Erica Mitchel who works the front desk was amazing. My flight from Boston was delayed and I missed my connecting flight. I was given a voucher for the Dello, I arrived and was greeted by Erica, extremely polite, professional and helpful. She took the time to go through my options and help me arrange a ride to the Miami airport the next morning. It was very late when I arrived and I was very tired from the day of traveling and now stressed, but thanks to her everything was sorted and I was able to get another flight and make it to my destination on time. Thank you Erica The hotel was very nice, room was great, and it had a bath. I would recommend it if you are looking for a place in Fort Lauderdale and it’s only minutes from the airport. I do NOT recommend Spirit Airlines.

Perhaps my expectation of customer service is high…..but wow. Our first welcome to this hotel was arguing with the front desk about our reservation. Which ended with him laughing and saying “oh I was looking in the wrong place”. Our room was charged twice after assuring us that it was just a security hold. Now waiting 5 days before getting our money refunded. Not even so much as an apology. And don’t even try to speak with management as they are just in the room behind the desk providing answers to the newly hired front desk. Stains on our pillow cases and on the walls in our room. Never again.

We spent 5 nights here and requested a cleaning 2 days in a row. They assured we will get a cleaning after 2 days and nothing happened, requested the cleaning again next day and they said our room is on the board, no cleaning again. So 6 days and 5 nights later we didn’t get a single cleaning, room was with a lot of sand, we had to go ourselves to get clean towels from font desk every other day and when we complained about this situation the front desk person was really rude with us. Not coming back to this Hotel again.

Very comfortable rooms and recommended. Excellent for airport layover and deserving of Hilton accreditation. Was able to work comfortably in my room. Only issue I had was communication between staff members. On my latest visit, despite having a late check-out at the front desk, two members of housekeeping had to knock on my door on two occasions to know if I was checking out that day and that it it was a late checkout. The housekeeping manager stated this was doing her job, but this never happens at hotels. On another occasion last year, the shuttle driver did not check the shuttle log book so she could be available to pick me up, and almost made me miss my outbound flight. I recommend anyone who stays here to eat at the Fish Grill, 3-1/2 blocks away on 1st street - excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had no issues whatsoever. Check in was easy and front desk guy was very helpful and friendly. Lobby area was beautiful! And very spacious as you can see from the photos Our room was also very spacious! There were a few things that needed attention like for instance there was nowhere to hang the towels in the bathroom because the hanger thing was broken/missing. The bathroom door would not stay open which was a little annoying but nothing too bad to deal with. Bathroom and bedroom were both clean and beds were very comfortable. There’s also a mini fridge in the room - no microwave but there is a microwave downstairs in the lobby area. Plenty of extra space in the room and storage The pool area was small but very well kept and beautiful. We did notice that there were no umbrellas so if it’s a sunny and hot day there’s basically no shade unfortunately. Parking is free which is always a plus, specially in Miami where they want to charge for everything! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again

Really Nice hotel. Was very disappointed though that there was no continental breakfast. And the breakfast that you had to pay for really want that good. Service at the breakfast area was also not very friendly. But the rooms are nice and the shuttle driver from the airport was very nice and informative.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I absolutely would. Run away to any other place that is not this hotel unless you like unprofessional staff all the way up as high as their regional front desk manager. I’m beyond disappointed with how I have been treated and how all front desk employees have managed my situation which it should have been an easy transaction. First I placed a reservation yesterday and upon realizing that the hotel was too far from where I needed to be I called not even 20 minutes later to cancel. The lady at the hotel stated that reservation has been canceled and no charges will apply to my debit card. I called back again to make sure the reservation was canceled and that I wouldn’t be charged same lady stated “I had already talk to you and told you this has been canceled already” in a very rude way and unprofessional. This morning I checked my account and the hotel charged my debit card $140. I called the office and the front desk agent stated that “ we charged a no show fee” I went and explained that I called to cancel same day, he stated that unfortunately there is no managers until 11PM to refund the money which you guys shouldn’t even have taken. I have two small children who go to bed early but I stayed up anyway to call for a refund at 11pm. I was in shock when I called to front desk only to be told that the manager had been there all day and left at 10PM. WHAT UNPROFESSIONALISM!! I am beside myself that a business as big as this hotel line will not have someone with the capacity to fix issues like this and not to mention how unprofessional and how much training is needed for these employees. I myself work in a customer service job like them and I would never treat anyone with such disrespect. This is absurd and it has created a HUGE issue for me as this is my vacation money that was supposed to used for my kids for this vacation(to include paying for my current hotel which I will now have to cut short) I hope you can understand and will refund my money right away or some type of compensation at this point will be great. I have lost money and time calling back and forward to your hotel including speaking to the “Regional Manager Sam” who was just as unprofessional.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Dello. The location was convenient to the airport, dining and shopping. My room was spacious and clean. My only recommendation from this business traveler would be to have rooms with a desk or table and chair to work at a computer. The staffers I encountered were exceptional. Tiffany at the front desk was personable and helpful in answering questions. And Jose the shuttle driver was an extra special treat since I work in the Virgin Islands and is is from there. Both were affable and provided great service. Great stay!

