I’ve been wanting to try this place for years and today was the day! It exceeded my expectations! The restaurant is very clean, spacious and well-maintained. Our server was pleasant, nice and gave awesome food suggestions. We tried the pancakes (delish!), chicken & waffles (super delish), Blueberry Blintz (omg, delish!!!) and hash browns (crispy yummm). Loved, loved my experience and will absolutely be back!

Food is good/okay. Services, not so good. I started with 4 star than changed to 1. Now, I want to put - 1 star for adding automatic service charge 15% and suggest put tip as well. I understand service industry is suffering due to employee issues but this is not right. With terrible service and automatic service charge on top of bill. NEVER COMING BACK!!!

Why have I not been here before?! Pembroke pines needs better breakfast places and I found it. So tired of the terrible quality of cracker barrell, this was great food and also the service exceptional! Had Jose as my server and he was on point and best service I have gotten in a long time. Janus the manager also stop by to make sure our experience was great. Oh and the food! Everything was cooked perfect

We spent a decent amount of money here and as 1st time customer, it's left a bad taste for us. We ordered three different omelettes (1st: Greek Egg White, 2nd: Veggie Egg White add Feta, 3rd: Egg White with onions). 1st one is fine. 2nd one we got a Plain egg white omelette with NOTHING Else. 3rd one we got Egg White Omelette with onions and cheese. We never ordered cheese on that one and we didn't get the veggie egg white omelette with feta..BUT they charged us for the Veggie + extra for Feta cheese. They also decided to charge for oreo topping when we only asked for Chocolate chip pancakes (we knew there was an upcharge for chocolate chips. They also added two seperate service charges! Service charges for what exactly? We had to come inside to pick up. Then the lady asked my husband if he wanted change back and him not thinking, said no. Later on did he see the receipt and the additional charges for 'Service Charge.' I tried calling them but they are closed now. It's bad business imo. We are loyal to Elly's Pancake House in IL and now we will go elsewhere while here in FL. I have attached pictures of all three omelettes, pancakes, and the receipt.

My s/o and I went for breakfast and originally everything was great, our waitress was kind and quick and all the food looked wonderful. We ordered strawberry pancakes (s/o) , fruit lovers french toast (me) , and chocolate strawberry crepes (shared) . Everything tasted great until we tried the crepes however, they tasted bitter and had a strange banana type flavor to them. I usually like bananas myself but this tasted wrong. So we flagged down the manager and tried to explain the situation, this is where the actual issue started. The manager was rude to us and "stubborn", we tried explaining that something tasted off with the crepes but all he was asking/saying was that that was what we ordered, and we got what we ordered. Shortly after he left us without helping in any way our waitress came back and we tried explaining the situation to her and she was overall helpful and tried to go get the manager for us. After this the manager came back and we tried explaining once more that something about the crepes tasted off but once again he ignored our complaints and was just saying we were given what we were ordered. We decided to just give up and pay our bill and when we got home we both were feeling sick and my s/o actually ended up throwing up. We also got charged extra for whipped cream we didn't ask for. Overall an awful experience, most likely will not be going back.

The Original Pancake House since 1953 has been one of those staple family breakfast spots for the ages. With extremely large and fluffy pancakes and plenty of breakfast options, this is definitely a spot to stop by on a weekend with the fam. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. Weekends usually have a 15 minute wait around 10-11am but it goes by pretty quick. The service is fairly fast to get you the food but they do sometimes take time to bring you the check at the end of the meal. I definitely recommend trying the veggie omelette, pancakes and frech toast. Huge portion and extremely filling. I'm happy that I can say I've been here now after years of hearing about it!

Jose was our server the last 2 times we came here. He is outstanding; He is always super pleasant and happy to serve us. Nothing but positive vibes. Also, the food here is amazing! We love their waffles and freshly squeezed orange juice!!!

I'd never take time to write this review if the food was not worth it. Not only is the place tidy and homey but the food is to die for. personally, i always go for the crepes, cannot find another place to compare. My server Adi, she is incredibly sweet and never misses to always have my cup full with hot coffee!

Can’t get better than this place. The best customer service. Nobody ignores you here. Nobody rolls their eyes.There’s a heavy crowd on Sundays so beware. Come as early as possible. Nobody makes crepes like this. My happy place.

After catching a morning movie, we needed breakfast and explored the area, and found The Original Pancake House. On a Sunday, they were busy. We expected a wait but were quickly seated upon arrival. The booths are best best seats in the house we even though there's a cool counter space. The value of food and the portions are great. The omlete was massive. The grits weren't my favorite. The pancakes and bacon had a homely vibe and were really good. I'll have to revisit to try other menu items.

