Maintenance service is really bad. Living without Air-conditioning for more than 2 months now. Have raised 4 service requests by now, they just keep closing them with response that the unit has been ordered and has not arrived yet. We currently have a hole in the wall covered trash bag and duct tape. :) Its 89 degrees outside. NOTHING takes more than 2 months to arrive in this day and age. Have a roof leakage in bathroom since August 09 and already have raised 2 service requests for this as well. Maintenance team visited and confirmed yes its leaking from the apartment above and they'll check with them, after that again no action. Still waiting. The management staff have "Not My Problem" attitude and the only response they have is "That's how it is." imagine getting this every time.

Place is nice but the leasing staff is rude and management doesn’t care about you, they just want your money. Have had multiple issues since moving in and most got fixed but we had to really fight for it but still some happening. The staff is never there in the office to help and when they are they are lost or rude most of the time. Management always just makes excuses up. At the end of the day your home should be ready when you move in. Many other places in the area with better service for much less money.

I missed the old Pepperwood :) (Below is a description of what Pepperwood used to be like from 2015 to 2022. It was a great place to be. ) "Everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to finding a place to live. While some rental properties may not be your top choice, it doesn't mean that it's not good for others. I've been a resident at this property since 2015 and the managers of the property have been changed three times. For a new resident to experience such changes at first can be scary because I was afraid the next manager won’t be as responsible as the previous one. However, Goldberg Companies took care of these transitions smoothly by assigning and hiring the right people for this property. *Update as of 2022: The four property managers (listed in order: Blazine, Jordan, Cassie, and Kerlyne) that I've encountered during these transitions are extremely responsible, respectful, and resourceful. They treated my pet and I with respect and care. They also reinforced community rules when issues occur and are not afraid to take legal actions to keep our residents safe. I love the location of this apartment as it's in the center of our city where shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. It’s also a safe place because I have great neighbors and friends living on the same property. While you can choose to go to a laundromat if you have a huge load of clothes to wash, I find the laundry room on our property to be quite helpful on rainy or snowy days. As a current resident, I would highly recommend this property if it fits your personal preferences. If it doesn't meet your personal preferences, please remember it does for others, and that's perfectly fine."

Pepperwood Townhouse is actually a pretty nice place to live, unfortunately they have a maintenance staff that lacks motivation and urgency. Today, we had our first snow storm of the season and the Mx guy hasn't even bothered to shovel any snow or throw any salt. Last year, Ray the MX guy was out there at 6am with the snowblower clearing pathways for those of us who have to get to work early and walk dogs. Salt was thrown and the paths were clear by noon. The new guy couldn't even be bothered shovel the path to the leasing office, shameful. The dog waste cans constantly overflow with waste so if you're walking your dog, you must awkwardly place your bag on top. Yikes! It's a bad look Pepperwood, we got to get it together. The rent isn't cheap here so we expect some level of professionalism, the bare minimum isn't going to do. I hope they send Ray back over, he cared, picked up trash and kept this place looking good. Shout out to Ray!

Washers and dryers are a joke, emailed front office about it all and I got that I had to contact the providers of the washers and dryers. Like prior complaints they smell like mold and DO NOT wash your clothes but instead leave them DRENCHED. Dryers barely dry, you waste your money doing laundry here. Lights don't work in the laundry room, it's been 3 weeks since I've emailed about that as well. There is dog poop almost everywhere you walk because maintenance doesn't empty the bins and the windows and sliding glass doors are horribly insulated so you have to turn your heat UP to actually feel warm in your living room/kitchen. Management is RARELY in office or responds to your complaints. Just moved here in September and it's just a disappointment. You're paying too much for what you're given, look elsewhere. UPDATE: They haven't salted anything since the first snow fall and I've slipped and fallen 2x and my 15 month old daughter has busted her lip walking to the car. You'd think that with the high rent that you'd atleast be taken care of but they haven't done anything. This is all management and maintenance. The light in the laundry room is STILL OUT and the washers still smell of mildew/mold and the dryers are still scamming you and leaving your clothes wet. Your best bet is to read the recent reviews as from what I've seen they've all been mainly bad and regarding the same issues in different buildings. Management needs to Stop being cheap. Update 1/20/24: Nothing salted, nothing shoveled and it's been 2 days of constant snow fall. Everything here is "figure it out on your own" you're paying $1600 a month for literally NOTHING. worst management and leasing office staff I've ever run into. They are SO lazy.

Kerlyne the leasing Manager is very responsive and courteous. Always treats the residents as a priority and with compassion. Communication about the premises is shared in a timely and friendly manner. She follows up to ensure maintenance requests are completed and the residents are satisfied with the service.

I tried to give their laundry washers the benefit of the doubt and I regretted it. First laundry room has a bad smell. Washers look extremely old. Some parts of the washers look like they have black mold. I washed my clothes with the washer and it wasted my money and didn’t properly wash my clothes. There was some brown substance/ or dirt or debris that came on all my clothes from the failed wash. It was just disgusting. The laundry room and the machines looks disgusting. Next time I’ll go to a laundromat like I always do. It’s unacceptable that I can’t use their laundry room and have to go to laundromats instead. Also, they really be doing the bare minimum or mediocre services. They will fool you with “renovated” but trust me service here is mediocre. Also, garbage cans are all the way in the back so you have to walk long distance in the cold to throw trash. Parking is ridiculous. I’ll post pictures of the washers on apartmentsratings website. Google will hide my post if I add pictures here.

This is the issue I have to deal with constantly. The apartment has a drainage issue and dirty water accumulates to my feet in the bathtub. They haven’t found a permanent fix. Since I moved in, I keep calling maintenance to fix this problem. They do a temporary fix and then several days later the problem starts all over again. The same cycle of having to call maintenance to fix. This place is too expensive to have this type of problem. It’s not worth it. Do better and fix problems permanently.

I highly recommend Pepperwood! I have lived here for about 6 months now and I felt right at home immediately. Kerlyne is a pleasure to work with and the whole leasing process was made very easy! Pepperwood has a community feel - safe and friendly residents/staff! I feel safe walking my dog around the property after dark and the building I live in is pretty quiet. The maintenance crew is also very timely and friendly; I have put in two maintenance requests so far and both were answered within 24 hours. Such a great experience so far - thank you Pepperwood!

I would like to thank publicly Trinity, for her absolute professionalism and her patience and her kindness, she was very compassionate and understanding, and she took the time to go a step further to assist my 80yr uncle in the application process. Thank you Trinity for all you have done for my uncle and myself. You’re the best.

Pepper wood Townhomes is as expected like on the website and it is close to the highway and other attractions in Cleveland. The neighborhood is quiet and safe to be around. On the outside, it is keep neat and maintenance are always working to satisfy the needs of the tenants. Kerlyne - The Leasing office manager is very helpful and resourceful. She has been very reliable when I have a problem in my home.