Very Clean lobby, checking in was easy and fast. Garage parking was safe and secure although there is extra $10 per day charge while traveling that's not listed on the website. The room was spacious with comfortable mattress and pillows. There is an outdoor pool on the second floor which looked very nice (we didn't go on it). Checking out was friendly and easy. They have breakfast that you can order from but it's not free. The Shuttle bus to the airport runs every hour and is fast. Overall a great stay with friendly and courteous staff.

I was conflicted with the building. The curb appeal and lobby entrance were inviting and comforting. I quickly noticed there was no air conditioning the lobby. The front desk rep assured me the room would be fine. There was no AC in the restaurant, elevator and hallways. This was less comfortable with evening arrival. However, the next morning the restaurant was 88 degrees and i was extremely comfortable eating breakfast. I ran back to my room to cool off. The room also had some challenges. The shower curtain fell while taking a shower as it was secured properly. The show stall had cracked calk most of the way around while the wall had cracked paint. Lastly, there was a dirty iron with a non-working steam feature. I hope hotel management can address these issues as this was missed opportunity to make a loyal return customer of me.

The room was ok and the location is good for the airport. We took the hotel van to the airport and due to a broken seatbelt receptacle, my buttocks were punctured right through my pants, ruining them. I immediately let the driver know and called the hotel front desk to report it. My wounds took 3 weeks to heal and scars remain still after 6 months. I called the manager 3 times to request a refund for my one night stay as compensation for my pants but he wasn’t available all 3 times. I emailed him twice with pictures of the wounds and got no reply. I called Hilton Customer Service 4 times. During the follow-ups by the Hilton Customer Care team, the manager told Customer Service that he didn’t understand what the concerns were and was unwilling to credit me for the night’s stay. Finally on the 4th call to Customer Service, the representative gave me a gift certificate to offset the cost of my (expensive name brand) pants. Draw whatever conclusions you wish as a reader. We definitely won’t be going back to stay at that hotel.

Nice hotel, nice stay. Within walking distance of a few places to eat and feels like a fairly quiet neighborhood. Staff was exceptionally pleasant. Nice bar area and food was decent. Breakfast food was good but not free which bugs me but not to the extent I wouldn’t revisit. Waiting for shuttle was kind of a pain and took forever because airport was busy but the driver’s personality made up for it. Didn’t use the pool but it was super cute and looked relaxing. Area was pretty small so likely could be crowded. Room was comfy and clean! Only pet peeve is glass shower enclosure is not for those of us that are height challenged! Really need to lean on to turn water on and try to not get soaked with cold water! Overall excellent stay and I would definitely stay again!

This is my second time at this location and definitely will not be the last. The customer service is great and this is one of the very few places in the area that doesn’t charge you a resort fee or a parking fee. Location is convenient if you need to get quick to the airport, beaches, port, Hard rock Casino, Dania Casino, nice breakfast spots and more nearby. Erika at the counter (night shift) on Thursday and Friday September 28 & 29th) was AMAZING! She was very kind and accommodating from the time I made the call to check availability for a very late check out with my son due to an early appointment we’ve had on Friday and we were driving 2 hours south to stay there. We are FL residents. Thank you Erika!!! The lady who unfortunately I didn’t get her name on Friday and Saturday Morning shift at the counter was also great and nice. I was very pleased with both of their service at the guest counter.

