One of my favourite places to visit when I am in portugal. Each year they have improved more and more and you can now actually spend a whole day with the family here. They have turned the areas by the river into a small beach area where people can relax and go for a swim. You can hire peddle boats to travel the river. They have a platform where ppl/kids can jump off into the river. There are 2 bars for drinks and snacks and also a restaurant to serve full lunches and dinner. At night the bar stays open and they play music etc. I visit casa do rio everytime i go to portugal! The owners are super friendly and so accomodating.

Although is quite a good place to be, the family that runs the business, takes quite a good advantage on prices regarding the bar zone. The prices are quite astronomical regarding the area of the country where they are in comparison to other good places around the same area. Go to Termas de Alcafache, it's near and you get a lot of coffee shops for a lot less, a good swimming zone with a place for picnics for the whole family. Enjoy a lot more for less. The view is a lot better also!

Beautiful place do visit

Very cosy place, with an amazing vibe in a very relaxing place, the views are amazing and has free parking.

Took forever to serve us without any other costumer present. Beach is closed only for paying costumers
