It's
becoming
more
and
more
difficult
to
justify
the
high
rates
to
stay
in
the
future.
I've
stayed
5
or
6
times,
around
Thanksgiving
every
year.
I
come
here
for
the
atmosphere,
history,
and
nostalgia
--
'having
the
time
of
my
life'
--
it's
a
wonderful
trip
away
from
the
DC
metro.
Sadly,
the
Thanksgiving
policy
(must
visit
the
Wednesday
thru
Sunday
entirely)
has
me
coming
earlier
instead
of
looking
forward
to
a
holiday
in
the
mountains.
I
was
excited
to
experience
the
recent
add-on,
thinking
it
was
a
floor
to
ceiling
window
view,
but
only
to
find
out
it's
a
double-decked
outdoor
seating
that
can't
be
enjoyed
year
round.
I
think
increasing
the
electrical
grid
to
accommodate
mini-fridges
in
each
room
should
be
considered
in
the
future.
The
food
is
adequate
but
not
deserving
of
the
high
prices
that
you
would
see
in
the
city.
The
trio
of
musicians
has
been
a
nice
add
while
you're
dining.
When
I
first
started
to
visit,
there
were
scheduled
events
(again,
for
Thanksgiving,
so
that
my
be
the
reason)
but
I
have
found
not
much
is
planned
in
recent
years.
I'd
rather
stay
on
the
mountain
and
participate
in
activities
because
driving
that
road
in
the
dark
is
not
fun.
