Rooms were nice, amazing size very clean. Few minor things dropped some stars. Overall hotel looked good. Plug in bathroom didn’t work, couldn’t dry my hair with a mirror. The bar and restaurant were closed with sign or update so I ended up sitting for 15 minutes waiting for service. It would’ve been nice to have a sign and meant I had no where to get dinner after travelling internationally.

Stay away from this hotel. This rooms were dirty, bathrooms were not clean, furniture was old and dinged. Service was horrible. We got in at 11 am at night and there were 2 couples before us waiting for their room. They were told that they couldn't find their reservation. Those poor people showed them that they booked thru Hilton. Instead of talking to these people and apologizing that they double booked, the front desk called cops. Long story short, same thing happened to us. They couldn't find our reservation and had double booked and gave our rooms to someone else, even though we are Hilton honor members and booked through Hilton website. After an hour and a half, they gave us a room with a King ( we had reserved a queen- 2 adults and 2 kids) . The room was dirty. The floor was not clean. Front desk had to go down and get us towels. The bathroom was dirty as well and there was a half used shower gel left in the shower stall. We could not sleep at all as this room faced the garage and had unloading loading noises all throughout the night and early morning. After talking to the front desk, they finally shifted to a room with two queens and gave us free breakfast, the next day which was nice. The room that they switched us to was clean but of course the furniture was old and had scratches and dings on it. The front desk manager was nice told us that we wont be charged for that night as a courtesy and she apologized . However, they charged us for NO SHOW for the first night. This hotel has lot of problems. Younger lady at front desk was very rude did not apologize. They have horrible service. If they are negative ratings, I would give them a negative 10. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel. The only good thing about this hotel was eclectic decor.

Horrible hotel. Stayed for one night. Arrived a little before midnight, took over 30 minutes to check in with no one in front of me. First was told I didn't have a booking, then that I booked a king rather than two queens, which was incorrect. Was told they didn't have my room, which 15 minutes later, said they did. Although I booked through a third party, they charged me at the hotel as well. They also charged for food and beverage even though we did not take anything. The hotel won't refund the room they double booked for and continues to tell me different stories. Would not stay here if it was the last hotel in New Jersey! Stay Away!!

Cute modern hotel located in Rahway, NJ so it's a quick ride from midtown if you catch the NJ Transit train. Once you get there, there are tons of cute restaurants around the hotel. The hotel does offer events like Jazz Nights if you want to check that out. They also have a bar and a rooftop that has a view of New Jersey and New York. The room was a really large size but I wish the bed were a bit more comfortable.

The hotel was safe and clean, and most of the staff was friendly. But it was not worth the price. With taxes and all that, we paid $200 per night... but got there and found that there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. And the TV did not work, and there was no one there that knew what to do. And the hot water was not really so hot, a disappointment in the winter. And the only place (really the only place) to park is a municipal parking garage that charged $14 per day. So, it really is a very bare-bones hotel at an extraordinary price. A Motel 6 would give you much more value for half the price. I would not stay there again unless the price was significantly less. Or at least the room reflected something of the price I was paying.

For 200 a night I'd expect a lot more. At first glance the room was decorated nicely but then as you settle in you notice the floors were not clean. Actually very dirty. The shower did not drain. The bathroom in general was in disrepair. No microwave or mini fridge. The furniture had previous food or drink splattered on it. The front desk receptionist was very nice and bar area was beautiful. That being said, I'd never pay this price again for this room...

This hotel is not worth your money, way too expensive for what you get. This is a "by Hilton", but I don't think this hotel should have a connection to the Hilton brand name. When we checked in at the lobby the man behind the counter was wearing an Adidas hoody? This already was a strange start for a Hilton hotel. At the bar right next to the lobby, there was a jazz band playing, the music was way too loud. Couldn't understand the man behind the desk very well for the check-in. Also when we went there for a drink it was hard to have a good conversation with each other because of the music. Then the rooms, these were not well maintained, you could see all the previous fixes, it just looked cheap. The rooms were also very noisy, we heard multiple people talking or playing music during the night. Also, for some reason, we heard a lot of chairs moving around al the time? And to make things worse, we were on the 2nd floor in the back, and right underneath our window there was some sort of basement that had dogs in it? You guessed it, the dogs were barking all night! This hotel also has resident apartments, I think that these are nice rooms and the hotel just has all the rest of the rooms that are in the wrong locations of the building.

