Amazing Island !! One of the best tourist destination island in the world. Home of Moto GP. This island is located east side from Bali, who already first knows by international tourist as a best tourist destination on the World. But this island is not less than Bali, Except less traffic ! Authentic, Cheaper & friendly. If you are looking for more wild and virgin nature.. so,this island is the right place to visited.! Lombok...a thousand mosques island.

I like Lombok and Gili island , more chill and relax here , no traffic jam , fabulous local food , words and photo can’t describe much , you got to come here and see it yourself .

The recent earthquakes are a terrible tragedy to have hit this beautiful island, parts of which are a small slice of Paradise. I was there 3 weeks beforehand and highly recommend exploring the beaches in the south of the island. Pantie Ann is a difficult SCOOTER ride but well worth the effort, and more touristy Pantai Selong Belanac is fun. The small cave between Kuta and Pantai Mawun is definitely worth 2 hours of your time as is the Sado Tourist village (see photos). Only had 1 negative and one bad experience. Negative was the overpriced Kila Senggigi Beach resort, and bad was serious food poisoning from eating at Gulas Garden restaurant - eat there at your peril!

Lovely island with lots of different terrains Came here with no expectations how ever was impressed by the absolute beauty of the place. It had different attractions at different points. Beautiful mountain in the north to beautiful beaches in the south . So beautiful and unique that some of them were the best I've seen in my life , especially pantai tomang omang. Lots of lovely masjids , which are very beautiful and the best part was trustworthiness of the people here, it was so surprising to see the kindness and helpfulness of the people here. No one is out here to loot you or your money. People are genuine and I'm afraid that it has spoilt me cause I absolutely loved the behaviour of the people. One if it's kind ,island. Mind you the smaller places are not the best in facilities and food can be an issues , especially if you aren't used to it or if soy sauce dosebt suit you. Over all the beautiful is breathtaking and stunning. Won't mind coming back here one day. Would do it again !!

This little island reminds me of 10 years ago Bali… It’s a beautiful island with rich resources there. Everything is still remain in “natural”, no much of business. You can totally enjoy and release your stress on this island! I believe this island will bring lot of tourist in the future, this is totally a new born diving paradise or honeymoon destination after BALI! If you want go high, they have Mount Rinjani (Indonesia third highest mountain). If you want do down, explore the underworld city in Gili island! Plan a trip to Lombok, you will find what you want here!

Lombok is my favorite place so far. This island has so much to offer from beaches, mountain, friendly people, good food. I think Lombok is better than Bali, not many tourists and more quiet. I Left My Heart in Lombok 💙

Beautiful island with paradise view and excellent hospitality of the peoples here. However, i also found it nasty because u can find trashes in every corners of this island and animal's dirt on the street.

Dirtiest place on earth! It's a shame what the inhabitants of this paradise do to their home! I've seen plenty of Indonesian people throwing plastic out of their cars while driving - such a poor behavior which will definitely cause a lot of problems with tourism soon or later! Plenty of beaches I went to were full of trash, so no joy of swimming or to even see them. Great infrastructure though - it was 99 % fantastic everywhere I went to in the north and the south - really impressive that Lombok has a better streets than Bali. If all the trash wasn't on every single corner and beach.... Disappointing place, I won't come back again! Please understand what you do to your blessing, Indonesian people!

Lombok has been amazing island that we explored. We sailed around the island and took motorbike ride. I enjoyed it so much because most of the people especially in the villages are so nice. They are so geneuin. The nature is also mesmerizing. I once had one sleepover in a local house with a family instead of sleeping in my bed in the sailing boat. In the morning we had breakfast with delicious meals and we went to feed the cows. It was superb. I also met many artisan who worked really nice arts. Another random things like visiting the wildlife park, staying in Marina, servicing the motorbike, trying local food, teaching local kids, and many more. Thanks Lombok, it's been amazing experiences!

Incredible island with beautiful views

Lombok reminds me of how Bali was 30 years ago. Still developing & has a rural feel but can imagine it taking off pretty soon. Much quieter than Bali, lovely beaches.

Lombok is my home, and it's very beautiful place where you can go to exotic places in a minute supported by the area of the island is not very big. And also it's very Muslim friendly place since most of the people here are a Muslim so don't worry if you can't find a mosque to perform shalat here.

Mainly a surf destination, relaxed mood, good restaurants, if you like to travel and explore places in the interior part of the island this may not be your preferred destination when traveling from Bali because the main attractions are the beaches.

Beautiful lombok , touristic Gili Ilands, (trawngan Air and Meno) and Kuta area . central and north lombok is very authentic, almost no tourism. beautiful beaches , and perfect for snorkling and diving.

Beutiful island with beautiful beach more than Bali and not to crowd

Poor infrastructure, Mataram is an ugly dirty city. Once out of traffic jam east and south coasts are nice but nothing spectacular. We enjoyed the super friendly, welcoming people where. Car Ferry service unpunctual, dirty and too many annoying sellers on ship.

Lombok is one of the most beautiful island in Indonesia. Local people are nice, food is good, you have a variety of options from local food, to Western food, beaches are stunning and there are nice hiking and waterfalls around mount Rinjani. There are different surf spots to all levels.
