Absolutely amazing meal, so fresh and such complex flavours. A true credit to the chefs at this lovely establishment. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly as well. Highly recommended. My daughter proclaimed during the meal “This is my new favourite restaurant!” Well done La Patrona we will be back

Fun Mexican restaurant with a huge margarita selection! There is covered outdoor and indoor seating and a good variety of food for dietary restrictions. I thought the fish tacos were delicious although I was a bit disappointed with the corn entree. I felt like it was reheated and a bit dry. Overall I found it to be tasty but expensive.

Muy bueno! Thrilled to have found this authentic Mexican restaurant. On a recommendation I ordered the flautas. Presentation was beautiful and the dish was delicious! Margaritas were fantastic! The best I have had outside of Mexico. Charming atmosphere with a friendly and welcoming greeting. Staff was on point and knowledgeable about agave and mezcal. A lovely meal and evening. Mucho gracias!

Margarita heaven! The margaritas here are so refreshing and there's so many flavours to try from. Not only are their drinks good but there food is even better. Such a diverse range of flavours in each meal. My favourite was the 'Huarache', a char-grilled rib fillet that delivers on the smoky flavour. In addition, the staff were super friendly and willing to teach us about the menu as there is alot to choose from. Would recommend and would definitely come again!

I rarely eat Mexican foods so don’t really know if this is authentic or not. But food is delicious, the ingredients are really fresh and seasoning is just right on every dishes we ordered. There are many selection of margarita, we ordered a few and they are all good. Staffs are friendly and helpful with our orders. Sadly though there is a 2 hours limit on the table.

Quite a busy place, but you do not feel rushed. The food is varied and suitable for all eaters. Each dish is wonderfully presented. The flavours... Oh my, layers and layers of flavour. Good selection of drinks to enjoy with your meal. The place is nicely decorated, kept clean and has a nice casual vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful with drink and food decisions. Prices are reasonable.

Ambiance is nice. Service is excellent, everyone was so nice. I would eat everything from the menu. They would make the guacamole on your table. Tacos and enchiladas were amazing. Drinks are refreshing and would pair well with food.

OMG! The best Mexican restaurant in Brisbane by far… no contest! Not only the food is delicious but the staff is super friendly. We ordered the octopus tostadas, the Birria tacos, the Mole and the churros, give yourself a treat next time you’re in Tenerife.

We finally checked out La Patrona on Saturday night. This definitely a must go! The staff are super friendly and the food is incredible! Everything is fresh and delicious! Great flavours! Definitely bring your appetite! Great selection of food for coeliacs, which is always nice to see! Entrees *Brisket Gorditas *Fried Cheese with fresh torillas Main *Pork Tacos Dessert *Cajeta- Mexican Dulce de leche cheesecake *Buñuelos- Haven't had these in years, granted they are a bit different to the ones my mum used to make as a kid, but super tasty! Quick, make a booking!!!

Fantastic authentic Mexican cuisine. We really felt like we were back in Mexico. The meals and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the Molcajete share dish if you want to try a few different meats and of course the original guacamole made fresh at your table. Staff all very attentive. Our new favourite restaurant in Brisbane

Third visit to La Patrona - fabulous place and best Mexican in Brisbane in our view - authentic, fresh, complex and layers of taste - ingredients are all of an outstanding quality, and are brought together with care and attention. The hosts are brilliant, very attentive, friendly and helpful - thank you for a special night 🌮

Everything was perfect. Food was deeeeelicious, ordered plenty of entrees, mains, tacos and margaritas and everyone sampled every piece of food as everything was absolutely delectable. Food that makes ya dance. The waitress also had fantastic recommendations. Perfect evening dining experience !

When it comes to Mexican eateries outside of Mexico, I often can't help but to associate the foods on offer are along the mere calibre of typical Tex-Mex restaurants. 😖😖😖 La Patrona is gratefully nowhere near that! Their tacos al pastor,  tacos carnitas are sumptuous, while the seafood tostadas are tantalizingly crunchy. These dishes, when eaten by hands (the Mexican way 😉) and accompanied by a dash of lemon (though I'd prefer lime), made those great savouring moments of delicious tacos in Mexico come rolling back! Despite the wonderful tacos, the pork costillas could have been of meatier ribs and tenderer. The selections of Tequilas and Mezcals on offer are pleasantly extensive. It also brought back fond memories of travel adventures in Oaxaca, as I sipped a glass of their Mezcal Artesanal Joven, served with a slice of orange sprinkled with sal de gusano (at least I hope that's what it was). 😉 Overall, La Patrona lives up to its name and reputation. And I sincerely wish them many more successful years to come. ¡Viva Mexico! 😎🇲🇽

Had an amazing time at La Patrona. The wait staff were incredibly welcoming and lovely people. They sang Happy Birthday to my friend and made the night even more special. The watermelon margarita was also just out of this world 🍉😍 highly recommend

This place was amazing! Couldn't have asked for better service. We took the staff recommendations on the entrees and couldn't have been happier! We got the Pulpo Tostadas, Lamb Barbacoa, and the Huarache, and the guac was made freshly at our table (10/10). The cocktails were also very tasty. Would recommend coming here if you want an authentic Mexican meal with a great vibe. The music was the perfect volume and the staff were lively.

