Visited Hijinx Hotel & Holey Moley Chermside yesterday for my Godsons 16th Birthday. Was a last minute affair as his mates had bailed on celebrating with him and I can't express how AMAZING everything was. His mum had booked our tix online but with no comment section hadn't been able to mention the Birthday status so I made a quick phone call and the concierge on the phone Jack was super pumped to give me a hand & get through to the Chermie staff so by the time I arrived an hour later they were already on it. We were expecting maybe a lil song or a quick shoutout but we got SO much more than that. A personalised handwritten card with notes from each team member on site, complimentary items for the bday boy, interaction from every Gamemaster; we had several wearing party hats burst into song as we left our 2nd challenge room! They took photos for us and when we were done with the challenges escorted us into the eatery section of Holey Moley where a fully decorated booth was waiting and another Happy Birthday shoutout and song was completed - this time with Microphone for extra embarassment points. We got so much service and attention it was really touching. A special sugary Mocktail even got brought out compliments of the house - the Birthday boy (though a mumbly teenager who didn't say much); really could not believe all this fuss was for him!!! Aside from the super megastar status our party felt from Zoe and her team its time to talk about the venue in general - adore the quirky decor, really gives you something to talk about and feast your eyes on. The challenge rooms were great, just the right mix of thinking and doing without driving ourselves nuts. So much fun and gets the heart rate up! Now that we realise there are scores to beat we will be more prepared for next time AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME! The same goes for the mini golf. Loads of fun. Everthing was clean and in good order. Despite being school holidays it wasn't super busy. Our drinks and food hit the spot. Overall just a dazzling experience that I will be recommending to any who will listen. I think I just convinced my manager to hold the Xmas party here 😁 Thanks so much to those who worked 27/6/23 your work has not gone unnoticed. You all deserve a raise!

It is a fantastic experience if you are trying to fill time or wish for group ideas, date nights, and the bonus of being family-friendly. Water and enclosed shoes are a must, as it is quite a workout. The building provides lockers or cubby holes for your belongings while you play. Games are mixed between physical and mental activities. Spacious bar with various selections, restaurants, and toilets within the venue. Note: lights may cause seizures.

HIJINX TEAM.. Thank you beyond words for making my 14 year old foster daughter's (first ever) surprise birthday celebration so special! OUTSTANDING customer service that went above and beyond.. Our Host Elliot @ Chermside was such an incredible and respectful young gentleman and really pulled out all the stops for the young ladies at the party.. Massive thanks to Elliot you truly made the experience memorable, wishing you and the Hijinx team all the success in the future! VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

Was a very fun, unexpectedly sweaty, experience! My visit: played all 10 games for $50pp. Went on a Sat night. See my hot tip at the end! Access: from within Chermside shopping centre, level 2, in the outside eatery, cinema end. Pros: venue and atmosphere were amazingggg. 2 really good bars. A DJ, good music. The game rooms were very fun, some requiring a bit of physical effort, leaving us sweaty and panting haha. Staff were friendly and fun. Games were varied and well thought out. Cons: Running behind. We didn't finish til 11pm, 30mins over. Thats lateee for games! They had too many groups for the game rooms, was bit disorganised with ppl being shuffled to and from different areas and directed to random rooms. The swipe cards to rooms weren't working. Staff were a little frazzled. One of the rooms was broken. There was no general 'briefing' talk at the beginning, so everyone was left wondering how it worked and what to do (e.g. there's 2 corridors, you do 5 rooms in each, we'll be doing corridor 1 first, complete a room and go to next one on right.) That would have made the experience better and less confusing. Overall, was really fun and a great idea for date night / friends night out etc. TIP: Do suggest you bring more than 2 people, as your group scores go up against other groups of 5 people, so was a little disadvantaged with numbers and point scoring, if you're super competitive!

Wasn’t sure what to expect so decided to book one set of five rooms. From the moment you step foot on the red carpet the experience begins. Felt like a crossover of a quirky hotel and an escape room with touches of Wonderland. Such a fun experience and all the staff added to the excellence of the game. They were flat out busy and had some issues with one of the rooms but not a single one let the stress show. They were friendly, funny and enthusiastic towards everyone. My three children and I LOVED it! Will definitely be going again and next time doing the 10 rooms and attempting to beat our scores.