This is my 2nd stay here under a new name. Free shuttle to and from airport and a shuttle offered to cruise port for a small fee makes this very convenient. Nice area with plenty of eating places and a brewery. Rooms were very spacious and modern. Bathroom and shower great. Only complaint was they no longer serve breakfast for free and there was no coffee or even flavored water available in lobby which would have been nice.

A fine hotel in a good location. No frills at a pretty expensive price. Like others have stated, we wish the showers and the room's temperature were better. The shuttle service came in handy and the staff and shuttle drivers were very friendly and helpful. Cool restaurants in walking distance.

Hotel is very clean. AC kept shutting off on its own day and night, very annoying as room got warm when we were sleeping. Went to the bar for a drink, asked what kind of bourbon they had, bartender started naming off all the different types of liquor they had (vodka, rum, whiskey, wine, etc.). She said she was new being a bartender and young, but come on you're doing a job.

I liked that this hotel was new and not far from the airport. That was the only plus. I was highly disappointed with the parking. There is an attached garage. It is extremely small so guests have to utilize the nearby city garage. I I didn't consider this an issue until: 1. Having to walk back from the garage to the hotel a black in the dark. I didn't feel safe as the garage was experiencing construction so the entrance and exit closest to the hotel was closed. 2. This wouldn't have been an issue if there was security present. As I found an elevator to go downstairs (the stairwell was creepy), I saw a guard I assume was a city employee or contract a distance away. The gent was distracted by his phone or another device. It would have helped if he was closer to the side of the street of the garage. I didn't feel safety was a priority during my stay. Heck, staff was missing when additional guests arrived. Just weird. I'd pass on future stays.

DISCLAIMER: I stayed here for one night before getting on a cruise ship at Fort Lauderdale. We drove to the hotel, then drove to the port to leave the car. A good portion of my ratings for hotels are based off the bathrooms. This is because showering away from home is already a very uncomfortable situation, so the bathrooms must be in tip-top shape to improve the rating. BATHROOM: Not awesome, but fair. The shower didn't have a door - but rather, half a glass wall. The shower head had no pressure and couldn't be turned, so I had to stand inches from the wall to reach the water. The towels were extremely rough and came ✨️pre-stained✨️. Needless to say, I absolutely hated this bathroom and the way it was set up, but luckily I didn't have to stay for very long. ROOM: The bed was comfortable - the mattress/pillows not too soft, not too firm. I do prefer firmer pillows, but I didn't let this affect the rating. The window was huge with a fairly decent view. The TV was large and the nightstands had an outlet on them, for easy phone charging. AREA: There are a few decent places within walking distance of the hotel. Definitely aimed toward locals, but good food. The area definitely isn't "great", with random shopping carts full of indistinguishable plastic bags/garage or bus stops with broken glass, but nothing terrible or frightening. PARKING: There is NO ROOM for parking! The parallel parking spaces at the front are available to those who had booked a room. If there's one available - TAKE IT! The "parking garage" to the left has maybe 8-10 tiny spaces. If those are full, the only other parking available is the parking garage next door, but ONLY the 3rd floor. Good luck!

Nice hotel it’s right by the airport about 10 min away. The food choices got so much better they have a lot of different stuff even salmon that’s always good!! The only thing I wish was better is a later check out for diamond members cause they only give the standard 1 hour extra like if I wasn’t a member! Other Hilton hotels give you more and even ask if you wanna leave at a later time cause of your flight they will work with you. I ask the lady at the desk for a 2pm check out cause normal check out is at 12 noon she said that would be an extra night charge hopefully they will be better in the future with the late checkout

The staff at Hotel Dello is so friendly and accommodating. My organization hosted a conference here in Fort Lauderdale, and Hotel Dello was by far the best choice for value, location and accommodations. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and make our stay, rooms and meeting space comfortable. The facilities are clean and attractive, and they are in the process of remodeling all of their rooms. It is so conveniently located close to the airport, but also within a few minutes of some great restaurants, the beach and the everglades. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a place to stay!