What a great find La Patrons was during our time in Brisbane. Absolutely loved the food, loved the authentic, modern Mexican decor and loved the restaurant’s location - close to the city, without the noise and a lovely walk from the Chrystalbrook Vincent where we were staying. The Margaritas were the best I’ve tasted in many years.

What a beautiful night! I booked for four ppl on Sunday and it was such a beautiful night! The staff were so attentive! Making sure everything was right and very quick to serve! They even brought out a dessert cake and the staff sang happy birthday to me and it made the whole night! when you order the guacamole, it is made FRESH right at your table :) the meals were delicious. Slightly on the pricier side but happy to pay for such amazing cocktails and food. The ensalada de sandía with tajin was divine! Thank you la patrona!!

Was a lovely dinner, a bit expensive for the small sized tacos but they were good. The passion fruit margaritas was amazing! Maybe play some Mexican salsa music in the background?

Very glad to have had La Patrona recommended to us - we had a fab night. The team there obviously love what they do (including a group of the team, who were off-shift, having dinner there!) The drinks were interesting and varied, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Only one small piece of feedback is that we would have preferred a break between our entrées and mains, rather than them slightly overlapping (so much food needs digestion time!). We likely would have finished the mains given a break. Overall, I thoroughly recommend La Patrona for a very closely authentic Mexican dining experience.

Surpassed all expectations… one of our guests said “I don’t usually eat Mexican sloppy spicy beans” …… however our dishes were a burst of flavour delighting the tastebuds from the start… amazing knowledge of foods with service by Mercedes, the cocktails did not disappoint either, it is not often we are still talking about what we ate well into the next day but it was truly an amazing dining experience and we will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a nice Mexican restaurant with outside deck seating and indoor seating. The food is all pretty tasty although a bit more expensive than your general Mexican (although matched with more delicate presentation). The margaritas are pretty tasty. The service was very friendly and enthusiastic and food and drinks didn't take too long after ordering. It was an enjoyable experience. I recommend the tres leches, flautas and tacos. They were also happy to amend the serving size to accommodate for 5 people when there were individual items on the plate (most of the dishes had serves of 2 or 3).

Tasty Mexican food with a nice selection of small, medium and larger dishes. A very extensive margarita (and other drinks) menu. I tried the "premium margarita", which was great with a slightly spicy kick. The food was nice, but I've had better Mexican food. The best dishes we tried were the prawn Ceviche and their rendition of tres leches was nice with a slight hint of pineapple.

Early dinner here before our movie - wife’s suggestion. So glad we came! The premium margarita was excellent. The food was fantastic - one of the best Mexican in town

I'm 50/50 on this restaurant. Can't put my finger on it. Margaritas are absolutely DELISH. That Tequila is yummo. The food well let's say I wouldnt order those items again. For what we paid for our mains I would expect it to fill me up. These barely touched the sides. The mains we had the flavours seemed to be lost in translation on the plate. My steak was lost under lime/lemon and the Fish was lost in too much spices clashing. The desert was liquid sugar and the ice cream struggled to cut thru the sweetness. Not sure if the wafer things were suppose to be that crunchy cos they just kept breaking when you bit it and they just seemed to be wasted on the plate. Would I go back again.....for a margaritas yes hands down food hmmm will have to decide on the day.

I’m in love with the margarita here and will definitely be back to try more. Food was yum and service is amazing too. I love the beef tacos and the jalapeños onion. The two favourite margaritas is the tamarind margaritas and premium spicy 🌶️ margarita. The only flaws is that we couldn’t sit for long since their booking is open for 5:30 then another at 7:30 im guessing so we then had to move to another venue to continue our dessert and drinks - which we weren’t inform ahead of time. Apart from that we enjoy the time here.

If you enjoy great tasting Mexican food, friendly service along with awesome cocktails, this is the place for you. We just had a smaller plates to share but was thoroughly impressed and will be back to try the larger plates.

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. Honestly, the service at this place is unlike any other place I’ve been to. You are always welcomed with a smile and positive vibes and leave feeling so happy. The margaritas are some of the best I’ve ever had and the food is authentic and delicious. Favourite on the menu is Ceviche of the day and the fish tacos!

Enjoyed La Patrona a lot! All the dishes we had were great, felt fairly priced as well, same for the white Mexican wine we tried. The tacos were the highlight, liked them better than the guacamole and the chevice, but would order everything again! Would aim to come back some time in the future for sure

This gorgeous little place is incredible. We dined in May and every time I think back I can’t help but smile. Service was impeccable, setting divine, but the food and drink are just *top notch*. I couldn’t help but go back for two of the tamarind cocktails (sweet, salty, tangy delight!) and the food… well… I can’t describe how much we enjoyed it (the mole omg). Best Mexican I’ve ever had (but I haven’t been to Mexico so…). If I could give 6 stars I would!

  • 5/5 Mellisa D. 3 years ago on Google
Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. The service is warm and prompt, the cocktails delicious but the food is next level! Absolutely incredible and packed full of flavour. We could not have been more impressed!

  • 5/5 Rebecca A. 2 years ago on Google
La Patrona is amazing! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Food was excellent. They come and make guacamole fresh at your table. I had a selection of entrees, mains and dessert and even some margaritas. The premium margarita and flautas were definitely a highlight. The owner greeting everyone in Spanish made the restaurant even more charming. I'm already planning my next trip here. Definitely a must visit spot in Brisbane.
