients which in return leads to more money for him and had that MA been smart enough she'd realize that money also goes into her paycheck but I guess it's normality for her because from half these reviews I've read, I am certainly not the only one left feeling some type of way. Dr.Berkower I can only pray you read this review at some point in the near future and do some house keeping with your front end. Best of luck... I was Referred to Dr. Berkower thru a Close Family Friend. I've worked in the Medical Field for many years. I have 5 Herniated Discs in my Cervical/Lumbar also Carpel Tunnel, DDD in my Neck. I have seen many Pain MGMT. Doctors who didn't treat me for all my pain. Dr. B is Very Thorough, takes his time with his Parents, really Listens and always gives the needed treatment . He CARES!!! I changed my Insurance plan because Dr. B. wasn't on the Provider List. You'll BE glad you chose him Gwen

I never like to say bad things about doctors, or their office staff, they do more than enough to be putting up with us patients. But after my first visit with Dr, Berkower, and the experience i had with him and his staff, they all make any other doctor or office staff look like a bunch of inexperienced hacks! When you call, the phones are answered in such a quick and professional matter. Questions are answered, problems are solved. The staff will go far above and beyond to help with any insurance or prescription problems. You are never left on hold for more than a couple of minutes, and if you are told that either the doctor or a staff member will return your call, well guess what, they will call you, and not at the end of the day. When you arrive at their office, it’s clean, not have to worry about over crowded or anything. They schedule the appointments as per guidelines. And the ambiance of the office is so relaxing, and tranquil, you feel so at peace. You visit here 90% of the time in pain and uncomfortable, and the minute you walk in, you are so pleasantly greeted, that you start to relax immediately, you hardly ever have to wait long, and you are brought in and the staff members start with your vitals and getting you to the room. When Dr. Berkower comes in, his knowledge and professionalism is top notch, he knows exactly what best course of action is needed. I can say I have been luckily enough to be referred by my primary doctor. I have had pain management doctors for several years, but nothing like Dr. Berkower and nothing like his office staff. Doctor and Medical Assistant are great. I had to wait about 1.5 to 2 hours before I was seen by the doctor which I was not happy about but did not complain about it. The secretary has no customer service manners, I just called and she hanged up the phone before saying “appointment was confirmed” or good bye. I had to call back to confirm my appointment was actually scheduled. Please provide some training on Customer Service to the people on the front desk. The doctor can be amazing but you just don’t want to go is that is the way you are treated on the phone and at the front desk. Thanks for listening.

This is an usually talented doctor that cares about his patients. He’s able to help complicated pain cases that most doctors Would have no clue , how to help. The whole office is kind hearted and cares about patience.. Compassion is a great healer in itself and a positive atmosphere where our patients treated kindly and with respect is greatly appreciated. I wish I found the Dr sooner. A small problem when out-of-control . High blood pressure caused my Bad pain from Severe surgical care with no pain management. Issues. Pain is the cause of high blood pressure spikes. When untreated for several months left from lousy care at the hospital.

Dr. Berkower office staff is very professional and friendly. Dr. Berkower has a great bedside manner and is very attentive. This is not your typical doctors office good people. Dr Brerkow physician assistant is very thorough she was very good with me she asked the right questions she was compassionate and I enjoyed my visit today.

I went to three specialist including the Cleveland Clinic for lower back pain and none of them helped with my immediate excruciating pain. Berkower relieved my pain in one visit and has me on a two week treatment that as of the last two days I feel so much better. Seriously, I hadn't slept in my bed for two weeks and could barely walk. Bought a walker to make it to the bathroom and I'm only fricken 50!

Wait time is too long . Unprofessional they just sit us in a room for 2 hours hours and don’t let us know what going on. This is rediculous only 2 people was in the office with me and I still haven’t been seen. And I was on time for my appointment . I do not recommend anyone to visit dr berkower office!!!!!!! Bad service

Five stars ⭐️ isn’t enough. Excellent experiences and excellent results. I first saw Dr Berkower in February after I work up one morning on a yacht, charter complete (thank goodness) and I couldn’t walk. I’m a yacht chef and the days are long and very physically demanding. Lots of standing, bending, stairs and squatting into tiny spaces spaces and nooks, all on a moving boat. Yeppers! On my first visit I was well prepared by his reception team on what to bring, how much time to plan in my schedule and costs. Super kind, efficient and helpful. Dr Berkower referred me to a great mri center and following my first procedure an AMAZING PT place, Apollo rehab. (You can see my review on their page too) Dr Berkower has a conservative approach and I really like that. He did what I needed to get me on the healing train. He also made sure I had the correct meds, Incase my pain returned while out in the middle of the ocean. When the first procedure and 2 months of PT didn’t get me back to 100% I returned for the next step, a sciatic epidural. Now that was kind of scary for me, but he was awesome, talking to me the whole time about what he was doing and what sensations I would feel. It was not painful at all. And I’m so ridiculously thrilled to share I’m PAIN FREE! I’m able to get back to my crazy delicious life on a yacht.

