This food is so good I was starting to get mad eating it knowing I cant have this everyday.. this is definitely worth the 25 plus minute drive from Fort Lauderdale

Wow! Just wow! Hands down to the chef! The food tastes like Cuba! Tried Vaca frita and Ropa Vieja and it was delicious! I’ll be back!

Man, I don’t know where to start. I see these great reviews on here and makes me think I’m crazy. Loved how clean and modern the restaurant was and how nice and attentive the staff was. Unfortunately, the food was as close to awful as you can get. I had the Bistec enpanizado and it was really over cooked, not to mention there was barely any steak inside. The beef was just about as thick as a slice of ham. It was all breading. My two sides were moró and Fufu de plátano. The moro was full of “raspa” and I don’t typically mind some raspa but nearly the entire rice was raspa and tasted stale and old as if, it were from the previous day. The fufu de plátano was probably the best thing I had. It was very good and flavorful. Feedback from others I was with: the arroz con pollo was very greasy and had a unique taste that made it taste odd. (I tried it). The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The pork just didn’t taste fresh. But didn’t taste terrible. The rice was the same (burnt/dry) full of raspa. The tostones tasted like frozen tostones. The vaca frita was the most acceptable of all the dishes. The black beans and white rice were also not bad. I gave it two stars for the environment and the kindness of the staff. But I unfortunately won’t be coming back to this venue.

When in Pembroke Pines this place should be in your radar. I read the reviews and they are spot on. My wife and I were visiting from out of town and we were not disappointed. They serve traditional Cuban cuisine with a homemade flavor. Family owned. Staff and owners are attentive and their menu suggestions were incredible. Thank you Mundo and Camille. Hope to visit next time we are in town.

New restaurant and our first time here, the look of it was nice and clean the staff was friendly. The food items we ordered was very good. One of their specials was beef stew but it was done like Oxtail style which was outstanding. We also had their roaster pork and it was tender but it could of needed some salt I hate to say it. We also ordered the meet pie and that was excellent. My wife ordered chicken soup and she said it was very good. I had their fresh lemonade and it was very good. Now their Cuban coffee not so much very disappointing considering they are Cuban. But we will be back. We been living our this location over 21 years and unfortunately we have seen to many good restaurants not make it in this same location but hopefully management knows how to bring new customers in and keep them. Good Luck!

Had high hopes but they were not met. Restaurant smelled like a sewer had backed up in it. Disappointed in the drinks selection, very few wines by the glass. Piccadillo and Pork were very bland and Piccadillo had a ton of grease in it. Will stick with Havana 1957 instead. On a positive note the service staff was very good and attentive

Kind of empty place but don't let that fool you, the food was amazing. Also the lack of a big crowd probably is because this place just opened and is farther out from the main road. Glad we tried a new Cuban place. Much better than Las Vegas and Romeu's Cuban cuisine nearby IMO, the food was much better seasoned, esp the pork chuletas and ropa vieja, not plain at all. The mojo chicken was also bangin'. The yucca con mojo was just soft enough, not undercooked. Ernesto was attentive. Will come again!

Great atmosphere and taste. The best churrasco in Broward County. The meats are excellent in quality. Their menu is well balanced, and portions are sized adequate, capable of accommodating the most exigen palate. When it comes to deserts, they have many to choose from. I will recommend the 3 leches and natilla catalana. The staff made me feel welcome, and at no time, they rushed me out the door. I will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you.

The food was so good. Everything we ate was delicious. It is much better than what Romeo has become. We liked it so much that we have gone back twice already. The one thing that was not very good was the Cuban coffee. I happened to love cuban coffee, but both my son and I agreed that we would not be having any here again. They have a very beautiful machine, but I don't think they have dialed it in or know how to really use it. Other than that, I can't wait to go back for the food and dessert.

DECEPCTION; ORDERED Thanksgiving meal for 10 with pork , moros and yuca and it was pretty good; the manager told they were having same special for x-mas and New Year. My family and I enjoyed so we ordered again for x-mas. SURPRISE; SURPRISE; NOT ONLY DID THE PRICE WENT UP; THE TRAYS WERE WAY SMALLER; AT LEAST 30 OR 40 % SMALLER; INFLATION WITHIN 30 DAYS? DECIEVING. Photo (left) thxgiving; (right) x-mas

The quality of food is excellent. We ordered the Oxtail and Lamb Shank and it was delicious. Cooked excellent and extremely tasty. A gem in West Pembroke Pines. Kudos to the chef.

Ordered for pick up for my whole family spent over 200$ and the food sucked. Masitas de puerco hard as a rock and 3pcs for 14$ French fries old and soggy tastes weird like they haven’t changed the oil in their fryers. Serving portions are so small looks like a kids plate. Ordered Boliche and it was so sour it was not tolerable. Ordered a ropa vieja and received it in a small plastic container its incredible what they charge for the servings. Overall bad food. Small servings.

Heard about this place from some family members who said it had good Cuban food and I heartily agree. My lechón asado was delicious and the service was very good. Food was reasonably priced and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it. If your looking for good Cuban food in West Pembroke Pines look no further.

Best Cuban food place in Pembroke Pines. Do not trust bad reviews. Several visits with my family proved to be fantastic. Friendly staff, excellent tasting fresh food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

We ordered take out and food was ready really fast which was great. We ordered ropa vieja and vaca frita which was pretty good. The yuca and mojo lacked flavor which was a little disappointing. They went a little light on the mojo. I would try again the next time I’m craving Cuban food.

Bright and clean dining room. Amazing and attentive servers. I brought my grandmother with me (who is hardly ever satisfied with restaurant food) and she really enjoyed everything. She had pollo a la plancha with rice and beans. I had vaca frita with moros and tostones. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be coming back!

Came in for the boliche is been over 25 years since I had that dish since is not really a typical Cuban restaurant staple is more of home cooking like carne con papas o quimbombó stew , man it didn’t disappoint, the presentation was great also the tostones were amazing black beans thick the way is supposed to be , first time here definitely will be back

This food is so good! I kept seeing people on the Neighborhood app taking about this restaurant so I decided to try it. I got chicken with onions and rice and black beans delivered to the house. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. The black beans were seasoned well. It was EXCELLENT. I was so surprised that it tasted so good because normally food tastes better in the restaurant. I can’t wait until I eat here in person.

We were looking for a new Cuban restaurant in Pembroke Pines online and saw this one. Read the reviews and thought we'd give it try. My wife is from Cuba and so were our friends so they'd know if it was good or not. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Nice friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.

First and last time I will dine in this restaurant. Chicken was dry and lacked seasoning rice tasted like it was reheated from the previous day the fritters were burnt to the point it was not edible waiter could care less about feedback. On a positive note the can of Sprite was the only positive experience from this establishment. Not sure where the 4-5 stars are coming from perhaps people don’t know what real Cuban food should taste like?

  • 5/5 Iris O. 1 year ago on Google
For sure, definitely how I remember, my adopted moms seasoning. Was on point.. indeed the beef stew had ox tail flavor without the spice. Can’t wait to have the ox tails., service on point, nice atmosphere with a clean environment. Will definitely good over and over again..I’m probably going to wake up and eat my leftovers in the middle of the night. Happy content

👍👍 If the food from this restaurant was entered into a contest worldwide it would have to be immediately disqualified. I have traveled the world eaten food all over the world. This place is in a league of its own! I have never in my life had better food than this restaurant! Our server LOLO was AWESOME...
