This is a staple of the Peoria Area. This bakery is very highly spoken about for their bread, cookies, cupcakes, cakes for any occasion, and quality of their products. I personally don't see anything uniquely different from this bakery to the next other than the prestige of saying you got it from Trefzgers Bakery. The building itself is beautiful inside and out. You get to see the bakers at work. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas to eat your cookies or brownies at. Make sure to take a number from the number puller in the middle of the bakery if you want to be waited on. It is an efficient way of waiting on customers as long as the customers know that they need to take a number and wait their turn to be waited on.

It's not often you step into a bakery that's been in business for over 160 years! Although it's been in several different locations, the name and delicious creations have endured. A huge assortment of cakes, pies, cupcakes and cookies greet you as you walk in the spacious renovated warehouse size bakery. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the baked goods are always top-notch!

Excellent place, and very patient staff while I tried to choose what to give customers on my visit. The cups cakes and cookies didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to go for customers. The place to go in Peoria.

This is an Iconic place that has been a staple for the Peoria area my whole life. Picked up a party order, they were professional and quick when we picked up the order. I am not a big fan of their cakes and pastries (I love Costco Cake) never have been a fan personally, but I know there are 100s of 1000s that love this place so check it out and either you will fall in love or be like me.

A true five out of five stars or 10 out of 10. Truly special bakery. Everything I have every had has been delicious. Standouts are the orange chiffon cake, marble cake, and thumbprint cookies. They use a delicious buttercream on cakes. Turtles were flavorful and fun. Oreo cupcake was moist and flavorful.

What a unique & exciting bakery! Very reasonable prices too! My daughter enjoyed her cookies, $1 each. Big open seating area, excellent ambience, friendly staff!

Grew up knowing those famous thumbprint cookies! My moms friend gets them for her Bible group often and she brings the extras back to share. Sometimes, she would bring them to me when I lived in St. Louis and should would visit. And once, when I returned from London, she had some leftover cookies and its like comfort food, amazing of course but this is nostalgic too. They always keep clean so I can trust the products from their bakery. Friendly people, over the phone and in person. A proper bakery.

We ordered my wedding cake from here last year. The consult was super nice and the cake tasting was a plus! I got an almond flavored wedding cake and I still think about that cake often. Cake was still good after freezing for a year to enjoy on our anniversary. They delivered the cake all the way to Champaign which was super nice! I hope to get another cake from here some day! They were also able to make some gluten free cupcakes for gluten free guests who said they were very good!

It has been years since I’ve been to Trefzger’s. Happened to be close so I stopped at their new location. It’s as good as I remember. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing along with their danish and coffee cakes. You take a number and are served quickly. You can even get a treat and stay and eat. It’s a great location. Coffee shop vibe with plenty of room to shop.

Trefzger's always comes through with great cakes! I purchase at least 4 to 6 birthday cakes from them every year, several with detailed designs and/or photo scans. Their cake is always moist & delicious and their decorating skills are top-notch. They've accomplished every cake design that I've brought to them, and are also very responsive to e-mails/messages. Trefzger's will continue to be my go-to bakery for years to come!

It was a lovely rainy morning when we decided to pop by. It was lively with multiple other people there making purchases. We plucked a number and got called up soon after. This spacious place had a lot of choices. We got cinnamon buns without raisins and two cupcakes. The lady who took care of us was kind and patient. We will be returning soon not just because our purchase was inhaled quickly by my children but because of the environment. I didn’t feel pressure. I felt like I had the time to choose. The staff gave off the vibe they were happy to be there and enjoyed doing what they do. ( Quite honestly going into a space where everyone hates what they do sucks. This bakery was not like this. <3 ) If I had questions, I felt like I could ask them to the staff. I’m so glad we gave this place a try and look forward to trying more baked goods.

We are local and already knew our cake would taste delicious, but now we know this should also be your number one bakery choice for a beautiful piece of art created by Martha! Our daughter’s wedding cake exceeded our expectations! The middle cake tier frosting lace detail matched the bride’s dress! Thank you Martha for making the wedding so very special!

Free WiFi+ restrooms+ right room temperature+ plenty of tables and free seats. Aesthetically pleasant building in loft style, great staff and food. I am surprised this place is not full of studying students. Maybe, because the bakery doesn't serve fancy coffee. Otherwise 1000% worths visiting. Made me feel sorry I am leaving Peoria. Btw, my cream puff was full of custard cream. Like you couldn't add more. ❤️