Complete waste of time. Customer Service or lack of customer service SUCKS. I was told they take my insurance waited 2 weeks for the appointment just to be told after filling out all that paperwork go back to the Patient room then find out they don't accept my insurance. But they said everything is fine the doctor will see you anyway. Just to be told at the end to see another doctor. Now I have to start all over with another consultation with another doctor. Don't act like you did any favors by seeing me or telling what you think I want to hear it was a complete waste of time while my husband still suffers from PAIN.

When you arrive in the waiting room chances are you will hear patients talk about Dr Berkower’s bedside manner. It is one of the best many have ever see. He is thorough in his examinations and spends more time with patients then any doctor I have ever come across. He is early to rise like a true champion and in the office as the sun is coming up. He knew his stuff when it came to sciatica issues and got me fixed right up. A month ago I walked in limping and today I’m getting ready to jog the treadmill. Dr Berkower is a mensch in every sense and I highly reccomend his services.

Contacted them after searching on google. Was in significant pain in my lower back and hips for ages. Reception got me in the same day and everyone was great despite a very busy and overwhelmed schedule. I can’t say enough about all of the touch points across the team and Dr Berkower was amazing. You can see he was focused, effectively and extensively hard working. Jake his intern was kind and the office staff was amazing. Will go back and will recommend.

MY WIFE HAD AN APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY AT 2:45 PM ON JUNE 21ST. THERE WAS NOBODY WAITING IN THE WAITING ROOM WE WERE THE ONLY ONES. AFTER WE WAITED IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MORE THAN HOUR AND A HALF, MY WIFE WENT TO THE RECEPTIONIST WINDOW AND ASKED; HOW LONG IS GOING TO BE BEFORE THE DOCTOR WILL SEE HER, AND THE WOMAN AT THE WINDOW, (I WOULDN'T CALL HER LADY, BECAUSE SHE IS FAR AWAY FROM THAT.) TOLD MY WIFE THAT THE DOCTOR IS BUSY COACHING STUDENTS, AND IF SHE DON'T LIKE IT, SHE TOLD HER LITERALLY “GO HOME” SHE IS A VERY NASTY AND UNEDUCATED EMPLOYEE AS PER HOW TO DEAL WITH PATIENTS. SO WE LEFT AND SHE WERE NOT SEEN BY THE DOCTOR. I LOOKED AT THE DOCTORS REVIEWS ON GOOGLE AND MANY OF THOSE WHO LEFT ONE STAR, SAY THE SAME THING. ABOUT THE STAFF. I COULDN'T SAY THAT ALL THE STAFF IS NASTY, BUT THIS WOMAN IS THE WORST. I AM ALMOST SURE THAT THE DOCTOR IS NOT AWARE OF THE WAY THAT THIS WOMAN TREATS HIS PATIENTS. WE ALSO FILED A GRIEVANCE WITH HUMANA, SO THEY DON'T CHARGE HUMANA FOR THE VISIT THAT WAS NOT CONSUMED.

Dr Berkower is amazing I had a lower back pain that kept me from carrying out normal life activities and was in excruciating pain Prior to my visit, for 4 weeks, I had my back aliened, an array of therapies and saw I don’t know how many professionals to help me with my pain Dr. Berkower allowed me to see him in a short notice ( hours after I called in) Diagnosed my issues and prescribed the correct medication to eliminate my pain I will definitely refer all that I know that are in the same situation Trust me when I tell you that 5 star rating does Dr Berkower a disservice

I am very happy I was reffered to Dr. David Berkower. He is very easy to talk to.!.!He really listens to you. His office is an hour from my home. I don’t mind that is an hour away. The staff is friendly.

My wife was recommended by her family doctor. After taking ALL of her information on the phone, and telling her she was "all set", we were told upon arrival that they don't accept her insurance.

Dr Berkower was incredibly thorough and professional! He took the time to ask all of the important questions relating to my pain, and I am feeling so much better after seeing him, it’s night and day. I am grateful for Dr. Berkower, and highly recommend him.

The kindest most thorough doctor ever. Spent a significant time trying to figure out where the pain was coming from and was extremely gentle during the pain management process. Never rushed the process. Great experience!