I enjoyed our two week stay but…. The tings stings during the stay are 1. They don’t have free parking, nearby city parking charges by hour up to $14 overnight 2. No Fridge or Oven in the room - Long stay are difficult Attendants were very helpful and hold our luggage post checks out for 2-3 hours.

Hotel is clean and functional. Downstairs has music going and you can hear it a bit on the second floor. Note that there is an EV car charger in the parking garage (which was the main draw for us) but overnight charging is not allowed (?) so it's a bit pointless for a hotel overnight... Also there are signs posted that day the hotel will validate parking for a 50% discount but, when I asked at the front desk they said I have to pay full price directly to the garage (despite signs in the garage saying to pay in the lobby) Otherwise a great stay!

AC was not broken. The noisy fan would cycle sporadically for only a few seconds making it difficult to sleep to the point it had to be shut off to get any sleep at all. The room had numerous other minor deficiencies which all add up to ruin any stay, such as torn furniture, empty soap dispensers in the bathroom, questionable hot and cold water controls that took a long time for any adjustments to the water temperature to be felt. The parking garage has 6’6” clearance, preventing most trucks and some suvs from entering. Then you are stuck with finding limited street parking and walking back to the hotel. When addressed with the hotel staff after the first night of our two night stay we were informed there was nothing they could do to cancel the second night. Pretty much, thanks for your money, too bad about the room. I am very disappointed as I have had many pleasant stays at Hilton properties in the past. This was by far the worst.

Nest thermostat has cheap settings on it. No matter what I did the room temp never got below 75. Several hot nights and bare min of towels. Room wasn’t very clean. Water is scalding hot and will eventually result in lawsuit. As Diamond Elite IHG, and gold Hilton and Marriott…. I won’t return.

Great location, nice bar and lobby. The rooms can use some TLC and digital key technology and physical key car ideas need to go away. Too much light pollution in rooms. Blackout window dressing needed, smoke detectors that don't blink and TV without standby light turned off would be nice. Lastly, better pillows and maybe a better parking situation would be nice. I stayed here when visiting mom in Rahway city twice so far. The staff was wonderful and have made it the reason I stay here. I may have to find a better place if no improvements are made to make the stay better at the hotel

This hotel was perfect for our stay! It is very clean and comfortable. Only thing I would say is the rooms can use a hallway runner and a rug in the bed/lounge chair area. Otherwise this hotel was a great stay! Looking forward to staying again in the future

My stay was amazing. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. There was a Jazz band in the lobby on Saturday night which was great and the ambiance was awesome. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, Ray, was very helpful and accommodating and very welcoming. We can’t wait to go back!

Nice hotel with interesting theme. Front desk staff were helpful although not overly friendly. Parking at nearby parking garage is $6 with hotel validation. Right across from Rahway train station for easy commuting into city or elsewhere.

Big rooms, comfortable beds, nice shower, and Nest system in the rooms. Downstairs bar and lounge area is a great vibe and has live music on the weekends - but couldn’t hear in our rooms (perfect!). Ray in the restaurant downstairs was particularly friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. Will stay again!

My wife and I loved the Watt! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. It has a classy but modern feel and is extremely convenient in terms of location. We took the train into NYC from literally across the street. There are a few good restaurant options within walking distance as well. The bar downstairs was an added bonus too.

Our party of 14 booked 6 rooms 9/1-4/2023. Anthony & Naomi were super kind during our check-in, offering food suggestions that were very helpful. The rooms were very nice. The roof top patio was cool and offered nice NY City skyline views. They have live music in the lobby / bar multiple nights every week which we all really enjoyed. Very nicely priced rooms with super easy & convenient access to the Rahway Train Station. It was so easy to get from the hotel to EWR and to NY Penn Station. We loved our stay here!

