Beautiful place. Food is terrible. Went for a work function and was so disappointed by the food. My salmon was riddled with bones and was dry, my asparagus was burnt and my mashed potatoes were lumpy. The dessert was chocolate cake which was about as dry as the salmon. For a members only club in center City Philadelphia I truly expected much more. Also, slightly disappointed with the wait staff, they were slow and seemed inexperienced. Multiple people looked my way and no one came to get our dirty plates.

    1. Beautiful clubhouse β€” Horace Trumbauer masterpiece with a bunch of squash courts, pool, amazing basement bar, and two really cool ancient sports: rackets and court tennis (aka real tennis). 2. Friendly members β€” low-key place where you don’t talk shop. 3. Great staff β€” competent, friendly, with a can-do attitude. They figure out how to get it done.

I go here for a weekly meeting held in a downstairs room. The place has a faded elegance that is palpable. It is grand and gives you a bit of that old world elite feeling. Unfortunately, the food always comes out late the temperature is a bit off and the water glasses are dirty. If it wasn't for the great ambiance it would be a two star place.

NO POINT to consider or for Google to even display this as a hotel option. Racquet Club IS PRIVATE with a membership fee that only makes sense if you are joining long term. (Think country club). Their reservation system allows one to make a reservation but it's cancelled and you're notified at their convenience.

One of our favorite places to photograph stunning couples that get married there. Just this past December we had the chance to capture the love of two incredible people that got married at the Racquet Club.

Nice place but make no mistake: they are NOT wheelchair accessible or friendly. Stay away if you use a chair otherwise be frustrated by no accessible entrance or bathrooms. A ramp too steep for safety, leading to a step at the top is not accessible. And it’s in a dingy back alley.

Lived there for two nights as a guest speaker for an industry event. Absolutely lovely - comfy beds, squeaky clean almost everything, and the waiter is unbelievably helpful, butlers maybe. Also an amazing indoor collection of art.

A truly remarkable spot. We worked with Jim Weber (Director of Events) and he went above and beyond for our alumni reception. Jim ensured that our event was perfect. He worked with us every step of the way to make sure that the flow was good, the space worked and that we had enough support for the day of the event. He was "boots on the ground" the whole time and made sure the staff all had what they needed. He is easy to speak with and makes sure that the venue puts the customer first. The space itself is so clean and very interesting (in a good way). There is so much history behind the location and it is so interesting to see. Overall, if you are doing an event in Philadelphia, The Racquet Club of PA is the place to do it. A wonderful spot with fantastic staff!

Amazing facility for squash, court tennis and racquets. The four story building has a pool, women’s and men’s lock rooms, several dining facilities and beautiful open event space. The staff is incredible, and members are able to enjoy a spacious, welcoming environment for sport and social affairs.

Loved staying at this beautiful clubhouse. Wonderful service, great spaces in which to relax, exercise, eat and drink. Central to everything. Lots of old world charm. Highly recommended.

An amazing facility with a rich history, the RCP is a gem for racquets sports enthusiasts. Always cherish my visits there. The history behind Court Tennis is as fascinating as the game is challenging.

Went for wedding in January. Setup was ideal for wedding with multiple rooms each offering a different setup like lounge, live music, vintage items of Racquet Club. Building looked great and the security fella was super friendly. Rooms are extremely small and you can everything down halls. Squash courts and basement with pool table looked decent. I wandered during wedding.

Drove to Philadelphia and set up reciprocity club usage to have lunch. Very bummed it was a far from an elegant lunch venue. I will say our young lady that brought our sandwiches/lunch was delightful.