Front desk, bar and kitchen staff were superb. Rooms are rough and need a lot of maintenance and updates. Our bathroom door would not stay open and had severe water damage. Housekeeping is a farce. Had to call second day judt to get refresh. Most housekeepers were in same room for over an hour talking on phones. Pool area is nice.

This is a very nice hotel and a great value for the price. It’s in a great location about 15 mins from the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I was coming from a cruise and I needed somewhere to stay that day until my night flight. This was the only hotel that was close to the airport that would let me stay for the day. This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are big enough to fit several people, nice hardwood floors, bathroom with tubs. I would definitely stsy at this hotel again

After waiting 45-60 minutes for the shuttle, we checked in and proceeded to a room with a broken A/C. We returned to the front desk to wait another 45-60 minutes since no-one would answer the phone (the front desk clerk took that long to check 4 groups in). He assigned us a new room after we had to assure him we had not disturbed the old one. At this point, all the local restaurants (including the hotel) had closed. At approximately 1:30 am a man entered our room. My panicked wife yelled at him. He was a guest that had been assigned the same room so he apologized and left. We went back to the front desk the next morning. The employee now working said the manager would be there at approximately 10. She also said all employees were previously aware of the A/C problem with the first room. She even accurately told us what room we had been assigned without looking. We returned after Darvis, the manager, arrived but he would not come downstairs to speak with us. We waited over a half hour for him. We ended up leaving our phone number for him to call because we finally had to go to the cruise ship. We received a voicemail the day after we left from a different manager while we did not have cellular service and could not receive or make a call. While waiting on the manager, we also discovered the night guy had screwed up our request for a cruise port shuttle (this kind of shuttle has worked great for us approx. 15 times in the past). I was appreciative the hotel employees called and got a shuttle until I discovered the van was overcrowded (driver broke a wheel on our luggage trying to slam/squeeze it in). He also charged us $45.00 for the ride. A taxi for that distance would have been much less. Most of my complaints can simply be attributed to lackluster service. However, letting a stranger into a hotel room at 1:30 am is totally unacceptable.

Where do I start? There wasn’t a bell cart available. My 80 year old husband and my 62 year old self had to lug 4 bags & two small service dogs in carriers to the elevator, into the elevator, out of the elevator and down the hall. The drapes on the window were broken and needed to be held closed with a piece of furniture. The room didn’t have a hair dryer or washcloths, soap or body wash; just shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. How do you bathe or wash your hands, with shampoo? The waitress in the restaurant was constantly on the phone. The phone in her hand and an earpiece in her ear. Beyond unprofessional and just plain rude. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was supposed to be pork roast and ham & cheese. It was two small, dried out pieces of pork roast you could have soled your shoes with on a dried up roll, no ham, no cheese. My husbands burger made a regular McDonald’s burger look generous. I was forced to give the waitress a tip, because it was added to the bill. We were exhausted and had a very early flight so didn’t have the energy to argue. We live in Pompano Beach, had a 6am flight & wanted to be closer to the airport. It was such an unpleasant experience, I’d been better off to stay home and get up 3 hours earlier. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if they paid me to do it.

I stay at this hotel anytime I am working in the area. It is clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. No place is perfect because it's not home but they make you feel like you are visiting a friend. They are working on the hotel but it didn't affect my stay at all. I have seen some real messes when hotels are going through renovations. Love the size of the rooms even though the bathrooms are a little on the small size. The a/c isn't right by the desk but rather in the ceiling which is a huge plus for me. I will continue to stay here whenever I am working nearby.

