We have a large group of 12 adults and are on day 3 of 3 of ordering from here for breakfast. Fantastic coffee, great pastries, and yummy croquettes. Although the croquettes came out slightly less than warm (we picked it up and drove 15 min), the value of them were extremely affordable. Further, the pastries were fantastic and we loved it. Would come back if we are ever back in the area.

Ordered a supposed cuban sandwich and it was more bread than meat. The pork was small pieces of shredded pork and the ham was one piece only folded in half. The grilled chicken sandwich had no flavor. It was served on an XL hamburger bun. The spinach empanada had more potato filling than it did spinach. The flan was tasteless. All in all, the food was terrible. Will never go back again. When it used to be Vicky Bakery, it was awesome. Now...it leaves a lot to be desired. Will not be going back anytime soon.

My favorite bakery. People if you never stop by you must they have a big selection of bake goods from pasteles, pastries made with fruit, meats or cheeses to sandwiches, fresh cafe con leche y fresh squeezed orange juice to beautiful cakes pork legs on special occasions. You won’t be Disappointment. They have several locations in broward and Dade county. it’s a most try.

I’m at the pickup window outside and even though the workers can clearly see me and several of them have passed by and have seen me waiting no one has taken the 10 seconds it would take to pass me my order. In the picture you can clearly see my order to the right.. the white bag tied in the plastic bag. I truly don’t get this place and why they purposely behave so horribly though I suspect it may be because I am black. Edit: it’s crazy once I left the window after I was tired of being purposely ignored they closed the window directly after they clearly saw me leave. The picture's I've posted is deceptive because it would lead you to believe the store is empty, but there are literally 3 women out of view behind the counter and there were like 3 more workers to the left of the cafe dining area out of frame; one actually directly came up near me to grab a bottle of milk from the mini fridge 4 steps away from me. I just purposely took the photos to illustrate how absurd this whole thing was while they went out of view. For anyone who is black your money can be better spent elsewhere as this place is not very welcoming, but to each his own. I'm not even mad (I already got my refund for my uber pickup), but it's just kinda sad and amusing that they'd go so far just to exclude me. It would have just been easier to hand me my order and act hospitable to get rid of me. Glad I can use this experience to warn others I suppose. ✌🏾😩

Worst bakery in Miami!!! What a horrible experience!!! After waiting 30 minutes to call my number I received the worst food ever. There were flies flying around the store. Flies inside the coconut pastries. The coffee was reheated. It was not freshly brewed. It came from a pitcher. I asked for coffee without sugar and I got the sweetest coffee ever. Since it came from a pitcher of old coffee. I asked to please change my coffee but the attendant needed to help the next customer. The guava pastry I ordered was soggy and the dough taste uncooked. This store is very unsanitary! I ended up throwing away everything I purchased. The quality of the product and service has gone from bad to worst !

Terrible 😞 They charge $7 dollar for a egg and cheese no ham not scrambled asked for yellow they put white cheese 😞 its like a place your order but have it there way 😂😂😂 i’ll pick Dunkin’ Donuts for a breakfast sandwich over this 😉$3.75 and to add cream cheese on it .50 more ✌️ Sandwich over priced and terribly put together! Coffee only here all donuts 🍩 hard as a Rock 🪨 what’s the point in cao ? To open as many trash spots as possible and over charge and not make how we want? And sell stale pastries 🥮? Come on sonebody pkease make a better Spanish spot !

This is the second time in 2 weeks that I ordered 2 sandwiches to eat there and one comes out 20 minutes before the other!! I explained to the girl that took my order that normally when you go to eat out and order several meals they should all come out at the same time and her response was that they are very busy and they are just interested in getting the food out... I decided to explain to her that by now, my sandwich was cold, and even if I had eaten it, I couldn't leave until my friend ate!!! When I asked for the manager, she said that it was her!! Not Good customer service AT ALL!!

Excellent variety of pastries and desserts! They always have a great assortment and everything’s delicious. The only issue is that it always seems understaffed so you have to wait quite a while in order to get your order and that has definitely stopped us from visiting a few times

IF YOU ORDER ONLINE FOR PICKUP, MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ORDER. THE COOKS MAKE YOUR ORDER AS THEY SEE FIT. ASK FOR EGGS OVER EASY, THEY'LL DO IT SCRAMBLED CAUSE THAT'S HOW THEY WANT YOU TO EAT THEM.

