Great service, brilliant food, and some good drinks on offer. Perfect place to drop by and eat at alongside the highway. The food was served in a timely manner and was very tasty. The Canadian theme was everywhere and very charming, eh. Highly recommend getting a bite to eat if you're in that neck of the woods.

Amazing!! I’m Canadian and passed through on my way up to cairns and lemme tell you! I was waiting for this one. I’ve been missing Caesar’s since I left canada and was finally able to have a real Caesar! With REAL Clamato! Nothing like it. My partner and I also had to grab a poutine and some wings to share, they also did not disappoint. The service here is friendly and super welcoming, chatted away with us the whole time! On my way back down I’ll definitely be stopping in again, I recommend you do the same!

We visited here on Friday for a late lunch. I have not been there for a number of years - in fact, it was with the previous owners when I did. I must admit I was blown away by how lovely everything looked. So beautifully renovated and decorated. Loved the Canadian touches - as did our Canadian friends when we sent photos while we talked and waited for our food. We have had take away pizzas in the last twelve months and ordered them again. They were as good as we expected - freshly made, lots of lovely toppings and the crusts just right. The Cheesy toast and Yam fries were perfect. I would have to say their fries are worth the visit alone. They are the best ever! As it was a special occasion (we farewelled her daughter who is returning to Townsville) we shared a Xango for dessert. Wow! White chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried and sprinkled in cinnamon sugar was amazing. Very yummy and recommend sharing as it was very rich in taste! My husband is not a cheesecake fan and he opted for dessert from the selection of cakes and pastries. He chose a passionfruit slice and was very impressed. Both desserts were served with ice cream. Now I need to return to try out their coffee. And I am sure there will be another dessert that tempts me as well. Highly recommend this little restaurant. The staff are friendly, service was quick. It was a delight all round.

Tasty slice of Canada here in Australia 😋 Love the real cheese curds on the poutine!!! We enjoyed that as well as the garlic cheese bread (which was slightly underwhelming sadly) We also grabbed a takeaway butter tart and Nanaimo bar! They taste like the real deal 😋

Food was amazing, service was top notch and attentive. Cocktails 🍸 were a delight. And the decor was surprising from the outdoor exterior, if you ever travel through you must stop.

Love the atmosphere and friendly service! The menu selection is impressive. Food was okay, but to me it lacked a but if oomph, but it could just be that I'm not Canadian enough or what I selected. I'd still go back just to try everything on the menu!! 🙂

We went there yesterday for my son’s birthday lunch. As always, the food was amazing, just like the staff. My son and I usually go there on a regular basis for breakfast 🧇 and yes, it is worth the drive. Thank you all so much for your excellent service 💟 Merry Christmas 🎄 to the Molly Dooker’s family 🌲

You couldn't find a friendlier, more welcoming place to stop and have some delicious food! Plus, they have table service - a really nice change from a lot of counter-service experiences we have in Australia. It was great to see some of the Canadian food options, but it's the little extra effort they've made with the decorations and "Canadian fun facts" that make it even more special. And the staff were extremely friendly and dedicated - they were cleaning the glass until it was spotless and everything was really well tended. Don't let the outside signage fool you (it looks a little rundown) - once you step inside you'll see how well they've furnished and maintained the place!

Stopped in for breakfast while travelling. We received amazing service and the takeaway food was great. We got the breakfast pouting and the breakfast melt as pictured. Lively dine in eating area as well as a stocked bar. Would definitely reccomend.

As a Canadian expat, I love stopping by Mollydookers when we’re in the area. The staff are always friendly and I can’t resist getting a proper (made with cheese curds) Poutine. Hands down the best Poutine I’ve found in Australia! All the food I’ve seen looks amazing but I get the poutine every time as its something I can’t really get elsewhere. Looking forward to stopping by on our next pass, may even try something different…. But probably not lol

I recently visited Mollydookers with high expectations, my dining experience fell far short of what I had hoped for. As a foodie, I strive to provide honest feedback, and I feel compelled to share my disappointing encounter. Upon arrival, the ambiance and decor at Mollydookers were impressive, raising my anticipation for the meal to come. However, as time went on, it became evident that the restaurant's service was severely lacking. Despite making a reservation well in advance, my wait for food exceeded 45 minutes, which is unacceptable considering the size of the establishment. What was even more frustrating was observing larger tables that ordered after me being served their meals first. It was disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for order and fairness. To make matters worse, when my food finally arrived, it was disappointingly cold. I understand that restaurants can experience busy periods, but that should never compromise the quality of the food served. As a foodie, I have dined at numerous establishments, and I firmly believe that even during peak hours, a kitchen should strive to maintain consistency and ensure the meals are served hot and fresh. Regrettably, when I politely mentioned my concerns to the person at the counter after paying, hoping to provide constructive feedback, I was met with a defensive and dismissive response. I had no intention of seeking a discount or causing a scene; I simply wanted to share my observations in the hope that they would improve their service and uphold their reputation. Given the premium prices charged at Mollydookers, I expected a superior dining experience. Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling underwhelmed and dissatisfied. For the price, I believe that even the simplest dishes, like sliders, should be executed flawlessly. While I understand that every establishment can have off days, the combination of slow service, cold food, and an unprofessional response to feedback leaves me hesitant to recommend Mollydookers. I sincerely hope that they take this review constructively and make the necessary improvements to ensure a more consistent and enjoyable dining experience for future patrons.

I hate leaving reviews but after a 3rd time I'm just beyond dissapointed. Moved to the town a year ago and was very excited to try here as many of the locals rave about it. Have gotten take out 3 times, each time getting the poutines. Every single one every time has been dry, and lacking of all the toppings. For $27 you would expect a decent serving, but no every single time is just ridiculously under sized. I've shown locals the pictures of it every time we've had it and they are all shocked. Unsure if we are just unlucky but by the 3rd time now it's a waste of money, which is a shame because we love supporting local.

Great food and atmosphere, staff is friendly and the owner is a very cool guy always happy to have a chat. The chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce are amazing. After that I usually get one of my faves the Reuben sandwich. Recommended!!

We are visitors to this area.staying at Woodgate Beach Our mission today was 1.a swim✅ 2. A meal at a country pub🇨🇦🇦🇺✅ We tried 2 other pubs, Apple Creek and Cordova... both closed. This is a pub/cafe and was VERY chilled and relaxed. I had Chilli con carne ($15) and my partner had the Reubin sandwich. Great food. 10/10 We relaxed, had beer, wine, and coffee to finish off.

Unassuming Cafe with friendly staff and great food. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the sun. The staff were attentive and helpful. Food was served in a timely manner and it was delicious! Have already recommended this place. Well worth the stop!

Great little find along the road, didnt expect to find a Canadian Cafe on our drive to Hervey Bay. Lovely staff who are up for a chat. I ordered a bagel, which was loaded full, and very filling. Would definitely stop again if out that way.

Great spot for lunch or dinner when travelling! We had the Rueben sandwich, their in house slaw (which is amazing), and great onion rings. Also a Canadian Caesar cocktail was a highlight. Will be back for sure!