Nice hotel. Friendly front desk and maid staff. The hotel is clean and well designed. It's walking or close drive to a lot of restaurants. I thought the parking was bad initially then i found out theres a garage next-door for the hotels use. I would have rated it 4 or 5 stars but the restaurant made me realize this is my last time staying here. The waiter/bartender was low energy and inattentive. The cook was nice and inviting but we werent impressed with the meal. At least not for what we paid. I ordered a NY strip and my wife ordered salmon. We split an appetizer and had sparking water. It cost us over $100 before the tip. The meal was worth $40-50 at best. We like to stay at hotels that have restaurants but we'll pass on this one going forward

The lobby/dining area is nice The beds were clean. There was an issue with the tub and the water dealing for the first 3 nights of my stay. I spoke to the staff twice. My issue was resolved the 3rd time when my room was changed. I was happy to finally not have to take a shower in a pool of dirty water. It took me about 30min to move my stuff from one room to another. That unconvinced me a lot because my drive was waiting on me. I called every number the phone had to contact staff and no one ever picked up the phone. Great place for price but dealing with the tub for 3 days was unacceptable.

Customer service was excellent! DeMontay and Valerie were awesome! They made sure that my stay was comfortable. They even gave me ideas for local dining. The bar attendant was also very nice and upbeat. I can not remember his name but he was from Colombia. The issues that I had was with housekeeping. The sheets had an excessive amount of hair on them. The bathroom had pieces of trash in the sink as well as hair. There was debris in the sink. There was an oily substance on the floor and on the dresser in front of the TV. The night stand had a spill on it and it had dried. Very disgusting. The hotel in general was great but the issues in the room due to housekeeping were less than admirable.

We travel to this area often. Not a bad stay, but definitely our last. ONLY hotel/motel we’ve ever stayed in that does not have free coffee in the lobby. Not available until 6:30 and the snippy woman at the overpriced breakfast area tried to charge me for it!!!!! Fortunately we found a great breakfast place nearby. Will look at other options for our next visit here.

Overall fairly uncomfortable. Room was warm and wouldn't cool down. Only went down 2 degrees after blasting the AC all night. They must have been doing some minor construction below my room as there was an awful drilling noise from early in the morning. Shower did not have a door, so water sprayed everywhere. Bathroom door closed on its own, so I jammed it open with a towel since there was no fan. Bed was nice, good pillows. Clean, big room; nice lobby. I won't be staying here again.

Loved the hotel. Felt modern but also homey. Every Front Desk agent (ie. DeMontay, Jason, and the nice lady who checked me in at night) was extremely helpful and personable - even at 2AM. The in house restaurant was still open when I arrived after 10PM. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy! Also offer free shuttles to and from airport just call them to schedule once you land/when you check in. Shuttles are on time.

We overall enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice sized and clean, but overpriced. The tissue dispenser was empty and there were only 2 towels and 1 washcloth for 2 people for 2 nights. The gentleman working the desk on the night shift was very rude to everyone, but the rest of the staff took great care of us. Very nice pool area, great location within walking distance to alot of great local restaurants! Coffee was great, but the breakfast food was not good at all. All of the items were precooked and frozen then heated, the fruit for the mixed fruit cup consisted only of melon that wasn't very good. My suggestion is for the hotel to offer Hilton Honor points or the food credit each day.

1st time booking at this hotel. My room was great and clean, no noise from the the other rooms, however you will hear noise from the traffic but not bad, bed was very comfortable, parking ....I think they should notify their guest at check in where the overflow parking is located, place sign garage is full, so you don't have to back up all the way out and around a curve. The young lady that checked me in on 9/9 during the evening.....no customer service at all, cold and short and not very welcoming!

Ended up staying here after our flights were delayed and we had to make accommodations through our airline to spend the night in Florida. The front desk employees were extremely helpful and made our stay here a breeze! Demonte was able to make extra accommodations for us the following day and we couldn’t possibly be more grateful for him and the rest of the staff here! We have definitely enjoyed our stay! The hotel is extremely clean, modern and our room was very spacious! I would def come here again

The rate was a bit much. However the location was great for food, Beach and family needs. The shower has no door so we used a lot of towels to keep the floor dry. The beds were soft and clean. Front desk staff was always helpful. And they had airport shuttle service. The pool was great as well.