My review of Cao Bakery is long overdue, but in reality, I would have scored them a 5 if I had reviewed them earlier. I'm a returning customer that orders from this location on a weekly basis and I imagine I will be doing so for as long as I live in the area. The food is generally delicious and very satisfying as well as one of the best values I've found. My $6 steak and eggs breakfast with coffee included is my go to when I want breakfast AND lunch as it's quite filling and enough for two portions (at least for me). I almost always use the CAOFRIENDS coupon when I order online for pickup and that allows me to save another 25% - I believe it's valid at the register too if you mention it. There have been two times when my order wasn't ready upon arrival and one of these times it took more than 20 minutes to resolve. I wasn't thrilled, but things happen even in the best of times. We occasionally order the desserts and baked goods and have all been satisfied. The staff seem as if they stay busy, but have always been friendly. See y'all next week :-)

So I’ve been a customer at this location (NMB)almost everyday for 2 years, and I will no longer be returning. I order online (usually only coffee) for the reason to just be able to pick up my order and go, since it’s a busy location. We’ve had issues with the customer service here the most, along with the coffee tasting rotten at times and having to go back to get it exchanged/refunded(huge inconvenience,). But trying to just let those moments slide because we love their coffee usually & food the few times we get it. But today was one of the worst experiences, I waited at the pick up window for literally 25-30 mins , not being acknowledge by the ladies inside that made eye contact with us numerous of times, so we even went inside to let them know we are here waiting twice & the lady I spoke with named JANELY said one moment , and then continued helping other customers that got there way after us and never came to help or get someone else to help, so she literally ignored us after we let her know twice. I don’t know the purpose of ordering online and having a pickup window when literally no one attends to it. The attitude & service we experienced today isn’t worth spending my money here no more. Lost a loyal customer.

This past weekend, my friends and I stopped by CAO to grab lunch. They always have good food and the service is great. We basically all were in the mood for a Cuban sandwich! They have a great selection of sandwiches, pastelitos and wraps. But I prefer a good Cuban sandwich myself. And the a cafecito. Easy parking. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance.

We had a great response from server handling a nasty customer today. Staff was very professional and on point, letting the rude customer know our rights. We celebrate business like this!! It is not about racism or discrimination but, being educated and polite. High five to CAO administration for keeping America free. The cake and tray of mixed pastelitos were super fresh! First time visiting you guys at this location and my experience couldn’t be more positive. Keep it up guys!!!

Unfortunate and sad, it was 2pm today, and it was 102 degrees outside, inside the premises there is a large and empty room, with only 5 tables with people seated, I asked the employee if they could bring a small table inside from the front, and went to consult the manager, who answered her, hidden in the back, NO. Then I wanted to stand the heat outside, but the fans weren't working, that's when I asked the employee if she could call the manager, but the manager didn't want to show up. The truth is that they could take better care of their clients, that with these small details, they would be very happy to get there and come back and recommend them, but it seems that it is not important. The room has a billboard capacity of 55 seats, but they prefer to leave the place empty with 5 small tables against the glass in front, and if it's over 100 degrees outside, you can enjoy a cake for dessert and turn it in a bowl of hot soup!

We stopped for Cuban coffee drinks, hoping they would taste better than the average bakery/café in Miami. The coffee was great! It's definitely better than the chain-store coffee we expected. Combined with the pleasant, efficient servers, our visit was a great morning treat!

Nice location. But the service is terrible. And if your order online make sure you check your order because they forgot half my order and I've been calling to let them know but of course no answer. What was my 20% percent tip for?? I recommend driving to the cafe in Hallandale Beach, very nice girls no matter how busy it and always excellent service.

Yesterday I went to pick up my online order that was supposed to be ready at 8:45am. When I got there, I was made to wait while no one attended me or even acknowledged I was there, then had the wrong tray given which made me late to work. When I got to work I realized the ham in the bocaditos looked gray and slimy. Upon further inspection, they were FULL OF MOLD!! I’m so glad I noticed before anyone took a bite and had gotten sick. I’m so disappointed in my experience, and had to throw my money away because I was too far away to go back and get a return.

