The dispatcher doesn’t care about your issue. All they do is direct you to other extensions that aren’t even working at the time, forcing you to leave a voicemail. The police, do their jobs for the most part, but they tend to get Power-hungry often, especially the older officers in the precinct. The badge and the red and blue lights is all for show. They are not there when you NEED them. But they will be the first to traffic stop you because they haven’t reached their quota for the month. I’ve been in Pines my whole life, and I promise you that it’s actually getting WORSE. I really hope this department can implement changes to help better the community. I thought a review like this would be sort of a victimizing sob sTory, but I wrote it with the hope, that someone important will read this and bring it to the PD’s attention. RIGHT NOW, there are hundreds of shoppers inside the Publix on Pines Blvd and Palm Ave. THIS IS DESPITE THE FACT THAT SOCIAL DISTANCING IS IN AFFECT AND NOT ONE OFFICER IS IN SIGHT TO DIRECT TRAFFIC, CREATE LINES FOR SHOPPERS TO WAIT OUTSIDE, NOTHING. I guess they’re all too busy. They will regret it once thousands of residents in Pines have COVID-19.

This department tries to enforce the law when they don’t KNOW the law. Nothing but smug and overly confident officers causing problems where there are none. Not to mention the unfair treatment of a CHILD Nia Whoms. Absolutely disgusting staff and even after numerous allegations of this department, nothing will change because of the cocky sergeant that allows this to continue. Sham of a department and I understand why no one feels safe in this county.

Wow, 8 cops sitting around with nothing better to do then harassment of 2 cameramen! And it was the 2 sergeants being the most confused about the law and their role in it! The state gives you authority to enforce laws not your feelings, your percieved false sense of safety and not suspicions unless you are able to arriculate them! It is not your job to harasse and or intimidate cameramen with 8 officers unless you want to replace serve and protect with Tyrants who collect another form of tax and violate rights and harasse the public

I suppose speed limits are negligible in Pines because I’ve never had the pleasure of sharing the road with a cop going less than 15mph over the limit. Certainly not the cop who nearly struck my dog and I when I was crossing the street in the big curve in Chapel Trail a few nights back. Neither his sirens nor his HEAD LIGHTS were on. Quite literally had to scoop my 70lb dog up and dive out of the cross walk to avoid being hit, because at that speed he was driving, we would have been killed. Why don’t the people who enforce driving laws know how to drive?

Just read about this department's mishandling of the Nia Whoms case. Frightening how they ignored the rights of a 13 year old who was falsely accused of a bomb threat. They need to be thoroughly investigated & someone needs to lose their job.

I was able to speak with Officer G GARCIA and he was so nice he paid for my drink and snack at 7-Eleven, because I left my wallet on the car. Please have the police chief congratulate him immensely as he is the real superhero

Thank you for all you do for the city of Pembroke Pines and it's residents, your hard work is appreciated. My family and I are much safer here than where we grew up and the dedication of the officers I've encountered is remarkable. Thank you officers.

I’ve been living in Pines for 5 years and I’ve had small car accident, car broken into, and witnessed some identity thieves committing a crime....... each and every single interaction that I’ve had with ANY Pembroke Pines Police Officer has been a positive one full of information and help. Even on Nextdoor, the app for your neighborhood happenings, there’s an officer on there providing useful info and feedback to the community. I’ve lived in Chicago, Minnesota, Orlando, Tampa, Miami and several Burbs......... I’m sorry but there’s no police like PPP!!! Thank you for being what you’re supposed to be and need to be for our community 😁

Officer Purrone was absolutely wonderful. I had to file a report for a stolen ID and debit card and he made the whole process so much easier than i expected. he answered all my questions in a clear and direct manner- which i so appreciate because tbh i don’t know much about laws & my rights lol. I’m just so grateful he took my case ♥️ THANK YOU OFFICER PURRONE

2 weeks? I understand the reasons for qualified immunity but 2 Weeks is negligent. Qualified immunity needs to be revoked for this case.

The pembroke pines police as usual takes sides with the wrong instead of their good citizens living on the city for 27 years,!! And this is not the first time they do it...w out factsv police officer Guy sided 150 % w some incompetent chipotle workers who even came out from the back room kitchen to scream at me. Harrased me , taunting me and laughing at me. Making fun of me and discriminating me!!! Officer guy did exactly the same thing the chipotle people did...he denied me of my rights to defend myself siding with the chipotle people who lied to him bcs therevwss never a disturbance. It was an argument that the chipotle people fid tvwant it to be confronted witt
