Smells like a ranch. Short walk around the lake not sure of the distance maybe a quarter-mile. Pretty cool little pond lots of people fishing not sure if they were catching. Good view of some foothills in the distance. The dog park looked clean and pretty quiet for a Thursday afternoon. There were several parts to it that were fenced off. Public restrooms with water fountains fairly clean. Lots of picnic tables and also picnic tables with barbecues. Large playground for children with seating for parents. It looks like there’s quite a few baseball fields all clustered together and a very large open field right next to that. There is tons of parking Space separated into several different parking lots. Lots of info signs all over.

Day fishing in Shadows, Evening catfish come out, plastic bait don’t work, hot dogs, cheese, shrimp, cricket, live worms, bugs, and others. Look for the minnows eating on the bank and big fish are sometimes near by

Love this park. Always clean and splash pad is great during the summer... It does get VERY overcrowded mostly on the weekends.. specifically Saturday. If you plan to come on the weekend summer time in plan to bring a camping chair or blanket!!! Maybe an umbrella for shade also during the summer time.. other than a little crowded at times this park is great

This is an amazing park, you can fish, run, BBQ, picnic, play at the water park and playground for both big and small kids, nothing is ever broken and it's kept clean there's also bathrooms which aren't that clean but everything this park has makes up for it. ITS ALSO FREE! Water park is running from 10am-8pm which is perfect

Very nice park. The grass is well maintained and healthy. The parking seemed sufficient. Restrooms were surprisingly clean and well kept considering this is a city park. Lots of open space. Nice size fishing pond. #park #soccer #fishing #outdoors

It's a nice park. But there are a lot of holes on the flooring. It's unsafe for pregnant woman, kids, and just anyone. They definitely need to get it fixed.

This is an awesome community lake. Within my first few casts, I caught a 13" largemouth bass (that I released in hopes of catching it again when it gets bigger!). The city does a great job maintaining this lake.

Some did not work, we went on a busy Easter Sunday though and there were lots of older kids running around, did not feel as though it was safe for my 1 year old, he got knocked over multiple times by bigger kids who were running around.

This park is super. Its spacious, clean, and theres plenty to do. There are three dog parks, all of them are big. Lots of room for dogs to run off their energy. The playground looks like fun. Theres a fishing pond, and a place to clean the fish you catch. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Good facilities, but they must have constant support in the bathrooms, if so many people are going to attend the tournaments, because at 4 pm they are in terrible condition for use.

Pioneer park had a ton to offer! From so many free park features such as the playground, dog parks, kids splash pad during warmer seasons, grass areas, pond fishing, photo ops, and the short paved walk around the pond. There are multiple Ramadas with grills for charcoal. These can be reserved but are open used if not under an active reservation. Parking is amble both by the dog park section, park area, and by the several ball fields.

Park is great for parents who don't want to deal with sand! They have rubberized floor so no messy clean up. There's good size splash pad and 3 different size play structure for different age group. Nice pond for fishing is nearby and dog park as well. There are ramadas to rent for parties throughout the park and big grass area.

My family and I love this park. We come here to chill and watch our kids go wild, there's always someone selling snacks, the grass is always so green, the splash pad is super fun, we also held our youngest daughters 3rd birthday here! It turned out amazing, everyone had fun, we had no problems what so ever! Currently planning a other Birthday here soon for my niece, we can't wait! 💖✨

My kids love this park! Only thing that could use some attention is the playground. Overall, a good park!

  • 3/5 Nancy Y. 2 years ago on Google
The kids area for play is nice. Especially the soft ground they have so when they fall they don't get hurt. However the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. They may have said cleaned every hour but let me tell you that was not happening. There was a toilet that was not flushed and had vomit running from it all over the ground and most of the toilets were not flushed. The sink was just as bad. Water running over the edge of the sink and the water water was running. That place has more germs than covid. It is gross!

Such a great park really fun, waiting for summer so they can have the water park again

  • 4/5 Sherri D. 1 year ago on Google
Great park. Nice "lake", good play areas for kids, separated by age group. There's a really nice splash pad for the kids too. The only negative? None of the doors in the women's bathroom locked right. Not just a safety issue, but it also causes problems when rude and obnoxious women try to rip the door out of your hand while you're holding it shut so your grandchild can use the facilities.

Three playground sets and swings also has a splash pad for hot summer days lots of people walking the pond too such a nice park

  • 4/5 Patrick M. 1 year ago on Google
This park, in our experience, has always been clean and neat each time we get invited to an event there. The drains in the men’s room were backed up this time around as were the drains at Ramadas 2&4. Would be great if the lights in the restrooms were on an hour before dusk, it gets dark in there a bit before the light outside. Nice lake and playground equipment seems well cared for.

  • 5/5 Veronica E. 1 year ago on Google
Big spacious park with a nice large body of water to take a walk around. Plenty of ramadas for birthday or party events. Water play area is a great plus. Love taking my kids here.

Love fishing here at night with my friend. We have met so many kind people. Learned so much about fishing here than anywhere. The sunset Is gorgeous this time of year.

We had the best time. There are plenty of shade trees to sit under for the parents. A really good crowd. I highly recommend it!

  • 5/5 Amanda W. 11 months ago on Google
Very clean, a lot of open space and plenty for the kids to do. There’s a lot of canopy covering for when it gets too hot and once mid April hits you’ve got the splash pads for the kids to keep cool. For those with small children, just be aware there’s a lake a few yards from the play ground. Be mindful not to let them wander too close.

Nice place to walk, fish, play Pokémon Go, or enjoy the mini water park when it's hot; good security, clean!

  • 5/5 Stephanie B. 9 months ago on Google
They have a free mini water park that my kids love to play at, plus a great playground. Fishing is allowed with permit. Pavillions available to rent for parties.

  • 5/5 Peter G. 8 months ago on Google
I go to the dog park side. It's great to exercise my dog and also to let him relieve himself. The big problem with this place is a lot of people don't pick up after their dog.

  • 4/5 Jesse W. 9 months ago on Google
It's a good park. It has a splash pad, a good play area for older kids which is unique and fun. A younger kids playground which is also very nice. It has lots of fields nicely mowed for playing football or soccer and fishing, no license needed for kids under 11 (I believe check the sign). Only real criticism is that the splashed should be open earlier. It opens at 10, but it is already extremely hot by then. Opening by 8 or 9 would be better for families to enjoy when it is 100 degrees and not 110 degrees

  • 3/5 WhiskeysPaw 6 months ago on Google
I don't know much about the park, as far as the whole thing. I only go there to take my dog to the dog park. People don't pay attention to their dogs. There is poop all over the place. I overheard someone didn't like someone's dog and made treats. That doesn't make sense to me. Why go to the dog park just to sit and judge other people's dogs. Stay home then.

Fantastic Ball Fields! Great surfaces in a park that sill can be considered "newer". As a city park it should be managed with improvements in mind, however nothing can be considered the case. Warm-up pitching swamp is unusable. Fenses are bowed from hitting and pitching use as backstops. Most parks ban this!, perhaps the replacement cost will motivate management to IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS in protecting this wonderful park FUNDED BY THE TAXPAYERS!!! Guess that selling it's community as a destination was more important than taxpayer destination . Good park that would look forward to continuing to come to while maintenance is addressed

It's a great park for taking walks around the pond and the ball fields, the fishing is great for catfish in the evening and I've seen a lot of them caught there. And yes it is great for the kids with the swings and water splash and all.

The park is beautiful as is the water splash pad... however it is the groves of people who don't attend to their kids that I would give this visit less than a star for. Kids peeing on and in the slides, hitting others, cussing at adults and in general just being really unbelievable.