Culinary Catastrophe at CAO I recently had the misfortune of having coffee with friends at CAO, and the experience was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. It's evident that nobody in this establishment has undergone proper training, as the staff seemed clueless and utterly incompetent. The first red flag was the complete lack of culinary skills exhibited in the kitchen. It appears that the chefs at CAO are not acquainted with the basics of cooking. The dishes were tasteless, poorly executed, and lacked any semblance of culinary finesse. It's a wonder how such a place manages to stay in business when the fundamental art of cooking seems to elude them. But that's not the worst part—prepare yourself for a sugar overload. It seems like CAO has an obsession with dumping excessive amounts of sugar into every pastry and cake they offer. If you have a sweet tooth, you might be able to tolerate it, but for those who appreciate a more balanced and refined palate, CAO's desserts are a saccharine nightmare. Now, let's talk about hygiene—or the lack thereof. To my horror, I discovered flies leisurely enjoying the Food display (i added a video). Yes, you read that right—flies, those tiny winged creatures you definitely don't want near your food. In summary, CAO is a place where culinary incompetence, sugar overdose, and questionable hygiene practices collide. Save your taste buds and your stomach the agony—steer clear of this culinary disaster.

I want to love this place but every time i get a chance to come here they always find a way to disappoint. Their food is great but the service is borderline racist. I am a Hispanic woman and whenever i receive any pickup orders from here i wait usually 5-10 minutes. My black boyfriend has a complete opposite experience. I’ve witnessed the workers completely ignore him, I’ve watched as they will take all the other customers before him and he’s waited over 30 minutes for a simple pickup order! Believe me, once i stepped to the window MY wait time was 5 minutes. I am utterly disgusted by this behavior!!

Bought a cheesecake and it was dish! Also got spinach and garlic empanadas (I think) were really good, so much so, that they have been on my mind since and I will be going back for more! The service was a bit slow but very helpful and nice!

If you like tasty desserts and delicious sandwiches, good coffee etc. this is the place to visit. Customer service is nice everything is always fresh. Why I say that is because they can’t keep most of their products on the shelves. I was waiting and no the wait is never long. You take a number well organized, customers is ordering so much that when I first came I taught by the time they get too me they would be out. How wrong I was that guy the baker man he keep bring out fresh bake stuff keeping the shelves well stock. Look don’t take my word for it go try them out and see the wide selections they have and taste for yourself. I promise you will be back….;-)

Tasty but too expansive. 4 small sweet pastry for 3yo kid - $10. If I wanna eat - I need like $30-40 to be full.

Cuban American Original (COA) was a great quick fix for that post running hunger! I ordered The Original and some pasties to give this cafe/bakery a real taste. The Original was broken down between the dish, bread and coffee. The dish was a 7/10, the eggs were a little lacking but it was eggs with ham and it’s hard to mess that up. The coffee with milk was a 7/10, I expected the coffee to taste stronger. The Cuban bread with butter was a 9/10 with a good amount of butter and toasted and the bread was still soft which was nice. The pastries that I picked were the tequeño with cheese (Colombian) and a baked and fried empanada (both ham and cheese for grading fairness). The all the pastries were a bit on the colder side and the tequeno was not melted which was a let down. The empanadas crust was on point but the inside goodies were a bit of a let down so it earned a 4/10. Overall the restaurant/cafe looks nice for a quick meal and the presentation is great too. The food experience was nothing out of this planet but for a quick fix, it hits the spot. Overall a 4/5 star is well fitting and I would recommend AS A QUICK FIX! But I’ve been to better places in Hialeah if I am being honest. Happy eating :)

Coffees are great but the Service is trash, if you’re a non Spanish speaker who is trying to order ahead you will be on hold forever or when they decide to hang up the phone. I literally was trying to order a cake for an office birthday party. This lady picked up and said she only speak Spanish I asked her to get someone who speak English she never return just put the phone on the counter you can hear everything on the background.. management needs to work on the customer service a communication skill of its employee because if that’s the case what’s the point of having a telephone to order ahead.

I’ve been coming to this place for the past 2 years and their first staff were amazing, they were very friendly,Bilingual, offered quick service. Now most their staff are younger and rude, they won’t even address you while you stand in line waiting over 20mins, service is incredibly slow, not having a single person on the staff that’s bilingual during certain shifts is an issue because they get your order wrong. The coffee used to be made really strong and now there’s a lack of consistency all around. I really hope they retrain their staff. Giving it 3 stars because I hope it gets better.

I am new to the area and I stumbled upon this Bakery & Cafe. Delicious fresh food all the time. The pastries are amazing. Piece of advice, due to the business being constantly busy, expect waiting time being longer than usual. This concern was communicated to the staff. They were very understanding. Other than that I will continue to visit this location.