Great location… an easy commute to the city. I like being outside of the hustle and bustle, noise, crime, and grit of NYC. The hotel itself is a five minute walk to the train. The room are spacious and clean. Whenever I call for service, they send someone right away. Friday & Saturday night jazz in the cafe is an outstanding bonus. I am very happy I chose this place.

Nice clean spacious rooms in a great location, the gym is well equipped as well. There wasn't a microwave, or fridge in the rooms which is a negative but doable seeing as the hotel also has a stocked bar that serves great food. The reason for the 3 star review is a private event rented out the bar and kicked all paying hotel guests out, highly inconvenient and will affect my choices and recommendation in the future. Update: The bartender's servers and other employees that I had the pleasure of interacting with deserve 5 stars, they are amazing people that are doing a fantastic job (even the bartender that said we could not be served because of the private event, he was fantastic the following night no hard feelings he was just doing what he was told). The place in general is 4 stars The rating is strictly off of general upkeep, there are a few blemishes that could use some professional touches to ensure the maintenance personnel are able to keep up a 5 star appearance.

Nice hotel, great location. Good vibe. My room had some peeling paint in the bathroom on the ceiling. But overall, you will like this hotel. It's cool too, as the upper floors are condos and I loved seeing the residents coming in and out with their 🐕 dogs. Really nice service from a guy named: Ron.

This was a love hate relationship. The rooms were big, but sterile, lacking furniture and noisy. Your either under the bar with live music banging through your room or a dog kennel or training center with dogs barking. I demand clean hotel rooms and this one clean, just felt "empty".

  • 4/5 Raymond S. 6 months ago on Google
In general, the room was decent sized but there is no fridge. There is only one restaurant in the hotel. The food is nice and they are quite responsive. For breakfast, there is no buffet... something that I am accustomed to at other hotel... you have to order from their menu. There is no parking space at the hotel itself. If you drive, use the public parking behind it. Location wise, it is quite convenient; the Rahway train station is just across the road, from it, if you want to go to New York City.

Shout out to John at the morning cafe and Naomi the manager. Both were super friendly and helpful. First time to this area and they made it great. Naomi helped with a room adjustment also. Thanks to you both!

We checked in closer to 4pm the first room they gave us was dirty bed was a mess towels were still in the bathroom. Went down to front desk to complain the gentleman gave us another room the sheets in that room had blood stains . Went down the third time for another room this room was cleaner but the bathroom had smears all over the shower. The person at the desk told us the manager would be in contact and never did call or address us at check out. Have used this hotel previously and do not plan to use it for the future por service and cleanliness. Perks across from station. Parking cheap

Great location, next to train station. Nice bar with live music on friday and saturday....we had a great time at the bar. Super service, they sent me my left behind bose and sunglasses to my address. For sure, I will choose the hotel again.

Stayed here for work and was satisfied with the rooms. Parking is not attached but nearby and there is a good selection of restaurants in Rahway just a minute away. Front desk staff were wonderful specifically Anthony and Sherae.

Stayed here for 9 days before the holidays and thought it was great! The room was nice. Housekeeping was on the floor daily so was able to change out towels and replenish any items. Hotel is located across the street from train station so getting into nyc is a breeze. The hotel has a bar and serves food however there are some great restaurants located a short walk. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

What a gem of a hotel!!! Located directly across the street from the Rahway train station, makes it super convenient for a short commute to NYC. Staff is exceptionally accommodating and professional. It seems like to the person they can't do enough to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Rooms are both large and exceptionally clean. Lounge is warm and friendly with a reasonably priced drink menu and have recently added a food menu to Lounge area. Very enjoyable stay and would've rated this hotel even higher, if possible.

What a great Hotel, The Staff are friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff were great! The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The Beds are fantastic, the shower is a nice size, and the water pressure is above average and HOT! The bar was quaint and enjoyable. The bar/lounge had live music all three nights of my stay and was very pleasant it offers great craft cocktails and Local Brews/IPA. The Lounge bartenders were professional with great service. What a great place to stay! The Hotel was clean and the staff courteous & Professional. There is a lot of cool art and Local fair in walking distance. I would recommend The WATT Hotel for any occasion.

