I
have
travelled
to
Ongole
with
my
friend
to
explore
Bhairav
Kona.
We
took
Hotel
near
Ongole
railway
station
and
then
visited
Bhairav
Kona
on
first
day
visit
and
returned
to
Hotel.
During
chit
chat
with
Hotel
team
came
to
know
that
this
Chenna
Kesava
temple
is
located
near
to
the
hotel
and
which
is
very
famous
temple
of
Ongole.
Then
next
day
morning
we
went
there
and
had
Chenna
Kesava
Swamy
Darshan
in
the
morning.
We
are
so
blessed
that
we
got
Swamy
Darshan
very
surprisingly.
This
temple
is
located
very
near
to
Ongole
Railway
Station.
Hardly
10
min
travel
distance
and
the
Location
called
as
Kesava
swami
Peta.
The
main
deity
of
this
temple
is
Chenna
Kesava
Perumal
who
is
an
incarnation
of
Lord
Vishnu.
History
of
the
temple:
During
the
end
of
16th
Century,
Rama
Bhadhra
Raju
and
Raghupathy
Raju,
who
were
ruling
the
Vijayanagara
Kingdom
constructed
this
temple.
These
kings
were
ardent
devotees
of
Lord
Vishnu
and
hence
they
installed
an
idol
of
the
lord
in
their
fort
itself
and
named
lord
as
Chenna
Kesava
Swamy.
They
use
to
perform
regular
poojas
and
rituals
to
the
lord.
Most
of
the
villagers
do
take
the
darshan
of
the
lord
from
outside
the
fort
during
the
ceremonies
and
festival
celebrations.
Due
to
huge
crowd
there
were
security
issues
during
festivals.
then
keeping
this
in
mind
king
called
Asthana
pundit
Vangala
Seetharam
Avadhani
and
consulted
to
get
the
solution.
After
the
discussion
of
the
King
with
the
Pandit's
have
had
come
to
a
conclusion
to
build
the
temple
on
the
hill
of
Ongole
and
the
today's
temple
was
built
in
present
place
in
the
year
1712
for
common
people
worship.
The
temple
premises
with
a
neat
circular
courtyard
houses
the
small
other
temples
of
Sri
Bhaktanjaneya,
Sri
Venkatesa,
Sri
Rama
Vasundhara
and
Sri
Satyanarayana
Swamy.
Special
pujas
and
abhishekas
are
performed
during
Karthika
and
Dhanur
Masa
duration.