Update: Gave it another try after 3 years. Still 1-star for us. :( Original: Finally got to try this place after driving by so many times. Calling themselves The Original Pancake House, I had high expectations for their pancakes of course. I could not believe it when I tried it. What a disappointment. It was that bad, nothing special about it, tasted just like raw dough. They charge an additional $1.25 for Nutella, but the Nutella was so dried and had such a weird form, that it was impossible to spread on the pancakes. My son loves French Toast and he only had 2 bites, couldn't keep going. It was super dried. I also ordered their Spinach Benedict and I was expecting pouched eggs, but the yolks were completely cooked. Let's not talked about customer service, it's non existent. Terrible. This place is also overpriced for what they offer. We are a family of 5, and we paid $70 for a mediocre breakfast. Not worth it.

Breakfast selections are huge, so you can definitely find something. Yea, it’s also difficult to choose something. The Greek omelette is really good and like baked so it’s fluffy. Good and coffee were really good

Friendly and fast service (Gaby) and delicious food. Portions are huge, the pancakes with fresh strawberries were good, but the go nut French toast was awesome, fluffy inside and crunchy outside. Biscuits and plenty of gravy were very good.

Gio is one of the best servers ever. Her warm welcome and bright personality is everything. Keep her at all cost.

Very good breakfast stop, they have all the expected items. The coffee was hot and the service was good. We don’t go out for breakfast much as a family but the kids loved everything too.

I have been coming here for many years. The food is always good. I have never had a bad breakfast or lunch. My server Gabby is the best. Friendly , courteous, and a great attitude. Thumbs up and five stars.

I’ve come to this location plenty of times. It’s usually “typical”. That was not the case today. I had Richard as my waiter / staff. He was very helpful/ professional and observant. My coffee was refilled without me having to waive him over. He made sure everyone at the table was good. The balloon lady is also a nice touch as well.

We love coming to this location when we're in South Florida. The staff is always friendly, food is fast and delicious. Today's trip included the most perfect "scrambled soft" eggs I've ever had and top notch service from Gabby. We'll definitely be back! Plus, I'm addicted to the whip cream. They make it in-house!

Amazing service and quality food here at the original pancake house ! Our server Jose was top notch! Provided hot coffee the whole visit and offered us great options ! We are so happy we came back to our favorite location. What a great Sunday brunch !! Thank you to Jose for the unforgettable breakfast!

Good casual breakfast dining. Think of it as a step above Denny's with more interesting options like baked omelette. Prices average about $15 per dish.

Ordered for the table was Nutella and m&m pancakes, steak & potatoes, French crepe & the ham and cheese omelette. Our server was the sweetest her name was Isabella. Super attentive and helpful. Food on the other hand wasn’t my favorite! I like my pancakes fluffy and these pancakes were flat and dry. The crepe was a let down all it had was sliced strawberries inside. It came with a syrup on the side but it just left to be desired. Potatoes were good! I loved the ambiance felt homey and old school.

Our birthday boy picked breakfast and The Original Pancake House did not disappoint!! The staff was very nice and was easily able to accommodate our party of ten. Isabella was our waitress...She was very attentive, very sweet and always made sure we were good throughout our visit. The food was very tasty and quick to the table too.

First off, I've been a fan of this place for a long time....I used to get Eggs Benedict here all the time with family. Love the home fried potatoes too! I must say, this time around the Holinsauce was a little sparse and had very little taste to it.... I'm used to it being a little more yellow and a slight taste to it to add to the eggs B! One other thing to remember, they now add a 15% gratitude to the check automatically-so add more on if the waitress/waiter is good. Anyone with back or neck issues bring a cushion, the booths and seats here have little to no padding! Sets my back off fast! Be safe all...happy holidays! Charles

We go there every Saturday to have breakfast. We find this place very nice. We have been attended by very efficient ladies. They are Mayi, Gaby, and the last one we met was Isabella. They go way and beyond to please their customers. They make the process of ordering and serving quickly .They are always attentive to the needs of their customers. This professional attitude makes customers feel like coming back. They are an asset to this restaurant. Please inform them of these comments.

My husband and myself have not been here for years but this past weekend we decided to give it a try. Thank goodness we did as we were very impressed with our server, Isabella. She was so lovely and very helpful and such a pleasure to have someone like her working at this pancake restaurant. We told her we would definitely be back to eat there because of her, well the food wasn’t bad either.

Gio, not only are you breathtakingly gorgeous you’ve fulfilled every last desire at pancake house. From the way your hair flows when you took my order to your funny accent. Thank you for a wonderful brunch. 💋

My server Isabella was wonderful. The food was amazing as well. She was very attentive and refilled my coffee often. I had huevos rancheros with a side of ham steak and hash brown. My daughter had chicken and waffles.

When the family drive by here on Sunday we were scared because there’s was so many people waiting outside, we had to park at the restaurant next door and the wait was 35 minutes long, we weren’t going to stay but we felt like if this many people were outside waiting it must be good…..Omg…..it….was….the….best….. Our server Isabella was cute and sweet very polite and I couldn’t get over the fact that she was so adorable. Managers Janus and David were very aware of everything going on and helping out the employees at the same time they seemed happy. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of toilet paper available. It smelled good and the dining area was clean as well.

My wife and I come here for breakfast often after tending to our horses nearby. We can’t get enough of the fresh orange juice and great pancakes. Gaby too great care of us and get the food out quickly as well.
