We enjoyed our stay here. My family stayed in the 2 queen suite with pullout couch. The beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was strong. The breakfast was okay. They had a variety to choose from each morning. There was always coffee in the lobby as well. We stayed here to visit NYC, which was about 30 min with traffic to the Staten Island ferry. Which I highly recommend. My youngest daughter enjoyed the pool as well. Water temps were comfortable… the hot tub could have been a little warmer. To access the pool and fitness area you need to have the front desk personnel key you in, which u thought was weird. They do not provide bedding for the pullout couch so u need to call down for that but they are prompt once called. The road it’s on is quite busy but I honestly didn’t hear any traffic until late morning. I would stay here again.

Honestly I would have to say that this one of the worst stays that I have had. The bread from breakfast was molded. The pool was closed because maintenance did not clean and it looked green. Even though there were a group of kids in there. When I called, I was told the pool would be open. They switched out my king suite to a double queen bed. Not giving credit or anything. Not staying here ever again!

If I could give this zero stars I would. The hotel is dirty, smelly and dated. We were supposed to stay for two weeks over the holiday season. The first room we were given was questionable. It smelled, the rug was filthy and was dated. I unpacked and used the bathroom. The toilet wouldn't' flush. I called down to the desk and they said they couldn't fix it, I'd have to take another room. The second room was just as bad. The shade wouldn't roll up at all. I rolled it manually and the stench was horrible. If it wasn't so late I would have left that night. We decided to leave in the morning. We went to bed and there was a sheet and empty duvet. They never put the blanket/comforter inside. I tried to call for a blanket and the phone didn't work. I used my cell phone to call. At this point of I was done. Dirty, dingy, smelly and broken are the adjectives I'd use. I couldn't get out of that place fast enough.

I stayed at this hotel for work and requested early check out. The lady that we spoke to didn't get her name. She said the system couldn't let her check us out and wrote down our name and room number so later she can check us out. Never got it done. Now they charged us the whole time we stay there which was 4 nights apparently we only stayed there 2 nights. We called the hotel so many time and no one want to take care of it. They refused to check the camera to check who was the one that we spoke to that day. We will file a complaint with their cooperate and local BBB to execute this problem.

Very polite, warm, welcoming staff right from the front desk to the housekeeping, night and day crew. Clean, comfortable rooms. Wish they did not take away lotions from the bathroom amenities. Suggest they offer complementary single use ear buds to cover the noise from surrounding rooms.

Not the best location. On a main road. Pool has so much chlorine in it you can barely walk in th room.was in there for 10 mins before we had to leave due to it burning our eyes. Said pool was heated. It was not. Jacuzzi was room temp. Had coffee cups and coffee in the room , but no coffee maker. About an hour from New York with traffic. Overall the stay was fine.

Not a great hotel to stay at for more than one night. Checked in and unpacked and found out the toilet didn’t work. Hotel couldn’t fix and moved us to a worse room. Blinds didn’t work, room was dirty and dated. We checked out the next morning. Misty and dirty. Need didn’t come with a blanket just a sheet. We had to request a blanket. Got stuck at the back of the hotel looking at somebodies back yard trash. Location on route 1 and 9 not great to get to and from this north bound location.

Good-morning, this is worst hotel I been at so far . I was moved around to two rooms then a suite because the heat doesn’t work in this hotel . Staff even said people been complaining about this since she started working here . The heat comes out cold the whole time & their cleaning people are not the best either . Even in the suite the heat comes out cold but it comes out hot but not for long . When you’re taking the staircase the heat is blasted through there feels like 90 degrees, so why don’t these rooms have great heat .Also the beds here aren’t comfortable at all most cheapest mattress on here , I’m 22 and never had back problems till I kept sleeping in this bed. They need to ungrade a lot of things. Toilet doesn’t flush properly. I will not be coming back here & this was a work trip . I would go somewhere else to get your money worth 💯

Of all the Holiday Inn’s I have stayed at, this hotel has to have the thinnest walls ever!! We could hear the words being spoken on the neighbors TV all night. For being a newer hotel or newly remodeled? soundproofing was overlooked. Besides that the hotel was clean, new, extremely spacious with all the amenities.

I enjoyed my recent stay Sept. 13th-15th. Spacious clean, room. The staff was great when I need to extend my stay by one day! Convenient location to EWR. I loved the king size bed but I didn't like the pillows. Too squishy for my taste but I made it work. The comforter on my bed was visibly worn and should have been thrown out. Nice bathroom! 😍 Lots of hot water! The Dove products was a nice touch too! 👌 I would stay here again!

This room was one of the best rooms I've had in a while. Star quality. I didn't expect it to be this amazing, but it was. The staff was great and so was the breakfast. I can't wait to come back.

Price was right, liked the idea of a pool but the smell of chlorine was WAY TOO MUCH! I appreciate a clean pool but have it ventilated PLEASE we couldn't enjoy it because the smell was really affecting us. Rooms are fine but beds are murder on your back! Breakfast was good.

Was stuck on a delayed flight in Newark. Booked late was able to get a room. Extremely clean. Great staff. Pancake machine was broken that day but the rest of breakfast was good. Hopefully never flying through Newark again but highly recommend this hotel

Had a wonderful time for my son 10th Birthday. The only thing it wasn't no bedding for the pull out bed took a hour for it to come to the room. That's minor I forgot all about it after I saw the breakfast they had everything.

We decided to stay here after our flight was cancelled. We didn't have much options. However, we found a friendly place with welcoming staff, spacious rooms and a rich breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality!

Cleanest bathrooms I've seen in a while. Comfy beds and pillows. Carpet in rooms leave something to be desired. Superior staff. Night and day shift incredibly friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay this weekend on this property. We were greeted by 2 amazing ladies (Annie & Angie) who made sure our family were comfortable and gave us a really nice room with great view. Breakfast is also very good quality. Overall Holiday Inn Express chain is my go to hotel but this hotel went above and beyond and looked like 5 star hotel very good and nicely maintained

Overall a pleasant experience. Clean, well maintained, and well lit. Missed the indoor pool, but my room was very nice. Large, clean, and comfortable. Would stay here again.

This place was horrible! By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Our “suite” smelled of old cigarettes and fresh marijuana. There were children screaming and running up and down the halls until after 1:30am. When I checked out at 4am to catch a flight, there was were suspicion dealing going on out of the front of the hotel. Do not stay here!!! My in-laws stayed at the comfort inn and had a very nice night, I suggest that as a much better option!

I used to think of Holiday Inn Expresses as no-frills but pleasant stays. Not anymore. The room reeked of mold and mildew with damp carpet and blankets. I tried desperately to sleep and woke up at 4 A.M. unable to sleep anymore because of the moldy smell, finding mold on the window. I could feel the cells of disease growing in my body because of the mold. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, the room was clean except for the mold, and the check-in woman was nice. The breakfast area was extremely hot and unpleasant, however. The jacuzzi in the pool area was too cold and had an unbearable amount of chlorine that stung my eyes. I can see from the other reviews the hotel staff lie in response to that allegation and state some part of the pool is broken - clearly not true. A horrible place to which I vow to never return and couldn't wait to come home to advise others to steer clear - unless you love breathing mold through your nose and mouth all night.

Reasonably priced, good free breakfast, close to where I wanted to be in jersey. The entrance we took to get in was super awkward, we didn't go in at the dunkin donuts. Room was nice, bed a lot firmer than I'm used to, but it was fine. Climate control in the room was great as well. Set it to 65 and it was an icebox. No problems with hot water, maybe a little slow to heat up, but it was nice when it got to temp. Would stay again.