My stay was comfortable. The room was clean and the hotel in a convenient location for what I needed to accomplish during my stay in NJ. However I did not like that the room had no refrigerator nor microwave. Also the floor I stayed on reeked of marijuana and gave me a terrible headache as soon as I stepped off the elevator booth nights. Once in my room the smell was no longer only the headache 😩😩😩 I will say that if your looking for a quick, convenient, clean stay at an affordable porch this place will accommodate.

Not worth the money!! When checked in, was given no information aside from room number. Did they offer breakfast? Who knows. No fridge in the room or microwave. Was told while checking out that they offer mini fridges if you ask. The paint was peeling off the wall in the bathroom. The rooms echoed and I could hear the jazz band in my room until 12. The only good thing about the room we stayed in (wouldn't even call it a hotel) was that we were across the street from the train so it was really easy to get to NYC

  • 3/5 Steven L. 1 year ago on Google
The place has a lot of potential, but the rooms were not as clean as they should be (for example, shelves in armoire where you put folded clothes were dirty, floors were not cleaned well) and the room furniture is definitely showing "wear and tear." The staff were very nice. The nearby area has a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. While I did not use the train while traveling, the hotel is very conveniently located near the station.

  • 2/5 Ji 1 year ago on Google
When I checked in, the entrance and reception area gave me a bad vibe with loud music and dim lighting. The music was so loud that the receptionist and I couldn't hear each other and the receptionist had to step out to the side to get close to me. As to the room, i paid extra to get a better bathroom amenity but nothing seems notable. The website talked about a bath tub , which was a reason for me to pay more, but nope! Wasn't there. When i called the front desk, the receptionist told me there are no rooms in this hotel that has a bath tub! In the room, the furniture was scratched and old fashioned as if I am in a 2-star motel. I just can't believe this is a 4-star hotel. Go to a different hotel and save your money.

My husband and I had a great weekend away in rahway. The hotel is beautiful and has a great bar and restaurant. The service was excellent, we were greeted immediately by Keisha and she was so sweet and helpful. The parking is either find street parking or park in the parking garage which is pretty much attached to the hotel, the hotel will verify your parking do you only pay $6 per day instead of $12. The rooms were nicely designed and clean but they did show some wear and tear. This hotel was about 25 mjn from the American dream mall which was the reason we were visiting to go to Big Snow indoor ski park! The hotel is in a good location if you like to walk to nearby restaurants. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

While I love the modern look of this hotel I can’t recommend staying here. It’s easily one of the loudest Hiltons I’ve ever stayed at. The walls and ceiling are paper thin. You hear EVERYTHING and the culprit seems to be that since the rooms are very sparse, but larger you hear it all.

  • 3/5 Elisabeth n. 9 months ago on Google
For the price you can't beat the room it could be cleaner but then again you get what you pay for. I'm going to complain about the food waited over an hour to get my food to bring up to the room. Salmon and rice and fish tacos. I'm glad I checked the order before I went up to the room I ended up sending the tacos back because there was nothing really on it it looks like someone just slapped the food down in a got up to the room Open the salmon and rice and as you can see my dog would not even eat it it looks like it was fried because it was frozen so in order to defrost it they threw it in the fryer. Was the most horrible thing . drnks at the bar or not the greatest but just order a basic drink Don't make it too difficult for the The problem is they don't have enough help so you have the person in the kitchen who's one person in the bartender who's one person trying to wait on everybody. bartender. My dog would not even eat it. If you want to stay here just don't go to the bar for drinks and do not order food. My dog is looking at me like what is this. When a dog won't eat the food something is seriously wrong.