Oh my gosh where do I start!! I went with my two friends for a fun catch up and we had such a great time. We were welcomed by our hotel attendant Rebel who provided us with an amazing welcoming that we were already laughing. Side note make sure you’re ready to get sweaty and wear something that you can move around in, closed in shoes if recommend. It’s quite active!! Thanks so much Rebel and the team at Hijinx Hotel!

Did all 10 rooms this weekend, and was super impressed (and a little surprised)! It is quite active, so I'd advise doing this after any shopping/lunch. Madame Mercy was great, and my group loved her character acting. This is definitely worth trying out, no matter your age.

Absolute great setup, staff were fantastic and really knew their stuff. One young lady in particular, every time we came out of a challenge she had a different costume on and look like she was having just as much fun as us. Will definitely be planning on coming back and doing the full set of challenges and will also be telling our friends it's a must do when in the city. Can not wait to be able to do this again. Highly recommend checking out Hijix Hotel , great place and activities for family fun .

Been here twice already, it’s as fun and full of adrenaline each visit! What a lovely bunch of staff as well, really hype you up. Only tried 5 games which costs $25/pp. The themed hotel with different challenges in the rooms is such a cool idea. Lil con is that it gets really hot in the rooms and you get a lil sweaty getting them scores up, best to dress casual.

We recently had a 16th birthday party at Hijinx Hotel followed by food and Karaoke in the party room ( in Holy Moly which is right next door ) . The kids had an absolutely amazing time . The host Amy was amazing , so friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond my expectations. We had a slightly rough start when I was stressed as the party bus we hired ( another company) dropped the kids off early so I had panicked phone calls . I tried to drop off our decorations early to Holy Moly but sadly one staff member directly me to wait in the bar where I was left for 15 min stressing alone. Finally I found another amazing staff member , I wish I got her name but she was wearing a chicken hat . This wonderful staff member took my decorations and said they would put them into the party room for me . I ran off the find the kids . Upon my return Amy , from Hijinx Hotel , greeted us and talked us through the night . She took me to the party room and to my surprise the lady from Holy Moly ( with the chicken hat ) was setting up my party decorations in the karaoke room for me . They did amazing job and just made my day . The whole night was amazing. After the rooms we left the kids partying away, we had adult food and cocktails in the Hijinx Hotel bar area . Honestly the drinks and food were so good I would literally return just for that . I highly recommend Hijinx Hotel for parties and events .

Great experience! Super interactive and entertaining! Perfect for a date night. Shout out to Madam Mercy for being a fantastic host and making the Hijinx Hotel journey more enjoyable! Will definitely be back!

Fun activity after eating at one of chermsides many restaurants. Series of mini games with the aim to score as many points as possible during the time. The more people you have, the more chance of getting more points I think. We had 4 people which was a good number but can see how having 2 more (especially taller people lol) would've helped in some of the games. The website says to be there 30 mins early but it wasn't needed in our case. I almost think it's to lure you into their bar and spend money there while you wait. Plenty of parking in Chermside if you don't try use the outdoor parking near the dining areas as that was stressful on a Saturday evening. Free parking if you enter after 5:30pm as well.

Extremely fun place to go with small or large group. There are 10 different Challenge rooms to try. If you are doing the challenge rooms make sure to wear clothing you can move about it, you are going to sweat from the physical activity. But you are going to have fun. Try to get a high score for your groups allocated name to get on the top team’s screen in the bar area.

Better than iFly (as voted by Max) This was a super-fun activity for all the family. We enjoyed it so much we had to do it two days in a row! Whilst the activities we all great (we did all 10), what really made the experience was the staff; what a great team! Even first thing in the morning, they were on form. So welcoming and so fun. They had a heeeeeaaaap of energy and made the experience super special. Thank you team, epic experience.

Our group had so much fun. The challenge rooms were funny, interesting, interactive and simple yet not so simple at the same. We had a few drinks at the bar, the staff throughout the were so friendly, we were always checked on to make sure we were enjoying our time. Thank you Chermside team, you made our night!

Definitely a 5 star experience. And would definitely go to Hijinks hotel again with some more friends. It was 50per person for 10 rooms definitely worth it in my eyes. Each room having a different theme with decor to match definitely instagramable. The host Karsa in Chermside gave simple clear instructions without giving away the surprise in each room. The vibe of the place was very fun and bubbly with the added suspense not knowing what the next room entailed. Be sure to visit for a fun night out !!