Stayed here for a night before meeting up with some family. Good place to stay! Close to the airport and pretty close to the ocean and some night life. The staff was very friendly. They have some basic food and drinks at check in that you can charge to your room which is nice. They have a pretty big lounge area and a small bar. The bar isn't staffed all the time and the guy doing the front desk had to pull double duty because someone didn't show up. I think they are having staffing issues. Either way, he was friendly and making things work. They had a pretty slim drink options too. I would definitely go back. It was a bit pricey when I went but not any more than any other place.

Clean hotel, nice room. But my expectations of what customer service is wasn’t met. I understand it’s the spring break weekend, hotel is fully booked, front desk is always busy, but when I kindly asked for a pen, the front desk man didn’t even looked at me and just handed a pen. The breakfast station is operated by ONLY 1 lady, on the spring break weekend???? wait time is horrible to get food. Food was okay, nothing outstanding for the price.

-Room is NOT very clean. -Bathroom is so SMALL -Walk-in Shower area is so narrow and not long enough for only 1 panel of the bath glass cover, which made the whole bath wet during the shower. -No hot water/coffee at the lobby -Elevator is so dirty. -Hallway to the rooms is so dark. -Hotel parking is limited to about 15 cars but the hotel would arrange more parking spaces at the other parking lot opposite the hotel. -No floor mats and the hotel is running out of floor mats for supply. -Not worth as a “ COLLECTION” of Hilton.

Very happy with our stay. We settled in for a four night stay. Staff was very attentive to any need we had. Felt very safe amidst this pandemic. They've taken the reasonable steps for cleanliness of the property. Thanks

From the bottom of my heart, pick another spot. They could care less about you. We didnt have a good experience at all and they will leave you waiting for the shuttle in the airport and you might have to just uber to the hotel even though you have to pay for that parking in advanced and it is supposed to include the shuttle. Then they act like they “forgot” to send it. Bull.

  • 3/5 Daniel D. 2 years ago on Google
    - Very rudely told that the shuttle bus does not run after 1130 even though it's posted it's running till 12. (Had to pay for a cab from the airport which I did not plan for). Lady just hung up on me when I asked why the website said different. - some staff are nice and respectful but others were quite rude. - AC filters need replacing, the thermostat literally says it needs replacing. I woke up with a stuffed nose each morning. Also AC barely even worked - Definitely not the safest for families, even in lobby at times but surrounding areas included. - Room looked nice, but certain things were stained and some parts felt poorly cleaned. I'd say it's a good hotel for a one or two night stay, but don't expect much compared to other Hilton's at this price.

  • 3/5 Francis K. 2 years ago on Google
Honestly, this hotel didn't live up to my expectations. I'd never stayed in a Hilton Tapestry Collection hotel before, and I was excited to try one. The place looks great from the outside, but my room was quite the disappointment the walls were marked up in multiple spots, even though it was a simple paint job that could be touched up easily. Also, the A/C kept shutting off in the middle of the night, so I kept waking up overheated and having to turn it on again. Free parking was nice, but the lack of a gate on the garage was a bit concerning. There were some nice food options fairly close by, some in walking distance.

This hotel is AMAZING!! From the moment we arrived it’s truly been a five star stay, the Hilton way! Anna checked us in and we were blown away by the hospitality; even though she had a lobby filled with guest, she was calm, polite, and greeted everyone with a smile! On our second night, Keisha was absolutely the best-we needed to get a new key, parking pass and I feel like we bugged her a lot because she was dealing with a lot of guest calling, checking in or just being rude to her but she was soooo friendly, helpful and moved everyone along fast! The customer service is just amazing! For the first time in a long time I don’t have a complaint about a hotel room! Our room was clean, big, comfortable, relaxing and truly lived up to our expectations! Thanks, Keisha, Anna and Hilton for an amazing two nights!! We’ll definitely be back!

New hotel with modern amenities. The room is large with functional kitchenette and a large bathroom. Everything is clean and new. Hotel is well kept. Great private pool deck with a nice pool. You will have to park in the public parking lot directly behind the hotel, as their own parking garage is limited to only 10-15 cars. However it’s literally a 2 min walk to the hotel and is complimentary so it’s not a big deal. They lock the doors to the hotel in the night time so make sure you carry your key card or use you phone app to get in, the surrounding neighborhood isn’t the best for night time strolls.