Overall I had a lovely night stay at the Watt. Positives: The staff were polite and professional. She did her best to take care of the issue with my room when I arrived. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable for me. I like a softer bed and I would say this was a little softer than medium. The room was extremely quiet. I had no adjoining rooms and could not hear any of the salsa music that was playing in the lobby. The nest thermostat was easy to set to the temperature I wanted. I was on the fourth floor. It is located near many tasty restaurants, is safely and easily walkable. I highly suggest soup'd and a lovely little Puerto Rican restaurant that was in between souped and the hotel. Negatives: Though I'd requested a check in at 3:00 when I arrived at 4:30 my room was not ready. This is the first time I've had this happen at a Hilton when I've checked in ahead of time online. I was given a room that worked for all of my needs and was able to get into the room by 5:00. The hallways, lobby and elevator are not air conditioned. So they were very warm. The shower pressure was not very good. I think it could have used a new shower head. The only ice machine is on the third floor. Which is not very convenient if you're on another floor. For a four star hotel I would have liked slightly better amenities. Like makeup remover wipes or a slightly higher quality toiletry line. I have seen other reviews where they said the neighborhood wasn't very safe. I currently live in a suburb of Virginia and grew up in Chicago. I found the neighborhood to be extremely safe. I walked alone, 7 minutes from the hotel, in the early evening to pick up dinner and had no troubles. Some others have mentioned the hotel is a little rundown. You can see there is some wear and tear on some of the furniture in the lobby as well in the room. There were some scuffs on the wall in my room. But nothing that diminished my stay at the hotel.

Pros: Great location. Train station directly across the street with 45 minute ride to Penn Station. Lots of good food options in walking distance. Great bar/lounge. Cons: Noisy rooms from train and parking garage. Hard, uncomfortable bed and pillows. No refrigerator. Digital keys do not work on floor entry. Outdated, dingy looking room hallways.

Great hotel with attentive and courteous employees, the rooms are beautiful, could use a microwave or fridge. The lounge and the rooftop terrace are chic and a big plus. The AC is kind of loud, I didn't try to adjust it myself though, I just put on ear plugs. There is a lot of coffee shop around which was nice. The parking is beside the hotel. The cleanest of the room is average, just some nitpicking here and there, but no deal breakers for me. Special thanks to Ray for his service.

Loved this hotel. Our last visit to New York we had a hard time finding a hotel to stay in that was clean. We stayed in New Jersey this time around and we lucked out finding this place. It was perfect! And in the perfect location! They had live music downstairs and an actual bar that was open. My only issue was the fact that breakfast is not included!

Charged twice for the room. Booked online and prepaid at that time. Gave a card for incidentals upon arrival to hotel. Asked for refund and was refused. Asked for copy of folio and told none available. How do you charge my card and not have a receipt for me? Asked for supervisor to reach out for 3rd party online booking company and she said she was too busy. Asked for manager and Raj was not on the property. Thanks Kadeshia (sp)? Just be careful of this hotel double dipping. So sad.

The initial check in took 10 minutes for anyone to even appear. Then to leave there is no one at the counter I’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes waiting for someone to appear to be able to leave, otherwise if I leave without warning they make a surcharge on the card as if it were my fault that they don’t have staff available at all times. This hotel shouldn’t say that they are 4 stars like a lot of 1 star the staff that welcomes you in the lobby is rude. Not recommended Or at least paying more than 200 dollars for one night isn’t worth them

Stayed two nights for business. Upon check-in we encountered Anthony, he answered all our questions, made us feel at home and gave us some great food / drink recommendations. We tried food and drink at the bar, both were great, if you want a speciality drink Bruno knocks it out of the park!

The Watt is fantastic! This place felt like home. Amazing lounge with incredible food, great entertainment and a staff that knows how to cater to your every need. We had a catered event in their private party space and it was absolutely perfect. Every one of our guests told me they had a great time, loved the food, the band and the space. We will be back for sure!

Filthy. Blood on sheets. Filthy shower.Nasty smells. And charge there own guests for parking. If you have to stay at this pig sty bring your own bedding along with disinfectant and air freshners. Make sure to check for bed bugs. And bloody sheets. Sleep in your car. Much better off

Third time staying here for work. First two times were uneventful and fine. But this third time they checked me in to a room that just wasn’t ready; there was cleaning equipment still in the room and it was missing towels (the latter required two visits to the front desk to solve.) The room smelled of smoke. But typically a convenient place to stay in Rahway if you want to be walking distance to Merck or across the street from the train to NYC and easy Amtrak transfers.
