Beautiful park in Central Peoria- a former golf course repurposed into prairie paths, many native trees and flowers, ponds with Geese, tree groves where you can find owls and deer etc. Kids enjoy one of the former sandpits now filled with trucks. Check out CxT coffee, the Noshery, Cyds in Park or restaurants in junction city close by. If you’re visiting Peoria, Grandview Drive is a short drive or bike ride away and a must-do.

Make-a-wish walk for the cure event was held here. We went to help drive this organization mission forward to not only grant wishes but help support the families and all involved. Some of the make-a-wish children were there and it was exciting to talk with them and have them explain what their wish was and what their favorite parts were and so on. Hearing the parents story was enlightening and heart breaking at the same time.

Great spot for photographers. We got our pictures done here last week. There is a public observatory, mowed trails and plenty of areas with wildflowers. Cyd’s is located here and is a great spot for family or friends to meet. Sometimes they have live music and they have a large outdoor dining area, food is spectacular, service is great, string lights, and they have play areas for kids and some adult games.

Nice park, well kept, prairie grasses, observatory, ponds, picnic spots, trees for hammocking. Only real "downside" is lack of paved paths, but definitely doesn't take away from the experience of such a nice park in the middle of town

This is a nice park in the middle of the city. Plenty of green space to walk or run. There are various sculptures throughout the park. The park is also good for cross country running. Donovan also is an accredited Level 1 Arboretum. Northmoor Observatory is also located on the grounds. In the winter people use the park for cross country skiing or snow shoeing.

A beautiful, easy walk. Like playing a round of golf without the profanity. The low profile pooch Penny, gives it full wag and wiggle marks on the puppy friendly terrain.

This place is amazing. Huge wide open space with plenty of quiet paths to walk through that pass through trees and garden areas. They also have an observatory here that is a must to visit if it's a clear night and they are open. The park has small ponds for catch and release fishing. I have gone here before to launch model rockets from, lost the rocket in the tree but it was a lot of fun.

We go here often for exercise and to enjoy the environment when we grab a bite. The park has put in various statues and put picnic tables around.

Just a calm quiet park. Used to be a golf course and has a conservatory. Cyds is also on location with dining.

A great place for walking the dog. Mowed paths and fields among meadows and trees in this reclaimed former golf course. Saw a golden eagle and eastern bluebird here.

Beautiful green space! Just love how it made me feel like I had gotten away from the city while still in the city! I will be visiting again soon!

Donovan is a magical place, especially during golden hour and dusk. The lighting bugs in the summer sit in the trees and meadow grass and twinkle.

It's a nice park, but it's kind of like a golf course with not as many trees

This is a great place to take our dogs to walk. Almost every time we go, we see a deer or two, and plenty of bunnies. Great place to enjoy nature and have some quiet time. We even introduced one of our grand dogs to the park this last Friday.

Great spot for a picnic, the sandpit is our favorite. We had an Easter egg hunt for our group of kids with our friends. Great to walk the path from here over to CxT roasting company at Keller Station. Many walk their dogs here, have photoshoots, and eat at Cyds in the Park, exercise and more. What a beautiful bonus to Peoria! It's safe, clean, and well maintained.

Awesome cross country course. Great place for running. Very close access to the Rock Island Greenway if you're looking for a flatter surface to run on.
